Flight from Sydney to LAX was delayed by 4 hours, then missed flight LAX to LAS... overall long delayed arrival. Checked the route through Brisbane, and those flights we're all there, departed and landed all on-time... so wondering what the reason was for the change of the itinerary without a cause (no cancel or delayed flights through Brisbane)

Pros: Crew was very nice. Food was very good and plentiful. Entertainment was good. Overall the very long flight was better than expected.
Cons: It took forever to board in Sydney with all passengers standing and waiting for 45 minutes and never being told what was going on. I resented having my passport and ticket demanded at least 4 times. A bit overkill and a power trip by security. Absolutely despise airport security...there is no uniformity.

Pros: - Presence of entire box sets of some TV shows was a nice touch that I made good use of.
Cons: - EVERY damn movie is prefaced by 4 minutes of ads. - The touchscreens (at least in economy) are slow resistive screens that are horrible for fine control gestures (like slightly changing the volume or position)

Pros: Pilot was great— we don’t thank them enough for a smooth and safe arrival. Plane was great. Ammenities were given (such as ear plugs etc)
Cons: Crew members are a bit bland and lack customer service, but I noticed that as a whole in Australia (slow service/not really interactive or communicative & very quick to make comments and leave) not sure if they just hate Americans based on the media or what. One crew member cut in line at the restroom when there was 3 of us waiting to go. Another told me my husband couldn’t receive his meal because he was napping and then he quickly walked away— Yet i received mine on the flight coming to Australia when my husband asked for me? Sanitation between flights should be more strict-my headphones were opened which lead me to believe my pillow wasn’t changed either, since one had a case and one didn’t.

Cons: The following experience goes down in history as the worst ever because: we had a 3.5 year old child, and mom and dad seated directly in front of our row. The couple ignored the instructions to move seats forward during meals making it impossible to eat. They placed their luggage in the overhead compartment belonging to both rows, which wasn't a problem if they hadn't proceeded to open and close the compartment every 20 minutes. The 300 pd dad repeatedly stepped on my broken toe while reaching for his luggage, while rattling around and disturbing sleeping passengers. And, sadly the child repeatedly threw temper tantrums without any care or effort of intervention from the parents. In short, they terrorized the surrounding travellers. In contrast, my outbound flight, also had a family seated in the row directly in front. This family was the antithesis, considerate and respectful of their fellow passengers. Susan Laws

Pros: Everything about my flights on Virgin Atlantic was amazing. The plane was new and comfortable, the seats seemed to recline more than in other airplane I have been. The entertainment was good with a wide selection of movies and TV shows. The crew was incredibly nice and helpful and I had a really pleasant time talking with them. On the airport team side I can also say they were extremely helpful as I missed my flight and they promptly rebooked me on the next one 3h later, free of charge. I think the stress of missing a flight was completely deflected by the help of the Virgin Atlantic crew at the desk so thank you for that!
Cons: The only thing I would improve is the main dish in the meal. I loved all the small sides like the Boursin and crackers but I found the main meal a little bland l.

Pros: Cabin crew were accommodating and nice throughout the flight. Meals were good and the service was quick. Large range of entertainment selection for the trip helped pass the time.
Cons: The check in process and boarding process were very slow. It made going through security a bit stressful and I didn't have much time after going through the security to use the bathrooms or get a quick bite to eat before the plane boarded.

Pros: The crew were very polite and looked smart, I didn’t find them very personable at all though. The entertainment system is fantastic and my meal was ok I guess, I requested the low fat meal, probably should’ve just had the normal one.
Cons: The seats are not very comfortable, very hard and textured seats that just don’t feel nice at all especially on a long flight. I weight about 11 stone (154 pounds) and even I felt like I was taking up a lot of room in my seat.

Cons: During my flight from LAX to LHR I requested (pre-booked) a special meal (Asian Vegetarian). During the flight I was told there was no such request in their records and therefore I had to stay hungry for the entire duration of the flight. During my return flight from LHR to LAX the in flight entertainment system for my seat was not functional. I requested it to be reset several times and in spite of the hostess resetting it several times, it did not function. I had to stay without an entertainment system during the entire flight. This was my first time travel with Virgin Atlantic. I may never fly Virgin Atlantic again.

