Pros: "The service was great, the flight was timely, attendants were friendly."
Cons: "The vegetarian option could have been better (it was noodles with red sauce)."
Pros: "It's all great. Recommended"
Cons: "Terrible customer service"
Pros: "I like the food which were served, I like everything overal"
Pros: "I liked the idea of offering a tour of Istanbul during long connections that Turkish airlines offer. The tour that I went on was a 2.5 hour bus ride with sightseeing from the window mostly - still it was very nice. The people organizing passengers in groups for the tour in the airport however were not so nice. When I said "I have a question", the guy literally ROLLED HIS EYES at me."
Cons: "The crew was somewhat rude and unwelcoming, both in the plane and on the ground. The seat is not comfortable in comparison with other transatlantic flights - somehow the crew and the seats were so much better on my connecting TK flight within Europe."
Pros: "Excellent service, entertainment, the food and drink options were good and a 10 hour flight was made as comfortable as can be."
Cons: "Worst flight I have ever been in. Horrible leg space. It was so uncomfortable."
Pros: "The tv because I got to watch a couple of movies"
Cons: "The crew did not know what they were doing. My grandmother needed a wheel chair and the lady who took her did not allow any of us to stay with her , mind you my grandmother can't speak English. The lady also told us that she didn't need the passport or her boarding pass ??? Because of that my grandmother almost got lost , we had to wait for her for an eternity. She got very scared and very upset for what you guys did . She is an old lady and it was one of her worst experiences of her life"
Pros: "I liked the movie options and the fact that we were given blankets and pillows."
Cons: "I was told in Vienna that I would be allowed to carry my Kindle onto my flight from Istanbul to the USA. I was not able to and had to wait in a very long line both in Istanbul and in the US. I understand the change in regulations, but it is important that all employees of Turkish airlines are aware of the change. We also waited one hour on the runway in Istanbul. Additionally, there was a small section of the plane which received food roughly an hour later than the rest of the plane. I was on this section, and was uncomfortably hungry by the time I received food."
Pros: "Turkish Airlines has an excellent entertainment system"
Cons: "They used to have more legroom"
Cons: "Not enough room between rows. Can't recline seat if table behind is open."
Cons: "It was an hour late arriving!"
Pros: "new aircrafts, easy boarding ontime departure and arrival"
Cons: "Staff needs to be more friendly, food needs to be better in quality (ie.Etihad food is amazing). knowing that the flights are going to INDIA & PAKISTAN they should add some indian Pakistani channels"
Pros: "the crew"
Cons: "the draft from the air conditioner"
Pros: "Turkish was the only airline I've flown that actually did not give the impression of nickle and diming but really made clear and concerted and well executed efforts to exceed expectations on all fronts, even food and drink. A huge accomplishment. They really put most of their competitors to shame."
Cons: "Only issue was that the videos kept freezing up, though they did remedy that problem. And I wish they had a foreign hub further to the west. Much as I loved the airline, I would only fly them again to Turkey or further east. It took me 22 hours door to door from Venice to Portland, Maine, when it shouldn't have been much more than half that. It's just too Far East to be a very practical option for visiting Western Europe from the US."
Pros: "All flight segments were on time, the crew was very pleasant, but the main thing was that I felt that the cabin noise was lower than the other airliners .... ????"
Cons: "no issues"
Pros: "Liked the food and service"
Cons: "Staff was a bit rude"
Cons: "There wasa cue 100 m before the gate at Istanbul Airport. The cue became a crowd ahead 4 gates, everybody nervous, pushing, no order, late for boarding, no information. Never seen such nervous crowd."
Cons: "I asked for sugar 3x before finally getting it (1 hour), but by then the coffee was cold and I had to request a new one and wait another 10 mins :)"
Cons: "Excellent service"
Pros: "Large set of movie choices to pick from."
Cons: "Disappointed that I couldn't choose my meal options - was given a menu that said you could pick between more than one meal. But every single time the food cart arrived (6 total among 4 flights), was told there was no options."
Pros: "The food, the hotel vouchers, the staff, the plane. I love everything about Turkish Airways"
Pros: "I am not a picky person to me every thing was great taking into consideration that you cant satisfy every one."
