I asked the flight attendant about it and she said that I would have to go back up to the ticket agent to inquire there. So I did, and I was told when I walked back up the ramp to that kiosk that the ticked agent had just Closed The Flight. So, the other lady who was standing right there said that she had to escort a minor on to the flight and that she would accompany me back to the airplane and see if she could help. She did, and when we got back to hand off the minor to the flight crew she then inquired about that seat. It was agreed that the seat was going to be vacant, and since I am a 6' 1", 250 pound man, they all thought it would be a nice thing to allow me to sit in that first class seat at no extra charge! Wow!! What a difference that made on the 4 hour flight! Thank You Alaska Airlines for helping me out and hooking me up! I will remember that when I am booking my next trip!!"

First class and crew checked on me once to distribute food but never came back to collect garbage. Found myself getting up to throw away trash because they collected it from everyone around me. Also never came back to ask if I wanted a refill on my drink or if I was content; I was watching a movie so I was awake.
I've flown quite a bit over the last 15 years. One of the things that is getting out of hand is the way planes are boarded. Something has to change with everyone standing around the gate waiting for their group to be called to board. Not only that, but I see people who are not in a specific group attempt to get on the plane when it's not their turn and get on anyway. I think the plane needs to be boarded from the back of the plane to the front AND some of these bags people are taking don't fit and it takes up valuable overhead space. What I love about Delta is their crew is very professional and nice in which to work. What I found upsetting about this flight is I used some of the Skymiles to purchase ComfortPlus seats. ComfortPlus was called, we got on the plane and found we were not in ComfortPlus. Very upsetting when you're looking for that extra few inches of leg room.

Pros: "The KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring when there was confusion with my ticket."
Cons: "I booked KLM flights (Cork - Tampa return) but the planes were in fact Aer Lingus and Delta. So I have no idea what KLM is like. When I checked in at Cork the ground staff could only give me a boarding card for the first flight. For the second one she said I would have to go to the Delta counter in Amsterdam. It was difficult to find a counter there or staff as check-in was all by computer. The computer kept saying 'error' when I put in my code. I eventually was directed to a KLM desk (nicely hidden). I was told that my seat no longer existed. At this point the flight was ready to board. Thankfully the KLM ground staff were extremely helpful and reassuring and upgraded my ticket to economy comfort. On the way back, I could only get a boarding card for my first flight. The second two I had to collect at the boarding gate of the second flight."

The fold down snack trays are the size of a standard paperback novel. Summarized, you get what you pay for (if you don't want a carry on, checked bag, soda, or tiny snack.)"

On top of what appeared to be a mass exodus, or perhaps something you'd see in a third world country, those people who paid more $$ to have carry on bags, in zone 1 and be able to board first were most certainly not feeling the value. The gate experience was not well organized or orchestrated. After getting off the plane, our daughter realized once in baggage claim that she left her backpack on the plane. Not being experienced in this area, we asked for help. A police officer told my wife to go to Frontier office, where there was no one in the office, someone else said have them paged. There was no white courtesy phone in the area that was operating, so she went to Southwest and asked if they could page someone to come to the Frontier office and they said no, walked to next terminal to find a working courtesy phone, paged someone to Frontier and within 5 minutes ,10 people showed up. Asked if someone could help. They radioed to the gate that a passenger left their bag. What the rep should have said was that they called the gate, hopefully someone locates and if they do, they will bring it here and we will check on it in a few minutes. The person didn't say a word, 5 minutes later my wife asked what happens now. After a nice sigh and eye roll, the Frontier rep says if they found, they bring it. My wife asked would it be possible to see if they found it instead of just waiting around here for bodies to appear. The bag was eventually found and returned but the experience was just now a good one to say the least."

On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."
Pros: "I paid extra for preferred seating, arrived at airport 90 min before my departing domestic flight and they told me only 1 seat left on plane and they over booked. They wouldnt refund the $60 i spent and got stuck in middle for 5 hour flight"
Cons: "The seats were the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Couldn't sleep on the Redeye flight because seats were so stiff and didn't recline. I will choose other airlines if at all possible. Plus there's a charge for a glass of club soda for heaven sakes. Otherwise everything else was fine."

I will be flying other airlines even if they are more expensive, being charged for everything is insane. I paid for a carry on bag and no one even checked to see if I had one or not, if felt like a waste of money. If you are going to charge for things, make it a priority to see that we as a paying costumer actually paired and bring it with us."

