Plane got switched and I was moved to the back
Recovery is taking its toll, The Delta employees are burdened with the covid restrictions costing then undue time to make sure they are complaint and its hard to do. Federal law mandating restrictions above local law is ridiculous. I did like the new boarding back to front, been wondering a long time when airlines would figure that out, but drop all the categories for pre-boadrings, only have one: Special needs, Military and 1st class, one call then back to front, half the plane was onboard before it got efficient.
Pros: "Crew was friendly and efficient. The flight got in slightly early. Baggage was swiftly delivered after our arrival."
Cons: "Very little legroom. I would have appreciated a small lunch item, beyond a tiny bag of almonds or two small cookies. But this is where we are these days with air travel."
Pros: "The gate agents and flight crew were very accommodating."
Cons: "I was extremely annoyed that TSA Pre-Check was unavailable at Terminal 2 at 8:15am. This is unacceptable and not the TSA's fault. I fault the airline for this oversight. Delta needs to communicate better to the passengers if there is a possibility of this service being unavailable at an airport."
Pros: "There was an incredibly large passenger next to me and I was essentially afforded only a quarter of my seat. It is not really fair for anyone to have to sit next to someone taking up twice their seat."

I thought that sitting in comfort+ they'd at least give us the comfort of a blanket but I guess not... Oh well."

Cons: "My one piece of hard shell luggage has a special, difficult way of latching. As long as nobody opens it, it stays fine for shipping. The problem is your greedy Chinese luggage handling thieves who work for your airlines in Chinese airports. Whenever they can steal from luggage, they always try to steal from passengers, particularly American. I have had multiple experiences with theft from Chinese airports. I have been to China and back to the USA five times. Many times, items have disappeared from my suitcases in Chinese airports. That is why I decided not to move to China to live but instead move to Indonesia. However, if I fly any plane that transfers my luggage in China, I can usually expect to have my luggage robbed. Although this time, nothing was missing from my luggage, that fact that your people had to wrap my suitcase in plastic (because they did not know the secret for relatching it) and resend it a day later, that is proof that one of your airport personnel opened it to see what he could steal and then got caught because he could not close it again. I am really really really tired of you Chinese thieves. I blame all of you because you are all a product of Mao Tse Tung’s godless atheistic evil society. The Chinese have proven to me again and again that they cannot be trusted. A Kong Chinese official even stole my Ohio driver’s license when I transferred through that airport on a previous trip to Jakarta. I understand your problem. If you fire all dishonest luggage department workers, you will not have any workers remaining. That is why you will always rank as a third world backward primitive society even though you buy expensive airplanes that you don’t build and dress your people up like professionals which they aren’t. AS LONG AS Chinese airport luggage people are dishonest and cannot be trusted, your entire airline is a failure. That is not prejudice against Chinese people. I know some honest good ones. They are all Christians, the kind of good people the corrupt Chinese government hates. An atheistic country is an evil country. Do not expect to be respected by honest people. You people clearly do not deserve it. You are still in the stone age when it comes to professionalism which requires total honesty, a quality which your luggage handlers consider to be dispensable. The flight overall wasn't bad, but there were some earphones left in the seat back in front of me that made me go "eww." I also couldn't get the attendant to bring me a pair of earphones or show me where to plug in to watch movies or TV. There was also a bottle of water rolling on the floor, but that could have been dropped by a passenger on this flight. Overall, I had a "meh" experience.

As for entertainment on the flight, we couldn't do anything without the app, which you have to get before you're on the plane. Boo."

They came by with offerings of water at least 4 times for a 2+ hour flight. Contrast that with my last two 5 hour flights on Virgin and American where they came by with water — ONCE. WiFi wasn’t working for either flight and of course the lack of decent food is discouraging. The coffee has improved which is a plus. Overall, good job, United! Nice not to be jammed in like sardines for once."

