Cons: "Once boarding began, there was no attention paid to distancing guidelines. I never heard anyone being directly reprimanded or corrected for not wearing a mask or not covering their nose while boarding or walking around the cabin. I was very surprised to find out the flight was 100% full. Every seat was filled. I thought airlines were taking precautions to provide space for passengers by leaving some seats empty. I felt very unsafe flying in a 100% full flight where no control for masks was taking place. This was my first time flying during COVID and I had thought airlines were doing more to instill trust in customers to keep customers flying but I will not be flying again until COVID is over as I did not see precautions keeping customers safe."

Considering I had just been through a death in my family and was mentally miserable ( she had no idea) she must have picked up on it. BEST FLIGHT IN YEARS. Thank you. Customer svc is everything."
Cons: "Went to ticket counter at 5:33 and talked with Tyler L, whose boss Jerry had instructed him to not let passengers check in after 5:30. The flight was at 6:10. Tyler smugly smiled while refusing to print a boarding pass, then was unable/uninterested in helping me rebook. I had gone through security and couldn't find boarding pass email. I went through checkin the night before but apparently it didn't finish. Talked with security about getting back to front of the line. I had 30 minutes to walk 600 ft and absolutely could have made that flight. Called 800 number to book a new flight."

Pros: "I'm used to being spoiled by Hawaiian Airlines. By comparison to Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian is a lot warmer with customer service, they are more efficient, they give you a free meal for trans-pacific flights, and they give you a screen or full entertainment system (depending on what kind of airplane you get). Alaska Airlines, by contrast, is a lot more bare-bones. I hardly had any contact with the flight attendants (when I did, they were nice enough I suppose), there was no food on the flight unless you paid a good penny for it, the seats were pretty average, and there was nothing really to watch (not even a common screen for movies, and this was a trans-pacific flight). You had to order their entertainment iPads. So I pretty much slept. That said, both Alaska and Hawaiian have good prices. Alaska had better options for departure and arrival times."

My Hawaiian flight was great, great customer service, seating and leg room was great. If I could have and should have flown Hawaiian instead of Alaska. I like Alaska Airlines but truely the plane I was on was old, crowded and hated the flight. Alaska could step up to the plate and provide a better experience. If I gauged my experience on Alaska through today's flight I would never fly them again. Really Alaska I know you can do better."

Cons: "I didn't make it because the flight to LAX was late and despite being told by an Avianca employee there was a later flight from LAX to PDX (at 11:45 on AlaskaAir) which I would be put on, once I arrived I was told I was on a 6 AM on Delta with no arrangement to get me a hotel or anything. I bought a separate ticket on that 11:45 flight on Alaska Air to PDX instead. Extremely unhappy with this service and will never again use it. I will also tell everyone in my social circles, in person and online, to stop using it."
Pros: "The attendant who helped me was extremely helpful in arranging for me to be on the next flight to Portland, out of San Jose. She called and arranged for a shuttle to pick me up in San Francisco and bring me to San Jose at no cost, and provided me with a flex ticket so that if I missed the next flight I could be on the subsequent one. (I did in fact make it -- just barely -- onto the 11:15 flight out of San Jose, so when all was said and done I landed in Portland about three hours later than originally planned. As it was a very short trip, I'm quite glad that I only lost the time that I did.) Thank you, Diane (Diana?), for all your help."
Cons: "I had originally been scheduled for an 8:45 am flight out of San Francisco. As I was leaving for the airport at 6:30 I received a text saying that my flight had been delayed until 10:08. I ended up arriving at the airport around 9:00 and making it over to the service desk around 9:20, at which point I was told by one of the attendants that the flight had left at 9:18 and I should have been at the airport two hours early. There was no acknowledgment by this particular attendant that I had been given wrong information by the airline that had resulted in my missing the flight."
Pros: "From booking to landing, Alaska Airlines treats travelers with courtesy, care, and respect. The cabins and lavatories are clean and well-maintained. I flew premium and the food, entertainment options, and service were on par with a 5-star experience! If I could only fly Alaska Airlines anywhere I would."
Pros: "Well, since you're asking, what I truly liked and enjoyed was being able to sleep comfortably undisturbed on this early morning flight from blast off to splash down. Comfy seats, no yakity-yak seat neighbors, no pesky flight attendants waking me to offer coffee, and a tidy restroom when needed. Just a happy flight. There, is that 50 words?"
Cons: "What I don't like is having to tell you what I like and don't like about taking a trip on an airline. Suffice it to say, we made it and that is never a small accomplishment for which I am always genuinely grateful and appreciative to the pilots, the crew, the engineers and builders of these large metal tubes with wings that continually and mostly consistently manage to defy the laws of gravity by propelling groups of human beings across large stretches of land and over water. Why wouldn't I be happy?"

