The flight attendants were very pleasant & efficient. They only served snacks on this short flight but were very good at ensuring everyone had at least one or more beverages. The premium seats were very comfortable ."

Pros: "I needed to run real fast to the connection flight and gladly got there on time."
Pros: "Service and staff"
Pros: "Was able to comfortably sleep the whole trip back."
Cons: "Nothing, just filling this in to continue........."
Pros: "Checking bags at the gate and picking them up at the gate on arrival"
Pros: "We were two for two on not being able to understand the gate agents announcements. Please keep in mind that not everyone flies frequently. I'm convinced that the routine of the job blinds both the TSA and airline employees to this fact. Clear and concise instructions would be great, regulars will continue to ignore you. So no harm, no foul."
Pros: "Seats were comfortable. Snacks!!! Nice flight crew."
Cons: "I liked everything."
Cons: "requirement to wait for seat assignment until at the gate"
Pros: "I fly non Rev so it's great to fly economy comfort for free"
Cons: "Seats were available so not a bad experience. Sometimes not knowing if I'll make the flight is unnerving. It's worth it however for the flight benefit I book directly through Delta so very curious how and why Kayak is requesting this survey"
Pros: "Flight attendants were extremely nice to my baby and me. Didn't feel rushed. Nice variety of snacks."
Pros: "Delta fo"
Pros: "The flight being on time, friendly staff, clean aircraft.i"
Cons: "It was a morning flight from Toronto to Omaha via Minneapolis and unfortunately coffee wasn't served. Or maybe it got over."
Pros: "Crew was very professional and friendly."
Cons: "Seats are too close together."
Cons: "They delayed the takeoff because of catering, really over a half hour because you wanted to sell more sandwiches. So you make us late and the poor people who had connecting flight, it just does not make sense."
Pros: "On time and courteous staff"
Pros: "Snacks were readily available; gate and flight attendants were friendly and accomodating."
Cons: "Free in-flight entertainment required an app to play, need for which was not advertised at all. Flight on United earlier in the month included announcements to download their app before takeoff. Customer service ahead of flight was a mixed bag. One assistant was went out of her way to help quickly and then comped a fee after I waited ~30 mins and then explained why we'd need assistance at the gate that she could not provide. A previous assistant was not able to provide this explanation."
Cons: "Plane was sat broken at gate and needed part to be flown in. 150 minutes delayed. Not acceptable."
Pros: "Friendly crew"
Cons: "Had the seat at the very back, which made engine sounds loud for most of the trip"
Pros: "The entertainment was good and we didn't get charged for the blankets, as in other airlines, though it would have been nice not have needed them, the plane felt colder than 70 degrees!"
Cons: "Longer delay occurred when another passenger got into an argument with staff. It took soooo long for security to come to fix the situation so we could continue boarding. We were also packed in like sardines. I would pay more for more room, though business and first class are available, they're way too much."
Pros: "Everything was just as I have come to expect -- efficient, polite, and courteous crewe"
Pros: "Delta is the best airline to use because they care about you as a customer. They will do everything they can to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. I would not recommend any other airline to use but DELTA !!"
Cons: "Nothing to input. All was great."
Cons: "According to the website and documentation a card holder is supposed to get the first bag free when using this card. I did not, so I will be cancelling the card."
Cons: "Takeoff was delayed approx 4 hours which made me miss my connection and prolonged the whole travel day."
Pros: "friendly courteous staff"
Cons: "didn't have the tapas box, or the crave box or any food box for sale...the flight attendant did give me extra cookies and pretzels"
Pros: "Good heads up to turbulence."
Pros: "New plane with plenty of overhead storage space, on flight entertainment system has many options"
Cons: "pressure in cabin on decent was bad, my ears hurt (which only seems to happen on some flights)."
Pros: "Very friendly and helpful staff."
Cons: "I am a 5'3" 125# woman who, unfortunately, had a middle seat assignment. The passenger to my right, on the aisle, weighed approximately 375# and took up 1/3 of my seat. The arm was not able to go down comfortably, and when it did it was not usable . The passenger on my left, window seat, was probably 6'7" and had to sit with a man spread in order to fit. I could not move and was extremely uncomfortable. The plane was overbooked so I was unable to move. Therefore, worst flight ever. Plus, I paid for a full seat and was only able to occupy half of it."
Pros: "The crews were very friendly and everything went as planned. It was a nice flight."
Pros: "I made it home."
Cons: "1. 1.5 hour delay on a 70-degree, sunny day. 2. all of the outlets in the gate area to charge devices during the delay -- and 90% of them didn't work!!!! It's almost better not to design new seating with outlets between seats, when the outlets don't work -- neither did the ones on the walls. People were lined up for the ONE wall outlet that did work."
Pros: "I liked everything."
Pros: "Everything went smoothly. We landed early and the crew was lovely to fly with."
Cons: "No complaints from me!"
Pros: "Boarding was a breeze and the staff at Delta was nice and courteous along with being clear for boarding zone instructions. Haven't had a problem yet with Delta! Also the pilot was great at landing so it was not as jerky as some flights I have been on."
Cons: "No complaints!"
Pros: "Both flights landed early. Flight attendants were excellent and very helpful."
Cons: "Small plane to Minneapolis with one bathroom and the flight to sna didn't have my request for a gluten free meal."
Pros: "The time traveled to get to my destination! It would not be my choice if I was to fly again."
Cons: "The customer service. The flight attendants needs to take some more training on how to provide a better service to paying customers. The seemed a bit unfriendly!"
Pros: "Reminds of when air travel was a special event. The Salt Lake based crew was awesome. Cost to upgrade to 1st definitely worth it."
Cons: "Everything was great."
Pros: "Leg room was great compared to discount airlines. The built in entertainment for individualized interests was welcome. Crew was great."
Pros: "Friendly crew, navigation around storm, comfortable flight"
Cons: "On time"
Cons: "Economy seating was cramped and painful. I sat in a window seat and couldn't hardly move freely enough to get my seatbelt on; and I am a petite female!!"