Cons: "Not every one can follow the speed of the way you announce things, remember your flight take people from different continents in the world Also not having some where to sit while waiting for the information of which gate to go it is very challenging. The AC was almost killing the older people not me but the older lady sat next to me complained all the time but it didn't work. I know it is the challenge difficult to solve however you can give them some advise. Find a private space to talk with sick people because some people might not be comfortable to talk in front of every one."
Pros: "the food . the warm facecloth, and the attendants were very helpful the slippers and mask were a nice touch similar to japan air"
Cons: "the video on both 9 hour flights had problems. on the way to turkey it didn't work at all on the way back one of the movies took over the screen it thought it was displaying the whole movie but other than the progress meter there was nothing on the screen and you couldn t turn it off , hence no video for 2 1/2 hours not so good"
Pros: "Excellent food. Excellent service. Very friendly people."
Cons: "Seating was a little cramped... Like all airlines today."
Cons: "Frequent announcements"
Cons: "As said above"
Pros: "friendly crew excellent service good food"
Pros: "Turkish Airlines is very comfortable and they go above and beyond to make their meals and flight experience wonderful!"
Cons: "Lufthansa left us stranded in Dublin"
Pros: "Smooth. No turbulence. On time."
Cons: "Staging at the gate was chaotic and disorganized. The passengers formed a big mob since there were no instructions for where to form lines for an organized boarding. Passengers could not hear boarding instructions from the front desk."
Cons: "Retrieval of my luggage in Boston took over 45 minutes. What good is it having Global Entry when other passengers behind me in Customs are getting their bags first?!?!?! Make good on my inconvenience Luftwaff."
Cons: "Nothing to note"
Pros: "Staff tried hard to serve food"
Cons: "Very stinky person sitting in front of me and because there is no air jets to regulate had to breath 9 hours of stinky armpits Stayed 20 min on the plane or more waiting until gate would open."
Pros: "Excellent overall. Much communication from the cockpit to explain weather delay etc. two meals transAtlantic. Genuinely friendly crew. Wine with economy meals a pleasant surprise, Electronic check-n and Gaye change alerts very smooth Lufthansa will be my first choice next time I fly."
Pros: "See previous comments"
Pros: "Very comfortable journey, was a pleasure to travel."
Pros: "Good variety of on-board entertainment"
Cons: "We were in last row of our section of the plane and space was very cramped, especially for my 6'1" husband. It was not a very physically comfortable flight."
Pros: "nice clean plane"
Cons: "the wifi is free but doesn‘t work. flynet app didn‘t pair"
Pros: "Large screens for movies are excellent. Very easy to use."
Cons: "Other international carriers have better food, but it wasn't bad. Other carriers have business class cabin designs (Cathay Pacific for instance) which allow the window seat passenger to get out without disturbing the aisle passenger."
Pros: "I enjoyed the sleep."
Cons: "No enough leg room for a slender Man of 5 foot 7 inches."
Pros: "Good movies and TV to choose from."
Cons: "Food sucks. Bland and gooey pasta as vegetarian option."
Pros: "They gave me an exit row seat! Tons of leg room which made the trip for a tall guy like myself super comfortable. Service superb as always with Lufthansa. Checking in luggage very easy (someone actually can do it himself). Boarding fast and efficient."
Cons: "We were in the middle at the very back of the plane. It was quite bouncy for some time during the flight. The stewardess informed us that that was typical for seats at the back of the plane. It is not easy to choose your seats when you buy the ticket online, but I would prefer a calmer location. Also I was squeezed when the person in front of me leaned back in her seat. Service was excellent, however."
Pros: "For a direct flight between the N.E. and Frankfurt, it is one of the best."
Cons: "As with all flights, I wish there was more room. It is tough for a 6 ft 2 inch person. I can't imagine being taller or heavier than I am and what it must be like."
Pros: "There was a problem with baggage self checkin and it was hard to tell what to do"
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above"
Pros: "food and service"
Cons: "All good"
Cons: "The seat-back screens were very annoying and not very responsive."
Cons: "The vegan meal. No airline appears to know how to make a healthy and tasty meal."
Cons: "Food was disappointing...especially 'pizza' at the end. Crew was very helpful to family with baby."
Pros: "i received an unexpected upgrade which worked out very well."
