So the questions are- why don’t the airport hold a larger inventory of parts, why aren’t there back up planes and why doesn’t the software better cope with these types of situations?"

Plane itself was very modern and surprisingly comfortable, as much as a small space can be. Good amount of entertainment, and the crew were pleasant. And flight itself was smooth with very little turbulence which helps!"

I am quite disillusioned with Delta now and will have to look around to see what other airlines there are now - and my entire family - and what kind of loyalty they give to their loyal customers. You needed to go to delta website and choose what want to watch the you needed to have Gogo Flight entertainment app already on smartphone and then would work. Not easy even for me a vivid user of tablets and smartphones. The seats had miniumal room available between seats it felt like I am on 5’qq so couldn’t imagine anyone taller that comfortable unless get first class. I even upgraded for “comfort” section which gave you a few inches extra. And wdith of chair me being a 36 waist was a little squeezed in. Crew was very good tho I will say that. But I laways fly JetBlue or Virgin America, or Alaskan Air for reason of more comfort and lower prices ticket but this time on flight close to my destination was Delta which I Flew for free, I would much rather buy ticket on the three others I fly if could have."

Cons: "I was shy about 45 min of boarding my flight. I didn't want to do self check out because I wanted to make sure my Itinerary was right so I went to a clerk. She did my boarding pass by verifying who I was and by my Id and printed out. I then go to security they asked for my Id and boarding pass. I gave it to them and she was like Ingrad is not your name doesn't match your ID. I said no it doesn't your going to have to go back up and get my boarding pass redone again. I was Furious and frustrated because I didn't want to miss my flight over a mix up from one of your Clerks and at the time she never asked me if I wanted a window seat or not . This made for a bad experience going to Atlanta but I was grateful that I didn't miss my flight."

Itinerary implies West Jet controls the entire thing. Not the case. Better job economic explaining what to With luggage and that, while itinerant implies 1 airline, they are only partners and should be treated separately."
Cons: "We lost our whole vacation and had to pay for the plans fare twice because My last name was spelled wrong on our tickets and we were unable to use them because my passport didn’t match the name on the ticket. We had to rebook everything pay almost twice as much for the plane fare, our Lodi g cost more and our trip was delayed for two weeks. Vyama is blaming us for spelling our name wrong and claimes that it’s our fault this happened because everything is automated. There saying they don’t touch anything that we enter into the booking but somehow everything they claim we entered is now in all capital letters and the space between our first name and middle name is now gone and all run together. The coustomer service number gets you to someone in India. I have tried to get this addressed four times now at first they tried to place the responsibility on the airlines now us and they have hung up on me twice. Kayak has been worthless, they also just pass the responsibility on to someone else. We will never use them again ant I intend to make sure that this mess is put out in social media to hopefully keep others from having their travel plans ruined by their flawed system."

As an example, if you have a "Zone 2" boarding pass, you think you will be second to board when in reality that means you are second to last to board. After those who need extra time, those with small children, active military, premier, whatever.... all that covers about 2/3 of the passengers. Then of course there's all the stepping over those who already boarded which seems to slow the process overall. It would be better to ask these questions when making your reservation. Then, the zones would be appropriate based on how you made your reservation to begin with."

Cons: "The restrooms in the rear of the plane were remarkably small, even by airline standards. I'm a somewhat larger person and I fit, but I know a lot of people who would literally not be able to fit on the toilet without touching both of the sidewalls or risk getting stuck in there. The boarding process at San Jose Del Cabo was the most ridiculous setup I've ever experienced. There were numerous flights boarding out of the same gates and at least 3 or 4 lines for different destinations forming on a ramp just outside the gates. There were guys with signs trying to herd people into the correct lines and then loading the people onto buses which took you out to the planes. The planes were loading from both the front and rear doors and people were getting tangled up inside because of the haphazard loading process. Very easy for a person to end up on an incorrect plane!!"