Pros: "Very smooth"
Pros: "love to fly delta"
Cons: "don't like when they ask to check bags at gate"
Pros: "Service was good. Attendants polite. Information good."
Pros: "Onboarding was easy and smooth. The plane was clean and the seats were comfortable. WiFi easily connected, too. Much better than expected for a budget airline."
Pros: "Nothing. Delayed for 4 hours. No time change updates were ever provided at the airport. No communications provided as to why our flight was delayed. No other options given. No food or drink vouchers given & of course, no discounts provided for future travel. Not that would EVER fly Sun Country again"
Cons: "Communication and updates. At the very least, food and drink vouchers. 4 hours is a LONG time to be delayed. Extra points had the airline reimbursed their $40 ONE WAY bag fee regardless whether it’s a carry on or checked luggage."
Cons: "It was delayed 3 hours due to rain that lasted about 30 minutes"
Pros: "Not crowded, and enough space"
Cons: "My luggage was lost"
Pros: "I got to change my seat"
Cons: "The flight attendants were rude. Our flight was delayed and we were not updated nor given a reason as to why."
Pros: "It was on time. I could select my seats."
Cons: "All the extra expenses."
Pros: "On time departures, friendly service"
Cons: "seats not the most comfortable"
Pros: "Offered Gluten Free Items in flight and could rent entertainment via tablets."
Cons: "Not enough leg room"
Pros: "Good trip."
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "Friendly and helpful staff from check in to curbside. Baggage claim very fast, yet not distructive. Diffinitely use Suncountry whenever possible."
Cons: "Online booking not user friendly. Had questions needing live personnel, and nearly impossible to do so."
Pros: "Direct flight"
Cons: "Delays before we boarded, plus delays after we boarded. Communication about what caused the delay seemed like an afterthought."
Pros: "on time , nice and friendly crew"
Pros: "All great!"
Pros: "We made it home alive, stewards smiled a lot"
Cons: "No one at desk for check in, then when boarding there was a man standing in the aisle that would not allow me to pass, I had an infant in my arms but he refused to move even after multiple requests. I had to squeeze past him. When plane was fully boarded he started to vomit. He vomited multiple times before we started moving. Steward asked him if he was okay to fly and he did not answer, just nodded a bit. He continued to vomit, was unable to use the bag properly, he appeared highly intoxicated. He vomited into the aisle and all over our shoes and pant legs and carry on bags. We told the stewards who went and grabbed a package of paper towels and shoved them at us. They moved the passengers on the other side of him up to the front of the plane but said nothing to us. No one apologized. Twice we were told our baby was the baby of the year but that was the only remark."
Pros: "The employees were so attentive & caring. Very accommodating. Was pleasantly surprised."
Pros: "My active duty husband was unable to travel with me due to work obligations. With my dependent military ID, the Sun Country representative allowed my bag to be a couple of pounds overweight without charging me extra. I could have taken things out to hand carry, but this was so appreciated, as I know it's not the standard practice without the active duty sponsor accompanying me. I spoke with a couple of other fliers on our seats who were also flying Sun Country for the first time. We all agreed that all the representatives were polite. It made the experience good and we all agreed we would fly with them again."
Cons: "My flight was delayed 30 minutes with no explanation by the crew."
Pros: "Crew was very nice and helpful. Lots of leg room"
Cons: "The flight departed 30 minutes late."
Cons: "Held over an hour on both flights to fix mechanical problems on these very old planes..i won't be flying again"
Pros: "Excellent crew. Friendly, accommodating."
Pros: "Sun Country is the best airline in the world -"
Pros: "Scheduling worked great"
Pros: "The San Francisco based crew and customer service was very welcoming, friendly and accommodating."
Cons: "On the return flight (out of their hub airport!), their online system failed so it didn't capture that we had prepaid both our checked bags nor our seat selection. When we arrived at the ticketing counter they were essentially accusational about the issue. We showed the confirmation page on our cell phone and even logged into our mobile banking app to show them and still had to argue about paying again. On top of that, they acknowledged the system was having issues and would do absolutely nothing to help us get seats together (my husband and I), let alone anywhere near what we had selected during the online check-in process (we paid extra for an aisle and middle towards the front of the plane, and they gave us two middle seats in the back of the cabin). There were four empty seats in first class, and they wouldn't even bump up a frequent flyer to give us seats together in coach. Not once did anyone apologize, ask how they could help, or just try to be helpful. Both "managers" were clearly poorly trained in handling these situations and defensive and dismissive (walking away while we were speaking). They didn't even offer a free meal voucher. Nothing was done to help rectify the situation. It was honestly shocking how terrible of an experience it was - no indication that they felt we were a paying customer. There were so many little things they could have done even without changing our seats that would have made the situation better. I will never fly this airline again, out of principle, and will absolutely share my experience with everyone I know. If someone from Sun Country reads this, the managers' names are Oniekey Brown and Jolynn Carpenter. I would suggest your management chain have a conversation with both of them and highly suggest training."
Pros: "Nothing. The experience was awful"
Cons: "The flight got delayed by over 4 hours without explaination as to why. There was no one to ask at the counter. When I called the number they said the wait time was 30 mins to speak with a Rep. As I was waiting and automated system started talking, saying the reason you have a longer wait than expected time is because Sun Country is trying to incorporate new innovations. You're reaction might be it's crazy and you're right it is. After all this I waited quietly the rest of the evening. Came time for on boarding, the team was highly UNTRAINED. I watched them switched TWO mothers with infants from line tonline multiple times the lines got out of control people were literally jumping lines. No sense of leadership nor organization. Literally take this as a warning from someone who has had multiple bad experiences with the same airlines in the last year and half. I am done with Sun Country!"
Pros: "Crew were great, seat sizes were comfortable & overheads were bigger than other domestic airlines (a small thing that made a big difference to boarding)."
Cons: "A complimentary snack would have been nice."
Cons: "I usually pre-check in, but I know you're working on your system currently, so it wasn't a big deal. Just had to stand in the check-in line and I didn't have bags to check, so the additional time I needed to spend at the airport to check in was all I didn't like."
