Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "Friendly, helpful, attentive crew; good amount of storage in business class; very good food with an excellent variety."
Pros: "Seating was fine"
Cons: "If flight cost less lol"
Cons: "my original connection time or lay by was reduced to 50min. Didn’t get an express passage through security check point and my gate on this fateful day was 58A the furthest away after security check - so a long run for me and just made it to the queue 10min to flight"
Cons: "Seat cushion could have been softer"
Pros: "The crew is amazing but that is to expect since it was a Japanese crew that operated from Narita."
Cons: "The vegetarian food was terrible; unless they mistook my request and did a vegan option. The first meal was an o-k noodle stirfry type of thing but the breakfast was a porridge that had no flavor. Hopefully it was a misunderstanding but worth noting."
Pros: "The entertainment options were great, the food was great, the staff was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "It took a while for them to serve the first meal and I don't know that there was a need for a second meal. I would have preferred to sleep."
Pros: "The crew was not amazing and the plane was ok. Our flight to LAX NH106 was delayed 6 hours. We slept in the airline lounge and given minimal compensation."
Cons: "Place the passengers in a hotel rather than have us us crammed in a lounge where you can hear angry passengers arguing."
Pros: "Crew was prompt and courteous Entertainment choice was good"
Cons: "1. The seat width is small for comfortable sleeping 2. Choice of non-Japanese food can be enhanced 3. Flight boarding was delayed beyond announced delayed departure also"
Pros: "It was a quick flight, and as it left at night Japan time, I was able to actually sleep 7 hours or so of the full flight."
Cons: "Asked specifically at the ticketing counter not to be seated in a non-emergency row. Were seated in an emergency row. For a 12 hour flight with seats that don't recline and nothing the on-board staff could do about the ticket counter's negligence and bad faith other than apologize. Seated upright for an overnight flight (for the second time on the same trip) for 12 hours. Not a pleasant experience. Had a feeling ANA would be bush league. This trip confirmed those suspicions. It wasn't the crew's fault (though they, unfortunately bore the brunt of my displeasure) so much as the counter's fault, but airlines charging what they are shouldn't be putting passengers or crew in this position. The ticket counter folks literally mislead us. They specifically told us that these were not emergency row seats and that we would have reclining seats and seatback displays in front of us like everyone else. The entire reason I asked is because we got stuck in the last row on the way in with seats that don't recline, which blows for a 12 hour red-eye flight. Instead we got seats that did not recline and a fold out screen that came from the right-hand arm rest. Not the end of the world if one had no choice, but certainly not what I paid for and certainly not what the ticketing counter people stated we were getting (under specific inquiry about the very point). The ticketing counter in particular seems to be skeevy, at best. To the detriment of their own crew, who is left apologizing for things they can do nothing about. As stated, this is a bush league international carrier. Avoid unless you love sleepless nights crossing the international dateline..."
Pros: "Their service"
Pros: "Service, staff, and food were all above-average as compared to other companies with whom I've flown"
Cons: "Spacing was a little bit cramped, and side-to-side leg-room was so cramped that my neighbor fell asleep, spread his legs and suddenly had no where to escape. Made sleeping difficult/impossible."
Pros: "Packed in like sardines with no ability to recline for a red eye flight of 10h was excruciating. Food was not good on this flight though the kids meal was a nice touch."
Cons: "Seats, food"
Cons: "Everything the whole team was great."
Pros: "From start to Finish from ticketing to baggage claim we received Premier Customer Service !!!!!"
Pros: "Staff is awesome"

Cons: "No problems."
Pros: "The quality of your aircraft. Clean, modern, plenty of leg room."

Cons: "cancelled, hard to rebook flight, staff unhelpful, rebooked on worse flight. very bad experience."
Pros: "I enjoyed the hospitality and attention to detail."
Pros: "Staff are super kind."
Pros: "This was my first time flying ANA (LAX to Haneda and back) and I have to admit it was surprisingly great. I am a pretty tall guy and found the room for my feet in economy to be more than adequate even though i found myself in a middle seat both flights. The flight attendants were extremely attentive, even as my flights were both overnight/red-eyes. The selection of movies available at each seat was pretty good and included your standard Hollywood stuff along with a decent selection of Japanese film, television, and various documentaries. Whether or not subtitles are available for non-Japanese speakers for Japanese language media was kind of hit and miss (I actually did browse around quite a bit), but I was impressed nonetheless. I would warn some western based travelers that they may not find the food to be all that appetizing. I chose the Japanese style option both flights (rice, miso, salad, fish), however I know that had I had any of my family members along for the flight they would have gone with the international option and they probably wouldn't have enjoyed it all that much."
Pros: "The staff is very nice."
Cons: "The exonomy seats."
Pros: "Timely departure/arrival, great flight crew, good food, excellent ride, clean cabin."
Pros: "The crew is so polite and attentive. Snacks are free, generous, and tasty. Food is pretty good for airplane food. Interior was very clean and kept clean during the flight."
Cons: "I suppose the food could be better."
Pros: "I'm always in awe at how the crew operates, everything is tidy and the services are efficient and utmost hospitality. Look forward to flying with ANA again."
Pros: "Friendly staff and great food. Cabin was spacious even for Economy."
Pros: "Crews' performance was good."
Cons: "Full capacity ! Because of CODE SHARING ? = One Airplane for 2-Airline's Customers."
Cons: "The fact that my feet got very swollen (twice their normal size) due to the small space - that had the passenger to my right sleeping on top of my right side."
Pros: "Enough room for relax, I love this one"
Pros: "Enough room for relax"
Pros: "Comfort... enough room for relax"
Pros: "I feel like home"
Cons: "The crew smail"
Cons: "Felt very cramped, seats very close together, headphone jack comes out of the side of the armrest, should come out the front of the armrest, I busted the ends off of two of my headphone cables."
