Cons: "How about being stranded at Narita Airport due to bad weather AND not helping your passengers rebook. Told us the flight was cancelled at 10:30pm when suppose to fly out at 7:30pm. No trains or hotels available, only way to rebook was through their phone service? Which didn’t open until 8am. Why not rebook at the ticket desk, guess what? You can’t!"

Pros: "Food was excellent and service came frequently. In-flight entertainment was amazing."

Pros: "The seats were comfortable for economy, but that's about it. Unfortunately, everything else ranged between mediocre and okay. For non stop to Japan, I'd rather fly ANA."
Cons: "The whole entire class system that they are beholden to as if we're still living in feudal Japan. Swiss & Lufthansa serves more meals and at higher quality than JAL. The drinks were also blah. JAL focuses more on their Business Class and First Class Passengers. Even their luggage comes in first."

Pros: "Premium comfort seats are worth it especially on longer flights; totally recommend. Plum wine is a great add to menu"
Cons: "You need to call to reserve seat. Then was told I could only upgrade at the airport and not on the phone, risking to loose the few available premium comfort seats. Old movies. Poor red wine. Food still just okay."

Pros: "Japan Airlines gets it right. The boarding was very calm and efficient. The attendants were working the whole flight to make the trip pleasant. Food was good."
Cons: "There could have been a few more diverse choices on the entertainment channels but generally OK. The one complaint I had was that it was hot on most of the flight."

Pros: "Crew was polite and courteous, spoke multiple languages, they came around multiple times to offer beverages, pilot/staff kept us informed about reason for delay to gate, arrived earlier than expected, usb charging available, bathroom was cleaned multiple times during flight, clean bathroom, and there were toothbrushes/sanitary pads available in the bathroom, and enjoyed that they had Haagen Daaz ice cream."
Cons: "The pocket in front had no room to put a drink/bottle. Food was relatively better compared to other airlines but okay. Movie selection was good but compared to other airlines has less."

Cons: "The headphone jacks are temperamental. If I put the headphone jack all the way in the port it would only play in the right ear of my headphone. On my flight to Tokyo and on my flight home the same thing happened. You has to pull the headphone jack out slightly to get sound in both earbuds."

Pros: "It was pretty comfortable for a 14hour flight and all the flight attendants were super nice and very helpful. Different then most airlines in my opinion. Next time I go to Japan it will be with Japan Airlines no doubt!"

Pros: "The food is good. The seats for regular economy are a bit more spacious. They also have some deal with fast food restaurants, Mos Burger and Yoshinoya so sometimes you can get their air version of the fast-food meals. I had Yoshinoya and it was pretty good. The entertainment was okay, the only 2 things I wanted to watch was John Wick 2 and Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but the movies change every month so it was probably a bad batch. Also free toothbrushes and toothpaste available on the plane and a self service snack area. Overall it was great."

Pros: "The flight was great once we left the ground, however having flown to the destination (Japan) in Premium Economy, the differences in experience were striking."
Cons: "The boarding crew seemed disorganized, the flight boarded 30 mins late and so we were delayed when it came time to taxi and take off. The flight had numerous crying babies on it, it was warm and stuffy once in flight, the crew brought you meals you didn't have a say in ordering and having to sit for an undetermined amount of time with the used tray in front of you really made the modest space even more so. I love JAL but this flight was not one of the better ones for me. Not through any fault of the staff, they are top notch, but certainly this flight ranks as just "okay"."

Pros: "The crew was always super polite and looked very professional and overall just great. The food was delicious, though the portions are small haha. I had my time behind and I was super late to boarding but the crew came looking for me and they were super nice. Definitely recommend them. Miles better than China Airlines and any of the USA based airlines too. The movie selection was pretty good and the seats were roomy and comfortable."

Pros: "Japan Airline is a notch above the rest. The services was constant and consistent, the food was delicious and abundant, and the seats were comfortable. I was surprised at how often they would go up and down the aisles checking on passengers, picking up trash, and serving small food items. To top it off towards the end of the trip they put toothbrushes in the bathroom so you can leave fresh, awesome."

Also, LGA is such a mess these days due to construction and would have been nice to get an email notification beforehand about it. We barely made our outgoing flight!"

I was rebooked on an earlier flight to Charlotte, which I could do because I had coincidently finished packing early and lived close to the airport. At the airport, my new flight was delayed, which could have caused me to miss my connecting flight to Boston and be stuck at the Charlotte airport overnight. I was then rebooked on a flight that was leaving to NY, with a connecting flight to Boston at 7."

I had to get a standby flight & thankfully got on. Why wasn't that equipment checked out long before it was used?"

Cons: "Last Friday I had booked my flight for 8am, but when I woke up at 5am I found that they had just cancelled my flight without reason or rescheduling at 4:30am. I called the flight (American Airlines) and was put on hold for 45 minutes. Once I was able to get a hold of someone I rescheduled my flight to 7am, which was very rushed. I still managed to reach on time. my 1st stop was LaGuardia and there my gate was exchanged several times and my flight was delayed for 2 hours to Montreal Canada. I reach Montreal and missed my connecting flight to Winnipeg. Again American Airlines did not reschedule for me, the best they can do is give me a $12 voucher for food. So I get my rescheduled for a flight 3 hours later with an additional atop to Toronto. Unfortunately due to all these circumstances I miss one of the wedding events. I was supposed to reach Winnipeg at 4pm but end up reaching at 12:30am. When returning from Winnipeg, I came across more problems. My flight was cancelled due to weather, and again it is delayed for two hours. Our plane had left the gate and so when the airports in NY were closed we were far from the gate. They made us take our luggage and walk back to the airport. There were no clear instructions given and again I had to reschedule. I was stuck in a country with no family or friends at the airport two hours short of a 24hour day. I am really disappointed in the kind of treatment I received as a flyer, and I have flown many times with other airlines. I also don't buy from Kayak, and this will be the first and last time I ever do."

I arrived in NYC at 10:00 in the evening."

Finally they let us through and we ran to the gate, which was closed but the staff opened the door and we got on. Thank goodness!!!"