Pros: "Everything was expeditious, staff was courteous and the flight went smooth. Thanks Sun Country Air!"
Pros: "Seamless onboarding and check in."
Cons: "Not much leg room on plane, no snacks"
Pros: "If you show up without a seat assignment, (which you pay for) they will assign you a seat. If you're lucky it's exit row. If you're not, it's middle near the toilet"
Cons: "Buckled and dimed for any extras"
Pros: "Crew is excellent."
Cons: "Need check-in kiosks where you can print boarding pass without waiting in line. I checked in online but couldn't print my pass because I don't have a printer. I still had to wait in line like everyone else who hadn't yet checked in at both airports and wasn't checking a bag either. Delta sends the boarding pass right to your phone."
Pros: "Everything was on time and there were no problems."
Cons: "Narrow seats. Not even a snack on the flight? You can however buy lunch if you want to."
Cons: "Very uncomfortable overnight flight."
Pros: "Staff was good and accommodating and kept us informed."
Cons: "We had a four hour delay in JFK. Delay caused by equipment issue. There was no effort to do any service recovery. No meal ticket, not a complimentary sandwich on the plane, nothing. Landing was unnerving as plane had to do go around for what pilot suggested as an aircraft on runway (pilot terminology for poor approach)."
Pros: "The luggage fee is reasonable. The flight was on-time. Spacious seat."
Cons: "The luggage fee is cheaper when paid on-line, but when I tried to pay on-line, an error message popped up. I ended up paying at the registered desk which is $10 more."
Pros: "Everyone from checking to flight crews really seemed to care about making it a nice flight -- warm, gracious, considerate. This is a throwback to the way main line airlines were in the 70s and 80s before they turned into cattle cars. Seats seem bigger than in mainline airlines also. Overall, great value and a civilized experience."
Pros: "This was the first time I flew Sun Country. I travel a lot for business and they were great. I would certainly fly them again."
Cons: "My partner and I didnt get to sit together and they couldn't move us around. The gentleman flight serverwas rude and Walked briskly and hit my leg a few times. The people around us were very large and I couldnt put down the arm divider and the overweight women in front of me had to recline her seat to fit which left me less room for the flight. Overweight people should have to pay for two tickets or ride a bus"
Pros: "Reasonable schedule for us."
Cons: "Price too high and seats too close together."
Pros: "That it left on time and the boarding was smooth. Nice crew!"
Cons: "Seat 19D was not working properly, but it wasn't much of an issue. I did alert a flight attendant. This was for Flight 386 from RSW to MSP departed 7:35p.m. on the 6th of April."
Cons: "There was the rudest flight attendant I ever experienced. I don't like hte way baggage is handled. I wish there were food and free entertainment but it is horrible just the way all American airlines are these days. The flight attendant was unusually bad, however, even for the USA."
Pros: "THANK YOU to Sun Country for noticing there was a problem with TSA at the Phoenix airport. TSA only had one person checking ID's and a Sun Country employee came and "resuced me" out of this extremely slow moving line. If this had not happened I would have missed my flight for sure! In Summary: Sun Country Rating = Above Excellent! TSA Rating = Below Poor"
Cons: "TSA's inability to react to the need for more help checking people through security."
Pros: "Friendly staff with good service drinks and snacks."
Cons: "Old warn out seats not of a nice design"
Cons: "The flight from SFO to MSP was delayed due to weather. The ticket agent told me that I would miss the connection to Miami, but that they would put me on another flight that day. When I arrived at MSP, I discovered that I was the only passenger to MIA who had not been re-routed and that the next flight on Sun Country to Miami was four days later. The gate agent at MSP sat me aside while all other passengers who missed connections to other destinations were re-ticketed. After that process, the gate agent made several calls and eventually, refunded my fare on Sun Country. At that point, the only other direct flight from MSP on any airline (and the only other flight that would arrive at MIA at a reasonable hour) was leaving in approximately one hour. I was able to purchase the last seat on that Delta flight for about double the amount of my Sun Country ticket. I then had to go find my bag that was checked to MIA, change terminals, purchase the ticket, negotiate my way through security and run to the gate to barely make the flight. This was my first flight on Sun Country and probably my last. The incompetence of the SFO ticket agent caused a significant disruption to my travel experience and resulted in a significant financial penalty for me because of the ticket price differential between my original Sun Country fare and the last minute Delta purchase. I have been flying for many years and this was, by far, my worst flight experience ever."
Pros: "Excellent flight crew and staff. Easy boarding even though we had to take a bus into the tarmack. It was a great flight! Thanks!"
Cons: "They were out of food for purchase at the bit to get another flight it was never restocked"
Pros: "The crew is always pleasant(my fav of any airline because they are so nice and genuine, don't seem overburdened or like they hate their jobs), I love that there's seats open so it doesn't feel crowded(I know you don't want to hear that, I'm not likely to pay much more to keep it that way but I appreciate nonetheless) and that "media" is an option instead of a requirement(by not being in the back of the seat in front of me, but instead as a device). I travel for work, and I REALLY appreciate the moment to unplug. I've been traveling with you exclusively for my last 5 trips and I will continue to do so. Thanks for being low-cost and awesome at the same time!"
Cons: "I'd like more options than Cheeseburgers as your inflight food. I have a soy allergy(so I can't have things like mayo, most breads or most salad dressings-so simpler food is better), but I also appreciate healthier types of foods. Grilled chicken sandwiches with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions or turkey sandwich with the same(but dressings on the side). Most importantly, breads without soy products would be awesome :)"
Pros: "Great trip for super cheap! $139 from Boston to San Francisco can't be beat. Everyone was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Food options were weak, pack your own!"
Pros: "missed my flight and got another one at the same day with no extra fees. i really appreciate this."
Pros: "This was the first time we flew. There was no food provided. The drinks were good though - we had tomato juice. Low waste stream was appreciated (no individual aluminum cans. Attendants were nice and accommodating."