Cons: "Touch screens were a bit glitchy. Was not able to adjust brightness, and volume kept readjusting by itself."
Pros: "Food, crew, and entertainment were great. They give you snacks and drinks right away."
Cons: "Elbow room is tight so pray you don't sit next to someone on the larger side. And the seats and tables look well used."
Cons: "No individual air conditioning. Centralized AC got hot. Old plane 777 Once I got to lax, there were no guide on getting to domestic connecting flight (united). After getting pampered with awesome ANA service, you get slapped with horrible united customer service."
Pros: "Very clean plane. Nice and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Lots of leg room. The seat doesn't till back, but instead the seat slides forward. I wouldnt mind to fly again with ANA. Terrific entertainment system and movies."
Cons: "Minor thing is the headset, which doesn't provide the best sound, but it will do. Food options can improve"
Pros: "ANA airline was great! I love the service and the crew was very friendly, answers questions with a smile. I will definitely choose this airline for my travels, I know how they treat the coustomers."

Pros: "Crew services"
Cons: "Seat space, window side, especially foot area no space for my bag and legs"
Pros: "I liked the friendly staff, the movie selection was also great!"
Cons: "The food wasn't great and they fed us as soon as we boarded and right before we landed. There was about 8 hours in between and we were starving!"
Pros: "I like the whole experience overall I would definitely Fly ANA again"
Cons: "I like the whole experience overall"
Pros: "The whole Business experience on SQ"
Cons: "During the same trip I discovered 2 different arrangements of the Business Class cabin on Singapore Airlines A350, SQ469 CMB-SIN, and SQ036 SIN-LAX. On the SQ036, I occupied seat 15 A (mono, aisle-window): I did not understand the reasoning behind this layout: Seat facing straight the front of the aircraft, but not enough space to stretch the legs, and limited height for the footrest, feet getting hurled against a ceiling very quickly, and also footrest only on one side = one foot. The deep cavity, that is probably meant to house the lie-flat disposition, is at a 45° angle with the general direction of the seat. I am 77 and not in any way a contortionist. I decided that the best course of action was to remain seated for the duration of the 14:30 hours, flight without extending my legs. Maybe the crew could have explained how the passenger is supposed to fit into that weird design, but I did not ask, afraid that the demonstration might reawaken chronic shoulder and hip pain. I would be glad to read (not test) how this configuration is supposed to convey the sense of comfort expected from a Business Class ticket. It did nothing of the kind for me."
Pros: "Great Premium Economy experience with comfortable seats and extremely-hospitable cabin crew!"
Cons: "Archaic In-Flight Wi-Fi Plans should be brought to modern-age plans."
Pros: "The service was excellent"
Pros: "Yes and yes"
Cons: "Not sure because I have never had a better experience."
Cons: "WiFi didn’t work on 3 of the 4 flights although all purportedly had it. Also didn’t work the majority of the time in the Business Class Lounge in Singapore. Food was mediocre both on flights and in the lounge. Movie selection could hardly have been worse."
Cons: "Entertainment including games such as backgammon, black Jack, and poker are not available although they are on every other airline I used with high quality game programs that are clos to live games"
Cons: "Softer seats and more movies"
Pros: "Great crew and cabin!"
Cons: "Meals were just ok"
Pros: "The service is exceptional!"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and the staff was very attendant!"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "(Previous PE comparisons: Turkish AL, Air NZ, SAS) Ease of check-in, on-time dep/arr, crew attention and responsiveness, seating within the range to be expected of this class."
Cons: "Plane condition: Cosmetic plastic panel below monitor and seat back pocket on Seat 31E fell off when foot rest was lowered; had previously been secured by adhesive tape. Panel removed by crew. In-flight entertainment system: Persistent intermittent loss of sound while listening to movie or TV program. Food: Tried to use "Book the Cook" feature touted by Singapore's website. Was unable to get on site for that purpose. The last try a message appeared (late September) that site was being "rebuilt." On the flight, there was no menu of choices; we were offered 3 vaguely worded choices which boiled down to beef, chicken or vegetables. Those appeared in not particularly appetizing forms and combinations--P.S., we like east and southeast Asian cooking and had just spent 3 weeks in Japan. Failure to provide information about possible delays due to WRG deplaning location at LAX: Although we are frequent fliers to and from LAX, we'd never heard of the WRG. It would have been helpful if the crew had informed us upon arrival that there could possibly be a wait on the plane as buses were used to transport us approximately 1/2 mile to TBIT. Generally: We chose Singapore because of its reputation for excellence. Belying the name of the class, both Turkish AL and Air NZ treated Premium Economy passengers as "junior" business class. Singapore treated us as coach with a roomier cabin and seating pitch."
Cons: "1 hour delay of departure"
Pros: "Friendly Staff. Very nice Meet and Greet Comfortable travel. Meals were tasty."
Pros: "The lunch and dinner menu was excellent"
Cons: "more bathrooms."
Pros: "The trip was horrible we have to sit separately three places."
Cons: "First experience with Singapore where the crew made a negative impression. As soon as the plane pulled away from the terminal, crew members seemed rushed and frantic, literally running back and forth from Economy Premium to the galley gathering items. Approximately every 7-10 minutes, crew members would be running back and forth next to my seat with heavy foot steps, which would wake me up. I also noticed that certain crew members were shouting at passengers to get their attention instead of lowering themselves to be heard. One flight attendant almost spilled orange juice on me because she turned around too fast trying to serve drinks. I'm not sure if they were short-staffed, or if it was the influence of a certain crew boss, but something was definitely wrong."
