Cons: Stay clear of Diane who transferred from Columbus, OH and now works in the San Diego Airport. She targets anyone over 250 pounds and classifies them as oversized and will go through hell to charge the customer for an additional seat. Even when the plane is at half capacity.

Cons: First class seat broken wouldn’t recline. No food in first class? Cracker box not food.

Cons: if you touch a credit card with your gloves, you can’t then touch people’s FOOD!!! also, 6 hour flight; someone should tidy the bathroom; esp in the days of COVID!

Cons: We didn’t know that Alaska Airlines doesn’t have blankets for its passengers. We were not prepared, because this was our first time flying with Alaska Airlines. We were so cold during our flight from Honolulu to Washington DC.

Pros: I'm used to being spoiled by Hawaiian Airlines. By comparison to Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian is a lot warmer with customer service, they are more efficient, they give you a free meal for trans-pacific flights, and they give you a screen or full entertainment system (depending on what kind of airplane you get). Alaska Airlines, by contrast, is a lot more bare-bones. I hardly had any contact with the flight attendants (when I did, they were nice enough I suppose), there was no food on the flight unless you paid a good penny for it, the seats were pretty average, and there was nothing really to watch (not even a common screen for movies, and this was a trans-pacific flight). You had to order their entertainment iPads. So I pretty much slept. That said, both Alaska and Hawaiian have good prices. Alaska had better options for departure and arrival times.

Cons: They pack you in like sardines and we as customers are supposed to like this. The seating sucks, the leg room sucks. My Hawaiian flight was great, great customer service, seating and leg room was great. If I could have and should have flown Hawaiian instead of Alaska. I like Alaska Airlines but truely the plane I was on was old, crowded and hated the flight. Alaska could step up to the plate and provide a better experience. If I gauged my experience on Alaska through today's flight I would never fly them again. Really Alaska I know you can do better.

Pros: The crew was very kind and the in flight entertainment was perfect. I didn't have headphones so I was ready to purchase some, but Alaska gives them out for FREE. The seats were also one of the most comfortable (for coach standards) I've been in.
Cons: Not a huge deal but I'm one of those people who are alwayscold and got cold on the flight. Unfortunately they don't have blankets but I had a hoodie that flight attend got down for me that worked just fine. Also, no complimentary food, so just make sure to stock up before boarding.

Pros: Going through TSA was horrible!! Honolulu airport definitely needs more help to get people through the lines. We are both in our 70's and had to wait way to long of time to get through security!!!
Cons: The flight was good but when we landed at Sea-Tac airport, we had to wait 1 hour and 50 minutes to get to our gate!!! It was 2 hours before we got off the plane. We missed our Sea-Tac shuttle to take us to Oak Harbor and had to reschedule. We just made the next one and it cost us to reschedule. Thank goodness they had room for us on the next shuttle!!! Not very happy!!! It was no fault of the Alaska pilots or crew but the management of the airlines!!

Pros: I'm glad they successfully fixed the mechanical issue before we got into the air.
Cons: I do wish they would have checked the plane for the mechanical issue previous to boarding. The plane pulled away from the gate only to return to have its thrust reverser fixed when an error message had shown up. It would have been nice for that to have been handled before.

Pros: I liked the fact that I could charge my mobile device in flight. I also liked the fact that there were allergy-sensitive menu choices. Menu prices were OK, about the same that I could buy from a restaurant in Honolulu.
Cons: I didn't know that in order to watch the entertainment, you need to download an app first. I also didn't know that you could reserve meals beforehand. Happily, that wasn't an issue; the only thing I was interested in eating was still available when they got to me, even tho I was sitting at the very back of the plane. The meal was not delicious.

Pros: -The tablet entertainment option was great since there was no inseat entertainment. The cost of of the tablet was cheap and allowed you access to everything, which is different from other airline a-la-carte purchasing of different entertainment. -Crew was great, food/beverage service was also great.
Cons: -At HNL there was poor signage to get from the rental car return to the airline. Once we got into the terminal it really wasn't clear if we should go left or right, We wound up asking an American employee where Alaska was. -After the checked bag agriculture inspection it was not clear that you go to the kiosks there right after the inspection. I think it partially wasn't clear because there were multiple large groups traveling with tons of luggage and you go straight to the kiosks and then back track to hand over your checked bag. The line for checking the bag vs needing help wasn't clear either. Luckily there were Alaska employee's there helping at the kiosks and with the bag checking so it did go smooth but could definitely be better.