Cons: "Two complaints: 1. We printed out our boarding passes a day in advance and we had seat assignments for 10A and B. When we were boarding, the attendant said there was a problem and told us to step over to the desk. They printed new boarding passes with seats 24A and B. No explanation. We were happier with the first seats. 2. The onflight safety information stunk. The non-visual recording was blasting our eardrums and went On and On and On and On... The instructions for what to do if you have an infant, in an emergency was simply ludicrous. You need to provide a video with very clear and concise instructions as other airlines do. That works very well."
Pros: "I had a window seat, and nobody in the seat next to me, so it was easy to relax and fall asleep for an early morning flight."
Cons: "Made it a smaller flight. It was a lot of people on the plane! We could not practice social distancing"
Cons: "Flight was delayed several hours due to an issue with the plane. Didn't get to our destination until close to 2am."
Cons: "This is the second American Airlines flight we have had in less than two months where there was an issue with the plane and multiple delays lasting hours. I understand delays happen, but we've had two late evening flights turn into red-eyes while traveling with one of our children. Will not be flying American Airlines again."
Cons: "Baggage claim was terribly slow and we were director the wrong carousel."
Cons: "The delays due to software"
Pros: "All was good"
Cons: "Nothing to complain about."
Cons: "I will never, ever book with Kayak again"
Pros: "Busy but kind stewardesses"
Cons: "Please offer another snack option besides carboard flavored pretzels."
Cons: "Flight was delayed for more than 4 hours with little communication from staff as to why, gate was changed to a gate across the airport."
Pros: "This is such a quick flight, and the staff made it quite easy."
Cons: "My in Flight Wi-Fi did not work. Not a huge deal, because it's such a quick flight, but it is a little Annoying, and may have just been a bad day for the system."
Cons: "Tight seating"
Pros: "short flight, crew was nice"
Cons: "left 40 min late due to a communication error deciding what crew would work the plane. didn’t find out why the flight was delayed until airborne."
Pros: "The touch down at MSP. Was sitting over the wing and barely felt it."
Cons: "Was told carry on needed to be checked because there wasn't any more overhead room for my 9X14X16. So then I had to dig through it at the gate to remove lithium batteries and it took an additional 20+ minutes at MSP to get to baggage claim/wait/claim bag. There was plenty of room in overhead storage for my bag."
Pros: "Reliable and efficient."
Cons: "It took a while for the luggage to be delivered to the claim area, but it was very late in the day so I guess it is to be expected."
Pros: "Crew was friendly and provided good service."
Cons: "Seats are very small. Boarding process could be improved. Seems some people board out of sequence and it screws up the process of stowing luggage and getting to your assigned seat. These same people bring in large over sized bags that will not fit in the above compartment or underneath the seat. Charging these individuals for these violations would deter them from engaging in this behavior. You might also want to add to your instructions how to disembark the plane, some individuals think their schedule is more important and rush up the isle in front of others who are trying to get their carry on luggage from the overhead compartment. Losers!!"
Pros: "I really like having the ability to upgrade to a more roomy seat the most. I am 6 foot 1in and leg room is so very important to me when i fly, it the difference between a good experience and a great experience. For just a few more dollars i was able to enjoy a great flight."
Cons: "I don't like not having the movies to watch on the back of the seats, although i do understand the cost cutting reasons. It's not a problem, just saying."
Cons: "it was an hour late"
Pros: "Actually, I like that it was late because my first flight arrived late. The flight overall was very quick and smooth."
Cons: "The seats were covered in crumbs from the previous flight, but that's probably because of the hurry to get passengers on to the next flight because the plane was late."
Cons: "The handle for the window shade was torn off"
Pros: "Again the wheel chair attendant was helpful, patient and considering we were not feeling well, assisted us at customs. We are seasoned travelers and this is not usually how our travels usually go. We appreciated the wheelchair services, the flight attendants."
Pros: "The in-flight snack and the flight attendants on the flight were great."
Cons: "I tried to standby for an earlier flight on a first class ticket but I was told that's almost impossible as people waiting for upgrades have priority over me, so they may be able to get me a seat but in Economy. So, AA has no problem having a First Class ticketed passenger traveling in Economy and ticketed Economy passengers flying in First Class. Well, I do have a problem with that and didn't stand for it."
Cons: "Could not read paper when passenger in front reclined seat. No space between rows."
Cons: "My flight was actually processed under American Airlines. Oddly, the confirmation email stated it was Finnair."
Pros: "The departure time. This left enough time to get to the airport and go through security without rushing!"
Cons: "Sitting in the middle Paying for luggage ( I wish Southwest flew out of ORD)"
Pros: "Fast flight"
Cons: "Due to two flight delays, I traveled an additional 24 hours, on top of my 20 hour original flight. Albuquerque Airline staff were rude, dismissive, incompetent, and each individual I spoke with gave me wildly differing information. The two delays (leading to approximately 48 hours of travel) would have been stressful enough, but the callous, ignorant and unprofessional attitudes of American Airlines staff (and staff in general at Chicago O'Hare Airport) really disappointed me. This was even more striking compared with the professional service I received from British Airways (from whom I purchased the tickets). I was ashamed that my country could lag so far behind in terms of basic customer service and problem solving."
Pros: "Hospitality, service, flight, and crew!"
Cons: "Requested for wheelchair assistance but none provided?!!"
Pros: "Timing and transit time was excellent"
Cons: "Two hour delay due to mechanical issue was a showstopper."
Cons: "Food was horribe and no dedicated tv per seat"
Cons: "My flight was canceled."
Cons: "We were delayed for 6 hours due to a maintenance issue. Horrible customer service"
Cons: "Always a problem with these guys"
Cons: "Same as above but I missed a whole day with my relatives at the lake :("
Cons: "I am very disappointed in my flight. I am 6'7 and paid for an exit row seat. When I got to the airport they gave me a different seat with no leg room. They told me they changed planes and there was nothing they could do to help me. I tried again at the gate and again nothing. Will never fly again."
Cons: "The flight attendants were rude, they had no dinner, no healthy breakfast options, they rationed the beverages and after being without enough water for 12 hours, they would give you dirty looks when you asked for a second serving of plain water."