Pros: "I will only use Singapore Air for anywhere they fly. They really care about their passangers, 2 checked bags 1 carryon no charge, no airline does that. They constantly feed u & alcoholic beverages all at no extra charge. Flight attendants always have a smile on their flight. In flight entertainment was great, touch screen and remote controller. They supply earbuds, socks, toothbrush and paste."
Cons: "Absolutely no complaints"
Cons: "Cabin temperature was really hot."
Cons: "There was not much leg room in the seatings"
Pros: "SQ did a great job again. I plan to fly them in the future."
Cons: "My only criticism is that the flight attendants didn’t pass through the cabin with water during the 9 hour flight."
Pros: "All the crews were friendly and helpful!"
Cons: "I wanted to watch Hindi movies with subtitles..."
Pros: "Christmas decorations, service, attitude of staff"
Pros: "Everything great personnel"
Pros: "I ordered a Indian vegeterian meal. It was very good. I feel bad about all the playin cups, and garbage that gets wasted. Please recycle everything."
Cons: "The plane was very cold. A lot of movies were offered but I couldn't find anything I wanted to watch."
Pros: "ending meal was very late like an hour or less before landing"
Cons: "racial discrimination by the flight attendants thinking that I didn't know Japanese language even though I was white. I could see it happening."
Pros: "I traveled Premium Economy. It was well worth the extra cost over regular Economy. The food was great, the crew was great, the flight was very comfortable."
Pros: "Not much turbulence"
Pros: "The food is good. The service is excellent, always smiling and attentive."
Cons: "Not enough quantity of each type of food. I did not get the cold noodle I want and end up eating sandwiches."
Pros: "Crew was very friendly and good service."
Cons: "Crew could have asked the passengers whether they need snacks in between."
Pros: "Personal TV"
Pros: "Both ways I had a whole row to myself, great attendants, in flight screens and charging stations at your seat, frequent meals"
Cons: "Clean bathroom trash more often"
Pros: "I always felt attended to, great customer service, clean and best bang for your buck"
Pros: "Ice cream for snack? Heck YES. Variety of meals to choose from (i got hindu meal)"
Cons: "On the way to Korea, a stewardess keep taking my water away thinking i was done with it. It was very nice of her she tries to take trashes away, but it wasn't trash for me."
Pros: "Flew business class to SE Asia and experienced great service, fast check-in & boarding, terrific seating and amenities, and outstanding meals. Came home well rested."
Cons: "On my trip to Japan, the staff was incredibly rude. Horrible commendations. The controls didn't work. And the desert had mold in it."
Pros: "Attention to customer service and needs"
Cons: "Couldn't use my own headphones to watch movies"
Pros: "Great entertainment, good service, clean plane."
Cons: "The lasagna was pretty dry and meh."
Pros: "What did I like??? Um, EVERYTHING! First off I got a great price under $850 round trip to NRT from LAX was a steal! They let you check two large suit cases plus a carry on and a personal item. That all FREE!!! I travel pretty light but it was great to know they don't Nickle and dime you for bags or anything else for that matter. Staff looks amazing and treats you first class even when your in economy. They are so polite and really genuinely want to give you a above and beyond experience. And they over achieve at it! They meals are great and very satisfying. The planes are big and roomy even in economy seats. On our return flight we had a brand new plane which had a sleek touch screen monitor and controller. There mad tons of media available (articles, language games, games, movies, tv shows and more) with USB ports to charge devices on each seat. Plus 10inch personal monitors. Earbuds were included free of charge, aswell as socks toothbrush and tooth paste. They have is two big meals on our direct flight (awesome that they have direct flights). Plus, they offered free snacks too and gave us a full can of soda vs. a small cup. They come through several times offering coffee, tea, water and snacks. All free of charge. This was my first time flying Singapore Airlines and I loved it!!! I wish Everyone was this amazing! Norwegian Airlines was the opposite as far as charging for everything! Had to pay each stop for any luggage ($100 per checked bag). No meals free or charge. They wanted money for everything! And yea a skimpy sandwich was $9.00 :(."
Pros: "Great customer service, food was fine, seats were comfy in economy too. Definitely would fly again and recommend to everyone!"
Pros: "The service was amazing. The flight attendants were all so friendly and eager to assist. The meals were very tasty and complimentary wine was such a treat. Blankets were nice and thick, pillows were comfy, and you even received a little bag with socks and toothbrush."
Cons: "Can't think of anything:)"
Pros: "Flight crew we're attentive and anticipated issues. The flight was smooth and the lavatories were clean and stocked. Love the hot towels at the beginning and end of the flight."
Cons: "Not much to be honest. I suppose if I could say anything it would the seats in economy are a bit cramped, but that's to be expected."
Pros: "Comfortable seats."
Cons: "We were supposed to fly back to Los Angeles from Tokyo on Wednesday, August 24th. We got to Tokyo Narita a little later than planned due to the Narita Express train being delayed. I had received emails that our flight had changed gates, and was then delayed, but when my sister and I went to check into our flight, we were told we were unable to board because it was too late. I thought it was absurd because the flight had not even started boarding, and I had gotten an email saying it was delayed. We tried to reason with them, but they would not let us on the flight. It was imperative that we got back to Los Angeles on Wednesday, but all our plans were ruined due to them bumping us off the flight. My sister had a connecting flight to Boston, which she then had to reschedule and was charged for. We were stuck another night in Tokyo, where we had to spend money on a hotel. The Singapore Airlines attendants eventually informed us that we could get on a flight the next day. This delayed us by 24 hours, which was highly inconvenient. It was also especially unnecessary since due to the flight being delayed, we would have absolutely been able to make it. I do not appreciate being bumped off of a flight due to airlines wanting to make more money, especially being stuck overseas. Its not like it was a domestic flight where we could just hop on another one in the next few hours, this totally derailed all of our plans. I do not appreciate the inflexibility of the Singapore Airlines agents, and this is not an experience that makes me want to recommend flying with Singapore Airlines. I appreciate that they did not charge us, however it was a major inconvenience that could have simply been avoided by better customer service and understanding."