I was traveling alone, so I was nervous about that until taking this flight. Every single staff member made sure I was feeling comfortable and very kind. In this same weekend, The plane is very roomy, and I took coach. I am 5 foot 9, so it's hard to find space for my legs. I did not have this problem at all, even with the person in front of me reclining their chair!! They have plugs for your charger for each individual seat, and the overhead lights don't blind you if your passenger buddy is using one and you're not. I love that!!! I will only use Alaska from here on out."

They put me on a flight that sent me to Seattle then to Portland 3 hours behind schedule, but I'm mostly upset because I still got to the Portland gate 20 minutes before the departure time and they refused to find me and 2 other passengers a seat on the flight because they over sold out seats, seats we bought months in advance. So i was there 25 - 20 minutes before departure and people were still running up to make their flight but their seats weren't over sold... I will never be flying with Alaska again. Every other airline lets most passengers check in within 30 minutes bc I've never had this problem before. Horrible service from the Alaska McCaren Las Vegas airport lord of additude for 5am. Maybe they need new updated workers that try to work with you."

Cons: "Apparent aggressiveness to get as many carry on bags paid for by the ground staff measuring with a measuring tape all bags. I've never seen anything like it. My bag was fine. Then, when they started to take fees you had to come back and pay. It wasn't done right then. The ground staff was minimally helpful. Flight amenities or not, pay for headset and having more than 2 TV shows and 2 movies cost you an up charge even on an overseas flight. One choice for dinner.- pasta so it was vegetarian. Breakfast was a sad roll, one small piece of cheese and ham, and fruit that was that questionable. Overnight flight, pillow no blanket in Economy. Seats hard and leg room was tight. Their Economy plus and business looked a much better way to go."
Cons: "The flight that I booked is from Omaha to Guangzhou, but you guys gave me the ticket shows that there has one stop by Canada, and I don't have the ETA so that the stuffs wouldn't let me get in the flight and I can't make my trip on time! I don't think that is my bad because as a customer YOU( this APP) should be able to let me know I need to get the ETA to support me stop by Canada before I book the ticket from YOU GUYS, and I don't know that, so that I can't get in the flight which is make me feels really tough! And I know that it is not just happen to me but also it happen to other people, there has some people has the same problem as I do, so I don't think you guys should do that! DO NOT sales us the ticket that can't let us get in the flight! As a public APP. You guys should make the notes when you sale the ticket, say" there has a one stop by Canada, IF U don't have ETA, pls don't book it!" Let the people know so that we won't get any trouble OK?!?!"
Pros: "-The tablet entertainment option was great since there was no inseat entertainment. The cost of of the tablet was cheap and allowed you access to everything, which is different from other airline a-la-carte purchasing of different entertainment. -Crew was great, food/beverage service was also great."
Cons: "-At HNL there was poor signage to get from the rental car return to the airline. Once we got into the terminal it really wasn't clear if we should go left or right, We wound up asking an American employee where Alaska was. -After the checked bag agriculture inspection it was not clear that you go to the kiosks there right after the inspection. I think it partially wasn't clear because there were multiple large groups traveling with tons of luggage and you go straight to the kiosks and then back track to hand over your checked bag. The line for checking the bag vs needing help wasn't clear either. Luckily there were Alaska employee's there helping at the kiosks and with the bag checking so it did go smooth but could definitely be better."
Pros: "Service was excellent as always. I was cold and reluctant to say anything. Seemed like lots were asking for hot drinks and bundled up so the stewardess asked the pilot to crank up the heat. (No one had requested this!) At that moment I realized, many of us are afraid due to recent things on the news. I am a frequent and long-term traveller so if I felt it, you can be sure others do too. It is an industry problem, not your fault, but Alaska has to address it. Even if people don't know that they are angry or afraid, they are going to be reactive--aggressive or passive and/or resistant.... I would encourage you to bring the issue to the surface and remind your travellers on every flight that they can expect excellent service, pleasant responsiveness. Say something or do something that gets at the idea that the Alaska staff is protective of each passenger. One idea would be to have the stewardess remind people of the call light and encourage passengers to use it if they have any questions or concerns, or come see them in the back when it is safe to leave the seat."

