Cons: "Our trip to Europe required three legs: Boston to Ljubljana, Slovenia; Slovenia to Barcelona; and Barcelona to Boston. Each leg required a plane change in Istanbul which added a lot of time to the trip and resulting jet lag. We knew this going in but were motivated by the very low fare. I don't think I'd do it again."

Cons: "The crew offered no help or solutions when I was denied af security and had to return to ticketing to check a bag. They refused to check the bag and caused me to miss the flight, and offered to rebook me for over $2000. Shady. Most unhelpful agents. You'd just better hope you don't have an issue, because the customer service is some of the worst I've experienced. Won't fly them again."

I was also appalled to have my connecting flight delayed for over 24 hours without proper notification."

I do not know of any other long haul airlines that have these. I will probably not fly Turkish Airlines on any flights over 3 hours due to the cramped space caused by your footrests. Other than space, everything else was excellent."

Cons: "I showed up roughly an hour before the flight, as I had no bags to check in. The employees at the check in counter had already cleared out, so I was unable to get my boarding pass. Then when I called in, they were extremely unhelpful. They gave me no alternative options, and instead only listed out a ridiculous list of fees and said I they could get me on a flight a different day for a total cost that was greater than what I had paid for the entire round trip ticket. I asked to speak to a manager and they refused to connect me. I ended up buying a one way ticket home with another airline. I will not fly with Turkish Airlines again in the future, and I would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Just beware of this service if you see them listed as the cheapest option."

The seats are comfortable, and there are a larger selection of movies and songs to choose from which were also great. The flight was relatively stable. I didn't ever realize that we took off, maybe i was too tired to notice, i don't know."

Cons: "We booked basic seats knowing we might not sit together however we did not know they would separate children. They put my husband and I in an exit row and my daughter at the back of the plane with strangers. I was not comfortable with strangers being responsible for my child. I assumed they would seat children with at least one parent. We did ask to move at the gate and the accommodated us with the last row on the plane. No recline, no window, and right next to the bathrooms. We took it to be with our kid but this policy needs to be revised. Kids should always be seated with the adult responsible for them... who knows what kind of person might end up next to my child. Not to mention if she had needed something is the stranger gonna take care of it? It’s just a bad practice imo."

The rntertainment choices were very limited unless you enjoy superhero movies or a very limited range of audio/musical selections. So it goes in coach class."

Pros: "The flight was nearly full, but I lucked out. One person in my row did not show up, so myself and the other lady in my row had the benefit of having an open seat in between us. The crew was cheerful and accommodating. They did the normal beverage service, but also brought complimentary water and coffee 3x during the rest of the flight. This was greatly appreciated, especially after 5 days of drinking and partying. My buddies and I spent two and a half days in Las Vegas for a bachelor party followed by two days in the LA area for a wedding (yes we did it Hangover style) :) Thank you Delta!"

Cons: "Weather delay caused us (and hundreds, or perhaps thousands, of other travelllers) to miss connections. Lufthansa lost our luggage, and to get rid of us, told us they would send it to the hotel we had to check into on account of the overnight delay. They never delivered the luggage, and other employees later told us over the phone that this was not going to happen. The terminal was filled with tired and frustrated travelers, and to make matters worse, the Lufthansa staff were temperamental and condescending to many. At the peak of the chaos, the Lufthansa staff went out on break, while hundreds waited in line for over 8 hours. We expected more - much more - in one of Lufthansa’s own German domestic hubs."

The crew took time to tell us what we would be seeing as we flew, it was a beautiful morning for the flight until we experienced overcast skies in Austria- Germany. The staff did their job well with minimal comfort disruption."
Cons: "I would take this flight again. The only thing I would change is unloading procedure of walking down stairs on the outside of the terminal, then loaded on a stand up bus for a rather long ride to the terminal. It reminded me of London. But, I guess it is something you have to deal with."