Pros: "The food. The nice crew members. The comfortability and service. The tech and entertainment available."
Pros: "Crew and staff were great and accommodating."
Pros: "The entertainment selection was decent."
Cons: "The crew left a lot to be desired. Very disappointed as when I flew last year, the crew was superb. I'm not a demanding flyer. I really hesitate to even call a flight attendant whenever I fly, so I'm not high maintenance. Incident 1: The flight from DPS to Singapore the flight attendant scoffed when I asked for socks saying that economy passenger don't receive socks on this flight. I didn't appreciate the suggestion that my class wasn't worthy of meeting my request. Her response felt condescending. Her continued interaction with me consistently felt short and mildly irritated with me. I didn't understand why. Honestly, I won't fly Singapore again because of this. Flights are not cheap for me. I spend the extra few hundred dollars because of great reviews and a superior experience last year. I will not be spoken to in a condescending way. On the second leg of my travel from Singapore to LAX the flight attendant once again said that I will not be given socks? Why, thought? I'm traveling for over 30 hours. Have things changed? Second, I asked for a second ice-cream. She handed me the ice-cream then took it out my hand and told me she would have to come back to me. The galley that was suppose to have food didn't seem to have anything. Was I missing something. Be fail on many level."
Pros: "The crew was amazing!!"
Cons: "This trip was not quite as excellent as my flights on Singapore Airlines usually are; however, I cannot say for sure there was much that airline staff could have done to change this. A great deal of turbulence earlier in the flight made it difficult to enjoy the food. Also, there was a sewage-like smell that wafted through the air periodically - this could have been a child in the surrounding seats, though. Both of these issues seem difficult for the airline staff to address, however, unless the smell actually came from a problem with the ventilation system. The staff was exceptionally helpful and good-natured, though, which made the biggest difference. Thank you so much."
Pros: "every thing was ex best flight I have ever went on. I would rec your services to anyone."
Pros: "I loved the entertainment, the kind staff, and the extras they gave out to try to make us as comfortable as possible."
Cons: "My boyfriend is very tall, 6'6. On the flights to and from, even though he was on he aisle side seat, it was very difficult for him to have enough room for his legs, thus making my space that much less. In the future, I think we would benefit from booking either the seat behind us for him that had more leg room, or the seats in front of us that were the first seats of all rows."
Pros: "Amazing crew, Great flight."
Cons: "Nothing I can think of."
Pros: "Absolute epic flight in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis. Thank you all the crews. You’ve done amazing job!"
Pros: "Good food. Very clean bathrooms. Great service"
Pros: "Amazingly kind and helpful crew. Great food."
Pros: "Airplane and service"
Cons: "None. Maybe save money and ride first class"
Pros: "The price. Significantly cheaper than our normal ride on EVA through Taipei. Having said that...won't do it again."
Cons: "We travel between the US and Asia a couple of times a year and normally fly on EVA, who has wonderful service and great food. We took Asiana this time because the ticket price was significantly less than EVA. Below are the reasons we won't do it again. 1. The food was awful. My wife had the Asian dishes and I had the Western dishes. Both were well below the quality of food we're used to on EVA. 2. Transit in Seoul. On the way to Bangkok from LA we had 50 minutes to transit Seoul to our next flight. The transit security line was quite long and it was obvious that we, along with a few dozen other passengers, weren't going to be able to make the connection. After much complaining from us and our fellow passengers they ran us through another security line. Rushed to the airplane and made it. On returning to LA from Bangkok it was exactly the opposite. The only option was nearly 8 hours connection in Seoul. But we had plenty of time to negotiate the transit security line. These connect times did not occur because of a last-minute ticket purchase. I purchased these tickets in July for a December/January flight to Bangkok and return. 3. Inflight service was not at the level of EVA. Like any other Asian carrier, the flight attendants were light years ahead of ANY US airline crew, but below the standard of EVA. Waking you up to eat a meal (I typically don't eat dinner at 1AM), etc. I was sleeping with my seat reclined and the flight attendant took it upon herself to upright my seat at meal time and woke me up, presumably so the person in the seat behind me was more comfortable with space to eat their meal, but hey...I purchased the seat to sleep just like the other passenger purchased the seat to eat, so I think I had just as much right to "my space and comfort" as the other passenger did. Just little stuff that doesn't happen on EVA. 4. Inflight entertainment is lacking as compared to EVA. Few movie and TV choices, few game choices. 5. We sat in economy. The seats were not very comfortable. Seems the cushions were thin and it became like sitting on plywood after a while. Legroom on the 747 flight wasn't so great, but there was plenty of legroom on the A380. The A380 seating was still kinda hard, but the legroom sure helped. 6. Boarding process. Poorly organized. Nobody pays a bit of attention to "boarding by row number". Consequently it's a bit of chaos during boarding. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. For a flight of that length I won't choose to save the $200 or so per ticket and will ride on EVA. We've proven to ourselves that EVA is just pretty hard to beat."
Pros: "Great service. Good food. Excellent entertainment options. Coach had widest seats I've ever sat in. Asiana is always my first choice for China-LAX."
Cons: "There was loads of turbulence, but it was handled well. And frankly, an airline can't control air conditions. So I have no real bad things to say about this flight."
Pros: "Stewardesses were great!"
Cons: "Turbulence was horrible and couldn’t understand the captain’s English very well."
Pros: "charming & efficient staff"
Pros: "Overall service... was very good."
Pros: "Impressed with the airline as a whole. I would fly Asiana again."