Cons: "The onboard crew seed a little stiff. They were very selective - the two flight attendants in first class & coach - with whom they greeted good morning / hello. I watched this from my seat in disappointment. I needed to ask for a seat extender as I'm currently recovering from surgery and needed a little room around the bandages and I had to ask several times even though there was not a lot of pre-flight activity. They were standing around in the aisle. I make note of this type of behavior because I fly frequently for work on a variety of airlines and this is my first experience with Alaska Air."

Staff were helpful and realized that we were bone tired (after being awake for over 30 hours). Flight was easy. Crew was nice. Easy access to baggage when we got to PDX. I love Alaska Airlines!"

Pros: "Check in was very smooth and stress free. There was a representative available to assist with printing our bag tag and getting our agricultural tag for our bags. Boarding and take off were on time and arrival was early. The only negative is that my wife and I were unable to sit together on the flight. Arrived at airport 6 hours early day of and was assigned 31F (only32rows) tried to change as I really wanted near front, isle seat... was turned down but guy and wife in line behind me changed thier's from back to row 6.... I endured 31F surrounded by sick coughing, sniffing, snotty nosed, sneezing people and crying children for next 6 hours...I've been back almost a week and just now feeling well enough to venture out...I will never travel Alaska airlines if they won't give me an acceptable seat assignment... Hawaiian Airlines trip there was wonderful!"

A view of lightning strikes in the distance after takeoff followed by a flight into the sunset landing shortly after the sun disappeared over the horizon, all aboard Alaska's specially-decorated Spirit of Disneyland II. It was a smooth flight with friendly employees at the gate and onboard. Window seat in coach was comfortable enough. I didn't buy any food onboard, choosing to stick with the traditional complementary pretzels and a glass of water, which I got refilled once. There was no entertainment provided, but the flight wasn't long enough to need it."

Pros: "I liked mostly everything. I sat near the back and there were multiple bathrooms. There was complimentary Starbucks coffee (regular and decaf). The flight attendants spoke clearly and were attentive to the you boy, probably 6, who was sitting next to me and was traveling alone. The seats were as comfortable as it gets on a plane and then bam! Surprise, the head rest bends on either side forming a protective cocoon so that your head doesn't slide forward constantly while you doze off. THAT was my favorite part about the flight. The pilots were ahead of schedule, the flight was smooth. Overall, awesome, comfortable flight."
Cons: "The only thing that stuck out to me personally that I didn't like, were the food choices. The options were all finger foods. When I'm on a plane, I don't like multiple things on my seat back tray so an option that came in a bowl/on a plate and with a fork would have appealed to me more."

He could have saved all of us and including himself lots of frustration if he had just made an announcement regarding the boarding process with directions when he was about to start boarding. Everyone was left without clear directions. Big let down to start my experience with Alaskan airlines."

I’m glad Honolulu was a one and done situation because I will NEVER come to this airport again. The inflight crew for our flight were completely rude and rushed... it’s a 5 hour flight.. there was no need. Our entertainment didn’t work so they gave us a 25$ voucher for a future flight.... something probably not even 10% of the flight will redeem.. overall not impressed."

Cons: "Despite checking in early I was unable to get an assigned seat until the very last minute. I wanted a window seat so that I could sleep by leaning against the wall but none were available. The airline employee initially said that he could offer me an upgrade to a premium seat but then he said that none of those were available either. The seat I got in the middle had very limited padding and would not recline even an inch. I usually fall asleep easily on planes but I could not sleep at all on this overnight flight. My neck and back are still sore from the flight even after napping for 5 hours when I got home. In addition, they offered us no snacks, except for purchase. I wish Southwest flew to Hawaii!"
Cons: "Same information as the above, Tried to change flight, and rebook, but could not get anyone to answer the phone. So had to book with another airline, so we can get home. So we paid twice to return home a day late. We would really like a credit or reimbursement for our return flight, since a natural disaster (road closed to airport) and no way to contact the airlines were the cause of our no show, which was this flight!"

