And although the partner with Azul, they claimed that they could not check us through to our final destination. Coming home, Azul did this for us without issue. Gates E-9 and E-10 at Fort Lauderdale are a disaster waiting to happen. There is inadequate separation between the two gates to allow efficient boarding. When the flight out of E-9 got delayed, they ended up boarding two flight at the same time. Boarding announcements dd not specify flights and it became a huge snafu. The crew did not try to change it - they plowed ahead ignoring the confusion they were causing. On board, the movies did not run smoothly - one was restarted three times. I have tried to book on Jet Blue firt in the past. My last three experiences are making me rethink this."

My flight arrived in time and I barely made the gate and TAP called my name as I was running to the gate on time, but since JetBlue changed my flight they said I couldn't get on the flight I was scheduled and purchased. So I had to get a hotel, neither paid for that or the money I spent in Boston for over 24 hours. Terrible work."

All our questions were simply ignored. They gave us coupons for food for ten dollars. Nothing can be bought with that money. And they didn’t have coupons for everyone so had to wait a lot until they brought all the coupons. Boarding was a nightmare. Crew couldn’t care less. A woman refused to seat far from her “kids” (about 9 and 14) and flight attendants didn’t do anything ti stop the woman from blocking the aisle. We were already almost three hours late. Overall the worst experience."

Pros: "COPA offers excellent service! Their newer aircrafts have individualized monitors on each head rest for added control of what one wishes to view. Clean and spacious aircraft. Nice crew and bountiful beverage/ meal service. Fair luggage allowance and flight options will keep us coming! Keep it up!"
Cons: "Panamanian TSA has a second checkpoint at each gate. This means you get the general check we are all used to, but at the gate there's a second patdown and x-ray where liquids purchased inside the terminal are discarded or you have to exit the gate area to drink it! People had to give up their sealed, duty free bags and we had to give up our cans of soda we had just purchased. Fuller disclosure- in Spanish and English- should be given to patrons at stores and BEFORE entering the gate to avoid displeasure. We know drug traffickers are slick, but innocent people don't appreciate the inconvenience. My son's blunt tip, plastic, safety scissors were also taken at this airport because of the thin "blade" affixed to the plastic, but it left the USA in his school pencil case without any issues on our way there."

Multiple people stood in the aisle to use the restrooms (6-7) which meant they were in our faces (I thought the US limited how many people can stand in line on a plane post 9/11); people also got up and did not pay attention to seat belt signs throughout the flight and the crew did nothing. The film was the same one shown Southbound, not as listed in magazine. We were late taking off and late landing (the latter beyond the captain's control, don't know about why we were late to take off)."

Don't expect entertainment screens or charging ports, although my connecting flight did have these. Depends on which plane you get, I suppose. Cons: "I was quite disappointed once again that I was never informed that in order to have a vegetarian meal it had to be ordered ahead of time and the only meal options both were meat. So I was served a single roll and a salad aka (one slice of cucumber and about 3 fork fulls of lettuce) but hey that's better than getting nothing on the 1st dlight. Also I was given an exit seat and was literally the first person in line that morning to check in but when I boarded I was told I had to move my seat because I didn't speak spanish... So why assign me the seat in the first place. Also flight was delayed about an hour and a half NOT due to weather conditions."

Cons: "Copa airline is a terrible airline. Not sure how they still in business. The ticketing agents were extremely rude and show a great deal of careless towards their customers. I arrived had already checked in, i had no luggage i simply had a backpack and a carry on bag.She told me that my plane was gone 1.5hr before departure. She went in the system type customer missed flight. What she did was deceptive, unethical, and of course should be illegal. I still believe that flight was overbooked, copaairline had to cancel my previous flight due to the weather. When i contacted copa airline directly nothing they could do they said. I was advised by copaairline to wait 3-4 hrs to reactivate my ticket. I was told specifically by a gentleman that there was a flight boarding at 12am. I waited at the airport for about 8hrs to find out there wasno 12am flight that day. I cant make this up people, i have never in my entire life experience that level of stress and anxiety. I want my money back!!!"

Meal choice was broad and tasted very good. Beer selection was very limited on all my Copa flights from the US to South America and back. I love their new 737-800 aircraft."

