I liked the fact that I can fly red eye.

I typically fly Southwest because of the free leg room, free 2 bags checked, and 2 free carry-ons. Frontier "fee's" flyers to death. I have to pay extea for leg room????!!! REALLY! I could see if i was 6'6" but I'm not. If Southwest ever offers red eye flights I'll never patronize Frontier or another airline again.

The staff was wonderful.

Couldn't sit in our seats and was moved for a young lady who got the whole row to herself. I had a guest who had never flown, so a window seat was exciting. Unfortunately he was not able to experience that.

The ticket cost buys you the option to pay for a seat. To get a seat next to my wife, we paid $17 per seat that didn't recline (that is extra) and the seat themselves are hard plastic with a 2 mm thick pleather cover. Each bag was $45 and they charged for each carry on. Every drink including water was a fee...worst flight I have ever experienced. We paid for another airline on the return leg.

The flight was delayed due to a "captain switch" but upon arrival of the new captain, he stated he didn't know what the problem was and that he was called from reserve. While we waited during the delay, the Frontier staff openly mocked previous passengers, repeatedly cursed, sat in wheelchairs gossiping, ignored guest requests, and loudly discussed bowel movements. My fiancé wrote two complaints to the airline during our wait - none of which received a response. This airline is unprofessional and I will not fly it again.

Seats do not recline unless you've purchased a first class ticket and leg room is quite limited, making an overnight flight very uncomfortable. Tray table is about 1/3 the size of most airplane tables. I asked at the ticketing counter if I was able to board with both my purse and small bag (both would easily fit under the seat together), and was told I'd be charged for a carry on, so I had to stuff my purse inside the personal bag to avoid a charge. Flight crew was polite but not overly friendly. Snacks and beverages are not complimentary (I didn't ask about water but it seems like there are mixed messages about whether that is complimentary or not based on other reviews). I have flown Frontier in the past so I was aware that seats and baggage cost extra, but prices seem higher than they had been in the past ($12 for the cheapest pre-selected seats, $36 for carry on). Only perk was that the flight was direct from DEN-IAD.

I missed my original connecting flight in EWR because there was no gate available when we landed. After waiting several minutes, we taxiied to a different gate. I called customer service to let them know we were on the ground waiting for a gate assignment. Despite this, the flight boarded and left with several people missing the connection even though that flight pushed back later than its original time and departed almost an hour late. The plane was sitting there with the door closed. After that, I was put on the next available flight which was already delayed more than 2 hours. That delay extended even longer and was eventually cancelled due to weather. United CS reps were not willing to address passenger concerns. They closed the CS area in some portions of the airport forcing everyone to a very limited number of reps. I ended up having to rent a car and spending the first 5 hours of my birthday driving home. I should have been able to make my connecting flight and would have avoided the entire mess. Instead, I am out of my ticket price plus the additional cost of renting a car since my changed flight was cancelled due to weather not the gate assignment changes that originally caused me to miss the connection. What should have been a brief 4-5 hour trip ended up being almost a 20 hour day....United absolutely SUCKS!

The cabin crew provided the most information out of the entire experience and were extremely friendly. I appreciate Dawn in particular. The lounge is nice when it is not so over-crowded. I appreciate some complimentary minor snacks and drinks; it certainly helped with the delay. What would normally be sufficient seating and power outlets became people tripping over each other with delayed flights.

The lounge staff were hard to find and not communicative about delays. The board only had 1 update to my departure time, which was 30 mins after the originally scheduled time, and did not update again until 25 minutes after that second time had passed. The lounge staff did not make an announcement until after that board update and even then the information was wrong. The one time I found someone to ask a question to, I was given the same information. I had no idea why there was a delay or what to expect and no way of finding out. It made coordinating next steps upon my arrival to my destination extremely difficult. The lounge is not particularly well-equipped for multiple delayed flights.

In Group D...finally getting on...just to find the entire rear overheads completely full...how is that possible if everyone is supposed to be storing ONE carry on...completely not fair..now I have to shove both my bag & my personal item under the seat in front of me in an already tight space, I wouldn't need Even More Space--not a tall or overweight person.

The boarding process was the best part of the experience which isn't saying much.

Extra fees for everything. I got a sore neck carrying my "personal bag" so as not to be charged. Not even a snack or beverage!! The worst part are the plastic bucket seats with very little padding and no head rests. I WAS MISERABLE AND UNCOMFORTABLE. The attendants were always explaining to MANY customers that they would have to pay for. Drinks-oh and you can only use a credit card. Cash isn't good enough

At EWR there were a lot of travelers but 1 agent until another one showed to help travelers at the kiosks. You ask for help and everybody asked can't do the kiosk, you have to wait. I have a lot patience but when it's a bunch of us and it take 20 minutes to get someone to help you, it's wrong.

The in flight staff was very friendly

Our 2nd flight was changed by the airline, causing us to have a 6 hour layover in Philadelphia instead of a 2 hour layover. Then when we ask about changing to a different flight they told us that the original flight we were supposed to be on (that we booked over 8 months ago) was completely full so that’s why we were moved, and there were no other flights available to switch to. So we accepted that. But when we printed our boarding passes, we saw that our seats were now separate from each other, and they were both middle seats! I don’t understand how booking my tickets so far in advance still resulted in these issues. We were finally able to get an aisle and window seat (not near each other) but both flights had poor to little entertainment, which I wouldn’t have expected on such long flights with American Airlines. Really was letdown. :(

The price

Both there and back our flight was delayed over an hour. The seats were very uncomfortable and with little leg room. when you check in on line it seems like you you don't have any other option but to pay for your seats. Don't do it-- just have them pick your seats-- you will be with your travel mate most likely. If money is a concern and you don't mind being delayed, then it is worth it. Otherwise don't do it!

This was the first time I have flown Frontier. Even with a checked bag fee ($30 each way), my total fare was still less than half of what it would have been for competitors the same week. The planes were clean, flights were on time, and the crew were extremely friendly and helpful!