I heard a crew member call forward to say "tell them no more rollaboards" so they forced everyone left to check. On departure they slammed shut several very large empty overheads. WTF"
Cons: "the older stuardess on my flight from Cancun to Atlanta was very misinformed- told me my carry on wouldn't fit in the over head bin... it did. Told me I had to check my duty free liquor.. I didn't. Told me I couldn't bring all of my liquor in to the US... I could. I just kept saying ok to her just to shut her up, but she ensued with her comments and wrong info as if I don't travel as often as I do. Perhaps she was attempting to be helpful, but it came off as obnoxious and rude especially since she was wrong on every accord. Humbleness and customer service training would do her very good. All other DELTA staff have been great."

The first leg of the trip, flying from ft Lauderdale to atlanta was ok except for the pilot having to circle around bc he was too close to the airplane in front to land. This made us supposedly late to our connecting flight which by the way was not supposed to leave before 8:10. My husband and I arrived at the gate about 10 minutes before only to be told that the door was locked. Needless to say, we weren't the only ones. When we got up to the desk, the attendant was extremely rude. I was having a conversation with my husband about a dog that had just passed us . She immediately made her way into the conversation asking me what i was saying. I told her I was talking to my husband about the dog and under her breath said : " I'm sure you were." I then told her that i was more than sure about what I was talking about. We get booked on another flight and my seat was the only one without a working monitor. We asked the suitardess to see o If there was anything that could be done They tried to reset it to no avail. Since we didn't say anything else, it was forgotten about. My husband shared his screen with me so that I wasn't totally bored on the flight. Not the way I wanted to start off my birthday but I'm glad that nightmare is over Delta really needs to retrain their employees on customer service bc it leaves a lot to be desired!"

Cons: "I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it."

Had to buy clothes and toiletries at Walmart. The next morning I received I call to say my luggage had arrived. I went to the airport and indeed it had arrived and for some reason it was returned to Atlanta. After endless calls and conversations I got my luggage that evening. It was very inconveniencing. Worst experience of my life. Never again."

Cons: "Everything that could have gone wrong with my flights, went wrong. On my way from LA to Raleigh (through Atlanta), I was affected by the weather conditions at Atlanta. I understand that the weather is beyond Delta's scope of control, but customer service is not. I had to wait in line at LAX for 8 hours to even get information on what had happened, and what solutions were available. The customer service call center was collapsed, and at the airport counters at one point there was ONLY ONE DELTA REPRESENTATIVE serving a line of more than 100 upset customers. This IS Delta's fault, and it is unacceptable. This definitely was under Delta's control, but in order to save a few dollars in overtime for emergency staff Delta was willing to let its customers make terribly long lines, miss their flights, their connections and consequently their commitments. It is disappointing to observe how Delta believes that a few dollars saved on extra staff and emergency measures can offset the irreparable long term damage to its business due to upset customers. My way back from Raleigh to Los Angeles was also a disaster. Without any type of explanation and nothing more than an email announcing the change, the nonstop flight I bought was replaced by a 1-stop flight with connection in Atlanta. This was NOT THE PRODUCT I PURCHASED. There is a reason I paid a premium for a nonstop flight, and Delta did not hesitate in providing me with a less valuable product without any explanation or refund. Delta prioritizes its operational metrics - an obsession to fill and overbook its capacity - over its customers' experience, one again under the foolish belief that short term savings in any way offset the long term damage of disappointed and alienated customers. I will NEVER FLY DELTA AGAIN. I will do whatever I can to transmit my experience to everyone I know. At a time where major airline carriers are in the spotlight due to abusive practices (i.e. the United passenger case), I still find hope in knowing that alternatives such as Southwest still put their customers first, over the ethereal benefits that a few-dollar savings in operational expenses can provide."

