Got to counter 43 minutes before departure time (no security line, could have made it to gate 40 minutes before boarding time). Spirit Airlines staff refused to allow 13 passengers to board the flight, as we all stood there shocked. They said their systems do not allow them to print boarding passes within 45 mins of the flight. They probably had over-booked the flight. Everyone was entirely out the money, had to book new flights. Cost me and my wife $1,000."

Around midnight the airline sent me a $50 email voucher for each of us to rebook another flight with them. What a joke..."