Multiple delays no communication finally arrived at destination and there was no open gate late at night. Had to remove a plane, that took an additional 20 minutes. Our arrival should not have been a surprise. There should have anticipated people would want to get off the plane.
Went to print boarding pass, app decided eight then that it had to be updated, with no access to boarding passes while I was in (paid for) priority boarding. Never saw an app that just stops working requiring an upgrade. I had just used it an hour before. Seats are incredibly tight, much more so than others.

The whole plane was entirely way to small for any regular sized person yet alone my 6'5" husband, baggae fees are ridiculous, and the lady at the gate basically told a woman boarding that she had to put on her jacket on order to board instead of carrying it cause she was already carrying a carry on and a personal item."

Got an attendant - flight had started boarding 5-10m before getting the agent / *their* policy is no boarding passes after that -- even though hours earlier the online check-in was done. They charged for the baggage, so parts took. Reality seems to be that flight was oversold. Upon rebook at next flight - that one was delayed due to awaiting inbound flight attendant. They know this stuff hours ahead of time, but never say."

Passenger behind me had his knee on my back the whole flight. Told flight attendant about issues but did nothing. Thought that spirit being a new airline would have better service."
Pros: "This flight had more legroom than ANY flight that I had taken in years. I'm not sure if I just got lucky and landed in an upgraded seat or if that is standard on that plane, but it was great! This crew was also one of the best I have encountered. The cabin was very cold, but as soon as I asked the attendant to turn up the heat, she happily did, and I was more comfortable. She then came back to check on me to make sure I was better. Then... when I was going into the bathroom to brush my teeth, she stopped me and insisted that I take take the fresh, unused portion of a water bottle to use-- so as not to rely on the "plane" water. I would never had thought of such a thing-- but she was right, and for that, I was safer and more comfortable. Both attendants were also immediately at the ready with unlimited hand sanitizer after my bathroom experience. These kinds of things show me that they were pre-prepared to go above and beyond for my comfort and well being-- that is RARE in the airline industry, and I definitely appreciated those extra steps. Please look up their names from my itinerary, and give them the credit they deserve!!! All of my gate attendants were great too."

Only allow 40lbs in checked luggage, but you can bring as much weight as you want in personal or carry on. 41+ lbs costs an extra $30. They nickel and dime you for everything even $10 to print boarding pass. Initial price on Kayak was lower than everyone else, but with all the add ons turned out to be much more expensive. Not allowed to bring tennis racquets on board, have to check them. Jet Blue allows them to be carried on board. Will NEVER fly this airline again."

Cons: "When we arrived, it seemed Spirit was understaffed. There was a long line at check-in, and no bag drop. The attendants seemed stressed, understandably. We were seated in the second to last row, in front of three unaccompanied minors. The flight attendants were doing their best to make sure the kids behaved, but they were incredibly disruptive. My wife and I agreed: unless Spirit has a deal that's too good to afford, we will not be flying with them again. What you may save initially, you pay for in quality of service, comfort, and convenience."

Cons: "Literally everything is extra on a spirit flight. I have just started flying more recently and this is the first time I think I have taken a spirit flight because I would have remembered to avoid this company because of their service. If you wanted to bring a carry on bag that is bigger than a small back pack, you pay for it. Some water on your flight, pay for it. Leg room and comfort of the seats, horrible. Any in flight entertainment, no. Any USB charging, no. I would not choose spirit again if I have the chance. And there were plenty of delays with both my flight to and from my destination. I don't know if spirit has any control over that, but it makes for a horrible flying experience. My 1 hour 10 min flight turned in to 3 and a half hours thanks to waiting in the airport, on the terminal, and circling in the sky."

Cons: "My flight was delayed by over three hours on Sunday traveling from Philadelphia to Los Angeles. Flight delays happen but there was zero communication from anyone at the airport let alone anyone at the customer service desk. They also changed our gate several times, which led people going back and forth completely confused and upset without anyone there to answer questions or help explain where we should be, etc. This was a terrible experience and I will not be flying Spirit again and will encourage friends and co-workers to do the same."