Pros: "Seats, crow attitude, on-time flight"
Cons: "They misplaced my oversized luggage even after I paid the overpriced $100 fee (87 euro cash only) for a 2nd checked bag. It was not defined by weight or size, but a straight fee of $100 for any kind of extra bag"
Pros: "I like everything about your operation. my experience with you was far better to what i experienced fly another airline last time i visited United States. thank you."
Cons: "Crying children!"
Cons: "Delayed taking off due to airport queue."
Pros: "Very family-friendly"
Cons: "i could bring checked baggage from Bos-fra, fra-cdg, cdg-fra but it was taken from me on fra-bos flight as being too big! bag came out very late on baggage claim food was poor, they ran out of food, it was served late in my section and there was no choice left. one option only which i could not eat."
Pros: "I ordered gluten free meals on both of my longer flights and the crew seemed to have difficulty distributing them to the appropriate seats. My flight from Boston-Munich was fine but on my return trip from Frankfurt-Boston, I didn't receive a gluten free meal and the passenger behind me was given my gluten free snack."
Pros: "Lufthansa was great . It was just that the weather did not cooperate in Boston."
Pros: "I appreciated the advance boarding for families traveling with younger children. Plenty of time to settle in with the kiddos."
Pros: "The staff was very friendly once I managed through the line for the rebooking because of the strike."
Cons: "Strike holding passengers hostages. This was not the reputation of Lufthansa and the poor relationship between the staff and managment in the past 2 years will make me reconsider travelling with this company."
Cons: "Person in front of my reclined while I was eating"
Cons: "The special menus items do not cater to people who have peanut and tree nut allergies. i was only able to eat pretzels and drink coca cola."
Cons: "Foods usually not bad but the sausage and beef was absolutely disgusting."
Cons: "Pay for Wi fi"
Pros: "Lufthansa - The best."
Cons: "The flight attendants that provided service in my row where not very friendly and at times rude."
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above And landing was extremely hard.!"
Cons: "I saw fly inside the cabin, disgusting."
Pros: "same as above"
Cons: "same as above"
Cons: "Patronizing crew."
Pros: "only negative was whining child whose parents did not seem to care if whole plane was disrupted. Had tv available so watched olympics most of way home. Also, beer or wine with dinner"
Cons: "Long lines at security check before the gate. Our luggage was lost"
Pros: "Professional staff and condition of the plane"
Cons: "Ran out of meal choices"
Cons: "I will not be taking this airlines again"
Pros: "Food was better than on my flight from BOS to fra. Service was good."
Cons: "Boarding. They board priority and then everybody which makes boarding hard. Prolongs it on the plane."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled. Ground staff at Montreal were far from helpful. They kept saying “Call customer service.” and never offered any help/assistance for rebooking and finding a hotel room."
Cons: "Held on the plane for 3 hours while waiting to de-ice"
Pros: "Crew and staff were pleasant"
Cons: "Consistently the longest shortest flight in Canada"
Cons: "Delayed over an hour then cancelled last minute, rebooked on a flight the next day that didn't leave until noon, had to call into reservations to get on an earlier flight on another airline"
Pros: "The connecting flight was with air Canada. In general the flight was fine. Landed on a Saturday afternoon."
Cons: "What was not fine was the horror at the other end when air Canada lost my bag (which had my suit and prescriptions) and couldn't tell me where it was or when it would be delivered for over two days of calling between their service centre and one the ground people at Boston. The call centre was in India, no one in Boston would tell them what was going on. It should not take three days to sort, when the bag had actually been sent on the next flight (on Saturday evening) after the one I took. Fortunately, was able to borrow BP medication from a relative and ultimately had to spend money to buy new suit and clothes before bag finally appeared because I had business meetings for which I needed appropriate attire. Every other airline I gave flown where my bag was delayed was always delivered in 24 hours. This was not Brussels airlines fault, it was the fault of air Canada."
Pros: "The flight from Toronto to Boston is extremely short, about an hour. I don’t feel as though I can rate the food since I didn’t buy any, it just doesn’t give me an option to not rate it. It was a completely full flight. It was as comfortable as can be. It’s a smaller plane so you feel everything but the captains were good flyers."
