Airport personnel confirmed that it is typical or normal for American because they operate with a small "skeleton" ground crew. Flight arrived just after 11:20pm,, but wasn't able to head out for transportation until after 12:30am. VERY upset and disappointed with service."

The ground staff was even annoyed by this development, and the plane finally appeared about the time we were supposed to be leaving. To their credit, the gate staff tried to keep getting updates and passing them along, but had little luck. Fortunately I did not miss my connection in Houston but I'm not sure the same was true for everybody. When we arrived, we sat for 10 minutes waiting for our gate to open, which the crew interestingly blamed on the delays caused by the rain. Funny, the only delayed flight on the screens in the terminal was odd ours. The rest of my trip was flawless. I'm sorry for Air New Zealand that they have to rely on United to gather passengers for them in the USA."

However front tier did give us all $10 food vouchers and $50 vouchers each for our next flight. Once we landed in Houston we then sat on the tarmac for another hour waiting for the gate open. The plane did have mechanical issues which caused the delay but still the notice given was always last minute"

Also with cheap air-fare, I really don't have to complain about anything! All the details regarding boarding pass, online check-in, baggage, seats, etc is mentioned on their website, so if you don't choose to pay attention before boarding the plane then its not airline's fault. My flight was delayed 3 times. But I was informed well in time through automatic updates I signed up for. Frontier's Google App is very helpful to track the flight status, etc. Staff was very kind and courteous. Airplane was clean. Thank you for serving chilled water. I appreciate it."

Cons: "It may be customary now, but we arrived with all our luggage as carry-on bags. We learned that they now charge more for carry on luggage than they do for checked bags. So we ended up checking two carry-on bags that we could have easily consolidated into one larger bag if we had known ahead of time. 2nd and worst of all - when we were checking in they told us our seats were not yet assigned (even though I picked seats out when I purchased the tickets). They showed a seating chart, but the only seats together required a premium payment of an extra $30 per seat! We complained and they told us to let the computer assign seats for us. That worked and the computer ended up assigning us two premium seats together. By the way - I did see what was "premium" about these seats. They reminded me of spirit airlines. Overall it seems like frontier is now trying to find ways to charge customers for things that were previously included and it is somewhat intentionally deceptive. I appreciated the low cost of the ticket, but I was left with a bad feeling overall. Spirit airlines is an inexpensive no frills airline as well but at least they are upfront and direct. I will fly with them next time if I have to, or go back to United."

I was charged over $100 per way for my family to bring very small carry on items onto the plane. I have NEVER heard of being charged for very small backpack sized carry ons. When I questioned the staff member, she looked at me and literally did not respond. She stared at me like I was speaking another language. I waited over an hour and a half for our checked bags to come to the baggage claim area. Everyone was looking for Frontier staff to help us as our bags didn't seem to be coming. The two staff members we found were HORRIBLE and extremely rude. They stood there leaning against the wall staring at us and telling us they couldn't help us - It isn't their department? The seats are uncomfortable- they do not recline at all. They charge for EVERYTHING on the plane- including drinks (non-alcoholic). Overall, the staff was rude, the charges were outrageous, and the flight was uncomfortable. I have never had such a horrible experience and will NEVER fly Frontier again. ."

Cons: "The kiosks were broken at the Frontier at IAH that made the line a bit longer than it needed to be. Also, there was a last minute gate change that was annoying. I heard another passenger on another flight that said they had experienced a last inure gate change as well."

Spirit ended up costing me $150 more than had I booked with another airline at the beginning because I was left having to purchase a ticket day of on a competitor."

You can post a notice online (where most of us buy our tickets). If passengers exceed certain ht/wt parameters, they must buy 2 seats. You enforce bag size/wt. restrictions. Why not people?Obesity is epidemic in our country. I consider it false advertising when Spirit tells me I am purchasing a seat...I paid full price for one-half to two-thirds of a seat."