Cons: "A woman at the LAX (connection point) boarding area was so rude to the point where a supervisor got involved. I had a carry on with insulin(I'm type 1 diabetic) that she told me I had to check in. I politely asked her why since Philadelphia international did not give me any issues about it. I also told her that I'm type 1 diabetic and can die without it. She said "you're either checking this bag in or no one is boarding" and proceeded to put the security arm down. I spoke to a Supervisor, who told me it was completely fine. My 7 year old child and I finally boarded thanks to the supervisor. My advise to the wpmn is to stop and think why another reputable airport would have let someone through with the bag she's refusing to let in due to simple fact of size. This was not larger than a normal carry on. I understand that flights are often full and make these requests but certainly not in a humiliating way and ceerriamlg not after being told that it contains medicine that someone can die without."
Cons: "I went to check in with the Spirit agents and they told me my bag would be fine for a personal item after I put it in the measuring display. However, when I got to the gate, they told me my bag was not allowed unless I paid $100 for it. I knew exactly which agent I talked to when I checked in for my boarding pass, but the supervisor wouldn't let me contact the agent at check in. The lack of communication is ridiculous. The supervisor at the gate was extremely rude to me and told me that my words were "bullshit." I will never fly with Spirit again and always pay for your bag because the agents at check in and at the gate are not on the same page with Spirit rules whatsoever."

Cons: "My sister and I and another passenger (not with us) came to the gate at 10:00am and our flight was at 10:15am. When we walked up there was a woman and a stroller just going through the gate doors but when we got to them the attendant said that we were too late and missed the plane. She said we needed to be there 10-15 minutes before departure time. The other woman showed her a phone with the time on it and said it's only 10:00am now and there was no page with names or last calls. And a woman just went through. The woman told us it didn't matter, they couldn't take us and sent us back downstairs to get a new ticket. My sister and I were at the coffee shop about 100 yards from the gate and if we would have heard our names being called or a last call for the plane, we wouldn't have gotten coffee! We had to go back downstairs to get another ticket, the plane they put us on was boarding right then and they told us they would have someone walk us through TSA but after we finished with the tickets they told us to go up and someone would meet us there...no one did. Thankfully the TSA guy remembered us and let us through the front of the line. When we got to our gate the woman there reminded people that if they were going to the bathroom or getting anything to make sure they were back 10-15 minutes before the plane was scheduled to depart. That flight was delayed 20 minutes anyways. I will never, ever, use Spirit again."
Cons: "Flight from Detroit to Philadelphia was cancelled the morning of the trip. Wait time to talk to a Kayak rep was 1 hr 20 min, then the Kayak rep that tried to help us was informed by Spirit that we had to talk with them directly. Then the wait time for Spirit rep was over an hour and their website function was down. When we finally reached the Spirit rep they informed us that they would not help us reschedule another flight to get to our destination, and our choices were to get a refund or fly out with them 2 days later. Neither of these choices were an option for us, so we had to purchase last minute tickets on our own for an outrageous price with another airline. Spirit said the hurricane/weather was the reason they cancelled the flight, but the weather was fine on our route and no other airline had trouble getting from Detroit to Philly. I have NEVER experienced an airline being completely unwilling to work with me during scheduling problems. This situation cost us a ton of money, and worse we missed a very important event. We were extremely disappointed to say the least and will most likely not consider flying with Spirit again."

