My seat next to the emergency exit could not be reclined. The meal was just fruit and sandwiches. I appreciated the fresh fruit but the sandwiches were mediocre.

There was no in flight entertainment or snacks for passengers. All other aspects were good.
Large food portions for a large trip
Short flight from Houston to DFW. And apparently no InFlight entertainment nor working charging outlet either. Oh well, not too bad as it’s a short trip.
Dealing with customer service was a terrible experience. Our flight was changed by the computer system to a different flight a full day later, and we were given no option to change it. It took us a full 6 hours of waiting before we could actually talk to a human on the phone to help us get it fixed. Then we had to talk to customer service at the airport as well which was a 90 minute wait. The employees were wonderful and helpful when we talked to them, but the wait time was unacceptable.
The entertainment screen and power outlet was out of order on whole left side of the plane for the full ride- 6 hours. It was terrible to be crammed in and have no where to escape to.
Entertainment options were great! You had my tomato juice choice thank you. The boarding was so fast and efficient that we took off earlier than our flight time. Thank you for allowing a carry on and personal item without charging What could be better: on the flight to Florida both my cup and my friends cup broke and the juice from mine and water from hers leaked. The plastic is very fragile.

I waited at the original gate (C39) from arrival time (2:30 pm) til boarding time (5:40 pm). When I saw no change to my destination, I checked the United App to find that the gate had been changed C33). Rushing to C33 I found another flight boarding at that location with one United Representative who could not stop to answer questions. Seeing two unoccupied Representatives at the next gate (C32), I asked if they could help me with the confusion, they said I should check with gate C33 - which I told them that she was too busy with other passengers. I searched for a Departure Board and discovered that gate C33 was still the gate, but "aircraft maintenance" had delayed the flight until after 8:20. After having to check my carry-on because of lack of space in the overheads, my departure from the airport was further delayed another 30 minutes. Upon returning home and checking my email, I found notifications of two different gate changes (C33 & C44). Announcements should have been made at both gate C39 about the changing of the gate and at C33 explaining the problem. The captain's lame excuse about air conditioning and Phoenix's hot weather was lame to say the least."

Montgomery, M.D. phone: 713.599.1144 on June 9th and was treated for uncontrolled Blood Pressure. I was advised to reschedule my flight after a follow-up appointment on June 23rd. On June 10th I Called United to reschedule my June 11th flight and was referred to Lowestfare.com at 800.678.0998. I spoke to Albert and explained my situation and was told that I couldn't reschedule. I asked to speak to a manager and spoke to Jane who only confirmed that I couldn't reschedule and nothing could be done. Not allowing customers with verifiable medical excuses to reschedule their flight is a shameful business practice."

The coffee maker onboard had been broken for a long time and the airline couldn't be bothered to fix it. If I were the flight crew, I would have gone on strike. No leg (or arm) room on the express jet really punctuated a 34 hour itinerary with a sour note. I could barely walk off the plane in the end. Less comfortable than a cheap rental truck for the same amount of time. I likely won't fly again with United. I'd almost rather walk next time to be completely honest. At least it would be healthier!"

Clearly not anyone's fault, but still frustrating and not a great flying experience."

Pros: "The only thing I have to say that is positive is that it was relatively easy to change my flight date and time in the United app once my original flight had been cancelled. The app was the only thing that helped me understand what was going on during the constant time and gait changes throughout the day."
Cons: "This airline is terrible. First we were told that the flight would be delayed 1 hour and 40 minutes. We were supposed to leave at 2139 from IAH to PHX. They changed the departure to 2309 due to "mechanical failure" of one of the aircrafts. We were told a plane was coming and that we were just waiting for another flight to Albuquerque that was delayed before us to leave the gait. Long after that first delayed flight left passengers for PHX were delayed 3 more times which ended in the final tenative departure time being 0145. We were told at 0115 to sit tight and wait because the plane was now here but the crew was still in route. Shortly after this promise, the crew showed up and everything seemed to be ready for us to board. Another 30 minutes went by and they announced that the flight was cancelled. United airlines had used up over 4 hours of changing gaits and times only to end up cancelling the entire flight. They did not offer any explanation for this nor were they the least sympathetic to the travelers who have all paid to be on that flight. The customer service was disgraceful and did not offer any type of help on reimbursement, hotel, cabs, or compensation for this."

There were children and infants on that flight with exhausted parents who had to take off at 2am instead of 8:50pm. It was awful. Plus you have to pay for a carry on? Ridiculous. I never want to fly Frontier again."

No early boarding with my two year old, but only after all the elite and a whole zone 1 of people. Seats have big gaps that allow things to fall and people sneezing on you from behind. Loud crew with obnoxious lights on during a very delayed flight that became a red eye. Why pay more for seats near the loud crew who doesn't take in the fact that we're all tired. You want to sell food? Choose better items. My $3.99 coffee could at least have more than a powder non-dairy creamer. Flight price is so deceiving when you charge for everything on top of it, including where I sit. Lame, awful, corporate money grubbing mentality. I'll stick with southwest (I later learned they had had fewer options for once because they actually considered that a runway was closed)."

Having to avoid the pile of ice that was dumped by the flight crew into the bathroom sink when i washed my hands wasn't very pleasant. The chairs are still incredibly uncomfortable, even in my "stretch" seating assignment ($35 poorly spent on my part). This trip made me rethink the cost benefit of taking Frontier. Flying United or American may be worth the extra money. And that's coming from someone on a tight budget. I used to enjoy flying Frontier and love taking a plane in general. I surely didn't this time."

That was a 15 minute wait, compared to the normal airlines with 15 machines it was completely avoidable. I was surprised to learn carry on bags cost $40-45, putting me $20 below the cost of a untied flight."

I completely understand the earlier flight thing, but common courtesy goes a long way! The gate agent was quite curt in his attempts to board people by boarding groups. The flight crew was tired, bored and just doing a job. Frontier will not be at the top of the list for future flights."

Spirit employees wouldn't check me in, saying they were too busy and I need to wait, but no worry, there's plenty of time. Asked again later and was told to check in online. Checked in online and was told (after the many upsell screens) that I couldn't print a boarding pass and needed to go to a Spirit counter. Went back to the Spirit gate and they said I hadn't checked in so they gave away my seat, and they didn't have another flight until tomorrow. Did I want it? Nope. Bought tickets on a real airline. Will never, ever travel with Spirit again."

All hard surfaces inside the aircraft, so sound wasn't dampened--so noisy it was unpleasant; squalling baby noise seemed to reverberate through the cabin. Flight scheduled at lunchtime, but the closest thing to decent food on board was a bag of nuts. Didn't know it was possible to call something so little a "tray table", or a bungee cord a "seat pocket". It was an Airbus, so made weird sounds--luggage bins vibrated so badly during descent that people put their hands up to try to stop the shaking."
