This was not a recording, but several passengers remarked basically it was just done out of fear or laziness on flight crew part. Minor point, but had to find one."

And although the partner with Azul, they claimed that they could not check us through to our final destination. Coming home, Azul did this for us without issue. Gates E-9 and E-10 at Fort Lauderdale are a disaster waiting to happen. There is inadequate separation between the two gates to allow efficient boarding. When the flight out of E-9 got delayed, they ended up boarding two flight at the same time. Boarding announcements dd not specify flights and it became a huge snafu. The crew did not try to change it - they plowed ahead ignoring the confusion they were causing. On board, the movies did not run smoothly - one was restarted three times. I have tried to book on Jet Blue firt in the past. My last three experiences are making me rethink this."

My flight arrived in time and I barely made the gate and TAP called my name as I was running to the gate on time, but since JetBlue changed my flight they said I couldn't get on the flight I was scheduled and purchased. So I had to get a hotel, neither paid for that or the money I spent in Boston for over 24 hours. Terrible work."

Cons: "Well, when we arrived to Panama City to catch our connecting flight to Las Vegas back home. We were not allowed to enter the boarding gate. We had 40 minutes before the plane was leaving. Our flight from Lima the airplane left 30 minutes late. Overall people were still boarding the plane to Las Vegas and we were directed to Copa Customer service were we had to pay an additional $662.00 for a “Standby” ticket for the next Day.!!! Overall we had to find a hotel in a city we are not familiar with and possibly losing our jobs in America for not arriving back to work on time. Overall we were not the only individuals experiencing difficulties with Copa Airlines, there were as many as 15 people with complaints for change of boarding doors with out notifications, missed flights due to late arrivals. It all seems a scam and as soon as we return to America, we have contacted several attorneys interested in class action lawsuits against Cooa and its affiliates. Stay away from Copa."

Only when I demanded a manager did they stop trying to confiscate it. At which point they made me check my carry on luggage! I find this very suspicious since I also discovered that someone tried to access the inside of my luggage at Panama City on the initial flight! Your crew on the ground and in the terminals in Panama City are running scams! Beware! Very disturbed by this and plan on sharing this on social media as a beware to copa travelers going through or to Panama City! Literally set up check point at ramp to plan confiscating stuff bough in the terminal after already going through security!"

Still wanted me to print new boarding pass when got to door of plane which defeats the purpose of early check in online and printing passes at home. On my transfer flight going Lima to LA, we have to go thru security again at door of plane in Panama boarding to LA. We just bought drinks and weren't told we couldn't bring in waiting area for flight. A latte is $7 wasted."

Few Avianca staff available to answer questions/clear up the confusion. It was actually comical. On the previous flight Lima-> Cusco, they bumped us off our flight even with confirmed tickets, said the "flight was full" (obviously oversold) and said we'd get a $50 voucher and asked me to write my email on a piece of scrap paper, no receipt."
Cons: "This flight was operated by Avianca, the flight was delayed 2 hours at the beginning, they said they will give as a voucher for food while we wait, when I went to the counter they said they don't give anything for a 2 hours delay. Then the flight was delayed a 1/2 hour extra, it was not even announced and we ended up boarding at 12:15am from a flight that was supposed to leave at 9:35pm, then the plane was waiting for 1/2 hour before we went abroad and I ended up arriving at 2am to my destination when I was supposed to arrive at 10:45pm, this was the worst fight experience and we didn't even got an apology for the inconvenience."

Pros: "United airlines canceled a flight last minute that I needed in order to get to my best friends' wedding on time, I usually fly AA but the United flights were slightly cheaper at the time. The options United gave me would have had me missing the wedding, AA had more flights that allowed me to make it in time, considering it was booked 12 hours before take-off, it was decently reasonable and left on time and got in early (imagine that, United). Thank you American Airlines, again!"

I could have just gone directly to my car as I had no other checked bags. Very poor service. I will avoid booking with American Airlines in the future."