Cons: The plane was late over hour and half. I have a tight schedule I am a mom, grandma and a head deaconess plus I see friends and the ill in the hospital. When I am late my schedule runs amuck. That is my time I cannot get back.!!!!

Pros: I like the options they provide for food and love the charging stations on the seats.
Cons: I found the aisle seats to be more uncomfortable than the inner seats. There was less room under the seat for baggage and feet and I got my elbow banged pretty bad by a cart (I had fallen asleep). I also think it is lame to be charged for basically everything but a drink and a cracker on a 5+ hour flight. We get nickle and dimed for everything. $10 for each food item, $10 for a movie screen (what happened to the good old days with free in flight movies?). We have to pay to check luggage ($25 bucks). We normally avoid flying if humanly possible because it is in general too much stress and too expensive but we prefer Southwest airlines if they will go to our destination. Bags are included with their tickets!

Pros: What did I like about my flight?...Not much! Was not allowed to pick seat assignment during reservations.Called two days before returning for seat assignment...Told must do at airport day of. Arrived at airport 6 hours early day of and was assigned 31F (only32rows) tried to change as I really wanted near front, isle seat... was turned down but guy and wife in line behind me changed thier's from back to row 6.... I endured 31F surrounded by sick coughing, sniffing, snotty nosed, sneezing people and crying children for next 6 hours...I've been back almost a week and just now feeling well enough to venture out...I will never travel Alaska airlines if they won't give me an acceptable seat assignment... Hawaiian Airlines trip there was wonderful!

I asked her what kind of juice she had and she grabbed the card from the seat in front of me and without saying a word stuck it in my face. Very impatient. she seem to be in a hurry so I was irritated and asked her to just give me a water. When I asked for water, she replied by saying "After all of that, that's all you want? ". Very unpleasant experience.

Pros: I was able to sneak onto this flight thanks to the crew. I was booked for a later flight that day and got to the airport early enough to jump on a much earlier one. Those snack packs you sell are just amazing. I wish I had one right now!
Cons: I was stuck next to someone who stank already without having a bad problem with passing gas later in the flight, but that's not the airline's fault. Still, made the ride a bit rough for me. After a while I became less discreet about covering my nose.

Cons: Delayed on boarding and than delayed on landing...if you have an Apple iPad or phone you would've to download an app on the ground so before take off in order to watch movies while flying so basically I wasn't able to view any of the entertainment inflight because I didn't have the gogo app on my phone/ipad and my flight was at least 5 to 6 hr HI to San Diego...plus internet was unavailable throughout entire flight...woke up and first thing I saw was a flight attendant picking of her food from her teeth using her fingers not just for a few seconds but minutes and it didn't even phase her loll smh

I appreciate that because sometimes I feel like crew won't say what's really going on to a passenger for what ever reason. It's just a psychology I guess. Not the case here. The woman who waited on me was sympathetic to my diet and had empathy for me. She also gave me a little extra of something they had to ration when first doing diner service. I thought that was sweet. Happy about the blanket provided and pillow
Cons: Why on earth would you only offer one choice for a meal??? I don't eat chicken. I feel bad for all the vegetarians and vegans on that flight. Hawaii is a healthy place and should be represented in the meal on the plane. The food was bland and for someone to who doesn't eat a lot of meat it was very disappointing. Furthermore, the fact that there was NO movie on the way there and the in flight entertainment wouldn't work on my computer was really disappointing. Then on the way back I had to pay to watch!? I'm fuming about this. I HATE that airlines are doing this. It is greedy and gross.

Cons: We were told a baggage belt had broke once we were all boarded in Honolulu. We sat on the plane for an hour in order for the crew to manually load luggage. Once we landed in San Diego around 11pm, the pilot informed us that the entire plane’s luggage indeed had NOT been loaded in that hour. Customer service informed us that shipment of our luggagewas not available until 2 days later or we could return back to the San Diego airport at Midnight the next day. The amount of costs my family have to incur due to this inconvenience between clothes, hygiene items and medicine is immense. Such a disappointment!

Cons: Same information as the above, Tried to change flight, and rebook, but could not get anyone to answer the phone. So had to book with another airline, so we can get home. So we paid twice to return home a day late. We would really like a credit or reimbursement for our return flight, since a natural disaster (road closed to airport) and no way to contact the airlines were the cause of our no show, which was this flight!