Cons: "Twelve hours is tough on the body. Seat cushions were a little thin."
Pros: "See comments above."
Cons: "See comments above."
Pros: "Facial mask pack service"
Cons: "Delayed flight. Baggage claim was also dragging"
Pros: "Crew was nice plenty of food"
Cons: "Every plane delayed. They made me run to my connecting flight. My luggage never made it."
Cons: "Once again, a delayed flight"
Pros: "Some crew members were very kind and helpful."
Cons: "This airline puts priority on Korean speaking men non Korean women with a helpless child. First of all, my child was too large for the bassinet so I held him the entire time. Fine, I get it's for safety. But to make matters worse, my child had a fever and cried out of discomfort for the first 3 hours of a 10 hour flight. A male passenger complained and instead of defending a mother and a helpless sick child, the flight crew kept insisting ways to make my baby stop crying. Do you think I wanted to hear my child in that much pain? No, of course not. One male crew member told me to take my child to the back of thr aircraft (away from the complaining man). Ummm... I paid for my seat just like everyone else!! To be treated differently just because my baby is crying is HORRIBLE. To top it off, the seats are the worst I've ever sat in. My back and butt were in so much pain from those horrible seats. Bottom line- I will NEVER fly with this airline again after the mistreatment my baby and I received. This airline puts Korean speaking men above anyone else's needs, including a helpless 14 month old who feels horrible and doesn't know how else to communicate pain. I'll add that we were on a 10 hour flight after a 9 hour layover in Incheon and a 4 hour plane ride that was DELAYED from 1:45AM to 3:45AM. We were extremely tired and had been through so much already. If the crew had been more protective of us and understanding to the fact that he's a BABY I would have let the complaints slide. Last note- this airline delayed us 3 separate times. Yes.. 3 separate occasions. Do I need to say anything more?"
Pros: "The crew was wonderful, accommodating and pleasant throughout the long flight. Meals were delicious (drink selection even included complimentary red/white wine!), good selection of movies on private screens and packaged slippers, blankets and toothbrush/toothpaste were provided for everyone."
Cons: "Seats should have more padding for the long flight."
Pros: "More leg room than any airline I have flown in economy. Nice staff."
Pros: "I like how I asked for an aisle seat and it was given to me without hesitation."
Cons: "No complaints."
Cons: "Kindly Asiana airline"
Pros: "Excellent. more leg room, and very friendly staff. I loved it."
Pros: "We really enjoyed the size and comfort of the Airbus 380. Very quiet and powerful as we crossed the Pacific Ocean. The crew were very helpful and always friendly throughout the entire 11 hours back home."
Cons: "Could use a little more movies."
Pros: "Good sized seats of A380"
Cons: "They served wine about 40 ml with dinner ."
Cons: "A crew never gave me my can of soda"
Pros: "Service was as expected."
Cons: "There was a baby in my section crying for 10 hours and nothing at the parents or crew could do would make him stop crying. I couldn't sleep"
Pros: "Seats are quite comfortable in both economy and business"
Cons: "Media choices in English are limited. Food varies widely from quite good to not good (though overall much better quality than US airlines). Boarding lines were confusing"
Pros: "Everything was fantastic. Thank you!"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very kind and nice."
Cons: "The food was bad . It used to be good but it's getting worse these days. No idea how could you serve the fork...!"
Pros: "I can saw movie. it was so funny."
Cons: "1. The stewards were not friendly, especially she kept on forgetting to give me food since I was unfortunately sitting by the window next to 2 big men in the middle and aisle seats. 2. In LA while getting my luggages from the caroussel, I asked the porters 3 times to help me lift, but they ignored me and just attended to the ones with wheelchairs. Even if I'm not in a wheelchair, I am a seniour, and there are aches already in my body here and there. So that day, my back was aching til the following day. Lesson learned, other airlines are much much better than Asiana when it comes to treatment given to seniours. My first time to try, maybe the last."
Pros: "Roomy seats and comfortable. Nice staff. We definitely recommend to our friends to fly with this airline."
Pros: "A bit delayed but still arrived almost on schedule"
Cons: "Seat needs more cushioning"
Cons: "I didn't appreciate the fact their website does not offer a variety of choices like vegetarian or vegan or even low calorie or low salt options"
Pros: "timely manner, good food"
Cons: "No vegetarian food."
Pros: "I actually didn't even feel the plane take off. Everything just worked. Seamless flight everything was great."
Cons: "Nothing perfect flight"
Pros: "Crew members were helpful and nice."
Cons: "1.Flight Network said that the transaction was in US dollars. Therefore there shouldn't have been a currency exchange fee from my US bank. However, Flight Network charged Canadian dollars, so my US bank charged me a 3% exchange fee and the Canadian bank charged me another $8 fee resulting in a combined $32 extra to the price.of my ticket. Flight Network was not honest about the currency of the transaction. Kayak should require that Flight Network and any other vendors be honest about the currency of the transaction. 2. The extra 5 hours of layover at Incheon Airport was a total drag. It caused me to miss my connecting flight from LAX to Mexico City, so by the time I got into Mexico City there were no more buses running to Queretaro. I had to book a room in Mexico City at an additional expense and pay for taxi fare that I would not have needed if Asiana Airlines hadn't added 5 extra hours of layover to my trip."
Pros: "Seating on that Airbus was very comfortable with a lot of leg room and we sat in economy class. Food also was excellent."
Pros: "good experience"
Pros: "Overall, the long flights between the US and Korea were quite comfortable, the food was decent, and the crew was efficient."
Cons: "The connecting flights, from Korea to Vietnam were not as comfortable (understandably as it was a smaller plane), and the food was close to inedible on the shorter flights. I'm not sure why the quality of good goes down so much on the shorter flights."