Cons: "We were downgraded from Main Cabin Extra rows 7 and 8 to row 30. We were told that we will get refund automatically. However, we received nothing. Getting a refund back is now becomes a very complicated process with zero transparency. Main Cabin Extra is kind of a scam. We bought it specifically for an extra leg room. Cons: "When we made reservations in February we opted for economy plus seating 8C and 8D on an Airbus A320. In June we received notice of a schedule and equipment change to a Boeing 737-300. I was not told or given the option to change seat assignments, and we were assigned middle and window seats 28E and 28F, which were torture, so narrow and almost no legroom. Why weren't we automatically assigned economy plus seats? Adding insult to injury I had to apply for a refund for the seat upgrade, which again should have been automatic. Seeing as how the return flight was code-shared with AirCanada, United did not give us the option to upgrade seating, so I was forced to call United, waited almost 40 minutes so that they could give me the AirCanada booking reference number which then enabled me to upgrade seats via AirCanada's website. Lucky thing too because there weren't many economy plus seats left. I consider myself to be a savvy traveler, but there were too many unknowns and hoops to jump through in order to get proper seating. Plus the extra fees for premier access and baggage are exorbitant. Finally, I bought an egg white flatbread snack which was awful. I don't see how United gets away with this treatment, it certainly doesn't make for an enjoyable experience when vacationing. In fact we are seriously considering not taking any more vacations requiring flying. We're happy that airlines are profitable, but not at the expense of comfort or navigating options that require very sophisticated knowledge."

Cons: "I was flying with Spirit Airways from Boston to Atlanta on the 5th of August 2016. Unfortunately, I missed the flight due to my flight with Delta Airways being delayed in Amsterdam. I had booked a return flight with Spirit Airways for the 25th August 2016. I understood, of course, that this was not the fault of Spiirt Airways that I missed the outbound flight. I went to the check in desk, explained that I had been delayed in Amsterdam and could they possibly get me on the next outbound flight. As it turned out there was not another flight available for two days. So I explained to the staff in Boston, that I would try and get a flight to Atlanta with another Airline. Which I was able to do for the same evening. However, I made sure to tell the Spirit Staff that I would be traveling on the return flight, and the lady confirmed that this was fine. My express words were, I know that I have missed the flight, and thats OK but I am checking in now and want it confirmed the my return flight is still booked and i am checked in for it. The lady said Yes , that will be no problem! She also gave me the contact number for customer service, so that I could phone them and see if there way anything I could do.I was informed this was a free number and when I phoned it, I spoke to somebody in India, whom I could not understand, a few minutes later my twenty credit was gone, so obviously NOT a free number! I found another Airline to take me to Atlanta. So I was happy in the knowledge that my return flight with Spirit was fine and I was checked in for it. However this turned out not to be true! I received an email from Kayak a couple of days later, to say that , as had not checked in, both flights had been cancelled. Of course, I was furious, I telephoned Kayak to see if there was anything I could do but they told me I must get in contact directly with Spirit, which I did. It was, once again, the customer service number, in India! They told me I would have to go to the counter in Boston and ask why my return flight was cancelled. At this time I am in Atlanta and asked them, did they realize how far Atlanta was from Boston!! I also asked to speak to a Superviser, at which point I was cut off! I then telephoned again and asked was it the normal procedure to cancel both the outbound and return flight, if the outbound flight was missed. I did not get an answer to this question except to say they did not know, again I asked to speak to a Superviser to be told no. I had checked in, as far as I knew, the return flight had been paid for, so I do not understand or accept that they had any right to cancel my return flight. I also had no choice but to rebook my flight with Spirit because I had to get my connecting flight from Boston on the same day. This cost me $211 plus $50 for my check in bag. Given that I had already confirmed with Spirit, this is a total disgrace and I have been treated very badly by them. I fly regularly and have never encountered anything like this"

The baggage and seat fees add a significant amount to the cost of the ticket so that it is no longer less expensive than a more reliable airline. I will never fly Spirit again."
