Pros: "This is a full service airline that serves complimentary food and movies for a similar cost as low-end airlines like Spirit or Frontier. I was traveling from Punta Cana DR to Denver but had connects in Panama City & Miami. Because 3 flights is a long day of traveling I chose the emergency isle for my flight from Panama-Miami so i could stretch out with the extra leg room. Because I didn't speak fluent Spanish though, the crew had to move my seat. They upgraded me to 1st class! Amazing airline! Incredible crew! Shame most airlines in the US with their FU attitude don't operate this way."

So stressful!!! 2) In transit passengers catching connecting flights, Copa to Copa, have to go through their security again! What, why?? We cannot eat, drink and relax at the gate because no fluids are allowed AT YOUR GATE. We are not talking ourtside security, you are already in the security areas. Even to go to the bathroom you have to go in and out of security, again! Stupid!! We didn't leave the terminal, and you're making us miserable!"

They didn't wait and I had to stay 24hrs in ft lauderdale, had to pay for hotel, transportation and food - ZERO compensation or apologies from spirit. WILL NOT fly with them again and will make sure I tell a lot of people about my experience."

So unprofessional - they do not even have their own gate at Logan airport (had portable stand placed in front of a United gate, on which was not even listed the actual departure time of the flight.). Only reason I chose them was seeming lowest fare. But they ended up wanting $55 additional dollars for my small CARRY ON and $7 to choose my seat! Never again. Delta on way was a zillion times better experience - and cheaper!"

The 2 ladies at the gate let me stand there for 5 minutes and never asked what I needed. One finally came over rolled her eyes and told me I needed to sit down. I told her no because the flight was boarding and she told me standby needs to sit down and wait . However, I had a boarding pass and simply needed a seat assignment and when I said this she sucked her teeth and rolled her eyes again and took my boarding pass. Extremely rude. Inside an attendant proudly walked down the aisle saying "ugh what's wrong with you people and these phones these days." Then proceeded to get on the intercoms and say "I will have them take the plane back to the gate if you just can't be compliant." Were we on a school bus full of children going on a field trip? How about you explain the reasoning and importance behind needing to turn off cell phones and stop use and maybe you'll have more compliance than getting on the intercom and threatening the customers. I have never been on a flight like that and after my flight back home I never will again. Cheap flights or not it was just AWFUL."

Spirit did not tell us which carousel, so all the passengers roamed the baggage area, ground crew were no help. Check in both airports was terrible, took over an hour in line and I had all my paper work ahead of time. Spirit got me with the $9 club....sign up and get reduced baggage prices....in the fine fine print you find out it really is $59 and not $9, with no refund to cancel. This was my first and last Spirit flight."

Cons: "I hate thar spirit nickel and dimes you for each part of the flight. To print boarding pass at the counter is $10. To choose a seat is between $10-30. Luggage is $35. I chose my luggage before getting to the airport but did not choose seats. I was then unable to update luggage for the remainder of the day. When I went back to check the max weight for my one piece of luggage I could not get to the area on their site I paid for my luggage. I searched and searched as I was packing. I found information on the spirit site stating 50lbs. OK. I got to the airport and was told the max weight for my bag at that price was 40lbs. I had to pay an additional $25. My plane was then delayed because the auxiliary power source died. We had to get towed back to the gate to get a jump start. A few people scared by the issue and got off the plane. We arrived 1.5 hours late. The issue was Spirits. They made no offers for the inconvenience. Not even a free drink. I have also been bumped and stuck over night in as Spirit over books. Cons: "first flight (MSP to Fort Lauderdale) was 3 hours late which caused us to miss our connecting flight (also with Spirit) by 2 minutes because Spirit was unwilling to do what ALL major airlines have done in my experience of the last 30 years of flying. When your own airline has a delay usually the other plane is asked and willing to wait if we are just talking minutes. No options were offered for FLYING to Tampa for the same day. Waiting another 24 hours is not an option when you are booked into a resort for only 4 nights! After waiting in the airport for almost 3 hours on a promised shuttle from Fort Lauderdale to Tampa we finally left. This was supposed to be a quick break in the sun for my son who just lost his dad. What a terrible way to start our quick get-away. Also main stewart was unkind almost rude on the plane. He was teaching a rookie who was very kind and trying to be helpful but was discouraged to do so I have flown much in my life . This was my first and honestly most likely my last time flying with Spirit."

Cons: "Seats were cramped, flight delayed 4 hours, no outlets on the plane, a ridiculous price for wifi and after contacting them to reprimand us because their delay made us miss our scheduled bus, they wouldn't do anything for us. Is this airline in the business of travel and providing a professional service or is it in the business to make a profit"

Cons: "Hello my name is Keith Smith and I flew on spirit airlines on Februray 26 and when I got to LGA for my departing flight I was not notify by the airline before arriving to the airport that my flight was cancelled. I had to spend an additional $350 on a ticket to get to my destination. Spirit is a horrible airline and I will never book with them again in life"

Cons: "Everything else. Zero customer service. No explanation as to why my flight was so delayed, no one took the time to genuinely apologize for wasting everyone's time. Staff seemed uninterested and didn't offer any consolation to their patrons. Even when on the plane, flight attendants didn't even offer complimentary water. Any other airline I have ever been on, flight attendants would try to appease patrons by offering beverages, snacks, vouchers. No such service was offered. Two patrons actually got in a heated argument while on the plane because everyone on the plane was extremely agitated. Every adult on the plane was consuming alcohol on the flight as a means to cope with how inconvenienced they were. Flight attendants did not even offer to interject. Everyone left the flight angry and promising themselves that they would never fly Spirit again. I hate knowing that I have to return to NYC via Spirit. Went to customer service and was given an email address so I could complain. I have never been treated this way before where even customer service doesn't offer anything but a disingenuous apology. I feel like even the staff members don't want to work for Spirit. I will never fly Spirit again. Worst flying experience I have ever had."

Cons: "The cost of carrying a single checked bag was almost as much as my ticket. The flight left 55 minutes late, and the bags took a long time to arrive at the carousel. The threats of charging $100 for a bag at the gate or if your one personal item was a little too large was offensive. Charging $10 to have a representative print a boarding ticket was excessive. This airline is under-performing for my tastes, and I don't expect to use them again."

Pros: "I traveled to FLL for a Spirit FA interview and was hired! On the flight there, flight ops and in-flight services made great accommodations because the flight had a 2 hour and 30 minute delay. They moved me to the front of the aircraft to expedite my deplaning process and arranged for a taxi to take me to the interview! I have never had a better flight experience!"
Cons: "Both my flights were delayed but the in-flight and flight ops team made every effort to make sure I got to where I needed to be when I needed to be there. I genuinely had a fantastic flight experience."

I will never in my life fly with spirit ever again !!!! with all their hidden fees you are better off paying $10 more and flying with a better carrier. I would have rather rode a camel to Florida than taken spirit."