Pros: I wish I knew the name of the crew on this flight so that credit is given where it's due. A female steward was incredibly kind to me. She allowed me space to cry in the back of the aircraft, and also gave me her personal tissues. Her care is the only reason I'd give this flight an 'okay.'
Cons: Unlike the incredibly kind woman, another woman on the crew was incredibly rude to me and to other passengers on the plane. She was very obviously annoyed with nearly everything on that flight. The restrooms were beyond disgusting. I have never flown on a flight with a restroom that awful; it smelled horrible and was filthy. It was reminiscent of a portable outhouse, no exaggeration. The pillow on my seat had makeup on it.

Cons: You lost our luggage. We were able to pick up our luggage after the Sydney flight, but they never made it to Minneapolis. What I don't understand is why we were not able to get boarding passes and seat assignments when we did our check-in in Sydney? Why is that so hard? Also, when we were getting our boarding pass in LAX it was so confusing when it asked for checked bags. Our bags were already on a belt going to who knows where - were we supposed to check "yes"? If we had a boarding pass this would not have been an issue.

Pros: Superior comfort, class, and style. The crew was friendly and accommodating, the pilots kept you up to date with flight info and departure/arrival time (and kept the seat belt light off almost the entire trip), the food was delicious and offered throughout, and the entertainment was top notch. Seats were comfortable (we had bulkhead row Space+ and they were worth every cent for the international long haul from LAX-BNE and SYD-LAX) and everyone got a pillow/blanket. We got premium noise-canceling headsets, water, and a little care kit including an eye mask and earplugs and a pen to fill out your travel documents. The overhead bin space was huge and we got two free checked bags of luggage up to 50lbs each (I don't know of that's standard or not, or if it came with Space+ seats). SERIOUSLY the best airline.

Cons: I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint.

Pros: All cabin crew were courteous. Refreshments were light. Check stuff were helpful, they did devise that the flight was full and due to space hand luggage would prefer to be put in hold free of charge. We did not have any problem with this. Plane was clean.

I sat in the middle seat between two hours other men. It was a constant struggle arm space. After 7hours in the air I could not wait to get off the plane. If I didn't actually pay an extra €60 for the seat I may not feel bad but I feel like I might have been better off without paying for the "upgrade"

Cons: I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again.

Cons: Without any explanation the plane I was due to go to Istanbul on at 11.30 was not available. I had to wait for a small plane coming from Edinburgh then wait for it to be emptied of passengers and cleaned. This meant we were over 2 hours late into Istanbul. No explanation or apology. I then missed my next flight in Istanbul and had to purchase another ticket. I cannot believe that air passengers are treated in this way!!! I will follow this up with KLM when I go home from my holiday.

Cons: Departure was scheduled with one hour delay. When everyone was boarded they mentioned a leaking toilet. It took them 1,5 hours to disable the toilet. In the mean time, no drinks, no snacks, nothing. So we should depart at 18:00 but it became 19:30. Our first drinks and meal was no earlier then 21:00. The crew should have anticipated better that the technical problem would at least take one hour and give everyone a drink at least.

Perhaps it was because the flight took off on Vriday afternoon when most Israei,I don't work snd there were an inadequate number of checkin clerks. But that is NO EXCUSE. I have also never been on a p,and with so many small children....who were VERY noisy. You should seat them all in one section, curtained off from other passengers. It was an unpleasant experience.

Pros: This was a cheap flight from LAX to ZRH with a layover in Moscow and that's about as good as it gets.
Cons: The check in personnel was not that helpful and were very slow to check in everyone to their corresponding flights, and since kiosks were not available for aeroflot the experience was unavoidable. The plane economy class is really as uncomfortable as it gets for a transatlantic flight. There were no beer options for the flight (nor vodka which is weird), and flight attendants weren't that happy to talk to you in English. 5 hours wait at Moscow are the worst, if you're thinking on saving some dollars on a transatlantic flight this is not worth it.

Pros: My initial flight from LAX to Moscow 10 days before the video entertainment system wasn't working for anyone, so we had to endure a 12 hour flight without movies or music. But this flight the system was working so I was happy for that. Food was fair.
Cons: Again the on boarding process was a mess. Gate number changed and everyone was once again cramming them selves into the line from all directions. Essentially there was no line. We also were at a gate where another flight ahead of us was still boarding (to London) so I think that made people more anxious and frustrated. When we finally passed through the gate and boarded a transport bus, the bus only took us a few feet away to the next gate, and they had us climb up a set of stairs up to the entry way from where our original gate number was located. Why even bother changing the gate then!