I apologise for seeming so harsh as I know you've had so much trouble because of the tornadoes, but this leg of my trip cost me an additional $800.00 plus AUD and I was here in the US to care for my father who recently had a 2nd heart attack and my final days in USA were meant to be a holiday, and all I can say is the stress because these expenses have removed any enjoyment (I know I'm looking at this half empty, not half full). I am in the process of moving back to the US from Korea after two years so everything I had was everything I owned in the world - which included some sentimental things like a stuffed animal from my mother who passed away when I was three years old. The most infuriating part of this however was realizing that there was one other bag in my overhead bin. In fact most of the overhead bins had one to two bags and plenty of room. My repacking and humiliation was unnecessary and it was only for the morbid satisfaction of the lady at boarding demanding it. At one point I heard her talking with her coworkers about “why couldn’t they freaking listen. We announced it three times.” Well I had approached the counter prior to arrival and they told me to get back in line when I tried to ask about my purse and backpack. In additional to the frustration of all of that, I received my checked in luggage with a wheel missing. I had just bought it and now I have to ship a wheel from the vendor in South Korea or buy new luggage. Thank you guys so much for letting me know which airline to never fly with again."

We went to our seats and found out someone else is in our 2year old seat. Apparently they gave the seat to someone else at the last second because up to the point when I printed our boarding passes at the kiosk, our seats were still together (and I paid $41/per seat extra to try to keep us together). The other customer was nice enough to switch with our son so were able to stay together at the last min so it goes to show AA priority and service."

This wasn't the worst American flight , however. I recently had the displeasure of flying on one of the new planes, and that seat was so upright, cramped, and hard, it was like being on Spirit! (And I refuse to get on their planes ever again) my entire body was sore and stiff after flying on the new AA jet."

On my return from Brisbane, American Airlines had cancelled my flight to Atlanta as they said I was a 'no show' heading out. Thankfully I was able to get a seat on stand by. When I got to the check in it was like watching a special forces team measuring and prodding peoples bags to get them in to the little box even when the shapes were the reason they couldn't fit, not the size of the bags. I literally watched someone fit their bag and the attendant take it out and make it misshaped for the box and show how it didn't slide in. I had no issues with my luggage, but that sucked to watch happen to others. The food and drinks came about 10 minutes before the plane landed."

After retrieving our tickets, we went through Security and my goodness, the process at Newark is awful and TSA WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. That's besides the point. Our flight was delayed because the pilot was not there. Our departure was at 0605 and we didn't leave until 0630. Everyone boarded the plane and we were waiting for the pilot. Then the crew members were pretty rude and not friendly. I know it's an early bird flight but jeez, they can be a little nicer. One stewardess had high heel boots and literally would stomp up and down the aisle. Then she kept saying my purse was not under my seat which it clearly was. I don't know where else she'd like me to put it, maybe in the passengers seat in front of me. I would probably not fly United unless I have no other choice."

We reached the gate at 12:36 (midnight) and it’s now 1:33 am. Are we serious here? NEVER WILL I EVER FLY SPIRIT NOR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Kayak, I wish there was a way to block results from certain airlines.... in this Case SPIRIT."
Cons: "There was nothing to like about this trip because the website would not send me a boarding pass although I checked in online twice the day before, so I never had the opportunity to even get in the gate. I asked for a boarding pass through an email and it didn't come through, twice. I did not think much of it because I have had problems receiving emails from Spirit in the past and I have always been able to log into my account and access the boarding pass on the website. The morning of the flight, the website locked me out and wouldn't allow me to log in. I actually had to leave the security line to try to sort the issue out. The kiosk at the airport told me I was at the wrong airport (I was not). I went to the front desk and the agent was SUPREMELY unhelpful and unconcerned, and marked me as a no show at 7:05 for a flight leaving at 7:25. Even though I was standing right in front of her. Even though I had left the security line to deal with the issue. I had to get to my destination that day, which happens to be the reason I bought a ticket in the first place, so I had to spend an additional $500 on a Southwest ticket because the agent at the front desk of Spirit said I had no other options with Spirit that day. I called customer service and despite escalating the issue to a manager, I was essentially told "sorry for your luck" and sent on my way. The manager even asked, at the end of the call after telling me a refund would not be possible, if I wanted to purchase an airline ticket while I was on the phone. I have bought a fair number of Spirit tickets in the past. I unfortunately already have a ticket lined up with Spirit Airlines in November but I will never be purchasing another ticket from this airline again. It was an absurd scenario - I paid for a ticket and was not able to redeem the ticket I paid for - and I should not be have to pay the price for Spirit Airlines having poor IT."

