I sat in a window seat. The passenger next to me put a briefcase across the floor space access to the aisle and held a large laptop computer on her lap for the entire flight, including takeoff and landing. On my next flight the safety video stressed not doing this. The flight crew passed our seats several times without noting or correcting this...a major safety violation. This left me with the choice of alienating my seatmate or putting up with a safety hazard. I consider this gross negligence on the part of the flight crew.

They knew we were coming; they saw us at the Gate and left before the actual departure time!
There was another passenger (I found out later) and myself who were caught in exceptionally bad traffic in Kona getting to the airport. We both called in saying that we were minutes from the airport and letting them know we were coming and wanted to get on that 4:45 flight. Either the message was never given to the Flight Attendants or they ignored us, because the plane left at 4:41 PM with us trying to get in the gate! I asked if the seats were given to someone else; she said, "No, it left with empty seats". So what was the purpose of that? Then we were put on the 6:00 PM flight with all passengers there waiting to leave, but that flight didn't leave until 6:25 PM. Why so late? Why so early for the first flight? It was very frustrating!