(The site I booked through didn’t give me - or at least I didn’t see it- the option to request a special meal.) In this day and age, I really recommend they have a non-meat option. On another flight on this trip, I also asked for hot tea from the drink cart, and they said it was coming, and it never came."

At any given time there was a line of 5+ for the bathroom and there was no non-meat meal option so from our 7 am flight through our connecting flight home we had nothing to eat."

I like to buy my ticket 3 to 4 to months ahead so i can reserve my seats in the first rows. When it is the time to do the web check in, they change my assign seats and separates us in different seats back in the airplane."

Cons: "I did not care for the fact that they set up a checkpoint after I made my connecting flight then made me recheck through security at which point they tried to confiscate our very expensive duty free purchase that was in a sealed duty free bag! Only when I demanded a manager did they stop trying to confiscate it. At which point they made me check my carry on luggage! I find this very suspicious since I also discovered that someone tried to access the inside of my luggage at Panama City on the initial flight! Your crew on the ground and in the terminals in Panama City are running scams! Beware! Very disturbed by this and plan on sharing this on social media as a beware to copa travelers going through or to Panama City! Literally set up check point at ramp to plan confiscating stuff bough in the terminal after already going through security!"

Played lion on small overhead screens After over 1h at passport control, our luggage wasn't there, they sent a few suitcases and told us that was it but then They made us wait like 15 more min for our suitcases... Cons: "Our return flight from Atlanta to Boston was cancelled due to mechanical problems. Spirit had no way to rebook us in a timely manner (a fight 4 days later was offered from their help line). Since they only had one flight a day from Atl to Bos, any cancellation would be close to impossible to rebook for stranded customers. Unfortunately I cant recommend this airline to anyone unless you have a flexible schedule both ways. I had a test the next morning, so got a full refund for the return trip, and instead of arriving home at 3pm I arrived at 1 am . Plus the added cost of a last minute flight on a different airline."

Charge to check in at airport, charge you to carry on more than a purse or backpack, charge you to pick seats, checked luggage fees are ridiculous and are limited to 50 pounds. Seats wouldn't recline and you had very little leg room. Can't imagine flying in those seats for more that a couple hours. And if you are over weight! Good luck fitting in the seats! They don't even give you water. All food and drinks must be purchased. Our family will avoid this airline in the future."

Pros: "The food and drink packages are great and really not expensive. The seats are smaller and seats don't recline, but comfortable enough if you are average weight or less. The crew is meh, didn't really look like they loved their job on or off the plane. Pilot did not greet people getting off of the plane which I have seen with other airlines - that would be a nice touch."
Cons: "Flight down to Fort Lauderdale was cancelled we were told "because of the crew". It went downhill from there. No updates on progress...The spirit team at Boston airport was clueless and rude. Finally after hours of waiting and wondering how this all was to be handeled, we were told the "only option" was to get a flight to fort Meyers the next day at 3pm and get bussed to ft Lauderdale. This inaction would have caused us to miss not just the one day we already missed, but another on top of that. And I kid you not, we spoke to 7 different staff members, including the female who looked to be in charge, and not one of them uttered an actually apology for the inconvenience. I had to call on my own to rebook and pay $1,400 to get another flight one way for 3 of us. We booked spirit to save $$, and we actually ended up spending more and missing a day of our hard-earned vacation. We will never fly spirit again. I have been bumped from flights before, but NEVER has it been so mishandled and we were never treated as if we were an annoyance. We should have been offered compensation above and beyond the refund of our one way flight."

When I was paying for it online, the website crashed three times while processing my payment (in two different browsers) and ultimately wouldn't let me print my boarding ticket. Secondly, when waiting to board, the staff person at the counter made a drawn-out announcement about the checked bag fee increasing no fewer than twenty times. Similarly, the credit card membership announcement during the flight was a fifteen-minute affair that was irritating and unwelcome. I understand that it's a budget airline and that part of enjoying reduced ticket fare is a compromise to endure advertisements and extra fees for things, but when it becomes endless and annoying, preventing you from talking to your neighbor, sleeping, or just enjoying the flight, it really calls into question whether it's worth it. Finally, the cabin was much too hot and, although several people called it to the staff's attention, the air conditioning never seemed to work. Overall it was an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience that made me reconsider whether it was worth the reduced fare, which isn't all that much lower than the mainstream option. I was disappointed and frustrated."