Cons: "I flew to Atlanta to have a special MRI/MRV with a 3-Tesla machine because I suffer from Trigeminal Neuralgia aka Suicide Disease. It's called that bc it's supposedly the worst pain known to mankind and there is presently no cure. I've had it for 12 years, every second of every day. We have not been able to find the source of the pain and we're hoping that this higher resolution machine will give us some answers. Anyway, bc of the medicine I take, I have extremely dry mouth. I asked for a small cup of water. The flight attendant told me that she couldn't give me water without charging me $5! But she could give me a cup of ice. How does that make sense?? Ice and water are essentially the same thing. So it just seems like Spirit Airlines came up with some arbitrary rule or something that prevents them from showing compassion and caring more about the profits and bottom line."

We decided to check one bag instead at a cost of $40 per leg but then Spirit considers over 40 Lbs overweight instead of 50 like other airlines so another $30 for overweight per leg for an extra $140 for the trip. Then soft drinks are $3 everything costs more. I will say the flight crew did a great job when there was a heart attack on our flight and they attended to him with great care. Then our flight back was cancelled due to the Hurricane but no other airline had to cancel that far out from the hurricane actually hitting. It seems Spirit couldn't get flights to Chicago with nothing to do with Atlanta. In fact we ended up driving all the way back to Atlanta only to see Delta and other airlines landing at the airport 11 hours later. Only Spirit wouldn't fly in more than a day before it effected the area. They did at least refund most of my money. I'll just never fly them again."

They canceled my flight, notifying me about 8 hours prior to the flight, and automatically booked me for a new one for the next day. However, when I arrived for that flight, they cancelled after I was already checked in. The lack of prior notification -- and the fact that it was now two days after the tropical storm -- made me think that this was poorly handled. At that point, I bought a ticket on another airline. Spirit emailed me two $50 vouchers with an apology, which I appreciate, but I plan to contact them for a refund."

I am ok paying extra for preferred seating, food, even water but my carry on? what choice do you have, travel without luggage ? this fee should be included in your comparison. makes me wonder about your site."

It's actually cheaper to have the airline handle your luggage than for you to carry it. The fact luggage fees seem to randomly change. I was charged 45$ for my bag on the outbound flight but for some reason I was charged 57 for the same bag for the return flight. Had I been made fully aware of all these charges I would have been able to save money while flying on a real airline."

There were few flights for the following evening, which sold out quickly; then rebooking were for the day after that. They did not offer to cover any hotel arrangements. The staff handled it pretty well, but it made my wait to get a refund even longer. I had to find a rental car to drive overnight from Orlando to Atlanta. I finally got home at 10:30 am."