Cons: "The seats and legroom were extremely small. The FAs were in a bad mood and not friendly, not assisting anyone with baggage and seating issues. Most importantly it's obvious why it's such an inexpensive flight. Huge baggage fees when you check in. Especially for a carry on bag. Seriously, who charges $38 for a carry on plus $50 or more for a checkin.? And seat fee also. Ridiculous."
Pros: "I tried to check in on line. No one sent me the check in mail. I tried many times. Since kayak sent it to price line, I tried with price line and it said to go directly to spirit. I went to spririt many time but unsuccessful. I fill in information but drops the information. I decided to check in at airport. Trains made big delays and arrived airport 45 min before departure and dead line was 1 hour before. I was cut. No other flights were available except for the same one on the next day. They charged $99 for change fee. I missed many appointments, spent extra $99. There is very little direct flights between phl and lax, and price seems good at the beginning but ended up expensive and lost one day, spirit had very very bad service and I don't want to use it again."
Cons: "I want to receive mail for check in. Spirit should repair their website so that people can check in on line. They should make people check in at airport if they had a failure on their web. Check in dead Lind needs to move to 40min prior to departure instead of 60 min. if it was caused by their failure, they should not charge for change fee of $98. I just hate spirit."
Cons: "The flight was delayed nearly 5 hours due to mechanical problems. As an early morning flight, the mechanical issues were known in advance--the plane did not arrive as scheduled the night before--yet passengers were not notified until check in at the airport. We could have made other arrangements (or slept until a normal hour) if we had been promptly notified. The gate agents were not understanding, and no accommodation--such as complimentary soft drinks--was made for our inconvenience. I felt like Spirit wasted my day."
Pros: "Absolutely nothing. Our flight was scheduled for 750a. We wake up 5am to ge to the airport, while waiting for the cab I decided to check my email to find out the flight was cancelled due to "mechanical issues". Which means they didn't sell out the flight. The rep I called caught a lot of my animosity, which the issue wasn't her fault, but she remained professional to her credit. The next flight was the next morning already a day into my vacation. I declined cause I wasnt gonna be Charlie Brown to thier Lucy. She then closed out the phone call with the normal spill, "we appreciate your business, book online, we are always here for you etc." This further annoyed me. My vacation was ruined and you think I would ever give Spirit another shot at anything at all in my life."
Pros: "I liked the fare price compared to other airlines."
Cons: "Where to start? The simple fact that a boarding ticket would cost 10 dollars if you happen to forget or not print one at home, has to be some kind of joke. The seats are even funnier until the end of the flight when you stand up and it's a relief. Not to mention they're just plastic wrapped in leather so the sweat marks in my khaki shorts were very apparent. Thankfully the airport bathrooms had hand dryers low enough to dry them. The little bungee cords that have taken the place of a full pocket on the seat backs that would typically hold my cell phone were subpar. Ya know because the aircraft was so sporty in flight my phone would go flying out of the impromptu "pocket". And since we're talking about the aircraft now, I saw the small sign on the outside of the plane that said "fit fleet" claiming to be the youngest aircraft out there. Jesus I mean, my return flight was delayed two hours and the captain had the nerve to say " don't really know what caused that" well with my background in aviation I know that typically doesn't mean anything good. The aircraft may have been lacking in sound proofing below because things like the landing gear deploying and retracting were sounds anyone would cringe at. So overall I've realized that the extra 40 to 60 dollars for another carrier will probably be well worth it."
Cons: "This airline is serious about "no frills." I didn't realize this until check-in: my "cheap" ticket would get me absolutely nothing in terms of accomodations that most travelers depend on, like a carry-on bag. "No frills" policy aside - the check in process was HORRIBLE. I thought I could easily check in using my cell phone -- wrong. This website has no mobile version for cell phone users. I had to get my laptop to easily navigate the very slow website. Even when navigaing on the laptop, I had trouble navigating around between pages. I couldn't return to the previous page to de-select my chosen seats. It was also difficult to choose an option that didn't include PAYING for the seats."

Cons: "The baggage fares. I need the domestic flight to connect to my international flight. So I had to pay $124 on baggage which is totally free for my international flight. Won't be flying Spirit next time I need a connecting flight. We waited 2 hours inside the plane at the gate before departing. We just informed we were delayed because of paper work and only after 1 hour we got an update. After an hour and a half we were told we could get off the plane if we wanted to get something to eat or drink... I'm tall so my legs were crammed. I guess the quote is true: you get what you pay for. Pay cheap, get cheap comfort, cheap service and expensive luggage fare!"