Cons: "I’m not sure if this is something I can really complain about but I wish the flight attendants would’ve spoken a bit lower. For a plane where half of the people there had missed their connecting flight and were put on a 6:30 am flight, I don’t think we wanted to hear about their detailed personal lives."
Pros: "That we eventually got a flight home."
Cons: "Being stuck in Boston and Ottawa for 2 extra days and adding around $1200 on to our trip in hotels alone (I was travelling with 4 kids on a school trip and my wife). Additionally, we didn’t find out the flights were cancelled until we arrived at the airport. Apparently, they had been cancelled 2 hours before but there was no notification. Air Canada offered no help whatsoever and the guy at the “service” desk in Boston literally said there was nothing he could do to help. Not even find a new flight. Spent 90 minutes on the phone trying to re-book, plus re-booking hotel along the way."
Pros: "Boarding, service, entertainment we're all good."
Cons: "Early morning flights from Toronto to Boston are a bit bumpy usually. Pilots do their best to maneuver around those."
Pros: "Was confusing because united and air Canada were involved so had to triple check what airline and terminal we'd arrive in back in states."
Cons: "Hot day small hot plane for awhile"
Pros: "Same as above"
Cons: "Immigration was painfully slow and why getting checked again when just coming from another plane? wait time for luggage far too long seems an airport issue same movies"
Pros: "We flew to and from Tokyo in premium economy. The staff was friendly and multilingual. We appreciated the meals, each of which had a choice of Western or Japanese style; the overnight hospitality packs, which included a pillow and blanket, eye mask, earplugs, toothbrush, and comfy socks; and the unusual international movie options. Each flight kept more or less to schedule."
Cons: "The seat were roomy enough, but not as comfortable as we might like. Announcements took forever in three languages—I'd edit down. The breakfast rice congee was flavorless. One of our entertainment screens kept freezing. All minor gripes."
Cons: "For some reason we were forced to check our luggage (standard curry-ons) however it would completely fit to ovehead bins. Also waiting area were completely cut-off from Duty-Free shops - as soon as you passed security - no access to shopping area."
Cons: "Still waiting to try to get on a flight via the standby option, and even that flight keeps getting delayed and the gate was changed. The whole trip has been a clusterf***."
Cons: "I missed my flight due to new regulation eTA. why not warning people when purchase the ticket?"
Pros: "Clearing immigration in Vancouver is very convenient"
Cons: "Food choices are limited and expensive."
Pros: "Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful, but they can only do what is within corporate rules to help you. Their corporate policies are NOT GOOD!"
Cons: "Flying Air Canada is horrible! They nickel & dime you to the point of tears. They charged me $15 per leg to make advanced seat assignments ($60 total) then changed my flights and put me in middle seats on two legs without asking me - I didn't find out until I was ready to board and they called my name to come to the gate desk! They also charge $33+ US to check one bag. If you go over the 50 lb weight limit they charge $100. By the time you add it all up, I could have flown on Delta through the US for less. Trying to get my seat selection fees reimbursed was very difficult; At the airport, they told me to go online and ask for a refund; Online, I couldn't find the way to get to the refund link; Called Customer service again, who gave me an 800# to call for a refund; the person on the 800 # told me I had to request it online but walked me through it to find the refund link; I filled in the online request and was told by automatic reply that Air Canada would investigate it and get back to me within 3-4 weeks. Ugh! No more Air Canada for me!"
Pros: "Small planes but still in seat screens. Good seat room."
Cons: "Pearson is awful. One of the slowest airports in the world."
Cons: "We miss the opportunity to order an appetizer on the flight; a fun part of any travel experience."
Pros: "Vegan options for snacks were given which was great. Courteous staff were attentive and polite."
Cons: "It's a basic flight, not much to complain about. My standards are generally low."
Pros: "Buult-in entertainment system, good selection of programs to watch, ok customer service."
Cons: "Two and a half hour delay on an 1:20 flight. I fly with Air Canada often, and delays are constant, especially on the evening flights. WestJet, which services the same route, doesdoesn't have this problem."