Pros: "Room on flight in coach was sufficient and im 6 ft 2"
Pros: "The entertainment was pretty good . There was a good variety of movies and music"
Cons: "the cabin was extremely small, absolutely no leg dpace unless you were in first class, specially if you are a taller person."
Pros: "Overall pleasant experience."
Cons: "I was not aware that the FinnAir flight was being handled by American. I missed it when reading my itinerary and had a brief panic when I showed up to the international terminal and my flight was not even listed on the board. Perhaps it could be written a little larger? Thanks."
Pros: "Good value"
Cons: "Poor food quality"
Cons: "That small space!! This is a long flight and you have no room to move around at all!!!!!"
Pros: "Appreciated that the cre didn't wake me to give me my landing card. They did make sure I got one though."
Cons: "I didn't get vegetarian food that I ordered over the phone and I did made sure that it said vegetarian Jain meal on the ticket that I printed. Very disappointed because no point ordering then. I paid $1234 for the trip. And I am traveling because of funeral."
Cons: "Seats too tight. No room"
Cons: "This was without a doubt the worst flight experience of my life. The flight was delayed over 8 hours, forcing all travelers to sleep in cots until 3:30am because there was no pilot available which seemed absolutely ludicrous, especially considering the fact that it was not the only AA flight to Minneapolis that didn't have a pilot. The gate staff could have cared less about the extent to which we were all inconvenienced by this...and there was no option of compensation available except for a measly voucher for dinner at 12pm after all the restaurants were closed. I spent hours on the phone with "customer service representatives" and they also had nothing to offer in terms of vouchers or any form of polite compensation for this HUGE inconvenience. Needless to say, I will not be flying American Airlines after being treated like this."
Pros: "Food, entertainment and free checked bag. Can ask for more!"
Pros: "In flight service."
Cons: "The first check in kiosk associate was turning us away because we reached 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure. However, by then they knew that they were going to be at least 1 hour 30 minute late. Then when kayak emailed us about the delay, the check in people let us in. Ultimately the flight was three hours late."
Pros: "Boarding was fast and efficient. We left on time and arrived early."
Cons: "You have to pay for carry-on and/or checked luggage and the space in seats in very cramped, particularly for legs."
Cons: "Not much"
Pros: "It didn't break down midair."
Cons: "Thee most hard seats ever. City busses are more comfortable. I travel often and this was a very last minute trip so I booked it, I've never seen seats like that on a plane. The tray table is super tiny, I'm a 5'9 woman and my knees were almost touching the seat in front of me while I was sitting. Both flights were delayed for maintence issues. Plane was extremely, old, worn and dirty. Thankfully it was only an hour and a half flight but I'm still sore it was so uncomfortable. I literally think inmates transferring prisons would receive more comfortable accommodations."
Pros: "Hot flight attendant baggage fees not included in ticket price bullshit! Could fly deta for the same price"
Pros: "Crew was friendly"
Cons: "Constant delays, poor communication about delays."
Pros: "Very nice crew."
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "The fact that the flight was delayed 2 hours."
Pros: "Initial flight rate was good. Come to find out too good to be sure. However, on my return flight to MN, the wheelchair didn't come & our pilot went & got a chair & he pushed me up to the lobby. What a Guy! Stewardesses were also very thoughtful."
Cons: "Good ticket price but then had to pay for my seat, checked luggage & snack & drink. $2.99 for a can of Coke!"
Pros: "I think was awful."
Cons: "The hidden fees. I thought I was getting a good deal. All the fees made it more expensive than other options. I feel like i got swindled. will never fly with Fronteir again."
Pros: "On time, arrived early."
Cons: "No frills flying, but couldn't beat the price."
Cons: "there was a hour wait on the run way. it was hot people were cranky, secondly I have never been on a airline that you literally have to pay for everything including soda and coffee. the landing was very rough. I was not impressed."
Pros: "Nice price for airfare. Flight left on time and arrived on time."
Cons: "Paying for baggage ahead of time is tricky, perhaps purposely so. Read very carefully on the website when paying for bags. Carry-on bags cost extra if they are a certain size. Checked bags appear on website with carry-on bag selector beneath the checked bag graphic. That caused us to pay for the wrong one accidentally, with no way to cancel after paying."
Pros: "We landed ahead of schedule both flights."
Cons: "Extra fee for carry on bag and food."
Cons: "Flight was delayed twice."
Cons: "Charges for both carry-on and check in bag. Charges increase by when and where you check your bags. Carry-on bag more of a charge. No one at check in counter when arrived. Waited 1/2 before anyone arrived, and this was during the late afternoon. Frontier ticket appears cheap until I added my luggage and picked my seat...adding an additional $80 to price. Then to find out the person next to me only paid $70 for the same ticket. My ticket at least 4 times more."
Pros: "the price"
Cons: "the seats"
Cons: "Five hour delay!!! Miserable experience. Communication with passengers was terrible."
Pros: "I liked the price for the base ticket."
Cons: "I really didn't like paying for seats, and having those paid-for seats ultimately be sandwiched between rows of hysterically crying and screaming babies. Seat in front of us, seat behind us; the 1yo in front screamed the entire flight, the 1yo behind us screamed half the flight and kicked the seat the other half. If an airline makes you pay for a seat, they sure probably ensure some sort of quality. Rolling the dice with the automated seat assignment would have been better."
Pros: "Despite a slight weather delay, the trip was excellent. Staff, crew both helpful and efficient. Got plane loaded quickly and made sure we knew status of delay. Would recommend Frontier to friends in future."
Cons: "i'm really upset that i didn't get to pick my own seats beforehand, and i'm upset that we had baggage fees."
Pros: "See above."
Cons: "See above."
Pros: "Clean plane, flights on time, low fares."
Cons: "Seats don't recline, charges for seat selection even in economy and charge for all carry ons."
Pros: "I enjoyed my flight, on time, friendly and clean. Fees for bags a Little high."
Cons: "Fees for luggage a little too high"
Pros: "on time"
Cons: "very small tight seating size"
Cons: "Flight cancelled. Couldn't get out of Denver until a day later. Total disaster."