Cons: "Charging for every single thing they can possibly charge you for. The icing on that cake is that they even charge you for water in flight. Now, that is so horrible. Only taking credit cards too. There are many older people on these flights that do not even have credit cards.... so they may not have water? Cheap flight!!??? nope, add everything together and with flight attendants that don't want to be there and a captain that let us sit on the tarmac for a good 15 minutes before thinking he should tell us what's going on. That was my first and it is my last Spirit flight! And i am telling everyone that i know not to fly Spirit. Some people I have told have stories of their own and said they won't fly Spirit ever again too."
Cons: "We were unable to board out flight. We arrived at the airport 50 minutes before our flight. We tried but were unable to print our boarding passes at home. When we got there we waited behind 2 couples before getting up to the attendant. When we got to the front they told us we were too late and could not take our flight. We were 44 minutes before our flight and they close their system at 45 minutes. We called customer service and they told us the supervisor could open the flight and let us on if we showed her that we tried to print our boarding passes and could not. We had a picture and showed her but she did not care. She was not letting us on our flight for anything. I don't know if she was on a power trip or what but I have NEVER experienced such poor customer service and unwillingness to help a customer in my life. They then told us they could book us on the next flight out, which was the next day. We went to American and flew American. They were super helpful and got us on a flight out 2 hours later. Thankfully for American we only missed the first night of our conference and not a full day, like Spirit would have had us miss. I will never fly spirit again after that experience."
Cons: "Spirit airlines cancelled our flight because of weather but every other airline continued to fly out. In fact, we were able to get a flight out at almost exactly the same time on American Airlines. The worst part was that they were trying to reschedule us for 2 days later!! They said that was the soonest we could fly on their airline. Im not sure who on earth can change their plans by 2 days at the last minute but it sure wasn't an option for us. There also was to be no help for the 2 nights (at 250$ per nigh0t we would have had to stay at a hotel."
Pros: "There is nothing that I liked about flying this airline"
Cons: "From the minute we walked up to check in the staff was unpleasant and unprofessional. There are two signs, one specified that if you have a boarding pass you should join that line (assuming it would make the check in process shorter and less stressful) however we were told that there is only one line. My dad proceeded to recommend that they close the entrance to that particular line and was flagged off by the male gentleman at the counter. When I booked this flight I was very much aware that I had to pay for our bags however I had no idea that booking a flight for $180 would require paying $450 in baggage fees, one way. For four tickets I paid approximately $800 and will pay the same for my bags to fly. There is no reason why a flight to Florida for my family and I should cost $1600. Why is spirit the only airline with a 40lb weight limit. I fly frequently and was shocked when I go to the airport and was told that I needed to pay an additional $117 for bags. I did sign up for the membership with Spirit and i would like it refunded as I, nor my family, will ever fly with this airline ever again. Yes you have a young fleet however, I have yet to encounter one in my travels yesterday that was pleasant. I've worked in hospitality industry for over 15 years and frequently fly and have never had such a terrible experience. If I didn't have a return flight on spirit, I would not be flying with you ever again. But just know I've had my one experience and I will no longer. I was warned by others however I didn't listen."

Cons: "Spirit sent me an email the morning of the flight telling of long TSA lines and people missing flights because of them. They advised me to come early. I get to the airport to find out SPIIRT won;t check my bag unti 9:00 am. They told me it was a TSA rule. I asked them why send me the email to come early. He didn't know. They were so busy, he was sitting on the luggage conveyor belt while 2 other spirit check in reps spent the next hour yacking with a security guard. Oh yeah, it took me all of ten minutes to get through the TSA line. There were only fifty people on the flight to Detroit with about 75 seats open. Even though I'm handicapped, then stuck in the middle of a 3 seat row in the back of the plane. Won't use Spirit again nor Kayak for making them a viable option on your site."
Cons: "What entertainment? There isn't any available. And then they pushed a Spirit Visa credit card application on us at the end of the flight and tried to entice us with frequent flier miles.....it was very tacky and low class."