Cons: "Many of us were refused boarding on the connecting flight. They gave away our seats. I arrived at the transvfer counter50 minutes prior to the flight. I was first. Gave excuse that bag must go with me. Customs confirmed that this is AC not customs. To add insult, they flight to Montreal was late, the flight to Boston was late, and finally my bag NEVER was on either flight so there excuse was an out right lie. I missed half the weekend home in over a month. AC doesn't value my time and I don't value their service. Every time I go back to this airline I realized why I left. Going to Asia; don't get suckered into using this route. BTW a friend on PVG-YUL-BOS never made it as well. AC still using a CRJ200 that can't land in weather. NOT A BUSINESS CLASS EXPERIENCE."
Pros: "Took off a bit late (40mins.) and we were anxious to get home! Other than that, no complaints!"
Cons: "There was a major winter storm on the way, and the flight should have been canceled like every other flight to Boston was. Long story short, we couldn't land in Boston due to the storm. So we flew not to Boston, but to Quebec City. They would not let us off the airplane. Eventually we flew back to Montreal where we started. More than 7 hours on a plane with no food, and they only offered us water. The flight should have been cancelled in the first place. That would have been a lot less stressful to deal with."
Pros: "It was excellent. Though due to snowfall, flight took off late due to de-icing but taking safety precautions is a best practice."
Pros: "This was my first time in Canada never been there before I had a great time until that one moment I had to deal with workers from air Canada except one agent at the ticketing desk....I had checked in online the day before however I had some card issues because they got shut down by my bank and due to the holiday in America I was unable to call my Bank prior to the airport....got to the airport and tried to explain that all I wanted to do was pay for my bag with cash ...but no one took the time out to listen each time i tried explaining myself I was send to a different location to join another line ....by the time I got to someone who was willing to listen my flight was closed ..her name was Aurora and gave me nothing but attitude when I explained my story......anyways finally got to ticketing and a met the only agent that day who exercise some level of customer service that day...if only I could remember her name ...sigh she went the extra mile because at this point I was frustrated and unsure if I would make it out of the country a sane person due to the amount of chaos I experienced prior. She got LISTENED .....SHE TOOK THE TIME TO LISTEN...got me on a new flight and went above an beyond to assist me that morning I was on the verge of a breakdown at that point all other staff member was very disgusting not only to my self but the other individuals who had mishaps that morning."
Pros: "long delay with no explanation, surly staff, poor communication"
Cons: "AirCanada did not tell me that I needed a transit visa for Canada. So I couldn't board the flight. They also refused to reroute me or refund the ticket. They were not sympathetic or helpful."
Pros: "Good job to the Logan Airport ground crews & FA, flight# AC7677 FA from YYZ to Bos, flight#AC 362 did a good job aswell. Overall, im satistied."
Cons: "I don't like the boarding system from Bos to YYZ & vice versa. Why not start from the rear part (zone 5) instead of starting from zone1. just saying."
Pros: "Nothing in particular stood out in Montreal or the flight to Boston, as better than average...meh"
Cons: "Our Swiss crew told us over the loudspeaker several times that "even if connecting we still need to get our luggage" which turned out to be false as our luggage was transferred to the Boston bound plane automatically... We were ushered out as a group to a connection security check which required electronic kiosks to be used for scanning our passports photos and fingerprints... They fraught with malfunctions then after waiting in line for s while we did the whole check all over again with s human security agent in s booth... There were only 2 security agents in the booths as well but there really needed to be several more to keep the line moving quicker... After security we walk directly out to departures but no mention of baggage claim, which was fine had we not been misinformed by Swiss initially... We ended up inquiring several times with SirCsnsda staff until it was clear Swiss had misinformed us."
Cons: "I did not take it."
Pros: "The flight itself was fine, free WiFi on board, movies to watch, stewards and stewardesses on board were very kind and attentive."
