Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "We need food"
Cons: "Flight attendants need to enforce all policies. It makes no sense to enforce a seat being leaned back a 1/2 inch but allow a Face Mask be worn as a Chin Guard through the entire flight instead wearing it properly!"
Pros: "Getting from one location to my destination. Making sure to keep us updated on why we would be late to final destination."
Cons: "No Dr Pepper, WiFi wouldn’t work, no entertainment, snacks were okay, crowded."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "You were late per usual. I wouldn’t have a job if I operated like you. It would be nice if there was some accountability"
Pros: "Internet."
Cons: "We purchased tickets for nicer seats. When our flight got delayed for some reason American Airlines automatically rescheduled us for a flight the next day with a 17 hour layover. When we called American Airlines after 30 minutes on hold we got back on our flight but our seats were gone and no refund"
Pros: "The crew was good in first but ooor in baxk"
Cons: "More room for bags"
Cons: "The plane was very hot when boarding and then very cold while flying. It was uncomfortable."
Pros: "Good flight and crew"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "WiFi didn't work"
Pros: "This was a quick flight - 39 mins I also got an upgrade too"
Pros: "in flight entertainment"
Cons: "on time flight, crew member courtesy"
Pros: "It was on time"
Pros: "Entertainment available excellent"
Cons: "Seating space seems to narrow"

Cons: "Fly in time"
Pros: "Surprisingly enough leg room for me, even though im 6 foot 6in. Staff on plane were very very nice."
Cons: "In lax The women checking your ticket before you go upstairs to security was super rude. Theres one tiny bathroom in the entire AA terminal."
Pros: "i arrived alive"
Cons: "My flight was delayed on the way to Puerto Plata on 9/9 which made me miss an entire day and I was billed for a stay at the resort. I was booked to a crappy room in MIA that I had to get changed to another hotel. THEN my departing flight from Puerto Plata back to the US was delayed 2 plus hours (as was the first flight) due to a flat tire that had to be replaced. I missed my connecting flight and had to be placed on the next flight to DCA which was the last flight. This experience was the worst. I do not have a favorable opinion of American, of which I have flown this airline for years."
Pros: "I appreciated that they were interested in the general welfare of the whole craft in the midst of storms."
Cons: "The long delays, the cancellation near midnight, the long lines to what I thought was going to be some type of reimbursement for all the inconvenience at now having to find lodging for the evening, spend an entire day back at the airport, and transport myself from the NEW airport they made available for me from the original airport I had chosen. Absolutely NO compensation or reimbursement due to "weather." While I understand they can't control the weather, this is literally one of the greatest elements in their company. They should have provisions FOR it. Running out of airlines I could trust and rely on, and thought American would deliver. But No, not even this one. Extremely disappointed and staying away from AA."
Pros: "the gate attendant was very nice as my husband was stuck in security line (I have Pre check) He barely made it, but the guy never made me feel uncomfortable or rushed. He was kind, calm and reassuring."
Cons: "Our flight attendant seemed to have a chip on her shoulder from the moment we stepped on the flight. I had a broken foot and it was difficult for me to fit my boot and personal item under the seat. Rather than assisting me, she barked commands and quickly walked away as I attempted to address the situation. - poor attitude - failed to ask if I wanted a biscuit but simply slapped one down on my tray table (I HAVE CELIAC DISEASE) - American really needs to catch up with the other airlines and offer a GF option to those of us who have immune disorders. - no WiFi"
Cons: "American Airlines had put my luggage on a flight earlier than me and is still NOT FOUND."
Pros: "Comfortable chairs"
Cons: "Pilot's skill level and ability - lots of maneuvering and a very poor landing"
Pros: "Smootm and in early."
Cons: "Not knowing no gratis drinks were served."
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "Almost everything!"
Pros: "The complementary beverage was a welcomed surprise!"
Cons: "Past was dry... It was the first time but changed my experience"
Cons: "Tight connection! The airlines need to Realize that a 2 hour layover is NOT enough when you have to go through immigration, customs, and security before making your next flight!"
Cons: "No online updates or warning about flights for inexperienced flyers"
Cons: "The fact that one could not book either an aisle or a window without paying significant sums is ridiculous - an additional $74 for a window seat and some were considerably more than that."
Cons: "Thanks for the cheap flight. Oh wait, still over $200 and they passed out iceless water. Why can't they give coffee as an option or heaven forbid, anything other than iceless water?"
Cons: "No entertainment in Business/First and no USB plugs or outlets. Only difference between Business and coach is the size of the seats. The rest was the same. I expected more service, food of some sort and entertainment or connectivity. I will probably avoid flying American if I can help it unless I see that they have updated things."
Pros: "the crew was pleasant and efficient The landing was really smooth compared to my trip in the opposite direction."
Cons: "paying extra for a small seat was really frustrating"
Pros: "More options for food like rice chicken or rice beef"
Cons: "Pls have decent meal plans and the seats were very uncomfortable American Airlines need improvement in all areas"
Cons: "Beverage service 10 minutes before landing. The cabin crew waited quite some time before starting service which meant they finished late"
Pros: "it was easy to check in and short layovers"
Cons: "planes were really old and uncomfortable, I could not sleep at all, the seats are ridiculously small and not fit for a grown up. One of the worst flights ever for sure"
Pros: "- Departure and arrival ahead of schedule - Great entertainment system and choices"
Cons: "- Rather uncomfortable seats and minimal leg room for a 5'11'' / 180 lbs passenger - Flight attendants were superficial (continuously overlooked / ignored me on the service cycles), I was seated on the window."
Pros: "Friendly crew Smooth flight"
Cons: "Couldn't select seats"
Cons: "Never made the flight due to flight not getting in to Chicago on time. Still stranded here with my son. Supposed to be sent to Hartford then Dublin later today. Overall a very bad experience with American Airlines. Wouldn't recommend travelling with them again."
Pros: "Pleasant flight for the hour ride. Not bumpy at all."
Pros: "Upgraded to first class. Provided umbrellas for boarding. Changed our daughters' seat assignments so they could sit together. Nice breakfast."
Cons: "Rain during boarding"
Pros: "Long wait for take off. Everything else was great."
Cons: "The in-flight entertainment was out, and the a/c was barely working-not good for a four hour flight. Instead of addressing the issues the flight crew was more interested in chatting with each other. No pre-flight drink service in first class, they rarely even passed through the canin."
Pros: "Person at the ticket desk was nice and helpful"
Cons: "Not enough people to help all of the travail let's"
Cons: "I did not like the head rest, very uncomfortable"
Cons: "The stewardesses were gossiping in the back of the plane and we could all hear their complaints about the new uniform policy. They did not seem very happy to be there and there was no in flight entertainment. A total bummer."
Pros: "I like that the crew was professional and courteous."
Cons: "That I was there and hour before my flight and my seat was given up. I didn't like that people are allowed to retract all the way making my flight uncomfortable."
Pros: "Free entertainment"
Cons: "They had problems fueling the plane. It starting to seem like there's always some kind of problem with these planes at American Airlines"
Cons: "Delay of flight do to routing maintenance has cost me a overnight in Miami. sleep only 4 hrs that day and the lost of one logged. AA employees in MIA the worst ever."
Pros: "I love landing in Long Beacg."
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Barely made my flight because my connection was late and I got to the plane right as they were about to give up my seat I was seated next to an obese gentlemen whose body was hanging into my seat and I had to spend 3 hours completely uncomfortable because the plane was completely full. Worst plane ride ever"
Pros: "Short trip"
Cons: "The long time inside the plane 1h 30 m ."
