Cons: "Getting through security in Munich was a nightmare and I almost didn't make this flight. Luckily i had a friend that asked them to hold the plane but there seemed to be no communication that people from other flights were delayed getting to the gate. Very frustrating."

Cons: "Lufthansa lost 6 of our bags and left us with no information or compensation. I sent them emails but there is no response from customer service. Costed us $500 to buy things on emergency basis for our family and they delivered the bags after 2 days. This was very unprofessional and Lufthansa has to pay for it. Can you please help. Next time we will certainly have to avoid The airline as their gate transfer in Frankfurt is horrible with very rude security staff who has no interest helping our family to board the flight on tight connection. Instead the person decided to go on his break right when we were at the X-ray screening. How rude and unthoughtful."

First meal ( Turkey) had something in it that blowded me up all the way to Vancouver! Not sure if it was the vegetables or?? Not nice if you can't walk around and also not great for your neighbor to the right and left. I usually don't experience this with my food that I cook or choose."

Cons: "I had booked both flights at least 9 month in advance. Was not given a choice of seats for the short flight. In the past that has not been an issue. This time the four of us, including 2 children, were seated in the back of the plane separate from each other. Not cool."

Pros: "This was my first international flight, and also first on Lufthansa, and I was thoroughly impressed. We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Pros: "The coach seats were much more comfortable than Air Canada's. The flight was without incident. Staff were great! Accommodating, friendly and efficient! Incredible choices of movies, news, etc controlled by individual passenger."

Pros: "Check-in was quick, only 4 parties ahead of me even though I arrived at the airport only 60 minutes prior to departure. Cleared security quickly too. Aircraft new and clean. Breakfast, excellent omelet, and crew extremely attentive to our needs- offering 2 drinks instead of other airlines which just give one and makes you feel that is all you deserve."

For a flight duration of over ten hours, it was terrible to repeatedly have to negotiate space with them as they were spilling into my chair space. I also had to insist they not extend their legs into my foot well."

Food served in Economy on the international flight FROM US was terrible, and just a little better on all other flights that we took this time. But i noticed that food served on international destinations FROM US on any airline is terrible in general. Space between the seats is limited, very uncomfortable even for a petite woman. Child meals are too sweet, my kids ended up eating my salads, and part of my meal, because they didn't like their food. On the flight from US, kid's meal had 3 chocolate bars on top of other sweet things, which is too much. Give kids fruit bowl instead. I will not order child meal again."

Cons: "I couldn't use the entertainment pack because I didn't have it downloaded on my iPad. I was told to download it when we boarded onto the plain. But at that point i couldn't access wifi. The 7-hours flight could have been more memorable if I could access the entertainment pack."

I liked that they asked the person in front of me to put his seat up during the meal time. That helped me eat more comfortably. Entertainment options were extensive."
Cons: "Boarding was delayed and was tedious. It took forever because there was not an orderly line and just a jumble of people. We had to show our passports 3 different times between check in and boarding. People had put their passports away, then had to get them out again at the gate. That slowed everything down to a crawl. Our party was not accommodated when we asked for seats together. My husband and I were separated and we were separated from our kids. The ground crew did not seem to care. Take off was delayed, but the captain never told us why. The guy in front of me reclined his seat the whole time. I felt like a sardine in a can. So uncomfortable!"

Pros: "I was traveling with my mother who is handicap. The staff did so much to really help her. Although, the staff did everything and I mean everything to help us. TSA was an issue. Plus there was an language barrier."
Cons: "The assistant that they gave us was communicating with the TSA officer in Spanish who did not speak any English. The problem was she was over 75 and she does not have to remove her shoes. Instead of explaining to her what was going on she just took her shoes, which made my mother upset mad."

Pros: "Lots of food and wine/beer were provided at no additional cost and the first checked bag was free as is standard with British Airways. Basically I liked that American Airlines followed British Airways standards for the flight."
Cons: "There were no personal entertainment devices, just a central tv for everyone to watch, and there were no charging outlets. The plane was probably from a museum it was so old. After boarding we sat in the plane without moving to the runway for 30 minutes just making the 8 hour flight even longer. The gate at the Lisbon airport was overly small and restrictive with everyone crammed in and unable to leave after initially entering."

Pros: "We were very well looked after by a group of male flight attendants. The plane was clean, calm, quiet and we had all we needed."

Cons: "I purchased a WiFi pass and the WiFi did not work. Since the airplane does not have individual TV’s on each seat, it makes it for a very long flight. I also did not like that the passengers had to take a bus to the airplane and we’re shoved like sardines in a can in 95 degree weather."

Cons: "This flight was delayed by almost 5 hours. While I understand there are some delays sometimes, this was the ONLY flight to Greensboro out of DCA, and the times kept changing throughout the day, even though the gate agents knew that the issue was that the crew was delayed. There should be backup crew available and when there are delays, the passengers should be kept informed. There should be other flight options available when this happens. I never received an apology from anyone I encountered throughout the process, and some personnel were rude even though I was polite."

Pros: "Upon learning that our flight was delayed, the flight attendants brought out snacks and water right away."
Cons: "They started a movie, then restarted the same one an hour into it. After it ended, they played a second movie and cut it off half way to show other programming. Who would bother with a movie knowing only a part of it is being shown? That is disrespectful of our time. Boarding was a mess- everyone at once, most bags put below with luggage even though most overhead compartments were empty."