Cons: "The flight was canceled after waiting two and a half hours for the delay. One person was allotted to take care of hundred and more people who looked for another flight. We added hundreds of $$$ to our original tickets and left Boston, going to Baltimore in another airline, because there were no more flights on Spirit that day. How worst can it be?"

Cons: "No complimentary served even with a long flight and my luggage costs were more then my tickets"

Pros: "The crew was friendly and the flight was inexpensive."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by an hour, even after receiving 2 emails saying it was back on track. There was no one at the kiosk at the gate to answer questions about when the flight was taking off so everyone was just sitting around kind of clueless. You had to pay for all snacks on the flight, which I didn't mind, because I understand it keeps the price down. The plane made a lot of odd noises that I've never heard before. When we finally got to the terminal, they told us there was "bad news" and that we couldn't get off the plane because they were having an issue attaching the walkway. This happened the last time I flew spirit. Unfortunately I don't think I will be flying with them again, regardless of the lower price."

Cons: "The people were kinda rude that worked with the airline, and a wheelchair was requested at terminals for a person I was traveling with. It was not supplied I had to pay united to supply one"

Tray in front was good for a cup and maybe a small bag of peanuts to fit on. All said the comfort i could get over for being a budget airline. The additional costs for things i wouldnt expect to get charges for make it not worth my time or cost effective. Could have flown cheaper with amaerican or united after everything was totaled."

Cons: "The fact that Spirit Airlines nickles & dimes you all the way. The base fare was about $60 and I've since spent over $200 on this flight. Between carry on and checked luggage fees, seat costs, and even a cost to print boarding pass (since they don't have mobile boarding passes), I'm over $200 for this one way ticket from Detroit to Boston. This morning I arrived to the airport at 6:15 AM for a 7:15 AM flight. I was already checked in and had paid for my checked bag. I was directed to the wrong line to give them my bag. After waiting in this line for about 25 minutes, I was directed to another line. By the time I got up to the an agent - they informed me I was too late by 10 minutes and would be missing my flight. I fly just about every other week for work and this has NEVER happened and would never happen with airlines like Jet Blue, American and Delta. Today I'm missing a very important day of work. In addition to all the costs associated with this flight, cab fares to/from the airport and hotel expenses are totaling just about $200. I will absolutely NEVER fly Spirit again."

Cons: "Arrived 50 mins before my flight and was told it was "closed." Got absolutely horrible service and virtually no real effort to help me either board or find another flight. It was one of the craziest things I've ever seen. I would have very easily been able to make the boarding time based on the security line."

Pros: "Nothing! There was a super long security line- spirit didn't arrange for a faster security. Heck and as a result 30people missed their flight"

Pros: "Flight attendants were extremely loud,chatting about their own personal issues at 7am while I was trying to get a little rest, then proceeded to start doing magic tricks. Yes, literal magic tricks in the back galley. For some reason back of the plane was totally full and front of the plane was nearly empty with their assigned seats. Will not fly spirit again."

Cons: "Now the comfort was horrible. Even know I had 3 seats to stretch out on it was not comfortable. The seats it self has like an inch of cushion. It doesn't recline back at all so your whole flight you are in an upward position."

Cons: "Seats are terribly uncomfortable and cramped. Spirit sucks you in with what appears a reasonable price. After you pay all the additional fees, it's no less expensive than any other airline. Web was page difficult to navigate. It took 4 different phone calls to get passenger names on tickets to match the names on their frequent flyer account. I won’t be a frequent flyer on Spirit, I will avoid them at all cost"

Waited too long out on runway for available gate . ..etc. Can't trust their services, paid extra 5 bucks ( $55 ) for carrying It's not excited for business or pleasant. You pay what you get. You learn from mistake."

Cons: "No TSA pre-screen, bags are 40, not 50 lb. minimum and the fee for overage is ridiculous. Had to wait to depart and then to gate at the destination due to "paperwork" issues. This easily made the trip 45 minutes longer than it should have been."

Pros: "Boarding was prompt and organized. Seats were relatively comfortable. Crew was average but cordial. They charge for everything separately but doing things beforehand online is easy and honestly less Hassel than at the airport."
