She helped me get booked on a flight that would arrive in time and was so comforting! In fact, all employees that evening were so helpful. Even when the engine wouldn't start on connecting flight in Seattle and we had to return to gate, delaying flight quite a while,?Captain kept us well informed of what was going on and was very apologetic and very quickly, Alaska airlines sent me an email with a credit towards another flight because of the inconvenience!! THANK YOU Alaska Airline, Taeao and employees working on the evening of June 20 at HNL!!!!!"

Cons: "I didn't know that in order to watch the entertainment, you need to download an app first. I also didn't know that you could reserve meals beforehand. Happily, that wasn't an issue; the only thing I was interested in eating was still available when they got to me, even tho I was sitting at the very back of the plane. The meal was not delicious."

Pros: "-The tablet entertainment option was great since there was no inseat entertainment. The cost of of the tablet was cheap and allowed you access to everything, which is different from other airline a-la-carte purchasing of different entertainment. -Crew was great, food/beverage service was also great."
Cons: "-At HNL there was poor signage to get from the rental car return to the airline. Once we got into the terminal it really wasn't clear if we should go left or right, We wound up asking an American employee where Alaska was. -After the checked bag agriculture inspection it was not clear that you go to the kiosks there right after the inspection. I think it partially wasn't clear because there were multiple large groups traveling with tons of luggage and you go straight to the kiosks and then back track to hand over your checked bag. The line for checking the bag vs needing help wasn't clear either. Luckily there were Alaska employee's there helping at the kiosks and with the bag checking so it did go smooth but could definitely be better."

Cons: "When the flight attendants came thru with dinner offers I was not offered a dinner. When they came thru with drinks I said yes but I also wanted a dinner but wss not offered one. The attendant was very hostile and said well there are a lot of you and only a few of us. We're gonna miss some people. What do you want I can get it. But it wasn't a friendly offer, it sounded more resentful. This was an almost 6 hour flight. Later when they went thru again to offer snacks they made a big production to ask me loudly if I wanted one. Even opening her eyes very widely and saying are you sure? I could tell it was because I had complained earlier. But I didn't even really complain. I just said I didn't get offered a meal, on an almost 6 hour flight, and I wanted one."

No special diet options. 1 bag of chips with the sandwich and late in the flight a 1/2 oz.( yes .5 oz.) bag of snack mix. A 4 oz. glass of water, juice or soft drinks were offered about every hour."

Cons: "HA has older 767s that have few entertainment options for the long flights, bring your own. Honolulu airport is immense and the distance from the gate to the baggage is very long and there is only one small stretch of moving walkway and no assistance carts. If you have trouble walking a mile, get a wheelchair. Same thing at Phoenix terminal 3. Long walk from gate to baggage without any assistance whatsoever."

Cons: "I purchased this flight through kayak via Expedia, and I selected seats on the Expedia website for all my flight legs. For some reason, my seat selections did not communicate with Hawaiian Airlines. As a result, during boarding, I was assigned a random seat. The flight from HNL-PHX was completely full, and I got stuck with a seat which had no windows in the row right in front of the galley and bathrooms. I suggest that Expedia communicate better with HA on seat assignments."

Providing snacks and dinner vouchers while we waited for a new plane was a nice touch. But too many mechanical and/or electrical issues with this airline."

Then had to suffer through an emergency landing due to hydraulic failure on the flight back to New York. Was not a fun experience watching the fuel being dumped into the ocean for an hour."

We went online to choose our seats for our trip home and the site said see agent on arrival to airport so we got to the airport and no agents just the kiosk which assigned our seating ."

My Japan Air flight from HI to Japan had great wifi, so don't tell me that over ocean flights don't work. I think they ought to treat the flight as an international flight when it comes to beverage and snacks..."

The electric outlets at each of our first class seats were not functional, both the USB ports and the electric plugs did not work so we were not able to charge our phones during the flight. When I mentioned this to the flight attendant her response was that she had not received a report that the electric was not working. No other assistance was offered. There was very little legroom even though these were sold as first class seats. The plane was old and dirty, the armrests were sticky."

This does not seem very considerate of our health during a Pandemic especially with their messaging about social distancing. They also did a very poor job of keeping people patient in the deplaning process. They should have better messaging and a very non threatening way of encouraging passengers to be patient and courteous. Maybe they good offer each passenger a choice some type of goodie like a mint or a chocolate that says "please enjoy this while you wait for others to exit the plane"."

As we were boarding the plane from Austin to Phoenix, we got a notification that our layover had been delayed an additional 5 hours due to construction at SFO. Cons: "I arrived at the airport and had already checked in and had m boarding passes. For some reason they could not find me when I went to check my bag. After 30 minutes they saw that my seat assignment had been changed and that is why my boarding passes that I had printed at home did not match what their computer showed. I booked this reservation in May and had a seat chosen fairly toward the front. I am 73 years old and the closer to the front I can be helps. When I finally got on the plane to my surprise my seat was the very last seat on the plane across from the restroom. People continued to leave the door open after using the restroom so had to get up and continue to close the door or look at the restroom the whole flight. There was never any explanation as to why they did this. As a result, being lst off the plane, I almost missed my connection as I had to go two terminals over for my connection. At my age I cannot run so I arrived as the last people were getting on the plane. I will never fly American Airlines again."

Made me wait until entire plane was disembarked and cleaned, and made me wait some more after. She was super snarky, made rude comments, and almost made my family miss our connection to EWN. I will never, ever, fly AA again. Worst customer service and tons of issues with maintenance, luggage handling, and delays."

