It happened because it was no room above my seat's bin and the steard helped me to get my heat in another bin. Unfortunately I forgot at the moment when I left the board of the plane, a minute later I reminded that I forgot my hat but I was not allowed to go back and get my hat. I tried to communicate with the Lot&Found office in Vienna airport as I had 2h40 minutes in connection time and it was enough time to get me back the hat, unfortunately nothing was really done from the airport staff to get me my hat and made to me possible continue traveling with my hat. I spoke to two managers, the name I could share with you if you need. The Found office registered my black hat and the plastic box under the number F2018/000682. In this situation I ask your offices to deliver my hat and the plastic box to Lviv airport as sson as possible as this is a special hat for my daily prayers. I wish you best and ask for your kind assistance to send the item as soon as possible with the nearest flight. Sincerely, Meylakh Sheykhet"

So then we needed to get in ANOTHER line and get the stamp and then stand in line AGAIN just to get on the plane! For being Swiss you'd think you'd have this part down AT LEAST! Boarding by seat number would have been a better idea. Everybody was all over the place getting their bags stored above."

Even if there were fewer options for cost reasons, I would think they'd still have more watcher enjoyment. Rather than pad the list with the likes of Boss Baby or Going out in Style or even a mediocre 60% offering in the Fast and Furious franchise. Wonderful crew, though, can't say enough about how polite and attentive they are."

Pros: "I flew round-trip in Business Class from Munich to Kiev and then back to Germany via Frankfort and both flights were on time. The dedicated business class check-in line and advance boarding process was smooth - as were both flights. The cabin crew on both flights were very good and all spoke English well. My chief complaint is with the European Business Class seating model (3 across with center seat empty) - which does not afford much more leg room or seat pitch than in economy class. On the plus side you don't have to get in a fist-fight with anyone over the overhead bin storage problem since there are less people in business class and hence more storage space."

Period. To be fair the pasta turned out ok. The morning dry ham and cheese bun was not, especially without any drink."

Cons: "My son Adam is in Mekele Ethiopia having flown most of his journey with Lufthansa. For two days now, his luggage with his nebulizer and asthma medications has gone missing and not ONE person at Lufthansa is willing to help on their end. Since his last leg was with Ethiopian Airlines, Lufthansa is unwilling to help in any fashion or form in helping to track the luggage that flew with them over two flights. They DENY they have any responsibility to help because it's not their "policy." They wouldn't even look into their computers to see where the luggage was last seen. I am so angry that "policy" is more important to Lufthansa than actual human caring about their passengers."

Cons: "Whole experience with them was a nightmare and is still ongoing. They won't help me so I had to turn to Amex to settle everything and get my money back. Unbelievable. The airport had to close due to an emergency, that's out of Lufthansa's hands I obviously understand that. However, the way we were "helped" through all of this was unbelievable- over two and a half hours of phone calls with them, while in Europe (so paying God knows what per minute), 4 hours to get my luggage back so we could leave, absolutely no one from Lufthansa around to help or even tell us what's going on, put us on a flight the following day with two layovers now (paid more for only one layover but what can I do). Next day, at Alitalia gate (Lufthansa put me on an itinerary with flights from Alitalia, Lufthansa and United) had to pay AGAIN to check the bag that I had just paid to check the previous day where we did not end up flying anywhere (showed Alitalia the receipt, they didn't care in the slightest and said its Lufthansas problem, 0 stars for them as well), either way finally got through our 2 layovers, only to discover the final leg of our trip (United/ Lufthansa flight) is delayed 3 hours. Just about to board, now it's delayed another 5 hours. Because we were short a pilot...... Short a pilot, really....? Ended up getting home at 2am on a work night, completely jet lagged and utterly exhausted from being in an airport for 2 straight days. Supposed to get compensation as per United flight crew, only I put my ticket information in the website and it doesn't work for me of course because I have a Lufthansa ticket. No one cares, no one helps, now it's time for Amex to step in and get all of my money back."

Cons: "The scheduling of the in flight events made no sense. The cabin was dimmed for take off (logical, given that it was a red-eye). However, once we were at altitude, the lights were put back on to serve dinner. Several people were woken up by this and it took like 1.5 hrs because its a big plane. Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

The crew boarding children were nice with the litte ones. As an observer who previously had traveled with children I thought it was refreshing to see your erdonnel. Every fligh attendant had a nice smile and great desire for the well being of the people."

Priority entrance was open, but then another 20-25 min in the closed waiting area, some kind of hoarder. Only then the mixture of all passengers was let through the sleeve to the plane. Why bother about Priority? Plane arrive in NYC 35 min late. Many transit passengers worried about their connecting flights."

Pros: "The employee at the checkin counter in Oslo set everything up for us regarding our wheelchair and walker. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and kind. She arranged for a pick up in Helsinki with the airport's crew. They helped us unload the plane and then had a personal accessible bus to take us from where we landed (outside of terminal) to the gate of our next departure. The crew were all extremely professional and efficient."
Cons: "The leg room is never enough on the long flights. The flight from Chicago to Helsinki at 10:00pm was not nearly as good as the flights from Oslo to Helsinki to Chicago. The crew was not as pleasant, the lights were not turned off until after 1:00 am and then turned on hours before the light "breakfast" was served."

Also when I attempted to check in 24hours prior in order to make sure I got a seat id be happy with it said that it wasn't available for my flight so I couldn't check in and I couldn't chose a seat but regardless I still should've gotten the seat I wanted bc of my preferences at booking. Don't pay the extra to ensure your seat it's a total rip off"

I planned my trip with more than enough time to make connection... Called about my travel insurance and found out it kicked in after 6 hour delay. Customer service should never make you feel like the issue is your fault."