Spirit gets you from point A to point B, safely but there's nothing enjoyable about it. Also, on the flight back we waited on the runway almost 45 minutes for an open terminal. We were about 30 minutes early but that wouldn't explain the terminal opening up 15 mins after our expected arrival time. However, I don't know if this was Spirit's fault or the airport's."
Cons: "Spirit Airlines was a mess, we got told the wrong information to stand in a line that was too long, and we were not going to get through even though we were an hour before our flight. I went back to the lady, and once they called our flight at the 50 min mark and said that we need our bags checked now. The line agent again told me to go and wait in the line, only to wait and be told we missed our window which was what I was trying to tell the lady earlier. To add fuel to the fire, it seemed three of the people were arguing and then switched to Spanish when it got heated. Lucky, we were able to go out on Delta an hour later without issue and went well. I'll never fly Spirit again for it was a horrible experience and that's from someone who flies's various airlines and 160,000 miles a year! After many years of flying this is my first complaint. However, I would warn others to spend the extra few dollars to go with another airline when traveling."
Cons: "First of all the costumer service is really poor, I was told I have to pay $35 for my bag and I was charged $60 when I was doing the check in, of course I asked why and the girl couldn't answer why she just said is the airline policy, second the seats selection does not exists in this airline I was given the middle seat in all flights with really big people in the first flight, the boarding was a mess, all snacks, drinks and water is pay pay and pay I mean is 2017 maybe they should look at delta's costumer service and learn, also there was a delay and the captain would not update on anything not even turbulence. Overall really poor service."
Cons: "We were over 1 hour late getting to Orlando as there was a passenger who was on the plane in stand by . Spirit overbooked the flight and they down 45 minutes trying to resolve the issue. I was suppose to get to Orlando at 10:30 . I got to Orlando at 12;30 . I had to be up and ready at 6:00 . It took me 45 minutes to get a ride. This past Thursday I was suppose to fly spirit to New Orleans . The security people search me for around 40 minutes . The plane was still at the tarmac however the spirt person had closed the ramp and would not let me on the plane . The plane set there for additional 25 minutes . I drove to New Orleans for 7 hours for a meeting. I will never , ever fly spirit again ."
Cons: "Apparently the spirit kiosk went down this caused huge lines and stranded travelers. When people ask the customer reps what they could do all they said was that the flights were non refundable and we had to wait in line to find out our options. This pissed off a lot of people one lady punched someone and was arrested. The crowed was justifiably getting very hostel. I have never seen anything like this ever, please do not fly this airline it's not worth the savings which aren't that much when you consider you h e to pay 55 dollars for a carry on."
Cons: "From the very beginning of my trip, the customer service of this airline was horrible. I showed up almost three hours ahead of my flight to check in and yet found myself RUNNING to catch my flight. They were completely unorganized at checkin and had people waiting to be helped for close to 45 minutes. Whenever I or another customer would ask a question we were told to just stand here or stand there, move over to this line, or "well you should be standing up there." The service was just very poor and caused a lot of unnecessary stress to me and others."

Cons: "The simple fact is that, besides the $55 carry on fee, there is a much greater cost to such cheap flights. That comes in the overall experience. I arrived early to the airport, as recommended, to find no one working at the Spirit desk. They told one man to come back later. Also, the airline is often pushed into a tiny terminal with far too many people. It felt congested in the terminal and plane. The crew was quite kind; I am surprised they haven't left the airline. All to say: there is a very real cost to such cheap flights; do not underestimate it."
Cons: "We were the last ones to board the plane and the boarding crew had a bad attitude. We had each had a carry on, a backpack and a roll on which was small enough to fit under the seat. They made us pay $100 to board with the roll on. We saw plenty of other passengers go through with roll on's that weren't paid for nor did they stop them to pay. We flew from atl to Detroit and did not have this problem and have never had this problem when flying with Spirit before. We felt very unappreciated and there was no kind of concern for us. The rest of the flight was ruined by paying for an expense we shouldn't have had to pay."

Cons: "We got overcharged for a carry on, after our tickets clearly said we were ok to bring our own bags up to a certain size and weight (we were supposed to be allowed one personal item for free). Ended up paying an extra $130 last second so that we could board the plane. Tried the same suitcase on the way back and it fit the parameters of a personal item- so as our ticket said- it should've been FREE there and back. Whatever, we had the money but I don't like feeling like I am being cheated. The flight was EXTREMELY cramped, and I am a 5'3" female of average weight..so if you're tall or even slightly overweight I would definitely pass. Refreshments on the plane are marked up & definitely not complimentary- of course. It doesn't make it any less of a bummer though. We hit the WORST turbulence I have ever experienced before and didn't hear a word from any of the cabin crew. Most air lines will at least come over the intercom to calm people's worries and explain that we are flying over some bad weather but are perfectly safe. Instead, there was silence. Multliple people were hyperventilating and one girl was even crying she was so upset. The flight attendants just kind of sat there looking stoic and I am assuming the pilots didn't give af either because we never heard a word."