Cons: The 6 hour flight was a trial due to the uncomfortable seats. They are hard, flat and slippery. Next time I might consider dragging along a non-skid pad to sit on.

Pros: I flew first class on this trip so it was an awesome experience, especially with their seats that allow you to lay down.

Cons: Every time i try to use the hawaiiain air app it may work at home then when I switch networks on my iphone i get the blue page in the app saying "The page cannot be displayed". The few times i've flown with hawaiian (3 this year) each time i try to use the app at the airport it fails, so i have to print out my boarding pass. The ios hawaiian app is not even an app, it's like a slimmed down browser just displaying a web page formatted for a smartphone screen size. What a poor excuse of an app. Do you have an application department devoted to maintaining this app? If so they are horrible. Go look at the ios reviews of the app, i'm not the only one. I can't wait for more competition to come to hawaii against your flights. You folks won't do a thing until some alternative airlines come down.

Cons: I paid extra for a better seat, I don't have the slightest idea what my money went to. The my car seat and stroller the were checked were both visibly damaged and had pieces missing. Now I have to purchase a new car seat because my sons is no longer safe for him to ride in.

Pros: Hawaiian Airlines seems to be able to give comfortable seats with adequate leg room; and decent food (included in the price of the ticket) for the same price as everyone else. Why can't the other airlines do the same? The crew was stellar, as always. I can't say enough about Hawaiian. They are my airline of choice. I will always fly them if I possibly can.

Pros: The crew does a fine job, and the airplane is comparably clean and comfortable. I fly a fair amount however and I am always disappointed to learn what is NOT included in my fare. The direct connection between where I was an where I wanted to be made the difference in this case.
Cons: I had a very hard time locating the correct ticketing counter. In fact, due to a lack of signs (Honolulu airport) I was in line for Australia before a person came and asked. It was poorly organized. I was disappointed to pay for my only bag (which was carry-on size and only needed to be checked due to a liquid I was bringing home). I was disappointed to learn that the only in-flight entertainment I had available without paying was short documentary films about Hawaiian Airlines or their staff's travels. On a five hour flight it is particularly frustrating to have so little available. My Delta flight by contrast offered multiple movie titles. In fact, I could have gotten another flight for less $ with more entertainment (but going to a different city).

Pros: Wonderful crew and they actually feed you and give you a complimentary glass of wine. It's nice to see airlines coming back to taking care of their passengers. The captain came on the speaker to let the passenger with a dog know he personally checked on their dog and reassure them all was well.

Cons: The movies are free on the window sides of coach but not in the middle yet both have the Same plane ticket fare. It seems unfair and unnecessary for an almost 6 hour flight.

Pros: Some staff were pretty rude and it was on both flights, which was surprising.

Cons: Stood in line for 2 hours at Honolulu Airport to drop off bags. We had to be pulled out of the line as our flight was boarding and had to run to the gate. There was no time to eat or anything else. The flight attendants are not helpful nor do they smile much. I asked for something minor on two of the Hawaiian Airlines flight legs on my trip and was told they would come to my seat to see me. (One was for an extra blanket as I had cold air blowing on me and the other was to take my rubbish) They never did. I have never encountered this with any Airline before.

Cons: Would prefer to have a United States carrier fly US planes (Boeing) not Airbus. One very positive step all airlines should take is to prevent the reclining of seat backs in coach. The space between rows is already very tight and becomes really uncomfortable when the seat in front of you is reclined.

Pros: It could have been the airport (Honolulu) or HA, but either way it was sheer chaos transferring from the inbound Auckland flight to the flight to Portland. We had to sit on the plane until customs was "ready for another group" and then there were at least 5 check points! We even had to go through security again and give up our newly purchased water bottles. We had to pick up our luggage and transport it to another drop point and no one there had a clue how the luggage was being organized - no surprise then that we arrived in Portland with 4/6 pieces of luggage. We were told it would be delivered to us - 2 days later still waiting. NOT impressed!