Pros: "Flew back last weekend in February. Transfer between plane from Barcelona in Frankfort (LH hub) to flight to Boston extremely chaotic. Masses of passengers all attempting to transfer to US bound flights. Insufficient staff from both Lufthansa and German border control to process or even organize the masses of people flying that day. Mob scene at transfer points. Not up to LH usual standards. Quite surprising as their passenger volume data should have alerted them to impending problems. Our flight was delayed over an hour for takeoff so USA bound connecting passengers (whose luggage was already on the planes) could be processed."

Pros: "The crew was great. It was only a short flight, so we only got a c0okie, but what a cookie!! Big and soft and super tasty. And the coffee was quite good. Germany has never been known for its superb coffee, but this coffee was very good. None of that fakey airline taste to it at all. Could easily be the gourmet coffee you'd serve at home. You DO serve gourmet coffee at home, right? And water and juice and then more water and more juice, all served up by very nice people--not just good service personnel, good people. Baggage pickup was quick and smooth--I travel with my cat, so pickup can be rocky. Nothing to it here."

Pros: "They were average in terms of comfort and crew. You can only get so conofortable in economy class and the crew did what they were expected to. I did feel that my empty meal tray was left on my table for quite some time though."
Cons: "We had no individual entertainment on the flight, only very old CRT screens hanging from the ceiling, circa 1995. They did show movies but the sound quality was poor and my headphone jack did not work so I had to share with my husband. They offered no explanation for this, since their website clearly promises individual screens for international flights. When asked, the FA simply said "this isn't our usual plane for these types of flights." However, we had the same issue when flying to Frankfurt with them, so the company seems to just be lying. The food can barely pass as food. Everything was ice cold except the main dinner entree, even the bread. The only vegetable available throughout our 8+ hour flight was shredded carrots absolutely swimming in mayonnaise. The boarding process was exceedingly slow and they would not allow use of cell phones for boarding passes, although their check in provides the attachments. This required probably 1/4 of those boarding to have to step aside to another line for a paper copy. Again, no apologies or explanations from the company. Overall, I wish I had shopped around a bit more and chosen another airline. International flying is supposed to be somewhat enjoyable, even in economy class. Instead, this was the longest 8+ hours of my life."

I also think that in the Barcelona airport there should be just a line to drop off the luggage since there is a self check out machine. It doesn't make sense to do the self check out and still get on the regular check out line to drop off the luggage."

Cons: "The airplane left Barcelona late and arrived in Frankfurt late. Lufthansa only allowed a 45 minute layover in Frankfurt to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. Because we arrived late - we only had 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight to Seattle. What made this an awful experience is that the flight from Barcelona landed at Gate A - our connecting flight was at Gate Z. This was as about as far away from each gate as you could get. This was over a mile to run in order to catch our connecting flight - I hurt my hamstring during the run. The Lufthansa "assisting agent" in the Frankfurt terminal was less than helpful and laughed when we told her where our connecting gate was. Not only did she laugh but she did not offer any assistance to get us to the gate on time. Prior to our trip - I called Lufthansa and voiced my concern that a 45 minute layover for an international flight was not a lot of time for us to make a connecting flight. The agent I spoke with said that legally - 45 minutes was a standard lay over for Lufthansa and she did not offer me any alternatives. This was not a pleasant experience with Lufthansa and I doubt we will fly with you again."

Running around at JFK from terminal four, to terminal seven, to terminal eight, back to terminal four, to get a flight out, was a bit much considering how tired we were – not to mention hungry, since KLM neglected to provide the kosher meals we had requested with plenty of time – BOTH going to and returning from Europe."

As my booking was through FinnAir she had to go through THREE systems (Finn Air / BA/ AA) to get me to London on time. PLEASE recognize her customer service !!!!!!"

There should have been someone as passengers reached the end of the concourse from the plan to remind them to get their baggage. I knew but there were at least five around me in line for customs that did not know and I informed them. Wine was awful."

I heard one saying "we're landing in 1.5 hours while serving the snack and the flight tracker showed about 50 min. They even dropped an empty can from the trash bag on me and not a single apology."
