The “Just ask Me” desk, set me up with another’s flight to a different airport LAG. I’m sitting in the airport waiting to board a flight who’s door close at 11:15am and everyone is still sitting here at 11:05am."

I hope I only have to fly JetBlue going forward!"

Flight was delayed by one hour, then another 1/2 hour then cancelled and changed till the next day. We were not allowed to get our luggage & put up in a dirty hotel. I had cockroaches in the bathroom. When I finally arrived home…i noticed the airline had damaged the zipper on my suitcase. An awful awful trip thanks to American Airlines.

The captain said 20 minutes til we can get a gate, but he'll try to get it sooner. He apparently didn't succeed, because it was 45 minutes (!!) before we got to the gate! As a result, 3 hours 15 minutes late. Officially this is "due to weather." Sure."

After everybody finally boarded the plane an announcement was made that somehow the luggage crew had damaged the cargo hold, and that everybody would have to deplane. It would take 45 minutes for maintenance crew to arrive to assess the situation. People got up, got their luggage out of the overhead bins, and started moving to the front of the plane. The pilot then came back on the intercom and told everyone they would have to return to their seats. Roughly an hour later we finally took off. It would have been the decent thing to do to AT LEAST offer the passengers something (i.e. comp drinks or snacks), but the cheapskates at United DIDN'T EVEN APOLOGIZE. Multiple people missed their connections. Fast forward to IAH--> SAT. Another late flight. This time, everybody boarded the plane only to be informed that due to a problem with the plane's computer everybody would have to sit on the plane while they "rebooted" its computers. This was done TWICE. UNITED AIRLINES, GET IT TOGETHER. There is a very good reason you are consistently ranked one of the WORST US-flagged carriers, which makes you one of the MOST HATED AIRLINES ON THE PLANET. I really and truly pray that the US airlines and their lobbyists lose their battle to prevent foreign flagged carriers from operating within the US, because you all deserve to go bankrupt."

Cons: "The service, entertainment, boarding, comfort, and crew haven't changed at all ever since I've flown with united. The crew just seemed to be there to get their pay checks not serve the customers."
Cons: "Having to pay $7.99 for entertainment is ridiculous, especially on an international flight. Just one more way to gouge customers. Especially as a 1K flyer, having to pay for entertainment is just a slap in the face."
Pros: "I've taken a number of airlines, but none as bad as United. I get bad weather, I wouldn't want to go up in a plane in a thunderstorm regardless of the circumstances....but I spent almost a day getting to my destination that should of only taken9 hours tops. Delay upon delay, arriving right when my next flight was leaving. Very rude staff, I saw an attendant yell at a mom and daughter like she was their mom. Non-apologetic to anyone. Their goal is to shove you in the plane and shove you out. Are they safe airline? Yes, they will get you to where you need to be...but not before they make your life hell. I don't normally do reviews on anything, but United still has me frustrated even a week later. I almost forgot, they did give $20 to eat. Do you know how expensive airport food is?"

Due to the lack of customer service and 6 hours of searching for someone who was willing to put in some effort, I am not sure I will fly United in the future. I had 48 hrs with my family and spent 24hrs traveling/waiting for a solution."

Ran all the way to my gate (73) and got there one minute before doors close to a woman on the phone who then left the desk without a word. Eventually I was made aware that nobody had boarded yet and they were running late- it just wasn’t posted and I didn’t receive and updates. Also they should offer complimentary snacks and not have to pay extra."

Cons: "My flight was delayed over FOUR HOURS! My flight was supposed to take off at 2:53 pm and we didn’t leave SFO until 6:39 pm! I received a text message at 9 am telling me that the flight was delayed until 4:05 pm....okay, no problem, I had not left for the airport yet, so no biggie. At 10:48 am, I received another text that the flight was delayed until 3:35 pm...still not a problem. A couple of minutes later, another text. My flight is now on time. Still no problem, because I usually add in 30 minutes in case Murphy of Murphy’s law shows up and throws a wrench into things. I get to the airport with plenty of time to spare & clear security... then get a new text notification at 2:08 saying that the flight is delayed for FOUR HOURS!!! Are you kidding me? On top of that, the customer service representatives made an announcement that there was a maintenance problem with the original airplane and a new one was enroute to take up the slack. They said this as a statement and offered no apologies or sorry for the inconvenience. They stayed at the check in desk for an hour, and then left and didn’t come bac until 20 minutes before the plane arrived at the gate. I will NEVER fly this airline again!"

Supposed to land in Orlando at 6 pm arrived at midnight. Should have read Frontiers reviews before I booked on them, never again."

There was no explanation of why, which doesn't always happen, but odd that alternate arrangements couldn't be made during that time. When it came to the planned boarding time, there was no update. The city name was removed from the board and a new one added. Still no update. We started boarding about 20 minutes after the delayed *departure* time. Passengers from the next listed flight kept shuffling in line, based on the confusion of the destination update displayed. It was a mess. Saving money on flights was not worth this hassle. Beyond the flight itself, here are some other gems of the experience: *upon arriving at the airport, at least half of the kiosks weren't working. There were hundreds of people in line, and five counters staffed. *when we arrived on our previous flight, we were early! However, there was a plane at our gate...and it had mechanical problems. We sat on the runway for at least half an hour."

Direct flight from LAX to CVG (redeye) so the time went by fast. The price was amazingly low and actually dropped $5 between booking and buying my seat so they gave me the new even lower price. Unbelievable. Picked up my boarding pass at the airport, attendant was very friendly."

The ol bate and switch. I was in a pickle, so instead of paying $57. I had to pay $238. Therefore my inexpensive trip sure was very expensive."