Cons: Movie selection seemed kind of thin. My 'interactive' touch-screen video monitor was very user-unfriendly, requiring me to push quite hard and numerous times in order to make any selection. Finally got there but only after much repeated effort. Left a note on the monitor advising crew and/or maintenance of this malady, hoping they would provide a fix prior to further use. (Seat 20 G, Flight HA 26, on Sat. Sept. 24th)

Pros: I don't travel too often so when I took Hawaiian Airlines, I was pleasantly surprised that they serve a complimentary meal while on board. During my flight, they served chicken with white rice and mixed vegetables, a cookie for dessert and water. Oh, and a complimentary red or white wine to go with your dinner. Not too shabby! Great service by the flight attendants as well.
Cons: Even though I don't travel often, I feel like I've been on enough planes to know that free TV and movies are essential. Hawaiian Airlines lacked that feature. A few episodes or "series" that they had were interesting but not enough to keep me fully engaged. You had to pay for individual movies ($7.99) and even though it isn't a terrible price for a movie, I still wasn't willing to pay. If movies couldn't be free, then why not the regular TV shows? I think folks would have been okay with TV shows if the options were plentiful.

I really enjoy flying Delta but not this time!

Usually feel like it is an inconvenience to ask for more than one.... but they offered 2! I was very happy to hear that!!

Pros: I had paid for the Sky level as we were a party of long legged people. Out of the 4 flights we had taken, the best flight was the one from Hi to Atl. The seats, and leg space, was roomy. The food was good. The crew was just okay. They weren't particularly nice but rather abrupt. There were two mates that seems a bit confused. However, the plane was worth it.

Pros: The pilot came through all of the aisles in first class to personally thank us for flying with them. He took time to chat with us and answer our questions, which made me feel more comfortable about the long flight. The stewards/stewardesses were very nice and had us laughing on their welcome messages. The lay-flat seats in first class were the best. Very comfortable, and easy to fall asleep in, without disruption from other passengers who insist on keeping their reading lights on while everyone is trying to sleep.

Cons: DO NOT FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES DURING A PANDEMIC. They were not keeping folks distanced from each other, they did not make sure that all the passengers had masks (I understand that people might take them off in flight briefly to drink etc but there were people that walked right on without masks on at all) The flight was FULL. They did a full drink/snack down the aisle thing ensuring that everyone packed into that small space would all be taking off their masks at the same time (if they still had it on in the first place). I did not feel safe at all.

Cons: The flight had an emergency oxygen failure an hour into the flight, so we had to turn around and go back to the departure city for 4 hours. Extremely annoying on an overnight flight.

Pros: The trip started off poorly with a day delay and rebooking hotel and car at final destination. Not to mention our final destination is San Antonio not Phoenix. We were not rebooked for a flight from PHX to SAT. But after a few hours we were finally booked. We didn’t really appreciate the 7 hour layover at 0100 in the morning and nowhere to get a meal or even coffee. However, the flight had the same crew from the night prior and they were excellent. The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on.
Cons: We were ok with the hotel and meal vouchers however, again, the only part of our itinerary looked at was the first flight, not the second into SAT. Had we not questioned the agent, we would have been stuck in PHX with no room, no car, and if we eventually would have gotten a flight, our reservations for car and hotel in SAT would have been cancelled and I would have been out $1700. I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future.

After I got on the plane I asked one crew member if I have any chance to switch the seat to sit by the bathroom because I am very sick, but seems no one cares. No crews member checked me if I were ok. I had fever and so sick. There were late. I never have any bad fight like this forever.

AA did not successfully change our reservation when the initial leg of our trip was delayed by an hour due to a fuel issue, which caused us to miss your connection in Chicago. Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays.

Cons: This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them.

Looked at the board and realized the gate had changed, had to run all the way back to the other gate and it wasn't boarding yet. When I mentioned all this to the gate agent, she told me i should have checked the board & refreshed my app...i refreshed my App 6 times and it still didn't update - i'm not an idiot but she made me feel like one. She had no sympathy and was not nice or helpful. When we got on the flight, realized it was empty and we were sitting WAY in the back when there were plenty of open seats, so we moved up thank God!

I had to go back four rows and really shove my bag into a bin--and my bag isn't ovesized. Some of the crew headed to the back of the plane wearing latex gloves and later a passenger went into a lavatory to change his pants. I think someone threw up on the poor guy. What I didn't like was no one telling us why we weren't taking off, and no apology when we did! Later in the flight, I was asleep when the crew went up the aisle with a food cart and pinched my foot!

The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail.