Pros: "New, clean airplane adequate, competent crew Made consistent use of aerodynamic principles"
Cons: "Frontier Airlines charges for carry-on bags, as well as checked bags. This is surprising, and over a round-trip, can add $50-100 to the airfare. The airline advertises itself as a low-price airline, but this hidden fee I find disingenuous. How can I travel without any belongings? Thus, the base ticket price is unfairly presented. Chairs do not recline No in-flight entertainment No complimentary food or drinks, prices are exorbitant ($3 for a bag of chips) Flight was delayed by an hour, then we sat for an additional hour after boarding to fix the A/C I really disliked flying on Frontier. When buying tickets I forgot about their hidden baggage charges, and was fooled into thinking their prices were competitive."
Cons: "Flight leaving Milwaukee was delayed due to technical problems. Got on the plane an hour late, sat on the plane for over an hour, had to get off the plane and wait in the terminal for 2 hours therefore missed my connecting flight and have not arrived at my final destination. There was nothing offered for the trouble or inconenience (snacks, drinks, etc.). I had to miss an important meeting and never want to fly Frontier again."
Cons: "Ridiculous seating and baggage charges. Seats, seat spacing. Sitting in the aircraft for an hour at the departure gate while baggage handling mess was sorted out - unload and reload? - ."
Pros: "Available for purchase"
Cons: "I believe water (at the least) should be offered FREE of charge, and a snack packet or crackers."
Pros: "Very good price and the help was great. Thanks to all of you. Dan"
Pros: "Price of ticket"
Cons: "Seats were pretty narrow"
Pros: "The crew was super funny and kind"
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to "mechanical issues" no information was given to us about estimated wait times by the airport staff, yet when I called customer service they gave me correct information on wait time. There is a very bad issue with communication among frontier gate agents, engineering, and phone customer support. Please work on this more in the future. A majority of the people I flew with say they will never fly with frontier again. I would be interested in helping change your customer care methods to retain customers in the future"
Pros: "Its my first time i us ur airline but its really tireble even thay didnt ask any passinger even for water.and we are 2 adult me and my husband include 1 bag thay charge us $35"
Pros: "Two passengers tried to take carry ons wthout paying. This caused a major boarding delay. Apparently the person responsible for checking passengers in was the only person who could deal with the problem. No beverage service."
Pros: "The over all experience"
Cons: "The plane didn't have any air and the boarding attendants couldn't make their mind up. They gave out different information and they were rude."
Pros: "the crew was courteous and professional"
Cons: "i'm sure i'm not the first person to say this but the add on charges (luggage, seat choice) are a little annoying in that they aren't just presented as part of the ticket price. Like couldnt the ticket price say 'the ticket will be between 140 and 200 dollars depending on baggage and seat choice'"
Pros: "At least a beverages"
Pros: "Fast flight and friendly people"
Cons: "No tv on the head rest. I like watching the flight and path"
Cons: "Mine and four other individuals bag never showed up. They told us to fill out a form and they'd contact us in 24 hours, still haven't been connected with."
Pros: "The crew was fantastic - fun, energetic, helpful, and not pushy."
Cons: "The turbulence was pretty awful, which I know isn't always the pilot's fault, but there wasn't any explanation for it. The landing was actually one of the scariest landings I have ever experienced and it would have been nice to hear why this was happening."
Pros: "Frontier seems to be always on time and affordable. Their crews are less serious than other flight crews and they seem to be actually having fun and they are more engaging than on other airlines."
Cons: "if you are planning to carry on bags or check bags, you may want to consider using another airline. $30-$50 per bag each way.......i find that i can get just as good of a deal on Delta when you figure in the carry-on bag cost."
Pros: "Great new plane. Comfortable seats"
Pros: "The flight attendants were polite."
Cons: "Delay announced of 2 1/2 hours, but posted at gate a delay of 2 hours. Passengers rushed on to plane at 9a, a 1 hour delay, then sat on plane until 10a. Plane taxied toward runway for takeoff, then recalled to gate to pick up a crew member. So, a 2 1/2 hour delay occurred anyway. A total clown show!"
Pros: "The crew."
Cons: "The fact that you are charged for a drink is a bit much. Surely the price of the round trip ticket should cover a small cup of soda or coffee. And charging for a checked bag is crazy. I mean you have room allotted on these planes for baggage, & yet you charge a minimum of $30 to take a very small bag."
Pros: "On time with boarding and reasonably courteous staff"
Cons: "Meals were not complimentary and the seating was tight. Uncomfortable to move around"
Pros: "My flight was delayed, but when it got there the staff was quick to get us in the air. Everyone was very nice."
Cons: "Paying to carry on a bag and for snacks."
Pros: "Front ones were nice."
Cons: "These 2 ladies need another job. Customer Service is NOT in their vocab"
Pros: "The crew was fabulous as was the boarding process."
Cons: "The seats are terribly uncomfortable and no longer recline. There isn't any entertainment or food provided so hopefully you have something to occupy your time. My checked baggage surpassed the 50 pound limit and I was charged an additional $75 on top of the $30 checked bag fee."
Pros: "it's cheap and boarding is quick"
Cons: "a lot. it's spirit so they are intentionally mediocre"
Cons: "The worst turbulence I’ve encountered. I would maybe chalk it up to weather conditions but the landing, in near no wind and sunny skies, was just as bad"
Pros: "Was not aware that there was a 59$ charge for carry on. It was not made clear when I purchased the ticket. I would have packed differently. And I wouldn't have spent the first hour annoyed Otherwise the attendants were nice And what is up with the 3$ charge for water"
Cons: "The services are not per general low cost airlines"
Cons: "Had to pay for a carry on didn't know you weren't aloud to have one this should have been like all other flights know extra price"
Cons: "Can't recline seat"
Pros: "I'm still alive."