Cons: "I booked my flight through a third party, which was fine. I chose my seat of 21J. After picking my seat I asked my husband what seat was he in. So he called Hawaiian Airlines and gave them my seat number and she told him once he got to the airport to have see if they sit him next to me. I get to the airport print my boarding pass I have no seat assignment. Asked the lady at the counter for seat assignment and we’re sitting in the very last seat. It was crammed uncomfortable because it was hot. Nothing to watch because they want to charge for everything. I’m hoping this is my last time flying with Hawaiian Airlines."

Why can't the other airlines do the same? The crew was stellar, as always. I can't say enough about Hawaiian. They are my airline of choice. I will always fly them if I possibly can."
Cons: "I can't tell you how disappointed I was to learn upon arrival in New Zealand, with no forewarning or preparation, that I was to be BUG SPRAYED before being allowed to leave the airplane. I have asthma. Being sprayed with chemicals is a serious health concern for anyone, but especially for those of us with asthma. They sprayed a cloud of chemicals directly over our heads and we sat helpless as the spray settled onto our clothes and skin and into our mouth and lungs. I had a asthma attack, and when I told the stewardess she looked at me and said "It won't be much longer." It was another 15 minutes. I was so unwell that I asked my husband if he would be able to carry me if I passed out. I also unfortunately forgot my ebook reader in the seat due to my attack. When I wrote customer service I received only "We will forward your message" and no response beyond that regarding the return of my device. This entire experience has caused me great distress and I am sincerely hopeful that as a corporation you will take steps to ensure the welfare of your customers by ensuring they are aware of all treatments to expect when on board your aircraft. Had I known, I could have brought a mask and saved my serious asthma attack. I probably would not also be without my ebook reader."

Pros: "The crew does a fine job, and the airplane is comparably clean and comfortable. I fly a fair amount however and I am always disappointed to learn what is NOT included in my fare. The direct connection between where I was an where I wanted to be made the difference in this case."
Cons: "I had a very hard time locating the correct ticketing counter. In fact, due to a lack of signs (Honolulu airport) I was in line for Australia before a person came and asked. It was poorly organized. I was disappointed to pay for my only bag (which was carry-on size and only needed to be checked due to a liquid I was bringing home). I was disappointed to learn that the only in-flight entertainment I had available without paying was short documentary films about Hawaiian Airlines or their staff's travels. On a five hour flight it is particularly frustrating to have so little available. My Delta flight by contrast offered multiple movie titles. In fact, I could have gotten another flight for less $ with more entertainment (but going to a different city)."
Pros: "For some reason the plane was swapped to the newer models so some of our group got upgraded to extra comfort since extra is given to rows 11-21 on the new planes. Row 13 was non existent anymore to make room for the lie flats so gave my in laws the extra comfort we had in row 14 and upgraded our flights to business class. Totally worth it and paid just $370 to upgrade since we got credit for the amount we paid for extra comfort ($495 - $125 credit). On a 10 hour flight it made a huge difference since we got to stretch out, nap and enjoy amazing food while being ultra comfy! I would recommend on the longer flights for sure and when you upgrade w/in 24 hours its way cheaper than the $2500+ cost that it normally would be."

(One was for an extra blanket as I had cold air blowing on me and the other was to take my rubbish) They never did. I have never encountered this with any Airline before."
Cons: "When I booked the flight, I was not able to select my seat despite paying a hefty sum (well over double the cost of normal). As I went to check in, I still was not able to select a seat. As I refreshed my mobile check-in, I finally was assigned a seat just prior to boarding. As I stood in-line to board, I noticed that my seat changed, which also meant a different boarding zone. I left the line to wait for the next queue to board. As I stood in line again to board, I was called to the podium by an agent. They informed me that my seat changed. At this point, I was one of the last to board. My final seat on the plane ended being in a seat that did not recline (which is terrible for a 5.5 hour flight), next to a woman that spilled over into my seat. And in front of a very tall gentleman with his feet staying next to me most of the ride. At the price I paid and the changes they were making, I would have preferred an upgrade. The cost for my ticket was well over what i would have been charged for first class on any other day."