Cons: The passenger in the seat next to mine rented a tablet from United and proceeded to spend the entire night playing games or watching movies -- he never turned it off the entire flight. The glare from the tablet made it impossible for me to sleep or even nap on the flight. I asked the fellow if he would mind dimming the screen but he told me that wasn't possible. If United could put dimmable screens on the tablets it would help create an environment conducive to sleep, which is what most passengers want on a redeye flight. Alternatively, privacy screens would cut down on the shared glare. As it was, the flight was a nightmare.

Pros: The crew onboard the United flights were very friendly and capable. Plus I downloaded the United app and was able to watch any show I could think of but Landed on Westworld, cause I can never catch-up.
Cons: Virtually no food included on an $800 dollar 5 hr flight. I even upgraded economy elite. In the equivalent range Alaskan gives a very nice fo-meal in a box. Finally, I arrived for my flight from San Luis Obispo an hour and 45 minutes early and stood in line to check my small bag for the first 45 minutes. At which point the desk agent made the announcement she would no longer take bags. Luckily my bag was small enough to be considered a carry on so I just went to security. I don't know what people with large bags behind me did? then it takes another 45 mins to get through security at which point they see my 5 inch knife on X-ray machine. Which I packed 3 days earlier when I planned to check my bag. Lost the knife, fine, my fault, goodbye favorite pocket knife. but now I am randomly selected for explosives LOL by TSA. I get to the gate the gate agent scans a ticket for the person infront of me. I step up and the same gate agent puts her hand over the scanner and says sorry it is late!? There were 6 other people behind me and this is a 22 person plane. So I still not upset walk back out of the security area because TSA closes the area in between flights and call United. They get me on the next flight out and rescheduled my following flight only a 3 hour wait. An hour goes by and the first desk agent, they have been holding the first flight because enough people aren't onboard. SLB is a joke.

Pros: We finally was able to get home after a long ordeal with customs, tsa and airlines.
Cons: Why are schedules so tight and then late which we had to go through long long lines at customs and tsa then run and miss our flight. Plane was there but they weren't let us on. Lufthansa put us up for the night. How do old people make their connections ...ask for wheelchair assistance?

Cons: Flight got cancelled, stuck for an extra day in Honolulu. United put me in a hotel for the night, but I have to check out at 11am and the new flight doesn't leave until 8:40pm. So now I'm just supposed to sit around the airport for 9 hours? Plus last night they told me all the other flights were full. But my girlfriend called this morning and also checked online and there was an earlier flight at 7am, that would have still got me to Denver tonight. and there WAS availability on it, but since I got different information from different people, time ran out and I couldn't get on that one. So I lose an entire day of my trip, and have to cancel the appointments I had scheduled in Denver for today. Plus the expense of having to find food in Honolulu for a day. So...yay united. Once again, you're awesome.

Cons: Being told that the United Wi-Fi was not working and then being told we could "Rent" tablets to watch movies on. They should have been free or very low-cost.

Pros: Comfortable seats and good service.
Cons: Not really flight related, but having the call buttons located on arm rests was terrible and interrupted sleep for everyone whenever someone's arm would bump a button and set it off.

Pros: The staff, especially the male flight attendant, watery knowledgeable, professional, and went out of husband way to make everyone satisfied.
Cons: The televisions breifly went out of service during my return trip from Denver to Des Moines. The issue was resolved promptly, but on such a short flight I was unable to use the service.

Cons: i paid to upgrade to economy plus, and was seated in the busiest door traffic area near the bathroom next to an obese man whose body literally melted over into my seat. it was the red eye and i slept only 5 minutes! also the flight attendant kept storming by back and forth for the entire flight, which made it absolutely impossible to fall asleep.

Cons: Same experience on ANOTHER 8 hour flight I have NEVER flown on an international flight and NOT received a complimentary meal or two...When I'm flying for 8 hours. On top of that the seats were very small and uncomfortable. I shouldn't feel a person grabbing a magazine or pulling down a tray when I'm sitting in the seat in front of them. I couldn't consistently watch a show or movie for 3 minutes thanks to the wifi and or app on MY Samsung tablet....it's SO sad that you guys couldn't have them already installed like other airlines. This airline is already in hot water, I expected MUCH better customer service. I will do my best NOT to use them again and tell others to do the same.

Cons: Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board.

Pros: The older planes of United Airlines could use some remodeling. The entertainment system with controls in the middle of the arm rest where the elbow rests is such a bad idea, didn't even bother with this crappy unintuitive system. It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though.