Pros: "I paid twice as much to check bags as I do on other airlines. It costed me a total of $94 to check one bag to and from. Also the customer service was poor. It took forever to claim my luggage because the flight attendants told me an incorrect carousel number. I was on a wild goose in the airport and because of this I obviously don't feel it was worth the extra money checking bags. Also I didn't like that I had to become an online member only to save ten bucks on my returning checked luggage. Don't waste your money!"
Pros: "This flight was canceled because the AC didn't work. I rescheduled for the next day (after being on hold for at least 20 min), but was almost charged a rescheduling fee of more than $100. I am disappointed to be away from home still, but am more concerned with how disorganized they were during this process. It took them hours to decide to cancel the flight, and once they did still more time to clarify where people should go and what the next steps should be. People were left in a line of at least 100 people, but only attended to 2 at a time. No one was directed to call Spirit, even though it would obviously be the most efficient way to get the line moving. Yes, machinery goes wrong, but this should not get in the way of customer service."
Pros: "Seat design was ok. I had leg room."
Cons: "The staff is overall rude. I sensed they took pleasure in being unhelpful when my bag was missing. The flight was also delayed for 2.5 hours, but they didn't notify anyone until 15 minutes before the flight was due to take off. One attendant stated that the flight hadn't yet left Florida and Florida is 2 hours away from Atlanta at the least, so I think Spirit could have notified passengers of a delay 2 hours earlier. Every little thing is an upcharge that people aren't prepared for. I get the sense they're preying on the poor. Spirit really sucks. I will never take them again. They will be out of business soon."
Pros: "I liked the price of the flight... That lasted until I realized that I would have to purchase "upgrades" such as carry-on (and opted instead for checking a bag since that oddly was cheaper)"
Cons: "Our flight was delayed over two hours due to weather for our incoming flight. Understandable, however, they gate agents never gave an explanation (also, all screens other than the one at the gate did not say our new departure time, only that it had a "new time"). When we were in the air and beginning out descent, we suddenly felt weightless and then very heavy in our seats. I looked to the left, out the window, and another airplane could be seen at our same altitude beyond our wing. For an idea of how close the other plane was, hold your thumb and forefinger two inches apart at arm's length. That's how big the other plane was from my vantage point. My mother in the front of the plane got motion sick from the maneuver (if it hadn't woken me from sleep, I probably would have been too). From my seat a few rows behind the wing, I could see the air brake panels come up on the wing. In addition, customer service has been a pain to deal with. Would not fly their airline again - would rather pay more and go elsewhere."
Pros: "Smoothest landings I have ever experienced."
Cons: "Their website is cumbersome-- continuously tries to sell you their $9 club and credit card with annoying Pop ups. **Their website does not work well with Internet Explorer. Use Google Chrome. They are changing their allowable Carry-on next year! So you will have to oay for that bag next year--UGHHH! I met a girl at an Apple Store and she has been building websites for 10 years and she said she had a difficult time understanding Spirits's website. I had to make entjrely too many calls for clarification!"

