Pros: "From Vancouver to Los Angeles, nice smiling crew on the ground and in the air. Nice spacious legroom, not squeezed in tight like other planes, woohoo :). Great free movie selection -- don't forget your earphones or you'll have to credit card one on the plane (the ones for iphone 7 don't work, so get normal plug-in earphones). Smooth flight."

Cons: "At the gate, we were told our plane would leave soon. An hour later, they announced the flight was cancelled and we were briskly escorted out of the terminal, told to go through customs and pick up our luggage, which had never even made it on to the plane. They were not re-booking flights at the airport, and the phone lines went to a voice mail message telling us to call back in a few days. I was stranded in Toronto with no phone and no where to stay. It's a week later and I still have not heard anything from from, even though I've called and emailed and sent snail mail."

The selection of entertainment was excellent. Good international films, in addition to the monocles 24 hours radio station. However, the food was mediocre, there was not enough food for a flight of 11 hours."

Pros: "The aircraft was a B787 - very nice, but Economy is still Economy. But, what made the difference was the Cabin Crew - Awesome. Every single one in the Cabin Crew, far exceeded the norm of Cabin Crew across various airlines I have flown for quite some time. I would definitely fly AC as a primary option in the future, just based on this Crew's performance!"

Cons: "Where do I start? Baggage check in is horrible and long. Wait in line for 1 hr with all counter open. Process just too long and too slow. Unclear of instruction for paying extra baggage. Security at gate taking too long to get through. Seat is too small, a larger person took almost 1/3 of my seat for the duration of flight and he wasn't that big. No noise control in aircraft, couldn't sleep at all (9hrs flight), kids and adult taking, playing like there home. The cabin smell very very unpleasant, due to body odor of passengers. Only 4 restroom for whole economy class, but 6 restrooms for 40 passengers of business class Due to the region of the air liner at, majority of passengers were rude, obnoxious, loud, and really really smell."

This group is probably just a little better Spirit Airlines, which I consider the worst airline I have ever flown on. Also, I had to pay exorbitant flight change fees. These flight changes should be free. If I have the option, I will not use Air Canada in the future."

Cons: "The Montreal airport is a zoo. I hoped it would be better than other places because it's smaller, but it wasn't. And I didn't fill out the correct customs form. The crew said that we should request a form from the USA if we were Americans, so I did. I have filled out that form many times, so I felt fine--until I got into the Customs area of the airport and learned that I needed to fill out a Canadian form too. So I had to do that before picking up my luggage. You would think that an Air Canada crew would know which forms I had to fill out and give them to me or at least ask questions so that I could be prepared when I went into the incredibly complicated maze to go through customs."

It should not be based on whether they check-in because Air Canada wants to make more money on selling their seat because they didn't check-in. This is unacceptable. Since it's a company policy, my wife and I would enforce our own policy in response: we will choose not to fly Air Canada again."
