I will often upgrade to 1st class, and that is so worth it. I arrive at my destination after 5 hours feeling relaxed and able to jump right into the new environment."

Argued with man with service dog and failed to understand that "service dog" was not some pet. We attempted to assist other flyer and he was rude, bossy, and nearly insolent to us ... he finally to it but needs for re-training for him pretty darned important. One blondish wm stew with long page-boy like hair cut also verged on rudeness through her inability to hear, understand and desire to chant rules rather than to hear what was actually happening ... both of them more than mildly disappointing. Other two stews fine but seemed to want to stay out of way of the two rude ones."

To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."

Cons: "I informed the airline well ahead of 48 hours that I was bringing a service dog with me on the flight. When we were boarding I was expecting that they would accommodate us properly by leaving the seat beside me empty so that there was room for the dog. One of the crew started to tell me that I would have had to buy another seat for the dog in order to do that. I told her that ADA guidelines say that they have to place me at the front by the bulkhead so there would be room at my feet or have an empty seat beside me. Since there were no seats at the bulkhead available when I bought my ticket, I had selected a window seat and expected them to leave the one next to me open. They eventually left the seat open next to me, but I had to educate them on what they were supposed to do."

This is like a time share presentation in the sky that you cannot get away from. After baggage fees and all other things considered Southwest would have been a cheaper option"

However, if you do have luggage, you are screwed. I do not think that I will ever fly Spirit Airlines again."

Pros: "The service was poor. Flight attendant did not even bother to ask me if I wanted to purchase any drinks on the flight. Also flight attendant did not allow me to use to restroom on the aircraft. She shook her finger at me as I walked up and did a turn around sign to indicate that I needed to use the other restroom. I waited 30 minutes to use the other restroom while she stood there in front of the restroom in the front of the aircraft. I have never been restricted to use the restroom before on any airline. The flight also was not full and I asked if I could relocate my seat because the person next to me kept nugging into me and being really close to me and I felt really uncomfortable. Flight attendant told me that the seats are assigned and that they could not do anything about it even though there were plenty of empty seats. They said if I wanted to switch seats then I would have to pay a fee. I have never had an airline tell me that if there were a large amount of empty seats remaining."

The chairs on the plane were basically glorified pieces of hard plastic with even less legroom than a united flight somehow. Terrible airline!"

Cons: "They didn't turn on the air conditioning until we got off the ground. They were trying to conserve as much fuel as possible. The seats are super uncomfortable. They made them as thin as possible and you can't recline them. They probably did this to make the seats light to save fuel. The tray tables are just large enough for you to put your phone on them. They might be able to hold a $3 can of soda that you can buy on the plane if you want something to drink. They are also very very enjoyable to flip up and down and cause quite a bit noise and vibration for the person in front of you. We got to experience this with two children behind us who did this for the first half of the flight.