Cons: "Delayed five hours for mechanical problems without any explanation and lies when they did explain. Finally boarded is on another plane where we sat for thirty minutes before they cancelled and sent us off the plane. Rebooking took hours at midnight in an empty airport and the staff was incompetent and unprepared. They used personal accounts to rebook. They also claimed hotel vouchers were coming but in reality some woman was simply calling hotels from her personal phone to see if they could accommodate all of us and never ended up getting anything forcing us to find out own and hope for later reimbursement. Experience best summed up by the counter agent rebooking me who said "good thing you got here first, those people in the back of the line are f@$&ed." I wish I could give negative stars."
Pros: "The seating and the Captain of the plane"
Cons: "I ended up spending another $600 to get home from Vegas with another airline July 18th 2016. The manager at the gate in Vegas his name was "Omaha" did absolutely nothing to help me get home what made the experience even worse the next flight was a connecting flight that was sold out so they tried to fly me to Detroit where I would have been stuck til the next day and they didn't care about me having to work the next day. I also payed the extra $52 baggage fee with Spirit leaving Vegas but that needs to be refunded as well as my flight that was previously paid for that I take. Overall because of the unhelpful employees I had to spend an extra $600 to fly with another airline to make it home that day and I also pay $52 baggage fee with Spirit that I didn't even use that needs to be refunded."
Pros: "I liked that I never flew with this airline."
Cons: "My flight that was supposed to be only two hours from Baltimore to Atlanta never happened. Upon arrival to check my bag, a mere twenty minutes after receiving an "on time" email from the airline, they canceled the flight. Not delayed, straight up canceled it. The next flight offered to me would be two days later arriving late Saturday night and with a layover. Their customer service was terrible, no one cared that they were putting so many people out from families to single travelers. It was nuts. I eventually got a refund and flew out the next day on a different airline, vowing to never book with Spirit again."
Pros: "The crew and the airport staff was amazing!"
Cons: "The horrible baggage add process. It took me a total of 6 hours to add a bag to reservation. 3 calls to customer service and hours on their broken site trying to add baggage. I finally escalated to a supervisor who said (after speaking with other representives who told me something was wrong with my browser) that I couldn't add bags to a reservation that had already been checked into. She unchecked me and I was able to add the baggage for a very large fee. Kayak- I do all my business with you but if you continue to do business with Spirit and not Southwest, I will use other sources."
Pros: "Everything was great! Stuff was really sweet and helpful."
Pros: "I liked that we had a female pilot on this particular flight."
Cons: "I had to pay to get a seat on the plane after I had bought the ticket. Seat prices ranged from $4-$20+, in addition to the plane ticket. There is not a carry on bag included in any of this so you have to pay an additional $45-$55 for a carry on and even more if you want to check a bag. There is no in flight entertainment (I like to read so this I didn't mind too much) or complimentary beverage service. Also, the seats don't recline at all. It ends up being a very uncomfortable flight for the same price you would pay for a better airline that builds that into the price instead of surprising you with fees after the fact. Will likely never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather. However, the Spirit e-mails were inaccurate and I almost missed boarding because I believed the e-mails and the airport board. When I, by chance checked the board, I found out that the incoming plane in question had landed and, therefore, went to the gate and learned that Spirit had "secretly" moved things up and would soon close the door. Had I believed the e-mail from Spirit, I would have been left -- and they would have blamed it on me -- because I relied on Spirit's e-mails."

Cons: "The plane is small and cramped. The attendants weren't very friendly. They didn't provide a welcoming atmosphere. I chose poorly looking for a quick and cheap flight. The a la cartel approach to airfare just isn't for me."