No more Sprit flights after we return from this one."
Cons: "I didn't like that I paid for a flight plus they trick you and don't tell you that they charge $40 each way for a carry on and $10 to print a boarding pass. Then tell everyone at the gate the flight is delayed and I never got to fly. They literally shut the door in my face while the plane was still there and their excuse was that they would have to restart boarding in order to let me on. It was the most out rages ridiculous thing and they wouldn't give me a refund either So I pay for a flight that I never got to fly on Never use them again"

Cons: "For starters, I get an email telling me I have to check in online or pay $10 to do it with a person (I'm ok with online check in but seriously?!). Then during online check in I come to find that you have to pay for carry-on luggage, and if you don't pay the $45 for it online you will pay upwards of $100 when you get there. Next I come to discover, although I bought a ticket I did not actually have a seat. I had to pay anywhere between $9-$45 to guarantee "I could sit next to my friend", if not I could take a gamble and not have a seat. Once we were seated on the place it turns out your seat is not guaranteed, two poor gentlemen behind my husband and myself were booked with the same seat. The amount of people I heard verbally express they were dissatisfied was so far greater than any "low fare" prices they offer. There is no form of entertainment (which I can deal with) and no complementary snacks or beverages; again, I can deal without them but they are such a standard on other airlines. Finally, I grew very annoyed with all their reminders as to why they do the things they do, in fact to "keep our fares low". I'm sorry your fares are not great because all of the hidden costs. Needless to say, I won't be flying spirit EVER again."
Cons: "Spirit cancelled our flight two hours after its original take-off time, only informing us via e-mail. Passengers had to use the intercom system at the gate to get a live person to come talk to us and even then it was airport staff, not actual Spirit employees. The staff at the Spirit check-in counter would not help us, and our checked baggage was held hostage for two more hours with no word from Spirit as we all waited at the baggage claim. I have never experienced such poor customer service. I realize this is a cheap company, but if you can't even expect minimum service you're only wasting money and time. This company should not be in business."

Cons: "The Flight Attendants weren't pleasant...one short "black Attendant serving in "Coach" seemed so miserable. She wasn't pleasant AT ALL! Her demeanor was as if she just would rather be somewhere else, anywhere else but here on this flight serving us. The other Attendants weren't overly friendly either, but they weren't as obviously indifferent as this short one was. The Pilot was the nicest part of the whole Fight. Also the fact that I had to pay $50.00 to check my bag $55. to be able to bring it on the plane...the most I've had to pay EVER! thus-far. So the money I saved w/ this Airline cost me more than if I were to have booked my flight w/ another Airline. Also, NO MAGAZINES TO READ, NO MOVIES TO WATCH, FOOD WAS BEING OFFERED AT A PRICE 4 times they dId this..I FOUND THIS TO BE EXTREMELY "TACKY" Especially considering the length of this FLIGHT to CALIFORNIA frm Philadelphia. I never had to pay for in-flight refreshments on shorter flights than this one. I''VE flown more than I ever have in this past year w/ different Airlines and this was the worse experience SO Far! It wasn't worth it! I am NEVER FLYING ANYWHERE W/ THIS AIRLINE AGAIN! I'd rather pay a little more than to be "NICKELED & DIMED" TO DEATH! Also the two passengers I sat next to said the same! Cons: "Late flight. Delayed flight on and then delayed again... unable to tell us when the flight would take off.. unable to rebook flight to the next morning... Airport reported that plane was broken and required a part from JFK airport and that they did not know when that part would arrive...and once it arrived they had no idea how long it would take to fix that plane. Then approaching the new 3 hour and 40 minute delayed flight time, we ended up switching gates to a different plane anyway. the plane got into Dallas around 330AM which was difficult to make arrangements for transportation upon arrival. Would not fly again."

Pros: "Notification of the cancelled flight was provided in a timely fashion. Alternative travel options were offered and provided to us at no extra charge to us."
Cons: "When providing us alternative travel arrangements, Spirit staff took the easiest alternative flights rather than looking a little longer to provide alternatives that more closely matched our original travel agenda. Instead of a direct flight from Philly to Atlanta with a two hour travel time, we were offered a 6 hour ordeal with two stops, Boston and Charlotte."
