Know that the movies that you are going to be offered are the oldest be rated movies they could possibly get. They may have one or two new movies that they keep advertising but when you’re flying 15 hours, there is nothing to see past the first new movie.
Friendly crew, but we were delayed for more than an hour and had to change planes due to maintenance issues.
Service was professional and quick. Premium economy seat was comfortable given the class
Like: departed and arrived on time. Unlike: Food options for purchase allways bad, 1 of 2 of the crew members not very friendly at all. Seats and leg room aweful. At this point I am thinking on switching to AA.
Packed flight, which makes it tough on crew and boarding staff (and the customers of course). But this was great boarding, clear instructions, etc. Traveling on the weekends are always fraught with danger as you have families and less frequent flyers thus more confusion. But this flight went as planned.
New plane was lovely. Crew customer service is always lax but expected. Kraft on time and arrived safely.
We tried to upgrade to economy premium but were told this was not possible as we had booked through United Airlines (and Air Canada was operating the flight). This seemed silly given there was ample space in economy premium. Additionally, we had to wait almost 1.5 hours upon arrival to taxi to the gate. Otherwise, the crew were very pleasant and passengers were friendly.
Connection coordination with Star Alliance partner could be better. Lots of check in setup was not interlinked between operators.
There was no lounge for passengers waiting before boarding the aircraft at F65, so passengers are just sitting on the floor or just spread everywhere the premises before boarding.
The seats seem to be a little cramped, and there really is no entertainment unless you use your own device, which I'm not able to do.
The flight was smooth, the plane was spacious and clean, the staff was kind and the food was decent.
Flight crew was great, and even the crew for checking bags! I had a question for a friend of mine flying tomorrow and the man I talked to was awesome and answered my questions and looked up things for me when he didn’t have to! I was able to give her current & accurate info for her flight and she was so appreciative too!!
We left over 2 hours late and they didn't even give us a complimentary snack, when getting to the desk I asked if I could be put in a row with only 1 other person or an empt y one I was told the flight was full when the last two rows were empty. All around over it
They are very proactive and made our boarding easy and always notified us about any changes well in advance.
Great flight. Only complaint is it took over an hour for my luggage to get to the carousel on the return to LAX That was irritating
Mixed experienced. Nice staff. Spacious 787 better than cramped Airbus, though my seat was broken. The bad: Way overpriced ticket and charged for food despite 6 hr flight.
The flight was good although we were late. But I did not like having to pay for headphones on a flight more than 5 hours & an international flight. They said it isn’t considered an international flight yet I started in Canada & ended up in the US, I call that international. Also they were out of the food I wanted and I was sitting mid plane. Too early to run out of selections.
I waited almost one hour for a w/c that had been requested when I arrived at Dorval airport causing me little time to use the restroom and purchase liquids before my departure as I was very dehydrated. So many employees just hanging out with each other with apparently no duties to perform while I was waiting for my w/c. It took so long to get me through immigration. I was not advanced as a single passenger through the line as well as through security. A dramatic change since my prior travels..
The attendants were pleasant. Getting on board erratic. No one knew where to board. Last minute gate changes.
The ground crew win Montreal was clueless with regards to handling any type of mobility assistance device. Food was terrible with very poor choice in premium economy. Once again with Air Canada, the TV screens were not workibg the entire flight.