Pros: "good entertainment system"
Cons: "It sounds like a small thing, but, seats were much too hard. which made long flight torture. cabin temp was sweltering hot."
Pros: "It was one of those weeks with delayed flights due to regional inclement weather. I felt they handled the situation really well. The airline managed to give my child and me seats next to each other after helping me rearrange my flight schedule. We were in an A380. It was a packed flight. The crew was efficient, attentive, and calm. Asiana Airline strives to be a service-oriented airline, and it was demonstrated on this flight."
Cons: "Communication is not always clear especially in-flight communication, more likely a language barrier that can be improved. Wondering if a ticker board would be helpful."
Pros: "Same thing, coz I was assigned to10f."
Cons: "I had paid for an upgrade to sit in the front of the cabin with extra legroom (row 14A). When I boarded a man sat it my seat. He had not paid for the upgrade, but the crew let him stay in my seat. I had asked him to social distance but he continued to sit right behind me bo matter which seat I moved to. He argued with the crew until they gave up and let him stay. They did not check his boarding pass or ask him to move to his assigned seat I found a different seat away from him but I don’t see the point in paying for extra legroom when the crew let’s people who haven’t paid for it sit it those seats. I felt harassed by the man and was very uncomfortable the whole flight. I am considering my next step, I think I should at least receive a refund for the upgrade I paid for."
Cons: "Very nice crew and great food"
Pros: "The crew was professional & friendly"
Cons: "Food was terrible honestly, entertainment system didn't work on 1st flight."
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Staff: from check in to landing, they could at least smile. Baggage claim was a nightmare, 6 Schengen flights in the same belt."
Pros: "economy plus seats were nice, great movie selection, especially international movies"
Cons: "crew was not friendly, i had to ask for water many times, usually water person walk the aisle. food was terrible. other carriers food were better"
Pros: "Reclinable seats."
Cons: "The food!! The lights could be dimmed as it was a night flight."
Pros: "Crew helpful. Food good."
Cons: "Better range of movies please"
Pros: "Crew great, boarding at Nice very organised, boarding in Amsterdam not so organised!"
Cons: "A queuing system would be better-it was a bit disorganised at Amsterdam!"
Cons: "1. In Flight Entertainment 2. Controlled In Flight Temperature"
Pros: "The crew is really welcoming"
Cons: "The seats are too narrow and a bit too hard"
Pros: "the drinks"
Cons: "seat reservation. having to pay for luggage...."
Cons: "This return flight was much better than the flight going to Amsterdam. I believe the biggest factor was the type of aircraft. The old 747 just didn't meet expectations. The newer 777 on the way back was much more comfortable, with better amenities."
Pros: "One crew member was very good but all were not very available or checking on people. I had a seat that I purchased and it was very hard to recline I only found out that it did if fact recline it the last hour to hour and a half of the trip! It was a difficult push back to get it to recline"
Cons: "If I knew how to recline my seat earlier. I did try several times"
Cons: "Flight cancelled"
Pros: "Seat space a bit tight . I should have upgraded to more leg room . Next time!"
Pros: "Nice seats. Only seats with a row of 2, which is what I wanted,"
Pros: "Very pleased with KLM - efficiency all round and especially the baggage handling at Schipol swhere I had 20 minutes to transfer and my baggage came back with me to the UK which is no mean feat given the hustle and bustle of such a large airport"
Cons: "No downsides at all"
Pros: "On time and friendly crew"
Cons: "Boarding needs improvement"
Pros: "They considered my reguest of vegiterian food."
Cons: "I have no complaints."
Pros: "Very attentive crew. Attended to needs immediately. Took a lot of time with each person when someone had something to say."
Cons: "The seat I had with no seats in front of me was very small. Much smaller than the other economy seats because the tray table and video screen were in the armrests. Paid extra for the legroom by ended up losing it side to side. Really had to squeeze into the seat."
Pros: "The flight was perfect! Great food, movies and I even got to sleep !"
Cons: "All was well!"
Pros: "Everything was clean and well organized."
Cons: "The flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours."
Pros: "I am so grateful to have been provided delicious and filling vegan meals on this long flight. Thank you for offering a dietary option that is compassionate toward animals and contributes less to climate change! Now if only the planes were powered by clean, renewable energy... Hopefully that will become a reality someday very soon! Oh, and also the crew on this flight was exceptionally kind and helpful. Thank you so much!"
Cons: "I did not enjoy the turbulence, which I suppose is unavoidable. More importantly, I felt quite guilty about the greenhouse gas emissions of my flight. I have decided to cut down on my air travel as much as possible as a way of reducing my carbon footprint."
Pros: "Seats were very comfortable, food was excellent, the staff was very nice, cabin was quite and roomy."
Cons: "No outlets to charge digital devices, and need more bathrooms on board. I was able to sleep most of the 11 hour flight so I did not take advantage of the entertainment."
Pros: "Interior of the plane was clean. Smooth landing."
Cons: "Pilot did not avoid turbulence"
Pros: "More than adequate room, And very good service from a very professional staff. Head and shoulders abovevany American carrier, and several European lines I have flown."
Cons: "Can't think of anything."
Cons: "Nothing good to say about this flight. The plane was old with no entertainment. The sits where very compact and not comfortable at all. The food was a sweet bread and water. The flight attendants were rushing and will take a while if you needed anything. I felt like I was taking a bus with graffiti all over the place."
Cons: "infotainment was down. Lost my luggage the flight was delayed"
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "The entertainment system wasn’t working for the whole 10 hour flight."
Pros: "Left ontime and service was excellent."
Cons: "The cabin crew was racist. She told me to move back from an empty seat just because she wanted one of the guys ( from her country ) to set on it! Very rude and racist."
