Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

A simple announcement every 10-15 minutes would have made a big difference. Also video screens on several rows did not work, no entertainment for a 7 hr flight."

Pros: "Of the multiple international airlines I recently flew with, I would have to say KLM was by far the best. Relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating, great in-flight entertainment, although I have the go-go in-flight data/entertainment plan with t-mobile (highly recommended), the flight included a decent selection of movies, television programs, etc. The food far exceeded typical "airline quality," even for an international flight - and included a fabulous little snack box with locally sourced gourmet and specialty items such as chocolate from Belgium, fine cheeses from France, and crackers from England. Drinks = gratis, and crew was exceptionally attentive and went out of their way to make flight as pleasant as possible."

Ground staff in Marseiile great but gate crew didn't control carry on baggage and many of us could not use overhead bins because of passengers who stowed more than one and often oversized suitcases above, so we and many others had to place carry on suitcases under seat. Attendant on plane totally unhelpful and could have rearranged a few bags to make room but preferred to stay in back of plane and talk. To be fair, rest of flight was pleasant although late due in part to boarding issues."

I didn't have to, but I preordered my meals and that info was registered, and that way I got what I wanted. I also made use of the Admirals Clubs during layovers."

Cons: "The crew. It seems that the US crew has gotten used to treating customers like animals and giving treats to deplane or calling security is a norm now. They seem to forget that they are working in a service industry. On our flight which was international and long they had quarantined the entire back rows for themselves and one of the bathrooms was also for their use only. In addition they had two choices for the meal they served Chicken and Pasta and they mentioned to customers that they had run out of Chicken. One of the passengers in our group of seven could not eat pasta as she had dietary restrictions after surgery and they told her too bad and she should have ordered a special meal. When she spoke up she was threatened with security. This person is a respected physician in her community and understands the service industry well. The worse part is the crew then proceeded to eat chicken dinners right behind her seat and continued to talk rudely about her. They had not run out of chicken meals just kept them for themselves. It seems American Airlines spends lots of advertising dollars about choosing to fly with them but is forgetting to train their staff about being nice to passengers."

And the snacks were available at the back much later but when I went to check it out almost everything was gone! Other airlines come to offer you snacks! AA did not and the make me feel like an intruder when I went to check the empty snacks trays! Only the package food was still available. Horrible service, mean big headed crew! It's is simple! Be nice and make an effort! Especially for the people that actually is there paying the premium!"

Our boarding passes were printed by our hotel as were many others that we saw. We went to a desk where another individual started asking question about our life and where we were going. Still, no one thought it was necessary to explain what part of the process or what exactly is going on. The man that diverted us, I'll bet, does not have reasons or any idea why he diverted us. I hate to think that he did it because we were Black Americans."

I had to cross the Atlantic for 9 hours with no movies to distract me. I'm shocked that the business class crew still treat coach passengers with disrespect as if they are second class citizens."

The tray table was also dirty - so dirty that the crew member used a napkin to pull it out. Gross. Comfort: Ruined by the rude staff and the dirty tray table that was forced on me. Water was coming out of the wall. Both bathrooms didn't have soap dispensers (not even empty ones - they never had any out to start with), and by the time I went both were out of toilet paper and hand napkins. Food: Didn't touch it because of how disgusted I was at the flight by this time. Entertainment: Something is better than nothing."

Cons: "United Express flies out of Terminal A at Newark (EWR) and routinely they do not have Precheck lanes open. Despite flying on the Saturday after Thanksgiving they only had one mixed security line open. When I asked TSA they said they simply weren't staffed to have a Precheck line open. Everyone was working diligently but this happens every time we fly United out of Newark. Traveling with 2 small children it is incredibly frustrating to have to go through the full security line, take off our shoes, and take all of our electronics out of our bags."

Cons: "Since it was a smaller plane the seating room was tight."

Pros: "Fantastic flight, comfort seats and individual entertainment. I really like how they distribute the Groups before boarding."
Cons: "No complaints, the only thing is that just a "pasta dish" and "tiny, tiny sandwich" for a 9 hour flight was ridiculous."

Cons: "The flight was fine, but my flight was cancelled on the 29th and the agent who helped rebook my flight was abrupt, then I get to the airport on the 30th and the flight is delayed another 2 hours. Of course it was all "weather" related, so no help from the airlines. I'm not a satisfied customer. I would have flown Delta if it was possible."

Cons: "The pilot speeding up and then putting on the brakes time after time on flight from Norfolk 10:30 am to Dulles today. Very rough flight and it was beautiful smooth air today. I'm a private pilot and could not figure out what was going on,"

Cons: "No legroom, snack a joke, no entertainment."

Pros: "Service was great. Took off on time and landed early! Food was pretty good as airlines go. My TV monitor stopped working part way through the flight but really no a big deal."