We had to sit on the plane until customs was "ready for another group" and then there were at least 5 check points! We even had to go through security again and give up our newly purchased water bottles. We had to pick up our luggage and transport it to another drop point and no one there had a clue how the luggage was being organized - no surprise then that we arrived in Portland with 4/6 pieces of luggage. We were told it would be delivered to us - 2 days later still waiting. NOT impressed!"

If you are going to another island or if you are going to the Mainland, be clearer which line to get in. Bigger signs please. This was a chaotic self check-in. Thank goodness I came to the airport 3 hours early. Much better organization at the LAX airport."

American Airlines customer service was extremely poor. They canceled our flights multiple times. Then put us on standby trying to get on flights instead of booking us on a confirmed flight to get us home. So flight after flight we kept our hopes up just to be disappointed and stuck from a connecting flight. We had never been to Dallas so we were sleeping on the floor at the airport waiting to get home.

The flight was open so we were able to get more leg room, less waiting time for the bathroom, and pretty much one on one service from our flight attendants. With all the struggle in the beginning, this particular flight was actually the best flight I have been on."

I already lost money but it could have been worse. Basically, I am paying for a car and room that I am not currently in. Reimbursement for that would have been nice. Either way we will still travel using the travel service and this particular airline in the future."

Since American partners with Alaskan Airlines, American should have changed my reservations with regards to Alaska Airlines, but they failed to do that. I stood at the Alaskan Airlines counter as the plane left the gate with our empty seats because there was not a ticket. American Airlines did not change a reservation successfully and so although we had boarding passes with our names and seats and the flight number, the plane left without us. I was stranded and Seattle airport at midnight with a child and an infant with one diaper and one bottle left and it was a terrible experience with American Airlines. I do not recommend flying American they cannot get it together when problems happen with delays."

We were able to board bc other passengers did not show up, however we no longer had our seat preference, so I had a middle seat, although I'm a service member with a left knee issue so my seat needs to be an isle one. Cons: "This flight was actually from Denver to Kona. There was 1.5 hour delay due to mechanical issue with plane, so we had to switch gates and planes. That wasn't so bad. What made it bad was an extra 45 minute delay because apparently maintenance forgot to sign off on the new plane. Also, the space below the seat for my feet and carry-on was unacceptable. All the aisle seats like mine had only half the space of the window seats for their feet. If you're in an aisle seat on that plane, it's impossible to fit anything but the size of a small purse under the seat in front of you. And the middle seat fares only a bit better. Finally, with 7 hours of flight time plus about an hour waiting to depart from gate on plane, the crew ignorantly decided to hand out the Hawaii form to fill out within 2 minutes of preparing to land. Many people didn't have time to fill out the form before being required to put tray tables up. Fortunately, these forms aren't as serious as going thru customs, but it's stupid to pass out the forms that late into the flight expecting people to complete them."

When I mentioned all this to the gate agent, she told me i should have checked the board & refreshed my app...i refreshed my App 6 times and it still didn't update - i'm not an idiot but she made me feel like one. She had no sympathy and was not nice or helpful. When we got on the flight, realized it was empty and we were sitting WAY in the back when there were plenty of open seats, so we moved up thank God!"