Cons: "the tremendous pressure from the staff, at the American Airlines. Never before experience such a low and virtually feel like an inmate, Just because the person in doing so, was profiling and that is NO GOOD , also the airport is filthy and dirty , Nobody Cares...I will not come again as a tourist to that country.. American Airlines should train the staff to be more courteous and not to ask that many questions ..it feels like you where in Siberia.."

Cons: "7.5 hr flight from Lisbon to Philadelphia on a dingy old plane that looks like it hasn’t been retrofitted in close to 20 years, with no charging ports for electronics, which seems insane in this day and age, especially for such long flights. Had no in-seat entertainment systems either, and only offered news and sports on the American wi-fi service — not their usual lineup of movies and TV."

Cons: "The flight was delayed and then the airport in Philadelphia "wasn't aware" that we were coming to it took forever to get off the plane. I would have missed my next flight if they didn't wait for us. Also I couldn't check in online beforehand, which was frustrating. Also I waited in line at the British Airways desk to check in and it was a long line. When I finally got to the front I was told I had to check in at the American Airlines desk and I wish I had been told that earlier. One staff member was rude when I asked him to repeat the food options."

Cons: "The outdated plane had no plug in capability. No Gogo or individual in flight entertainment. The food was most inedible, the vegetarian snack was a hard baguette with old sliced tomatoes and wilted lettuce. I couldn’t eat most of what was served because it was so terrible."

Pros: "Three beer and three wine selection made the flight go by quicker. Food was better than expected based on pasta or shepherd's pie options."
Cons: "Full flight with uncomfortable seats, no tv/movies at each seat. Our AA four-hour flight after this was much nicer, with in flight entertainment. What?! I haven't flown on an international flight without entertainment at each seat in 10 years... And I have flown to over 40 countries since then."

Result was a dead sprint to Charleston gate where no attempt to hold the plane for those passengers. Also, a black, middle-aged woman with short hair working the ticket counter had the personality of a piece of cardboard with zero responsiveness. AA should reconsider who it places to interact with the general public."

For over $1000/ticket I was extremely disappointed with the quality. Extremely cramped and uncomfortable. Will not be flying with American Airlines again and I suggest you do the same."

This after AA had turned my flight on the way out around on the way from Austin to Paris and we had to spend the night in Chicago."

The boarding process was a bit crazed, we were put on buses in no particular priority order and dropped off at the plane to all board at the same time!"

Cons: "This flight was five hours late. there was an exchange of four planes before United could provide one that did not need maintenance. When it was time to board there was a last minute gate change to a different terminal. Surely United must have known of this hours in advance."

Cons: "Why would United use a 757 when they know that if the plane is full and there is a strong headwind that the fuel capacity won't get them to their destination! Of course this happened to me. We were diverted to Newfoundland to refuel (after spending 3 hours sitting on the tarmac while the captain arranged to redirect). THEN... the flight crew had been working too long and they had to send another crew which took 4 extra hours. 17 hours from Lisbon to Newark is unacceptable! It could have all been avoided with a larger plane."

We had to stay a night in Dallas and traverse all over the airport between American and Untied to chase down our vouchers for luggage, dinner, and rooms. Exhausting. We had to travel two hours in an old mini van from Columbia to St. Louis to even get started on our vacation flights. We did not have a pleasant experience with United on either side of the trip."

Cons: "Not UAL's fault, but airports are a hassle, little space for carry on since the big charges for checking luggage, etc. I now fly as seldom as possible."

Cons: "We where delayed for two hours or so, if you asked upon arrving during what should have been boarding you got a curt remark no information. There way no anouncement about a delay just one that the crew arrived, nothing about why we where delayed or estimation of time when we would board. Other delayed fights where getting information over the loud speaker. The attendants left the area came back when we could board and hurded us on the plane. Not a friendly face or smile. Everyone was tired, a little civility would have gone a long way"

Pros: "Service was very friendly and supportive."
Cons: "Food was not great. Touch screen for entertainment was extremely unresponsive and difficult to use"

Pros: "Timely...and pilots updates of flight time"

Cons: "2 hour plus delay. After we boarded an additional delay due to maintenance paperwork. I missed part of a work meeting because of this."

Pros: "How quickly and effecient our flight arrived to each airport!"

Cons: "United economy plus seat is terribly uncomfortable on the neck. It protrudes it out. I was stuck between two large guys and was uncomfortable the entire flight."

Pros: "New, clean United planes! Happy crew! Snacks!"

Cons: "So we arrived at the desk after a 7hr international flight ready for the final 1hr leg - only to be confronted with "flight overbooked" looking for 9 volunteers - how can you over book a 40 seat flight by 9 ???? So we had an anxious wait wondering if we'd be dumped from the flight - we weren't but it wasn't enjoyable waiting for the flight and our meeting with our grand kids."

Pros: "the food & drinks kept coming and coming....it was great"
Cons: "-2 delays for 2 different reasons -Lisbon airport makes you leave the boarding area once you are all settled to recheck your passport & boarding pass. very strange"

Pros: "I'm handicapped and the help getting from terminal to terminal. The people were very helpful."
Cons: "I have metal leg braces. I had to remove them to get in the seat. So the flight was uncomfortable. It would be nice if the plane could have handicapped seating.I know I wouldn't have minded paying a little more for comfortable seating."

Pros: "Finally got us on the plane after a 6 hour delay. They decided to "update" the computer software on the plane after they had us all on there. Took about 90 minutes. Very displeased, will do my best avoid United in the future"

Cons: "Very rude stewards and sat on Tarmac for 1 hr 30 mins after arrival on overheated plane."

Pros: "Flight departed and arrived on time. Flight attendants were courteous. Boarding was quick."