Cons: "I called American Airlines as ssoon as I book my trip to set up and make sure my small dog could fly with me. They neglected to inform me their partner, jetstar, does not fly animals. My luggage did not arrive with me. Both of my suitcases were mangled and broken. Items in my suitcases were shattered and crushed even though they were well packed and protected. We got stuck on the terminal in MSP and missed our connecting flight. When we finally arrived the systems were down and could not get new flights or hotels. We were told we could not get hotels and had to argue for an hour. Even though it was a maintenance issue. I arrived a day late and had to take extra leave. The plane from LAX to Tokyo was horrific. I booked a window seat, was stuck in the very middle. There was no way to charge outlets devices. The screen did not work. And my new luggage was also damaged with even more items destroyed."

Was a horrible flight because of my stomach pain. If I only knew American Airlines flight attendant are very rude. I will not book this airline again. Very poor customer service. The flight attendant was white , male, older."

It took many calls, one with over an hour wait, where were told different stories and expectations. I did not receive an actual ticket until the very morning if this flight!! It was very stressful!"

Cons: "Bad enough the long part of my trip ove seas had no wifi but then the 4 hour domestic flight did not have it either. I had planned to put my flight time to good use and catch up on work so i did not go back to a mountain of work but that never happened. Also, I've never been to an airport where you exit the boarding doors in the terminal then head down stairs to the tarmac to board a bus that make a complete lap of the terminal going near every AA plane obviously trying to figure out which one they need to drop us off at. If can get this close to losing people I now understand how luggage gets lost so often."

Cons: "Ear headphone jack would not turn down, you could hear the show from three seats away and the flight attendant was rude when I asked her for some different headphone to see if it would help. She acted like I was stupid and said "well did you turn it down?" Of course I tried that. I was very taken back by how she acted."

Cons: "i had my boarding pass and chose my seat some time ago, in row 4. When I checked in, the AA representative switched my boarding card and I was told that my seat was no longer available. When I got to the gate, I spoke to the gate attendant. There were several people also speaking to them about their seats. I did not have a seat assigned to my boarding pass, so I stood until the entire plane boarded and the gate attendants could sort things out. In the end, I was given a seat at the back of the plane, even though booked my seat some time ago and am a Sapphire member. When I boarded, there was no room for my carry-on luggage. The flight attendant already understood what happened. She immediately took my bag, and found a space at the front of the airplane. This is the second disappointing flight in a row in 2 weeks I have had with AA. I'm not sure if it's just bad luck, or has something to do with the company. I had flown with U.S. Airways for years and never experienced any major issues."

We felt abandoned by American Airlines because we asked three different people for assistance and they didn't seem to want to take on the problem. They were like Pontius Pilate, and "washed their hands" of us!!!"

Then the flight from Washington to Chattanooga was delayed over 2 hours. Which i understand safety comes first but it made for a very long two day trip back from Hawaii."

Pros: "I was happy to finally receive a drink one the flight started. A waterbottle at the seat and not other service would have been nice. Wifi was not working. The seats were small and cramped. My seat did not stay either up or down...it kept moving around and would not stay adjusted. However the crew was fantastic and our two female pilots were amazing. Captain Amy touched down in Phoenix was one of the smoothest I have ever experienced."

Cons: "Except for this one male crew, the Asian women were mean/rude. I always try to fly with ANA or JAL to Hawaii and I thought my flight back was also ANA, but it was UA. Food and crew are ALWAYS better with ANA and JAL I wonder if UA crew have ever flown with ANA or JAL..."

Cons: "Crew was rude, not just to me, but to other patrons. Flight was packed going and the man scanning boarding passes spoke to those of us asking simple questions as if we were stupid and defiant. Was he a prison guard in his previous job? On the way to Newark, I had an aisle seat. One of the stewardesses blazed by me with a cart ramming it into my shoulder without so much as a, "sorry." I'm not a big woman but maybe as I dozed off I leaned over a bit...There is no way she didn't feel her cart hit me. Rudeness, it seems is a part of the culture at United because the flight attendants coming back squeezed past the long line for the bathroom without saying, "excuse me." They did however, say, "I need to get by," and one of them brushed by the gentlemen sitting next to me and bumped his laptop and coffee. Overall it seems that the crew working these particular United flights have forgotten that we pay hard earned money to fly. Some of us are going on vacation, to see loved ones, and some are flying to deal with unpleasant circumstances. The staff may fly several times a day, but most passengers do not. There's a lot of prep and anxiety, that goes into taking a flight and a surly flight crew multiplies that anxiety. No one wants to fly with a crew that hates their job."

Really, because a sandwich is too expensive? - Entertainment needs to be purchased extra. Use your existing Directv subscription? Of course not. - Power socket underneath the seat - good idea. One that actually works? Oh wait."

Pros: "The return flightf we had our be on from S,an Francisco to Atlanta , we had only 20 minutes to make it to the boarding gate. We were tired and didn't have time to use the bathroom nor eat before boarding. This is because my flight was changed. I'm so upset with United."

Another thing that bothered me was the fact that I had to pay $25 for my suitcase! Really United! Am I not allowed one piece of luggage? I don't like carry my bags around with me so now I have to pay to check it! Shouldn't that be the other way around! Charge for carry on luggage, it's such a hassle and also slows down boarding time, cases congestion in the hallway with everyone reaching for their luggage in the overhead bins! I can keep going, but what good is it gonna do. United airlines suck!"

When we boarded the flight, they called another couple up from the back of the plane to take the seats we offered to upgrade to. We flew from Hawaii back to SF for an uncomfortable 5 hour ride. The crew was also especially rude, asking my partner "what do you want?" with disdain. He had to ask twice to be helped. I'm a very frequent flyer...I fly just about every other week for work and I've never experienced this. it made me not want to fly United again."