Pros: The crew was courteous, the pilot was the best one out of the 4 flights I had taken that weekend.
Cons: We used to get more for our money. 20 minutes isn't enough time to use the restroom and find and eat food after hauling from one terminal to another on the light rail. Then we are given a mystery snack mix and a drink, I remember we used to get meal service for flights that long. Boarding was very confusing for people in groups 3, 4, & 5 as we were all grouped in one line. Group 3 was called and 4 & 5 tried to board. A simple PA saying that group 3 should be in line first would help the confusion. The lady performing the boarding call was rude. Saying "I don't care I will just take thier bags and check them, they don't have a choice". That's a great way to start an argument. Then the seat pitch is awful, I'm not the only person flying that is over 6ft tall. My knees were directly impacting the meal tray arms of the seat in front of me the entire flight. Shorter flights weren't bad, but sitting on the ramp waiting for takeoff for at least 30 minutes plus the flight time was pretty painful.

Pros: Despite the lack of entertainment options, the ability to upgrade to economy plus made my flight comfortable.
Cons: No entertainment on board, and you need a plugin installed on your mobile device to make their streaming service work, which I didn't have.

Cons: Upon approach we were suddenly deverted to Seattle. I had a few issues. Number one you could not hear the pilot so that made it worse. The lack of communication was horrible. I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful.

Cons: $660 in baggage fees for a military traveller who signed up with a U.S. Flag carrier. The whole purpose of choosing United was their baggage limits, instead its just a code-shared flight with ANA as the operator and I end up paying loads to bring home equipment. Will use a budget airline that is more upfront with their fees next time.

Cons: Bad cancellation policy. I would've been charged over $200 to cancel a single leg of my journey (no other changes or add'l flight). Would not do business with United again.

Pros: The crew was awesome very patient understanding and amazing, not having available entertainment like some of the other Airlines in the seat was not very satisfying to say the least
Cons: A group of passengers delayed our flight by bringing too many bags on board that were unable to be stored away. I hope the process of boarding and upset a lot of people

Cons: We paid extra to have seating together in an upgraded to business class. We paid an additional $89.00 each for this option on top of our airfare. When we got to the boarding gate and we were ready to have our ticket scanned we were told, "unfortunately, you two won't be able to be seated together, we had a seat change that affected your seating." then we were asked to go to the counter at the gate to see what could be done, but there was nothing that could be done, the flight was full. So our money was collected but due to the mess up on seating and loss of our $600.00 epi pen medication we didn't take the flight.

Cons: Terrible experience ever!!!!! Didn't get economy plus that I paid for, seats didn't recline and luggage got damaged and was not replaces or compensated for.

Pros: The plane was a newer version so we could watch movies up close and personal, although I'd prefer the option to stop or pause the movie and also to choose to watch whenever I feel like it, like on the Lufthansa planes... those are great! Many choices and full control to pause or start whenever one likes to...
Cons: One of the flight attendants wasn't the friendliest, a bit of a "humph" attitude...

Pros: United always is superior to other Airlines once up in the air
Cons: We flew standby and United had problems with their first flight to Portand from San Francisco causing an overbooking situation. This the second time this year I have experienced this problem We literally were the last two people on the flight and it was very stressful as were meeting other family members to drive up to Seattle.

Pros: We arrived, and were on time.
Cons: The following points would be totally ok for a 50 Minute business flight, but not to a 5.5h flight to Hawaii. - Luggage costs extra $25 per direction. This amounts to additional 10% of the total costs. Does anyone not take checked luggage to Hawaii? - The lunch was a savory snack. Really, because a sandwich is too expensive? - Entertainment needs to be purchased extra. Use your existing Directv subscription? Of course not. - Power socket underneath the seat - good idea. One that actually works? Oh wait.

Pros: The flight was smooth. And the wine was good.
Cons: I paid for 2 round trip tickets and because my son was not there for the first leg, they resold the seat. So they got my money and the other person's money for the same seat. I wanted both seats and paid for both seats. It is theft and should not be allowed. The flight attendant was extremely rude and dismissive. It is a poor practice. You could have at least asked first before rebooking the seat. At least have offered compensation or something. I probably would have said yes Anyway. It's the principle of the process being wrong to the consumer which only benefits the corporation.