Cons: "I purchased my seats for 50 dollars, then went back in to check out a couple other options, 'the big one' for example. When I clicked on the seat for more info, my purchased seats were removed from my itinerary without being clearly told so. I was forced to buy the same exact seats 2 minutes later for another 50. I called customer service, sat on the phone so long I hung up after 40 minutes. Called again and talked to someone. They would not directly refund the initial 50 as its 'nonrefundable'. I could understand that if I cancelled my flight. Not when their site removed my seats without my knowledge. I was given a 60 day credit towards a future flight. Well, I'm not going anywhere in the next two months, nor do I have the ability to do so, so they scammed me out of 50 dollars."
Pros: "The flights themselves were adequate, glad I am only 5'8" or it would be very uncomfortable for a larger person."
Cons: "The hidden carry on fees being added at time of departure are deceptive. As a first time Spirit Airlines customer I fell into their business model and was trapped into paying $55 each way for my carry on bags. All attempts to discuss with the ground crew and customer service my disappointment and request for a refund were met with delays and deception hoping I would give up on getting my $110 back for the hidden carry on fee. At this juncture I am disputing the charges with my credit card company and will have to see what happens."
Pros: "Flights left on time, took off on time and landed on time. Luggage arrived with me. I had heard horror stories about Spirit. Given free miles for completing credit card application. I will use them. Pleased with the option to purchase the wider seats as I am a big lady."
Cons: "Weight limit on checked bags is pretty low. Cost me to check my suitcase on this leg of the trip. Of course, you charge for every single thing. But now that I know that, I can manage my costs by knowing what to expect Was not told that credit card has an annual fee. Will not continue with the card after the fee-free first year. I don't pay annual fees for credit cards."
Cons: "They over charged me for baggage and would not return my money for a flight I wasn't even on yet, even though I had travel insurance. The rows are crammed together so much you can easily lean on the seat in front of you with out trying. And legroom is nonexistent."
Cons: "This shouldn't be under a cheap category. Considering that I had a carry on, I ended up paying and additional $120 for baggage. On my return flight I sat next to someone who for sure was on some sort of methamphetamine or heavy upper and could not sit still for a moment. or stop scratching herself. There is no phone line at all that gets you to a human to speak to... at all! So asking for specific flight details was impossible. To get a bottle of water on a 5.5 hour flight was $3 which is inappropriate. The seats do not recline and are small. If you do not pay for you carry on a head of time they will charge you $100 which is basically robbery. I will never fly spirit ever again."
Pros: "non-stop flight was easy to book minus all of the fees."
Cons: "Outrageously expensive for carry on and baggage, unenergetic flight crew, outrageous prices for food--nothing complimentary is provided during flight."
Cons: "The entire staff was awful! I took a total of 5 flights and not one staff member was nice. Never heard please thank you just demanded we buckle seat belts and other instructions. I felt like I was a inconvenience to everyone I spoke to. Its not worth the money you save on the tickets because they charge fees for EVERYTHING even checking in at the airport!!! Don't waist your money or time with them."
Pros: "The crew was helpful and friendly."
Cons: "I found the website to be a pain. I needed to check in and it made me join the Spirit club in order to check in. (I fly rarely.) Then, it offered me a discount to check my luggage on line, and it wanted me to join something further, in order to claim a $9 discount. (Again, I fly very seldom.)"
Pros: "The price is great!"
Cons: "The seats/space too small. I would prefer to see a check in process where I didn't have to print any paper. It would be more efficient."
Pros: "Both flights arrived on time; super cheap!"
Cons: "OK, it's crowded and you can't bring a carryon. We packed light and saved bucks!"
Pros: "The crew was awesome"
Cons: "The seating space, I was too tall for"
Pros: "The direct flight and crew was very polite."
Cons: "We had one carryon, a purse, and one checkin bag and it cost me $178 additional dollars when I printed my boarding passes. Since they didn't itimize it, I don't even know what I paid for. Also, there is no way you can talk with anyone from Spirit and ask a question."
Pros: "I have never seen so many angry people at a gate before. There were more than a handful of people irate at some of your RIDICULOUS baggage policies. I didn't have a carry-on so it wasn't an issue for me but you guys definitely are not making friends. I remember one of the crew members saying over the speaker, "This isn't the twilight zone ... we charge for all of our beverage and snack items.". Guess you should tell that to Southwest!!!!!! Their customer service is impeccable, they let you switch flights for free, they serve free drinks, the seats aren't hard as rock, and you get a free CHECKED BAG!!!!! You guys should learn some things from their business model!!! But you know what? I know your going to read this and dismiss it!!! Nothing is going to change!!!! One last thought: If you focus on customer service instead of the bottom line, your business will be Successful!!!!! All of you should watch "Miracle On 34th Street" and that concept will become clear. Peace out! Never flying you again."
Pros: "Ticket fare is low."
Cons: "Check in luggage is too expensive."
Cons: "The emails related to my itinerary never mentioned I needed to pay for checked baggage. Would have chosen a different airline.. it's deceptive since the ticket plus $50 for checked baggage was unexpected. One personal item is free but everything else costs money"
Pros: "The ride"
Pros: "Absolutely Nothing"
Cons: "First my flight was delayed 2 hours at the last minute. Then that plane sat at the gate for an extra hour. I then had a connecting flight that also sat at the gate for an hour, totaling 4 hours of wasted time. They wouldn't even give us free food or anything to help compensate - just an empty apology. I will probably never fly Spirit again."
Cons: "I have a heart condition so they kicked me off for telling them.... I have to alert them according to my cardiologist but they said they don't feel comfortable with me flying. I called my cardiologist and even they said that was ridiculous. To top it off they kicked me off the flight wouldn't even let my cardiologist vouch for me and wouldn't let me get to my destination till Wednesday. I ended up having to get a flight with a diffident airline for over $500 more because it was last minute."
Cons: "web site didn't work, customer service didn't discuss anything that helped me. found out at the gate i had to pay for my bag. flight was delayed for 3 hours. will never fly them again!!!!"
Pros: "The crew helped me with my crutch, and made sure I was comfortable even with my injury."
Cons: "The planes themselves are awful, dirty, smell weird, and cramped."
Cons: "We made up time and it was great."
Pros: "Boarding was easy if you had paid a carry-on fee."
Cons: "The extremely high fee for carry-on"
Pros: "On time. Comfy seats."
