The original round trip was $900. I declined, sat down for 15 min booked another Lufthansa flight online for $800, checked in and was through security by 5:50. Just in time for my original flights last call. I could have made it easily. Boooo Lufthansa booo."

We traveled with another couple who've flown internationally multiple times, but this was their first Lufthansa flight as well, and they said it's the best they'd had. The crew were all excellent, friendly, and accommodating. There was plenty of entertainment options, refreshments, and snacks. The food was very good-much better than I'd expected. I appreciated that there were pillows, blankets, and headphones readily available as well. I'll try to fly Lufthansa every chance I get when flying internationally."

Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

It is so annoyingly dishonest, considering that the flight is announced as on-time up until minutes before the departure time. When all along they know the incoming flight is late. After we boarded the plane at origin, we spent 15 minutes at the gate and quite a bit on the runway. When nearing the DCA, the plane took a complete detour went near Baltimore and then Annapolis and then flew back to near Gaithersburg as if it was intentionally wasting time on the air. Upon landing in DCA we had to wait 15 minutes on the taxiway waiting for the gate to clear. The (one hour long) flight that was scheduled to land at 10:20pm landed just before midnight. Air Canada is awful. This happens every time I fly with Air Canada and their conduct is just cheap and dishonest."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and helpful. Very efficient with check in process. This leg of flight was operated by TAP."
Cons: "No online check in. Long line to check in. Plane was 30 mins. Late leaving and then had to wait ten minutes to offload. This made us very late for connecting flight which We just made as they closed the door behind us. People that were slower getting through customs did not make the connection."
Pros: "Our flight was delayed an hour and a half about 18 hours before takeoff which was communicated to us before we got to the airport, so we got to sleep in later. We were unable to make our connecting flight because of the delay, but when we arrived in Toronto I had an email waiting to tell me that they had put us on another flight, which was direct, that would get us home at the same time we had been originally scheduled. The agent that we talked to once we got to Toronto also tried to get us on standby to another flight that would have gotten us home two hours earlier! Also, our bags made it home too after all of the changing! Great service, nice to have a charging station on board and the food was edible."

Cons: "Where do I start? Maybe by saying that I'm really not a complainer. I'm really not. I know there are understandable, although not always pleasant, occurences and situations that cause or contribute to things. But this shuttle flight was a disaster of poor airline planning. The 1.5 hour flight kept getting delayed again and again and again. The assigned gate got changed 4 times and we found ourselves having to walk with our bags from one to another. It finally took off at 12:30 at night with an ORIGINAL departure time of either 8:40 or thereabouts. You're talking about a 4 hour delay. Weather? Raining, but nothing that was serious. It was just, well, raining. No explanation was ever given for the delay although, uhh, complimentary bags of pretzels were handed out. I felt bad for the ground and flight crew. They had to deal with us less-than-pleased passengers and, really, the delay was beyond their control. Which leads me to believe poor scheduling by Air Canada of available planes was a reason. It was all very, very bad and, given a previous flight 10 days ago that took 5 hours instead of the scheduled 1.5, we'll never use Air Canada again."

Cons: "Air Canada Oversold my flight, the process of reaching my destination was incredibly painful and uncertain. For example -at one point an Air Canada service representative provided me with a ticket for my original flight with a seat assignment however when I tried to board the aircraft the gate agent confiscated the ticket and then destroyed it advising that I was not supposed to get a seat. Air Canada gate agents and check in staff were visibly struggling with the computer booking/reservation system at multiple points throughout this process. For example - at one point my bag was checked on a flight that I was not on and the gate agent openly expressed disbelief and concern that it was happening outside their control... very concerning."

I made it in plenty of time for my connecting flight but airline had just decided. No staff member was interested in answering my questions or helping. They all just wanted to sod off home. they just didn't care."

My seat light switch didn't function neither did the jack on the entertainment system (unless one held it in exactly the right way while watching. I lasted 1 1/2 hours before I gave up. So I spent 2 hours dealing with being able to fly with Air Canada before I even got on the plane. I'm switching."