Pros: "Nice crew; clean plane; decent dinner"
Cons: "No entertainment system; insufficient knee space"
Cons: "The streaming service didn’t work"
Pros: "Good Experience"
Cons: "Nothing much"
Pros: "Friendly staff, good service and on time departure/arrival."
Pros: "Friendly staff"
Cons: "Entertainment was dated and poor in function. Our bags were 99 dollars each and we’re both lost and didn’t arrive. I just filed a claim and got rude service saying I should have filed the claim at the airport baggage area but there was not anybody there to do the claim then he agent upstairs said they just spoke to them and they are there and I should have done it there. This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."
Pros: "Bording was good and general flight ok"
Cons: "This airplane must be the oldest in the fleet. No USB, no charging, no touchscreen technology, no plugs, no bluetooth."
Cons: "Missing wheel chairs swrvice lounge far away no food option just lame klm tipique"
Cons: "Tiny old cramped plane."
Pros: "The cabin crew were pretty good. That's about all that was good."
Cons: "I paid almost $400 for upgraded seats. When I got to the airport-- no seats-- both ways!! i didn't even have regular seat assignments. I had to choose from the last few seats available. The ticket agent, the gate agent and the cabin crew all did nothing to make up for the fact that their system screwed up and stuck me in a cramped coach seat in the back of the plane for 11 hours-- TWICE! Beyond that, KLM must have one of the oldest fleets in the sky. Both ways LAX->AMS->LAX, I was on a 30-35 year old 747 with no wifi, no power and a ten-year-old entertainment system. Never again."
Cons: "Per usual, KLM can't seem to figure out the order of boarding the plane. Should be business - priority - everyone else. Instead they do priority first, and that's usually two-thirds of the passengers. Strange choice of in-flight movies; no accounting for taste, I guess."
Cons: "Departure 40 mins late. I took this flight 2 weeks ago and it was also delayed."
Pros: "Loved this 747! Crew was professional and food was very good."
Cons: "We had a long wait (25 minutes) at the gate because we were early."
Pros: "KLM food and service are great"
Cons: "Fewer entertainment options than the delta flight. I got excited with that first flight."
Pros: "There was no flight! So it's one thing that you have to cancel the flight because of fog; but rebooking us the next day on a flight through New York that doesn't exist, was way below the standard of care I would expect from any airline. Apparently, the NY to LAX flight that KLM booked us on, was only one leg of the flight to Sydney Australia; and according to some airline agreement, only Australian nationals are permitted to take that flight! Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."
Pros: "The Air China crew was exceptional. They made sure wheelchair service was available all of the time without a hitch. They were very compassionate"
Cons: "The coach seating is very tight. I wish there was more leg room."
Pros: "Crew was ok but the seat was very uncomfortable."
Cons: "Worst food in an international flight. Chances are I won’t be traveling by this airline again."
Pros: "Boarding was very easy. Staff were very pleasant"
Cons: "Both meals were terrible. Bland and tasteless"
Cons: "Crew's English needs improvement."
Pros: "The movie selection was very good."
Cons: "We were supposed to leave at 3:00 PM and the flight didn't actually leave until 4:45 PM. The food was not very good and I had to ask for water. I got a whole bottle of water on the flight from Shenyang to Beijing but on the flight from Beijing to LA I was only offered 2 cups of water. It was hard to get comfortable so I could sleep."
Pros: "Plane was clean. Had electrical outlet between seats on one of my international flights (not the return flight). Left and arrived on time."
Cons: "Seats felt close together. Crew doesn't really return smiles. Food wasn't great. English movies that weren't "B" level were few on my first flight, better on my return flight. Not much refreshment in the 7 or so hours between meals. Did not have electrical outlets between seats on one of my international flights. English translations of announcements were difficult to understand."
Pros: "The flight crew’s polite attitude was the only redeeming quality."
Cons: "They kept telling us before the inflight meal that there may not be enough food. And “sorry”. Luckily there was enough for my partner and I, but it was unsettling. Most importantly we found our luggage ransacked when we arrived at our destination. There were zip ties wrapped around both our suitcases that were cutting into the fabric. When we opened our luggage we found numerous items missing and broken. We will be filling a complaint with the airline as well as a claim with travel insurance. Finally, I will do my best to avoid connecting through Beijing airport. Most restaurants didn’t start serving food until 11:30am and our next flight boarded at that time. We arrived at 6am and we were starving. So our only real option was soup."
Pros: "The entertainment on the flight was good. A good selection of movies and genres."
Cons: "The food was horrid, dry noodles and dry chicken balls, Undercooked salmon on undercooked potato salad and a dessert that was not palatable. Only the roll was really edible. My seat did not recline. The air is not controlled by seat, I had to ask twice to turn on some air, I was hot in a sleeveless shirt through 90% of the flight."
Cons: "No updates on reason for 2hr delay of flight."
Pros: "Nice staff!"
Pros: "Honestly nothing."
Cons: "I asked a crew for analgesic and they can't even understand my simple English. And there's time a will ask for water lucky enough if they remember mostly they forget it. The worst part is the food. I dont know if they have a poor choice of food to serve or they just really serve cheap food. Nothing good honestly speaking."
Cons: "I was given permission to have priority boarding because of my son. When I advised the ticket agent of this at the gate she attempted to deny us pre-boarding even though I explained I was given permission. When I wouldn't back down she let us in reluctantly. Then she proceeded tell an additional security check right before the doors to check me because I was suspicious. She followed this will telling them to check me thoroughly and slowly. This made me even madder because I was the only one they did this to. Everyone else that was randomly (randomly I might add because it is supposed to be random) got swiped with a little wipe and was let through. I had to take articles of clothing off and have all by carry on bags gone through. Even my 6 year old sons whose bag I was carrying because he couldn't. This set off my son by the way who doesn't do well with the stress of boarding because of all the people (which is why we needed to pre-board the plane). So I had to have a friend leave with him to board the plane and couldn't be there for him because of this one agents problem of me not doing what she said and standing up for myself and my family. Oh, and by the way I was very respectful when speaking with her and their could have been no confusion between the language as I was speaking to her in Chinese."