Cons: "1. The flights within the US and Canada was delayed. 2. The United Airline staff in San Francisco told me to pick up my luggage when I get to Seattle despite of the fact that my final destination was Vancouver. I questioned the staff about this ata this seemed odd, but he insisted that I pick up my luggage in Seattle. Upon arrival to Seattle I went to the baggage claim area to find out that my luggage was already put through to the connecting airline to Vancouver. This resulted in me having to go through a long line of passengers to do all of the security checks again to enter the international airport gates. This almost resulted in me missing my connecting flight to Vancouver. The only saving grace was that the flight was delayed by another hour. 3. Changes made on my connecting flights were only given to me during my check in at Auckland. My previous booking was Auckland -San Francisco - Portland - Vancouver. The boarding pass I was given in Auckland omitted Portland and was changed to Seattle. I was never informed about this by United Airlines. 4. United Airlines website NOT allowing me to log in using my e-mail."
Pros: "Checked on carry on for no charge"
Pros: "The crew onboard the United flights were very friendly and capable. Plus I downloaded the United app and was able to watch any show I could think of but Landed on Westworld, cause I can never catch-up."
Cons: "Virtually no food included on an $800 dollar 5 hr flight. I even upgraded economy elite. In the equivalent range Alaskan gives a very nice fo-meal in a box. Finally, I arrived for my flight from San Luis Obispo an hour and 45 minutes early and stood in line to check my small bag for the first 45 minutes. At which point the desk agent made the announcement she would no longer take bags. Luckily my bag was small enough to be considered a carry on so I just went to security. I don't know what people with large bags behind me did? then it takes another 45 mins to get through security at which point they see my 5 inch knife on X-ray machine. Which I packed 3 days earlier when I planned to check my bag. Lost the knife, fine, my fault, goodbye favorite pocket knife. but now I am randomly selected for explosives LOL by TSA. I get to the gate the gate agent scans a ticket for the person infront of me. I step up and the same gate agent puts her hand over the scanner and says sorry it is late!? There were 6 other people behind me and this is a 22 person plane. So I still not upset walk back out of the security area because TSA closes the area in between flights and call United. They get me on the next flight out and rescheduled my following flight only a 3 hour wait. An hour goes by and the first desk agent, they have been holding the first flight because enough people aren't onboard. SLB is a joke."
Cons: "Flight got cancelled, stuck for an extra day in Honolulu. United put me in a hotel for the night, but I have to check out at 11am and the new flight doesn't leave until 8:40pm. So now I'm just supposed to sit around the airport for 9 hours? Plus last night they told me all the other flights were full. But my girlfriend called this morning and also checked online and there was an earlier flight at 7am, that would have still got me to Denver tonight. and there WAS availability on it, but since I got different information from different people, time ran out and I couldn't get on that one. So I lose an entire day of my trip, and have to cancel the appointments I had scheduled in Denver for today. Plus the expense of having to find food in Honolulu for a day. So...yay united. Once again, you're awesome."
Cons: "The most rude staff I've ever encountered, at least at the HNL airport. Movies didn't work"
Cons: "Never got to do this flight because of the previous flight which is reviewed below: My seat was broken and wouldn't stay in upright position. This really pissed off the passenger behind me. Crew kept telling me to put my seat upright, I kept having to tell them the seat was broken. Old airplane with no in-seat entertainment. they advertise on the seat that you can watch all their entertainment content for free, but then you have to pay for wifi to watch so it's not free then, is it? Every movie or show requires "additional software" so you have to purchase internet to do the download. This is an 11 hour flight, I would have appreciated being able to watch a movie or something without forking out $30. Flight was delayed, so we were low on time to make our connection. I asked a flight attendant twice if we could get help deplaning early or at least get moved up some rows since we were in the very back of a 747 (there were plenty of vacant seats). They said no, and told us that customs would only take a minute and that the other united flight knew we'd be coming and would wait. I don't usually fly united; other airlines typically will actively take steps to help (like moving connecting passengers to the front shortly before landing) if they are the cause of the delay. Customs had only one agent working and we were pretty much last in line so that process took over an hour. Just moving us 10 rows forward before landing would have made all the difference because our connecting flight closed its doors and taxied for takeoff less than 5 minutes before we arrived. They had some united employees guiding and directing a couple of passengers that were going to be late for a connection to LAX, but no help for those of us connecting to portland. Customer service didn't even offer a verbal apology. Last time I flew with united, I also had a terrible experience for different reasons. I did not intend to fly united for this flight, but I purchased tickets through and for Lufthansa, and this flight was regrettably operated by united. Another thing I don't like - the food was horrendous. It was a breakfast sandwich that was advertised as "hot and fresh" on the packaging but was served straight from the refrigerator. I was in the middle seats with one person to my left and two people to my right. Everyone took only one bite and threw away the rest. Just don't bother serving the food if it's going to be that bad, it's very wasteful. I always appreciate a hot towelette after a long overnight flight. United offered no such thing which was a first for me. Regarding boarding: they called us all up to line up in boarding groups and then we had to stand in line for 65 minutes. I have a bad back and had to sit on the carpet to avoid being last in line and not having space for my carry on bag. Would have been nicer if they would have just let us sit in the chairs at the gate in comfort until they were ready to board."
Pros: "The older planes of United Airlines could use some remodeling. The entertainment system with controls in the middle of the arm rest where the elbow rests is such a bad idea, didn't even bother with this crappy unintuitive system. It was annoying and flashy with bright advertisements or something popping up on a night time flight just sooooooo annoying, turning it off was not intuitive and had to ask the flight attendants how to turn it off during their very busy work of handing out packages with five miniature pretzels and drinks to the passengers, was happy to get a whole cab of juice to myself though."