Cons: "Crew- Josh, a blond, & brunette. The brunette arguing with passengers. Not explaining the Spirit policy that "Everything costs including water!" Getting an attitude and stating " don't be looking at me like that after the price was stated." Then during the landing process while gathered in the back galley... Spoke about ... Hoping they don't miss there train once arriving at the airport, these people move slow, Josh - We do have 6 wheelchairs but we will see if they can miraculously walk once we arrive. The brunnette, 19f (the water passenger) better hope I don't have the marshals waiting for her, let her look at me one more time!" I was sitting in row 24... Yes I could hear it all.... Completely UNPROFESSIONAL...!"
Cons: "Service is horrible experience bad turbulence both ways I have never flew such rough ride not even on a small plane I had to leave my luggage in Vegas because I lost my debit card and I was told that I had to pay for my bad coming back when I simply called and asked that 800 number did I have to pay both ways or what's the time I paid for both ways and a Gentleman answer me yes once you paid on that you do not have to pay again they did not make no reception so I lost a lot of good clothes expensive shoes medicine because I have Lupus as well as makeup jewelry because I was told wrong information and being so I lost my debit card it was nothing I can do about it cuz I had no one to call to pay over the phone you don't get no time for me for you water nothing to drink and the price I pay for round-trip I have paid for that on American Airlines Delta Airlines Southwest and they're not still have to pay for luggage going both ways and did not have to pay to get a confirmation drink and be thirsty the whole ride home Spirit prices are not that cheap for them to be charging for every little thing including water that is pathetic I wouldn't fly with them again if my life depended on it I'll die first"
Cons: "We had got stuck in traffic on the way to O'hare yet still arrived MORE than 45 minutes before our flight, but the Spirit airlines crew did not even give us the opportunity to ATTEMPT to check in to get our boarding passes. We missed our flight and are now out all of the money we had spent to go enjoy our first wedding anniversary together. This is unacceptable... While I understand that traffic issues fall outside of the airline's responsibility - SHOWING EMPATHY toward our situation could have made things easier, but they didn't - just very cold, non-customer service friendly, garbage. Perhaps if the Spirit airlines team was better at checking people in at the terminal, instead of having a 'who cares' mentality and allowing a 35 person line to be AT A STAND STILL, perhaps we could have made the plane, and I currently could have been writing an amazing review in Florida right now, but I'm not. I am in Indiana, trying to fight with the airline, the travel insurance agency, and others trying to re-coop my losses. this was an overall terrible experience, and I feel like a fool even attempting to try doing this. Cons: "From the start...I walked up to the counter (first time flying Spirit) and the girl working the counter was on her cell on Facebook or texting, she immediately had an attitude. I said, how's your day, she wouldn't even look at me, she said 'fine' and wouldn't ask me about mine...she said 'give me your license...put your bag on the scale'...the she said something and I couldn't understand her and when I said, Jm sorry what did you say, she says slowly and really loudly in a condescending manner...after all this I say...I'm sorry, is there something wrong...and she said 'the moment you walked in here you disrespected me so I'm gonna disrespect you back' - that was the beginning first impression of your airline...I've never written a comment to an airline...this I can't stop thinking about. I was treated, the moment we walked in there, like we treated people terribly and I must confess I can't stop thinking about it and it's not the way we are. The immediate blame placed on us was unfounded and unfare...this is not a bad day for someone...this is an attitude and one that is Cleary approved of by the company. The sad part is, when we share our experience, anyone we talked with had the exact same one."
Cons: "My 16yr old was flying alone while I was away on military duty. The transportation service I arranged for him didn't get him to the airport until an hour before his flight. The ticketing agent held my son up at the counter to make him pay for his bags. When he got to the gate they had just closed the doors. Because he missed the flight his return flight was canceled without my notification. When I called the airline they offered me nothing other than "there's nothing we can do for you". That's poor customer service and I will never fly this airline again. I ended up having to purchase another round trip ticket for my son with a different airline."
Pros: "What did I like? Getting of your airline and being done with Spirit for forever. I won't ever use our recommend Spirit to ANYONE. Not even my worst enemy."
Cons: "I did not like having to pay for a carry on bag, a drink/snack that is normally complimentary on any other airline. I did not like the upset and annoyed attitude of your staff. I did not like the very uncomfortable seats. I did not like the woman next to me being told that she would just have to be cold because Spirit did not carry blankets even for a charge. I did not like being treated life just another annoying customer won you staff could not be more annoyed with out happier to see leave. SPIRIT AIRLINE = 5#1T AIRLINE"
Pros: "my ticket was cheap and once it was canceled my ticket price was refunded without hassle."
Cons: "My trip was canceled and I never received any notification that it had been, so I took a bus to the train station, the train into Boston (an hour away), the Silver Line bus from the train station to the airport, and only THEN learned that my flight had been canceled. Checked my email and never received any notification by email or phone that my trip had been canceled so I essentially had to spend several hours making a trip into Boston during a snowstorm in order to find out that I couldn't go anywhere. They transferred me to a flight on a different airline but I had to pay another $580 for that privilege. Very unsatisfactory. At the very least I should have received an email notification of trip cancellation."