Cons: "I was originally flying WestJet, and the 7:05 AM flight I booked was cancelled. I hopped online and booked the 8:10 AM flight via Air Canada back to Boston. First, the flight was oversold, so only AFTER I was able to check my bag did I learn that I was flying stand-by. Completely nerve wracking. If I had known in advance I would have booked with another airline. I was able to get on the flight thanks to some volunteers who gave up their seats on the 8:10 AM flight for the next flight out (10:10 AM) in return for some monetary compensation. I arrived in Boston, and after waiting for 45 minutes, I learned my bag was put on the 10:10 AM flight rather than the 10:10 AM flight, but only after dealing with a snappy and disrespectful check-in attendant that seemed to not believe me that my bags indeed did not arrive. The office for baggage services for Air Canada was vacant and locked next to the carousel. Myself and a couple of other travelers, upon getting to the check-in counter and explaining the situation mistakenly lumped us all together and said "okay so you're all traveling together and your bags need to go the same place". Me: "No, that's incorrect, we are not related or traveling together, we just all have the same issue--none of our bags have arrived". Other Air Canada representative, who up to this point had not been involved in the exchange: "She didn't ask you if you were related, she asked you if your bags were lost" and then proceeded to roll her eyes and walk away from the counter. I suppose she misinterpreted my concern for rudeness and felt the need to put me in my place. Granted, my early morning flight cancellation and the stress associated with flying standby had nothing to do with them, but the attitude I was given as a concerned traveler whose bag was potentially lost was completely unwarranted. Compounded with the frustration of the entire morning I cannot describe how infuriating this exchange added up to being. I was told my bag would be delivered to my home by 4 PM that day. No bag. Got a phone call at 7 PM - they'd be there in the next hour. 10:00 PM and going to bed: No bag. I gave up and prepared to make a claim in the morning. 8:30 AM Sunday morning - my bag is sitting on my front porch wrapped in a trash bag. What a fiasco."
Pros: "Everything excep boarding on return flight."
Cons: "Delay on return & boarding was really slow! Not sure if it was the computers or attendants."
Pros: "Flight crew was friendly. They were dealing with a lot of crabby people due to a 4 hour weather delay. They handled it, some better than others."
Cons: "I checked my bag. It got soaked. I am talking drenched like dumped in a lake and left there for the 4 hours we were delayed in Toronto. When we contacted air canada the luggage complaint rep told us to complete an online claim. We haven't heard a peep out of Air Canada in a week. Unacceptable Air Canada. You must would at least acknowledge that something was done wrong by a baggage crew even if they aren't on your payroll and on an airports."
Cons: "Absolute joke of an airline with zero customer service. I would never travel with them again and would recommend anyone else not too."
Pros: "I liked waiting to fly until weather was good."
Cons: "I disliked the long delay, no time for the drink cart."
Pros: "I liked that they were quick and nice service."
Cons: "No games for entertainment."
Pros: "Crew was efficient, and the plane was on time."
Cons: "The seating and luggage storage was a bit cramped."
Cons: "After waiting 30 minutes after our boarding time, I got an email on my phone saying the gate had changed. No one at the current gate knew anything about it and I went to ask but no one could be found. I asked a man sitting behind the gate, who happened to be the pilot, and he also knew nothing about it. Needless to say, the gate changed and absolutely nobody was told about it. 2 hours later, our flight finally took off, and I was thanked by the pilot for getting us to the right gate... At least he provided a little humor to the situation! Plane also wasn't cleaned, pretzels and trash all over the floor."
Pros: "This was the smoothest flight I've ever had. Great pilot."
Cons: "It was a bit delayed."
Pros: "The crew was fantastic, really lovely and chipper!"
Cons: "There were only pretzels as a food option and I have celiac disease so I'm allergic to gluten. You can't just have one food option stop skimping. ALSO - I was put on a standby list which is entirely unacceptable. I purchased my ticket, therefore I should have a seat on a flight. Luckily in the end I was printed a ticket, but being on standby was just bullshit. Totally unacceptable."
Pros: "It left ontime and got me to where I needed to be."
Cons: "Pretzels are gross and dry. Jet Blue has much better snack choices. Overheard bins were really small on this small aircraft."
Pros: "For a small aircraft like that, it was really comfortable."
Cons: "No cookie."
Cons: "The woman at ticket counter was rude and not helpful"
Pros: "It was a pleasant experience , the whole travel"
Pros: "Great flight, entertainment system, flight staff made me feel at home"
Pros: "I enjoy flying and being in the air at high altitude in any air line. Away from everyone else and with a new family who are flying with me."
Cons: "The charge per bag is ridiculous. It should be included as part of fare paid. Understood another bag charge as a separate fee."
Cons: "The flight was late"
