Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "NA"
Cons: "NA"
Pros: "Crew was funny."
Pros: "Great price Non stop Flight at good time"
Cons: "Kayak web site a little hard to navigate"
Cons: "A 2 hour delay on my outgoing flight and a half hour delay on my return flight. Charged for everything and then some. Will not fly Frontier Airlines again. I wish I had a better review."
Pros: "It got me where I needed to go, albeit with a little effort and stress. Crew was pleasant. Thank you."
Cons: "6 people overbooked, who might not have gotten seats. I was one of them. I recognize there was nothing I could have done either way but it was unpleasant to hear I might not get a seat on a flight I bought a ticket to a month ago, regardless of the price. And the return flight was dismal. Had to wait an extra 3 hours for maintanence on the plane (fine, would rather it get fixed than have an issue in the air) but we were told there would be vouchers worth some amount sent to our email after we landed back in cincinnati. It's been 3 days and I have received no such vouchers. It also turns out I payed $45 for a personal bag that was I guess covered under a personal bag? I recognize this as being partly my fault, but when I went to get my ticket "personal bag" wasn't an option, so I didn't think I had one, or my single backpack actually was $45 to take with me. Was not a terrible experience. Just not a good one."
Pros: "SEAT SPACE"
Cons: "Boarding zones designation. Payinng for a snack pack or even a softdrink/water. Pushing your card up n down the isle. Paying for carry on."
Pros: "Timeliness of plane departure. Airefate was a great deal ."
Cons: "Excessive baggage fees"
Pros: "I arrived alive. Flight was not delayed. Water was free."
Cons: "Leg room and seats lack an appropriate amount of cushions and space for long flights. The seat back trays are a joke. My tablet was bigger than the tray. I also dislike the extra charges for EVERYTHING that was not disclosed on the purchase through Kayak like seat selection, carryon bags, early on zones, etc. No snacks were offered on the flight. I understand that this is a discount carrier, but after all was said and done, I could have paid the same for a major airline and had way more room and comfort. No pre-Check. WTH??!!! The airline attendants bumped me going up and down the aisle EVERY single time and never offered an apology for bumping me and I was NOT in their way."
Pros: "Great"
Cons: "Nothing"
Cons: "Arrived on time time only to be told to wait in line as others who arrived late and after me were moved to front of check in line. Stuck on tarmac due to rain: 30 minutes so far. Crew on board was fine. True what others say about plane feeling old."
Pros: "New planes Courteous crew On time"
Cons: "Baggage charges"
Pros: "Absolutely nothing. I just feel lucky I made it back to Orlando considering I did not get to my destination on time."
Cons: "Everything about frontier. I understand it is a budget airline and I don't expect the basic comforts any other airline would provide. However I do not appreciate the hidden fees they will find a way to slap onto a traveler no matter how much research you do. In reality they are probably one of the more expensive airlines although they have no customer service and you could not possibly imagine a more uncomfortable flight. I also no longer trust them to to get me to a destination on time. I will never fly frontier again and kayak should consider no longer booking flights with this airline. When I tried to complain they referred me to kayak as if it was kayaks fault that my flight was delayed."
Pros: "Arrived at airport at 940 pm which was great because we were early but didn't get off the plane until almost 12am due to an airplane being worked on at our parking gate and also had to wait for local sheriffs office to board the plane to escort a lady off the plane when we finally did park and during that time the flight attendants were yelling at the paying customers because they had their phones out. One flight attendant even smacked a phone out of someone's hands! Will take a miracle to get me and my family to ever fly frontier again. Worse flight experience ever."
Pros: "Check in was quick and pleasant. There was a delay of an hour due to weather elsewhere. Boarding was easy and I found my seat to be comfortable. I didn't purchase food or entertainment. The crew was polite and professional."
Pros: "Everything about the flight itself was great! :D"
Cons: "Delays always suck though. :("
Pros: "The price."
Pros: "Girl at checkin was nice."
Cons: "Wish you had boarding pass on mobile phone so wouldn't have to stand in line to get pass"
Cons: "The flight was late and no one informed us."
Cons: "Supposed to leave at 8:00 PM. Then at 9:45PM. Actually Left at 12:30 AM. No announcements as to why the delays. Once on aircraft, still no indication or apology as to why the huge delay. I will never book on Frontier again. Also new seats on Airbus are terrible!!"
Pros: "Having flown Frontier before knew what to expect. You are charged extra for everything"
Cons: "Good and drinks are pricy. My flight was 2 hours would not want to sit in their non reclining seats longer than that. Took over 30 minutes for bags to arrive at baggage claim."