Cons: "Slow processing in beijing. Got late boarding Suitcase did not arrive with me Had to wait for suitcase for 3 hours"
Cons: "TOO hot in the plane! No personalized air vents. Seats are not comfortable."
Pros: "Cheapest flight"
Cons: "The food"
Pros: "In between there must be light snacks be served"
Cons: "Flies on plane. Tv screens not working. Less than a dozen movies to choose from."
Cons: "First time flying Air China - it was cheap and I mistaken it for China Airlines. Newer seats with touch screen TV, but the seating, screen and tray table were dirty and not properly wiped down. Lack of entertainment - no new movies, just a bunch of old released. Food was ok, minimal drink options. At time very difficult to understand crew members. It was the cheapest flight, and now I know why. The flight back to the US was significantly better than the flight from LAX to Beijing. That flight there was in an old Boeing with old dirty uncomfortable seats that I had to first drape with a blanket before sitting down and extremely dirty tray area that I scrubbed down with some wet wipes myself. The only saving grace was that it was an empty flight and I had the entire row to myself. Worst, we had a 7-hour delay in Beijing where the ground members did not speak English and could not give anyone an explanation as to why there was a delay. My family in Thailand came to the airport twice because they went back home the first time since they were waiting for too long and the airline could not give them an estimate of when the flight would take off. Never flying Air China again. Would recommend spending more a little more and fly EVA air or something else."
Cons: "The flight delayed almost five hours.during the time, no broadcast no food no drink. Air china is so bad."
Cons: "Late take off and need vegetarian dishes"
Pros: "Clean plane delay"
Cons: "1. Delayed 4 hours, with insufficient AC in the plane!! 2. Speaker jack was broken and could only "watch" movies."
Pros: "Nothing, it was a horrible, never to be repeated experience compared to JAL, Asiana, and China Airlines (Taipei), which I ususually take."
Cons: "Inconvenient gates, landed in LAX near the beach, 40 minute bus ride to Tom Bradley. Horrible, inedible food. Basically I will never take this airline again and strongly recommend that their low-ball pricing is like a mean trick; and not worth the low cost at all. I should have known, "you get what you pay for"."
Pros: "everything was better"
Cons: "Both flight to and from had at least one plane with no entertainment. They're 13 and 6hrs. They also don't let you use your phone. Even on airplane mode. Both to and from also got delayed. Which may or may not be up to the airline."
Cons: "So many delays without a notification."
Cons: "30 min to boarding time they changed the gate from E25 to E 57. They have around 250 people jammed into small space, where we had to board a bus to the tarmac and board the aircraft using the stairs carrying our carry ons. At the boarding gate the personnal were mainly giving out instructions in Chinese and people like us had no clue what was happening. There were two lines formed for passengers to check in, when I got to the front of the line the lady said I had to go to the other line as the line I was in was for business class and First class. This is to board the bus to take you to the aircarft. Again there was no clear announcements saying which line was which!!!"
Pros: "Everything worked, boarded quickly and crew served passengers efficiency. Luggage was already on the conveyor belt when I arrived."
Pros: "Movie offerings were ok."
Pros: "Brand new comfy and clean plane."
Cons: "I would have liked to watch some of the really interesting sounding Chinese programs on the in flight entertainment system, but it did not offer English Subtitles. Something about the service lacks a bit of sparkle. I would have liked to have been offered some of the bells and whistles like a toothbrush or better headphones for the entertainment system."
Pros: "The plane is a major upgrade from any air china flight I've taken using economy! The screens are in full HD and every seat included a charging station for both USB and and regular plugs. The staff was very friendly and kind and they served two meals on the flight. I also appreciated how the crew would frequently bring water down the aisles but also gave you the option to get up and grab it yourself."
Cons: "The plane was pretty cramped and on a 13hr flight this can be bothersome."
Pros: "I enjoyed my journey from L.A. to Beijing. I haven't traveled in a while but it was fun. Thank you Air China for getting up and back safely."
Cons: "See the above comment regarding the music and television selections."
Pros: "Was worried about losing my luggage originally but everything turned out fine."
Pros: "Flight went very smoothly"
Cons: "Loved that I was able to pick up where I left off on my in flight movie when I transferred planes. The flight went well!"
Pros: "The personal is very kind and polite"
Cons: "Very long time to waiting in the plane, the audio of the movies could be better"
Cons: "Please see above statement!"
Cons: "Rude rude rude!!!"
Pros: "Comfortable seats, nice polite crew, decent food - pleasant surprise that the plane wasn't full so I could stretch out"
Cons: "Was surprised to find - first time - that I couldn't take my vitamin c water on the plane since they made another check right before entering the plane - so far once you went through security check I was always able to take the full waterbottle with me - again mediocre choice of movies, difficulty with touch screen"
Cons: "There was no organization to boarding the plane. People did not board by seat number."
Cons: "Departure delay of more than an hour due to air traffic. Prolonged sitting was not good for circulation of blood."
Pros: "New plane, 2 good meals and beverages. Flight staff friendly and helpf"
Cons: "The crying baby seating behind us for 12 hours"
Cons: "Had to take a shuttle to get to the plane. Beijing international airport is too busy."
Pros: "There was nothing special about the flight"
Cons: "It was late taking off from Beijing and the ground crew did not inform the passengers what was going on. The food was mediocre, there was no breakfast and the video/monitor attached to my seat did not work!!!!"