The plane was nearly 2 hours late departing from Chicago O'Hare with no explanation given. 1hr and 45 minutes is a long time to sit without going anywhere. Food was incredibly uninspiring and the staff was kind, but generally seemed distracted. I asked for a beverage at one point, but the flight attendant was too busy trying to get the passenger next to me who was passed out on sleeping pills to put the window shade down to give it to me. American Airlines is one of the only carriers left that has not upgraded to individual entertainment units for transatlantic flights and so the entertainment was like something straight out of Mad Men. Probably my worst flying experience to date."

The plane was rescheduled to fly the next day at 18.00. It didn't actually leave until after midnight, causing us to miss our connecting flights not just once, but again the next day. Communication by British Airways about what was going on and when we could expect to fly was awful throughout, and their customer service was worse than abysmal. I will avoid flying BA in the future."

Which was apparently the problem. When I got to London, my backpack was in fact tagged as being acceptable size! Fortunately, the rest of British Airways staff have their act together and one person didn't ruin an otherwise great experience."

Then there were only about 6 movies to choose from and when you chose one you would either have to wait 11-29 minutes for the next showing or join an already in progress showing. Cleanliess - there were used tissue in my seat back pocket that I found when I went to grab a magazine. I had a window seat and when I lifted it there were greasy head or hand (or both) prints visibly all over the window. I got sick the day after arriving and I don't doubt these things contributed. Comfort - seat was fine except underneath where my feet should go there was some kind of metal box affixed to the floor. Luckily my neighbor let me share their space. The overhead reading light wouldn't shut off so we had to tape a box lid over it to be able to let ourselves and those around us sleep. Food- Im gluten free and requested a special meal. It was cold, tasted horrible, and the same lemon cookie (the only edible thing) they gave me for dessert they also gave me for breakfast. The in crew attendants were nice and tried to help as much as possible. I may have gotten a good deal on the flight and been in economy but it is still a lot of money to me.fTo book with one airline and get another is disappointing, even more disapointing was the experience. I'm very glad to have gotten to london safely but am hoping for a much better journey home and will think twice before booking international on kayak/British Airways again. Definitely will never fly American overseas EVER again. I'm sorry to write something like this but it genuinely was awful and I've been sick most my trip."

Cons: "Fog over London delayed our flight from Rome. Instead of dealing with this proactively, BA made us sit in the plane on the tarmac for three hours. When we finally arrived in Rome, instead of automatically rebooking us, they directed everyone to a queue. That queue, managed on a first in, first out basis, took FOUR HOURS, during which we missed more flights that would have gotten us home. If, instead, the queue had been managed by departing flights, more people would have gotten to their destinations in a timely fashion. We eventually we booked on a flight to NY and got a rental car. We were offered no compensation for this ordeal."

We then waited in line for 3 hours at Gatwick to get rerouted and get hotel accommodations and received terrible and insufficient care. The staff seem most concerned with taking breaks than then caring for the enormous line of tired travelers. We lost an entire day of vacation due to the BA system not recognizing our flights as one itinerary and the very slow service at the airport; there were options for that day but by the time we spoke with anyone it was too late."

The airplane was circa 1992, there was a box tv in the aisle every few rows. We flew NY to San Juan PR in July and had personal entertainment on a 3-hour flight, but not ona 6-hour trans-Atlantic. Then there was a problem with the fuel tanks and apparently it was right in the middle of shift change, so one shift went home and the captain didn't know what was going on. "I'm embarrased" he said and we sat on the ground for almost 2 hours. The crew were great, the dinner was fine but yogurt and a weird muffin top is not ok. The best part of the whole flight was a free jack & ginger ale. Based on this experience alone I wouldn't fly with Finnair again. Our trip was for a wedding and most everyone else flew Air Lingus and had a flawless experience, poor choice on our part!"

I thought it might have been my headphones but I tried two different pairs including the pair provided by the airline. I was only able to hear scratchy background noise but no words. This meant I had to go the entire flight with no movie or music. That was highly disappointing. I told the flight attendant about it and she reset my screen thinking that might be the problem but it did not help at all."

No problems, right? I did not receive a check in notification. I used the Finnair trip number on my email but it said there was no flight found. I could not initially get hold of Just fly.com. when I did, they said I had to check in through American Airlines. That didn't work initially either. After getting a new trip number I was able to check in but our seats were changed and it was a red eye. When trying to get seats I noticed there are very few seats left. The seats I had selected were now open and would coat another $120 plus. I couldn't even get those. We wound up with some exit seats which seemed fine until my wife couldn't recline her seat. It was uncomfortable for both of us because she had to use my legs to prop hers onto. Im still on vacation so I haven't contacted American for a refund yet."

We then missed our plane because finair informes us after waiting online we needed to go to another terminal to check bags at american airline. That was not initially told to us and now we are spending over $1000 so we can fly tomorrow plus hotel room. It also affected a business trip to vegas which i needed to cancel. My experience was terrible with finair and american airlines with terrible customer support at the airport. Amazing how we need to pay another 1000 for terrible communication."

Cons: "Perhaps it was my own fault, but I kept getting errors trying to check in online at the Finnair website. I was there because up until I tried to check in at JFK, I was 100% sure I booked a Finnair flight, because that's what Kayak told me. I was pretty pissed off when I found out that SURPRISE I was really flying on American Airlines, pretty much the most boring airline on the planet. When I checked in, I was still unable to get a seat assignment, not until I got to the gate where I had to wait 20 minutes for an agent to show up and sort things out. They finally put me in an emergency exit row, in an extremely uncomfortable non-recline seat (I know, regulations). The flight was also an hour late taking off (I know, not AA's fault), which did not help the experience. Will be more careful next time booking on Kayak."