Cons: "The 8Pm flight got to the airport at 12:20 Am . We boarded the flight and departed Cincinnati at1245. Arrived in Orlando at1:40 am. I have to take a van to my home 50 miles from Orlando and got home at3;38am from a flight that was suspose to get me home much early. I don't think I will be flying Frontier Airlines again. Betty Overman"
Pros: "smooth flight, nice people"
Cons: "No free tea"
Pros: "On time, price was good"
Cons: "Zones were only called once"
Pros: "Aircraft was clean, staff were really friendly and professional, no flight issues"
Cons: "Did not like size of pull down trays, do not like paying for a cup of coffee and sure as hell do not like being asked to leave. A tip for the attendant when using a credit card. Do not like to be gouged for amenities that were once free."
Pros: "The flight was on time"
Cons: "The seats were not comfortable, length of time for check in, although we were early, we couldnt check in early"
Pros: "The crew all were friendly; they greeted you when you boarded and when you exited. The pilot informed you when you he had been given the ok to land. The weather in Cincinnati."
Pros: "Frontier encourages you to check your bag by offering a lower fee for checking than carrying the bag onto the plane This made getting into and out of the plane so much quicker The seats were comfortable enough and I had my own food and beverages so did not need to purchase any."
Cons: "My reasonable priced ticket went up $104 by the time I paid to check my bag and pick a seat. I would rather gate check my bag and get it when I exit the plane because it took over an hour for it to come to baggage claim."
Pros: "Very courteous and friendly staff."
Cons: "Everything costs extra...seat choice, snacks, drinks. I need to drink a lot of water and dislike that I have to pay for some when I can't bring my own in"
Pros: "Wverything"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "The boarding process (zones) and the legroom."
Cons: "MIddle of aircraft where I sat was freezing cold. Didn't like having to pay additional for seat and for baggage. Just PLEASE include these things in price, rather than "nickle and dimeing" me to death. Website to get boarding pass was confusing."
Pros: "Great price."
Cons: "Seats don't lean back at all.."
Pros: "Not much beyond the price."
Cons: "The crew seemed to be in a collective bad mood that night. The seats were very uncomfortable and did not recline. It was a brand new plane, but, if this is what Frontier is ordering for its future planes, I will go back to choosing other airines."
Pros: "Very Cheap flights, on time, crew was friendly. I was surprised how fast boarding was considering most had carryon bags."
Cons: "Nothing other than the seats were a little tight. Surprises me that there are so many negative reviews, must have not paid attention to details when booking - this is a BUDGET airline folks"
Pros: "None specific"
Cons: "Unremarkable"
Pros: "I liked the price. Super competitive, until you add on what other airlines do as a standard. Clean, modern aircraft. Colors were great inside and they had exceptional lighting."
Cons: "I did not like paying for my carrying on luggage. I did not like paying for a seat. I did not like paying for a snack. I did not read the fine print that these services were going to be for sale and they were not part of my ticket purchase. My fault, but as a flyer going through this, it produced in me a very negative view of Friontier. In fact, the feelings are so strong I will avoid flying with them if I can help it."
Pros: "It was easy boarding, clean and a smooth trip. We landed 1/2hr early only to wait in baggage claim for over an hour!"
Pros: "I liked the serves & the smooth flying. good job thanks from dianna"
Pros: "Check in person at baggage and person scanning tickets while boarding were very nice."
Cons: "Did not eat any food (slept instead) and flight did not have entertainment"
Pros: "Nothing really."
Cons: "Same thing very uncomfortable no food given entertainment etc..."
Cons: "One of our suitcases was damaged and will have to be replaced. It appeared to have fallen off the cart. Zippers broken, suitcase bent and all scratched up. Had to wait at baggage claim for almost an hour."
Cons: "It took over an hour to retrieve checked luggage."
Cons: "They lost my bags"
Pros: "Beautiful."
Pros: "Price!"
Cons: "That you can not even cross your legs, or move around if your average size or taller ."
Cons: "Delayed and uncomfortable. Never want to use this airline again."
Pros: "the airplane was the most comfortable I've been on for quite a while...also the crew was extremely friendly and helpful. don't like that Frontier nickels and dimes the customer to death. Would like to have baggage charges not so complicated."
Cons: "My flight went out 1hr and 20 mins. late and no notification so had a very long wait at the airport and person coming to airport to pick me up sat there also... a notification would have allowed me to call her before she left her her and not waste her time sitting in her car waiting"
Pros: "The crew on board was awesome. But the check in agent's in Cincinnati were absolutely rude and need to be better trained. Yes I know they are not employees of Frontier that they are contracted. But it leaves a bad mark on Frontier. The crew on the flight however made up for their rudeness."
Cons: "It'd be nice if I could specify N/A for items that I didn't have, such as food and entertainment."
Pros: "Nothing."
Cons: "Took forever to get luggage off plane, then, my luggage wasn't there. They told me it didn't make it and they'd deliver. 20 min later, after I already waited an hour and a half since getting off the plane and had left she calls me and says its here and she'd be waiting on curb with my bag. She wasn't and when I got there she looked at me she had never seen me before. They've got complete morons working for them. Also in the luggage office they leave people's bags unattended so someone could easily steal. Wouldn't trust them with my stuff ever again."