Pros: Cabin staff (Russian) tried very hard, had limited English, drinks available through our flight. In flight entertainment there were a lot of choices (13 1/2 hr flight). For LA to Spain it was the best price.
Cons: Announcements from flight deck in English very hard to impossible to understand. Most passengers are Russian. There are some differences in culture and etiquette that exist and you can either deal with them or you can't. Their norm is to be willing to stand in long lines. Personal space may be less than what we are accustomed to in US. The airline staff usually have some English but are not interested in having a discussion with you, just a couple of words. Food: passable, no more. Lady sitting next to me opened up a paper then plastic wrap, placed 2 smoked fish on a stack of napkins then proceeded to dismantle it with her fingers and eat it. It was smelly and disgusting. I commented to a flight attending that I found this impolite to inflict on other passengers - nothing was done - she didn't say a word to the passenger. I don't want to rule others but when I pay money, I don't feel that I should have no say. I might do it again but the cost difference would really have to make it worthwhile.

Pros: Food and drinks were completely free (red and white wine was the only alcoholic beverage unfortunately). They had a surprisingly good selection of movies (new and old), which update frequently. Gets the job done perfectly well and at a fraction of the cost. Will fly again.
Cons: Seat size/spacing was tight; rather uncomfortable if you're 6 ft 2 in or taller. I imagine this is always true for economy class on any 12+ hour flight. English on intercom for in-flight announcements was passable to poor at times, but attendants were extremely nice.

Cons: I have flown all over the world with guitar as my carry-on. This time the check-in crew forced me to check it AND charged me for it. I had 1 checked bag (which is free) and the 2nd bag (which is $50). But because they FORCED me to check in my guitar, the total became $200. It is absolutely ridiculous. I want to take it up with corporate and get my money back.

With our connecting flight from Moscow to Madrid, they were so late that they started moving with not everyone in heir seat. Seemed unsafe but I can tell they were in a rush since they were so far behind schedule.

(They offered an in-flight credit, but I'd paid for premium exit row seat and had to choose between moving to working system in crowded middle seat or keep premium, exit seat. I decided to have them move me to a seat with a working entertainment system, which were available and they'd offered, but never happened.) When I got home, I discovered the gift I purchased with in-flight credit and my own money wasn't the one I'd requested from Duty Free catalog so now I have to figure out how to solve this problem. (COULDN'T GET IT RIGHT.) Premium exit row seat was narrow, due to in-seat tray table & entertainment system, but seatbelt mounts and thinly padded seat made it even more uncomfortable on a long flight.

Failed to get a voucher, refund or change the dates online, was still getting an error. on messenger they answered and told me i can get a voucher, i told them i don't want it and after that they stopped replying all together. good thing i got my money back by filing a dispute with my credit cart company.

I booked this flight from Tel Aviv to London with 60min.layover in Warsaw, the schedule LOT offered. .The first leg to Warsaw was 30min. late without any announcement and no one mentioned about how it would affected connecting flights. So I asked the flight attendent before lading in Warsaw and she suggested to run throught the security. We thought we might have a chance as we were sitting close to the front rows. Nah, not so fast. It turned out that's not as rsimple as unning between the gates, everyone had to be shuttled to the main terminal and only the business class got a small van and went first, abd we were not allowed on that van even I told the guy we needed to catch the flight. Long story short, we finally made to the gate, Thanks to a LOT personnel pushed us to the front of security check and informed the gate we were coming. We literally RAN after the security to the gate. They reopened the gate to let us in and the aircraft pushed away right after we got on. The luggage, with that tight schedule, of course they would not be able to make the swich to London. So we had nothing except the cloth from Tel Aviv, its about 15C in tempture, we were freezing. Waiting for our luggage to be delivered to our hotel for warm clothes before we can go out

Pros: All in all, the seats had more legroom than I expected for economy. Much more than American airlines (AA, United, Delta). Love the direct flight as it saves so much time.
Cons: This was the 4th flight I have taken between LAX and Warsaw...but was the first time that there were no beer nor wine available in between meal services. On a 12-13 hour flight, this was a definite disappointment compared to my other experiences on LOT. The other concern was there were only two meals, and no snack service on a very long flight. This again stood out in contrast to the previous flights I have taken on LOT.

Only good note was the young lady who checked our bags in Warsaw and helped get our seats together (after the airline messed the seat assignment up in the first place). Ugh. This lie is based on leaving the middle seat empty. Otherwise teh torture is the same. In short I hope someone will sue the SOB that invented this concept and that was allowed to call this 'business class'. It is nothing short of a fraud.