The flight was full (of course) so there was not an option for another seat. I will pay more next time for another airline!"
Pros: "If it weren't for the convenience of a non-stop flight, I would not fly Frontier. I call the airline "Fleeced Here." They nickel and dime their customers for everything. Seat charge when checking in, carry on bag charge, charge for soft drinks and asking the customer for a 15, 20 or 25% tip for a service that once was part of the flight attendant's job responsibilities. The trip added approximate$ly $150 more to my flight. I will keep that in mind the next time I choose a carrier. My $176 ticket bloomed to $325 before I got home. :("

Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."

There was never an agent at the desk when people tried to ask. Our gate changed 3 times. Overall an awful experience and I will never be flying Frontier again."

Pros: "On Friday, July 8, at DIA airport I waited almost an hour before someone took me to my gate A42 for Flight 122 supposedly departing at 8:10 and boarding at 7:35. Finally, I had to bring this to the attention of the ticket agent as I did not want to miss my flight. Noone came and the poor overworked worker took me at 7:45 -we did not arrive at the gate until 8 o'clock (luckily the TSA checkpoints were NOT busy) and had the flight been on time, I would probably have missed it. This gentleman asked repeatedly for assistance for over 40 minutes and no one came to his aid. I panicked and I want Corporate to know they need to hire adequate help so their customers are not treated like dirt. Once I boarded, the crew was fabulous! However, I am not happy about such a horrible experience. I deserve a refund or free return ticket for my inconvenience. I have flown other airlines and have never had such a negative experience with wheelchair assistance!!!"

Cons: "No one explained to us why our 915 flight was delayed until 2 in the morning. And I'm sure the crew was just as exhausted as we were, which is completely understandable. However, aside from one stewardess, they showed how miserable they all were which in turn made the passengers more irritable. The flight home was much more tolerable."

Cons: "First, flight was delayed over 1 hour for non weather reasons. Next, my seat had NO arm rest cushion. It was missing. I asked the flight crew for a pillow or blanket, i was told they don't have any. They did not care about my seat not having an arm rest cushion. Next, no in flight entertainment. Once we landed, had to wait 15 minutes for an open terminal to pull up to. Then i still don't understand this, we all get up to get our overhead suitcases, and then the flight crew gets on the speaker and tells everyone to sit down because they need to get their suitcases first. Guess customers are not important to Frontier. Then lastly, not frontiers fault, but we then had to wait 1.25 hours to get our checked suitcases."
Pros: "The best part about the flight was when we landed in Dallas."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. The seats were very hard and could not adjust. There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."

Cons: "Flight was scheduled to depart at 9:20 PM on the 24th. On way to airport, I was advised of a 5 hour delay. At that point I returned home (1 hour 15 minutes from TPA airport) by which time the delay advice was increased to 7 hours. I called Frontier and they agreed to rebook me (at no charge) on a flight on Feb. 26th since all flights on the 25th were booked. I just checked and saw that Flt 291 actually departed TPA at 5:02 AM on the 25th. As always, it was stressful trying to talk to an agent having to listen through numerous recordings before I couold connect to ascertain times and make changes. I contacted Frontier at least 5 times and had language difficulties every time."
Pros: "First time flying with Frontier. No complaints other than having to pay for my carry on luggage. But when I only spent $80 (taxes and fees included) to fly from Dallas to Denver, I'm still happy."

Cons: "I had a 2.5 hour flight that landed around midnight-- unfortunately I was unable to sleep at all during the flight. Even though there are no complimentary drinks or snacks, the flight crew turned the lights on for over an hour so they could ask each patron if they wanted to purchase anything. The seats are tiny and I could barely fit my 5'3" frame legs comfortably in front of me. Do yourself a favor and pay more for a real airline."

Flight was delayed due to weather, which was not the fault of the airline at all. However, when it take an hour to deplane because they don’t have a ground crew to open the door, and it takes another 30-45 minutes for bags to even START coming, that IS the airlines fault.

Pros: "This was my first time flying Spirit and I had no issues. As long as you are taking a pretty short trip, this airline is great. Also, you should have everything with you, bag, drinks, snacks, etc. because you will pay extra for all of that. I carried a bag pack which fit under the seat and brought my own snacks and entertainment, so no issues. Flight was smooth and flight arrived ahead of schedule."

Pros: "On the plane, the seats were extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg room, even on the standard seats. Much more than on any flight I had flown with Southwest domestic. The staff was also a lot friendlier and generous. And there was plenty of room on the flight which made comfort affordable."
Cons: "They announced that the flight was departing from a different gate, but it wasn't listed on their website and there was no way to verify it on any screens. The gate that they said the flight would be departing out of instead still had the destination on it for the previous flight. Then, after that flight departed, it showed the destination for the next flight scheduled to leave out of that gate, not the one I was on. So frankly, a lot of people were very confused on where they were supposed to be waiting. Especially since, there was boarding for a different flight at the first gate, and no screen showing the flight that was being boarded there. So it caused a lot of nervousness for a lot of us, not being sure where we were supposed to be and afraid we would miss our boarding call."