Cons: "Web sit check in didn't work. Big line at check in at BWI. No kiosks until tou get to the desk."
Pros: "When you have to pay for carry-on, there is a lot of room... No worries about them running out of space."
Cons: "paying for carry-on is a bit pricey."
Pros: "The air fare was good until you get to the airport and find out about all the "other" fees"
Cons: "55.00 for each baggage ... and even an additional charge for carry on! And more charges if you want a snack Seats don't recline and your tray table has been reduced to a small box top lol!!!"
Cons: "Tried to pay for seats, bags and print boarding pass the night before flight. Their website was down and they said I would have to psy $100 per bag @ the terminal."
Pros: "I'm a large guy, so I really appreciated the aisle seat, and that Spirit hasn't reduced the size of its seats to accommodate nothing but a 9 year old boy like so many other airlines have done. The crew was great, we were right on time, it was a great flight."
Cons: "I know that Spirit makes up for its cheap flight prices with charges for checking luggage and for in flight snacks but $4 for a bag of nuts is a little much, guys."
Pros: "The main flight attendant kept saying how much better Delta is than Spirit, so don't expect much, which was funny the first time, but then it got obnoxious. Whatever--people seemed to think he was amusing."
Cons: "Ir order to print your boarding pass, you have to have an email address and password and pretty much sign up for their barrage of email messages. I don't think you can have them email your boarding pass to you, and if you don't have one, they charge you at the airport. With the $42 fee for suitcase (which I don't understand) I really think it's worth the extra money to fly a real airline. Also took longer than usual to get suitcases when we landed at MSP. Oh, and they're so cheap they didn't post the flight number by the gate, and it was a half hour late leaving."
Pros: "The flight confirmation code Spirit gives out doesn't work when you try to pay for bags or get your boarding pass. No person answers Spirit's phone line to help you figure it out. For the most part there is a lack of directions and some of the directions are wrong."
Cons: "The website is poor in design and access. Forced to call and talk to a person. It seemed like the website deliberately did not function properly so that the airline could foce the customer to interact with an employee so they could charge additional money for booking fees and seat fees. Absolutely terible"
Pros: "- Not much...."
Cons: "- No free beverages - Outrageously high carry on and checked bag fees ($100 for a carry on bag when you get on the plane?! $65 in advance at the gate?!) - Seemingly never-ending advertisements on the plane for a Spirit credit card that no one wanted"
Pros: "The price is right and meets my expectations. It is my first experience To fly this airline, I am a long time United fame, given the very limited choice, I Take this chance and am very impressed with the smooth landing!"
Cons: "You need to think twice the things you pack in the baggage. The size and price you paid for carry-on/check-in baggage is challenging and it better suits for young travelers"
Cons: "Very uncomfortable seats, plane was dirty, staff was unprofessional, fees for carry-ons are RIDICULOUS, fees for checked bags are higher than any other airline with A LOWER WEIGHT LIMIT OF 40 LBS. I was stuck at the airport trying to re-pack all of my stuff to meet the weight limit and avoid paying $100 for my "overweight" checked bag. I finally gave in and checked two bags for $90. So much for the cheaper fare. Also, did I mention the plane was dirty? There were crumbs all over the seats in my row and trash in my seat pocket. The seats are poorly designed so every time the child behind me bumped my seat, I felt like I was being probed."
Pros: "Check in line at BWI was a zoo. Lines were badly marked. I was ready with my boarding pass and I only wanted to drop my bag. I took to do that then 5/6 passengers without boarding passes. They were in the wrong line and the staff knew it helped first. The flight was half an late. But after these two events the flight was fine"
Cons: "Check in disorganization"
Pros: "Love the price, and the no-frills, low cost approach. I can easily pack a minimal amount of stuff and be satisfied with bringing my own water bottle and pretzels to save $100. As long as you are aware of the policies before you book, I think everything is fine. Those that seem most upset with Spirit Airlines are those who were unaware their luggage policy and end up paying exorbitant rates at the gate..."
Cons: "This airplane seemed much tighter than the other Spirit flight I took. I dropped something on the floor by my feet, and the space in front of me was so narrow that I couldn't even reach down to grab the item without bending sideways, practically laying down in my neighbor's lap. So, the flight wasn't super comfortable with no room to move my legs, but then, I have long legs and I am never comfortable on an airplane."
Cons: "Spirit airline unfortunately does not know what customer service means... Check in staff rolls their eyes, refuse to help and gets upset when asked questions. Then they say "it's more important to get the plane taken care of then deal with the bags"... Back story, almost 2 hours waiting for my checked bag... Every time we asked someone for info or help they took off and hid. The manager was not helpful and there customer service call in line was rude, and can't get anyone to call back. This coming from a person who believes in killing with kindness.... If u need help/info u better be nice. I approach in a very kind understanding fashion and still treated like I'm a horrible person who doesn't matter. I'd rather pay a little extra money for a plane ticket and be treated like a person."
Cons: "Brilliant marketing. Spirit positions itself as an un-bundled ultra-low cost airline, then hopes, wishes and prays its customers will make (costly) mistakes by taking an extra bag, getting hungry on the flight, forgetting to print a boarding pass.... They put the burden on not terribly sophisticated customers to have total knowledge of Spirit rules, execute their travel plans perfectly, then punish them with jacked up penalty prices for each rule infraction. Spirit calls it unbundling. They should call it buyer beware."
Cons: "too okd of a plane, no comfort-return plane and crew excellent however"
Pros: "I heard many negative things about Spirit, but this was a smooth flying experience. This was a short notice, personal trip. Price was important. Spirit had the best price. Departure (Baltimore) and arrival (MSP) gates were on the main terminal."
Cons: "A la carte pricing on everything takes getting used to. It also makes it difficult to compare prices. On short trips, it was cheaper to buy a few clothing items at my destination than to pay the high baggage fees. Why am I charged to carry my own carry-on bag to the plane?"
Cons: "The seats and seating area was small. The crew didn't want to let me go to the bathroom because the Stay Seated light was on. I told her it was an emergency and she rolled her eyes at me."