Pros: "United in flight entertainment app was wonderful"
Cons: "Wrong plain, delayed boarding, meals weren't heated."

Cons: "The flight was delayed about 4 hours but United did not tell us it was delayed even at the ticket office. We ran into the gate and found out that the flight was not even came from the US. There were many people (especially elderly people) who need to transfer another flight in DC. I think they did not make it."

Pros: "Flight crew was very nice. Made up a little time on the flight and landing was smooth."
Cons: "This is my second delayed flight on united / lufthansa in a few months (2 for 4). Horrible leg room and person in front of me had seat all of the way back so she was on my lap and I had to ask her to move up. Food just so so - carbs with carbs (pasta with cous cous). There was very little information about the flight delay (when would we be boarding, etc.)."

Pros: "We were delayed leaving Barcelona causing some anxiety about making the connecting flight at Washington Dulles. We made it!"

Cons: "Had to rebook, flying first to Munich then to Newark. Arrived home 6 hours later than should have."

Cons: "Boarding group announcrments were hard to understand. Aisle were full of people getting settled and nobody could move. Loading back to front makes more sense."

Pros: "We flew Air Canada to Venice and United Airlines from Barcelona to Washington. The United flight was very nice. The economy plus seats were spacious enough, the service great and the food acceptable. I titled this A Surprise" because of the Air Canada leg of the trip."
Cons: "Air Canada from Montreal to Venice was terrible. The plane was cold and and lacked any of the electronics available on most flights. the service was equally poor with food barely editable and no water offered to prevent dehydration. I was truly disappointed in Air Canada and having flown a variety of airlines around the world would expect more from such a great country."

Pros: "the seats were very comfortable. leg room was great!"
Cons: "the crew needs an attitude adjustment. the one very rude black guy. he spoiled my experience with united. I'm sure I won't be the only one mentioning this."

Cons: "Flight was one and a half hours late taking off and caused me to miss my next flight,my luggage was lost. I had to take other flights and I eventually arrived home 6 hours later than I had anticipated."

Pros: "Having movies is the best, followed by pillows and blankets"
Cons: "Stressed and unfriendly attendants (except 2). Didn't ask meal preference, just gave me chicken and I had to ask for switch. Would say things like "I don't have time" and "we'll do it later when the cart comes around". Only had 1 drink service, I don't think they made it all the way to my row. Very different than flight from USA to Paris."

Pros: "The flight was on time and smooth, crew were friendly."
Cons: "It was freezing cold in the plane. People were putting on sweatshirts and jackets and covering up with blankets. Why should we be required to bring winter clothes with us when plane interiors are temperature-controlled?"

Cons: "Please read above--I was standing at the gate waiting to board when the gate rep told me and another passenger there was only one seat left--on a flight I was confirmed on! The other passenger said he had a family obligation and the rep handed him the last ticket before I could get a word out. I felt so disrespected and like my business and money meant nothing to United. Then began my saga to get to Portland. Unbelievable."

Pros: "Entertainment options were great, and the food was decent."
Cons: "The seat were really uncomfortable."

Pros: "There were empty seats and the very polite flight attendant offered for me to move without me having to ask."
Cons: "I arrived at my final destination and walked to baggage claim. I was just standing there waiting when a young girl walked by me in a uniform and said rudely and almost annoyed, "do you have a question". I replied that I was waiting on my bag. She then said these are it and I said so my bag has been lost? Without any empathy AT ALL she again, rudely and now most definitely annoyed said Do you have your bag tag? I said yes and she proceeded to walk away to a corner office. I assumed I was to follow. She took my tag, no communication at all from her, I said what are you doing and she replied I have to file a claim. She then proceeded to tell me that Newark Airport was horrible and never travel through there if I know what's good for me. This was extremely unprofessional. I was simply wanting some guidance from her on what to expect etc. I had to ask her what my next steps were. She handed me a flyer and said if I had any questions to call baggage information listed on the pamphlet. I left. The next day at about 1 p.m. I called the number and the update said my bag had left the airport and was out for delivery. Keep in mind that I had to work the next day after the airline losing my bag and had to purchase shower items etc due to them being in my lost bag. Portland jetport and my home address is less than 40 minutes apart, yet my bag did not arrive at my home until 8:30 p.m. and I'm also not confident it would have ever arrived because I called around 7 p.m. and spoke with someone who called the delivery service to ask their ETA. I paid $25 to check my bag and yet it was lost. What did I pay for?! If I can help it, I will NEVER fly United again and I'll be certain to tell everyone I know about my experience with this airline."

Cons: "Didnt respected the "extra legroom" I bought in All my flights in this trip. It was the same as seating in the last row. Go to KLM and learn not to steal extra money."

Pros: "I was put in a hotel so I could sleep after I missed my connecting flights due to the seven hour delay"
Cons: "I had a seven hour delay and missed my connecting flights in the United States."