Cons: "I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the LA airport and was notified that my flight was delayed and therefore I would not make the connecting flight. I asked for Spirit Airline to help come up with a solution. The agents at LAX kept me at the counter for over an hour making me miss my original flight to Dallas. All the Spirit agents kept saying is that corporate doesn't allow them to help. Only option was a refund or flight out of LAX 12hrs after my original flight and take a red eye. I was at the airport with (2) children under the age of 10. The people for Spirit had poor attitudes and lacked any effort to help come up a solution. I ended up having to book a same day flight from Delta Airlines. Delta flew out at 1pm. The (2) kids and myself were at the airport at 9am to catch the 10am flight from Spirit. Long day for us."

Cons: "On the outbound leg from Dallas I volunteered to move seats for weight and balance reasons at Spirit's request. My return leg was canceled by the gate agent or the system had me as a no show. I tried to check in for the return leg and was unable. I called to get this resolved and got a CSA that didn't understand airline travel or English not sure which. (One example was I spelled my confirmation code 5 times both phonetically and in plain language) I tried to explain that my return leg was cancel for some reason when I volunteered for the seat adjust on the outbound leg. She continued to ask me to book and make a new reservation. I asked for a supervisor and received no help. Decided the best course of action was to hang up and try to get someone else. After navigating the voice prompts again I finally got someone who asked me for proof I was on the outbound. I informed him no one saves the boarding passes he needs to check the manifest the TSA requires of all airlines. He backed off after he understood that I knew the system and reactivated my return leg. It is still a mystery to me why my return leg was canceled after the airline requested me to move seats. It seems Spirit have saved money on front line employee training and saved a good bit on off shore CSA call center. Last time I'll fly Spirit and I'm posting it everywhere I can. We traveled with our three kids under 8 and they would do nothing to seat us next to each other. We couldn't check in on-line so we were considered late check in, despite checking in at the airport 2 hours before the flight. We boarded and sat on the plane for an hour then deplaned due to faulty weather radar. 3 hour delay. Still no help to seat our family together. Very swaying and bumpy take off and landing. Seats don't recline. No drinks or snacks passed out, only for a charge. Cheapest airline ever. Will never fly again on Spirit. Flight home also delayed over an hour. Oh, and luggage max is 40, not 50 lbs., and they charge per bag per direction. They also charge you to book seats next to each other, despite us booking our flights months in advance and checking in 2 hours prior."

Extra charge for EVERYTHING, including a cup of water AND for cary-on bags. Had 2 flights from Tampa to Las Vegas. One was almost 2 hours late. MULTIPLE people felt the same way we did..... We will NEVER fly with Spirit Airlines again."

Then I was thrown off for objecting to such disrespect ful treatment. I will pay triple, double, quadruple to fly with another airline from now on. This airline and its employees are beyond rude and disrespectful. Do not go anywhere near this company. I was warned not to fly with them and I thought it could not be so bad. It was 100 times worse!!!"

Cons: "This airline is a joke. They advertise low prices to entice you to buy flights from them, then they've got you. The fees and charges to actually complete your trip are OUTRAGEOUS. My family and I began making jokes about all the fees, just to keep our sanity. I had initially booked us on American but switched it to Spirit because I thought I was saving $400. In the end, I spent 20% more flying Spirit We almost missed our return flight. After overly scolding us for cutting it so close, the lady at the ticket counter did everything possible to cause us to miss it. We sprinted to the gate where we were again chastised for not being earlier. Of course once we boarded, we sat there at the gate for over an hour due to maintenance issues. We concluded that they call the airline Spirit because they break your spirit if you fly this airline."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather. However, the Spirit e-mails were inaccurate and I almost missed boarding because I believed the e-mails and the airport board. When I, by chance checked the board, I found out that the incoming plane in question had landed and, therefore, went to the gate and learned that Spirit had "secretly" moved things up and would soon close the door. Had I believed the e-mail from Spirit, I would have been left -- and they would have blamed it on me -- because I relied on Spirit's e-mails."

When I got to the terminal the flight had been moved to 4 different terminals and then was taken down all together until one of the other spirit airlines flights left. This ultimately ended up putting is at a 2 hour delay on flight and almost caused me to miss my connecting flight. If it weren't for a good amount of other people needing the connection flight that I needed I would have missed my flight."