Cons: "1. At checkin, the counter person wanted to charge us for a bassinet! We've had over 40 flights in 13 months and this is the first time any checkin person tried to charge for the bassinet. 2. My daughter was sleeping on my lap so I couldn't get up. I repeatedly pressed the call button for a tissue. They didn't come until the cart came. She refused to give me a tissue and told me to get some from the bathroom. Clearly, I couldn't get up bc of my sleeping baby. Finally another flight attendant gave me some when she gave me a glass of water."
Pros: "The crew was nice on the plane"
Cons: "The flight attendants were terrible, wouldn't let us get off the plane to get food when we were delayed for over an hour and then wouldn't even sell us food until half way into the flight. I hadn't eaten since the earlier flight coming from international transfer thinking I was going to miss so I rushed to get there only to be delayed with united again then starved and not arriving home in Corvallis until 1 when I had work at 7 am. Made me not happy at all. I will never fly United again."
Cons: "Upon approach we were suddenly deverted to Seattle. I had a few issues. Number one you could not hear the pilot so that made it worse. The lack of communication was horrible. I have been on flights when there has been clarity given a change in plans but this was bad. We sat at the gate for an hour and a half, again no real communication, the fligh attendant t hope was joking when he said there was a half a bottle left for the whole plane...much later we were served water. Announcements were made but no clarity. We were told to collect baggage at number 2. Get a voucher for a hotel. After deplann9ng about 25 of us stood in line at the customer service desk where there were two staff working slowly. Then after an hour they announced we were in the wrong place, couldn't that have been explained earlier? Once we made our way out of the terminal to the ticket count the line was all the way down the hall. still with little info we waited. We landed at the alternate airport at 945, at 130am I had my vouchers, the food not useful until the following day, the hotels were full, no one picked up the phone for the shuttle bus to the hotels. I finally elected to sleep at the airport on a bench. We had actually all been reassigned a flight on our same plane. So I am not sure why we had to wait in line all that time. Our bags were not removed from the plane an irritated baggage claim attendant told me. It was a mess. The flight the next morning was fine, short, without problems for me. united needs to work on its communications. It would have been helpful to have someone out side running the line giving out info. And at customer service they should have been paying attention to their line. Would have been helpful."
Pros: "The viewing entertainment was excellent as well as the audio. It held my interest all evening."
Cons: "I didn't like the fact during our entire flight we where not offered free snacks. I went to the to the rear of the plane to order a drink. I didn't take my credit card with me. She gave me the drink but told me I had to come back and pay. I found the stewards to be very lazy."

Cons: "The following points would be totally ok for a 50 Minute business flight, but not to a 5.5h flight to Hawaii. - Luggage costs extra $25 per direction. This amounts to additional 10% of the total costs. Does anyone not take checked luggage to Hawaii? - The lunch was a savory snack. Really, because a sandwich is too expensive? - Entertainment needs to be purchased extra. Use your existing Directv subscription? Of course not. - Power socket underneath the seat - good idea. One that actually works? Oh wait."

Cons: "I paid for 2 round trip tickets and because my son was not there for the first leg, they resold the seat. So they got my money and the other person's money for the same seat. I wanted both seats and paid for both seats. It is theft and should not be allowed. The flight attendant was extremely rude and dismissive. It is a poor practice. You could have at least asked first before rebooking the seat. At least have offered compensation or something. I probably would have said yes Anyway. It's the principle of the process being wrong to the consumer which only benefits the corporation."
