Cons: "Offering WiFi would make the cramped and uncomfortable seats a little less unbearable."
Cons: "Never left been waiting since 6 am for an alternate flight with no luck being charged for carry-on n I have no money not even to eat and I gotta be here til 6 pm"
Pros: "That it took me home!"
Cons: "Been on time"
Cons: "Customer service"
Pros: "Crew was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Seats were hard, there were no entertainment options, and there were no complimentary refreshments."
Pros: "the bag check people were very friensly"
Cons: "I got to the airport 2 hours before my flight, then waited in line to check my bag for about an hour and 15 minutes. The people at the front said that they were slow because they were short-staffed, and not to worry because the delay was their fault and the plane wouldn’t leave without me. I went straight to the gate, and when I arrived, the gate door was closed. They told me I was too late. They did not have any other flights going out that day—the next one was the following day and was a 30-hour trip, and they said I’d have to pay $100 in processing to switch the flight. They refused to help me book theough another airline. I had to get to my destination that day, so I wound up paying $600 to buy a ticket on another airline. It was the worst traveling experience I’ve ever had."
Pros: "As part of a sales pitch of their credit card, crew announced that we were flying in a new plane. The same plane which had computer issues rendering us over to hours late. Crew blissfully shared sandwiches while allowing us to deplane but asking us not to do so. It took over an hour of waiting to ask anyone if they wanted a half filled cup of water. I understand this is a budget airline, but could they spare one of their ridiculously overpriced $3 cans of soda for the major inconvenience? Or not have the crew eating food in front of paying customers? The new plane has rigid seats with miniscule padding, which after sitting in for over five hours is incredibly uncomfortable. The fold down snack trays are the size of a standard paperback novel. Summarized, you get what you pay for (if you don't want a carry on, checked bag, soda, or tiny snack.)"
Cons: "Please see above."
Pros: "Airline cannot find my bag, and I have filed baggage lost, I cannot get anyone to respond to me. I have called, and called and called....nothing. How do I get my items returned to me?"
Cons: "I would like to get my belongings returned to me. Can you help me? Mitzi Hinds 8137652619"
Pros: "the flight was fine both ways"
Cons: "on the way to tampa i put my bag under the seat, on my return to milw the airiine ticket lady was rude to me, talked nasty and charged me 45.00 to take my bag on under the seat. after i could on the first flight, it was the same bag and same stuff inside, all she could say is no to every thing i said, im not happy"
Cons: "The toilet was broken. Hour delay"
Pros: "They were kind, polite, and very accommodating for me. I have an injury that borders on a disability, and the crew went above and beyond to make sure that I got to my destination on time."
Cons: "The flight was delayed due to weather, which is fine, the delay was 45 minutes, not a big deal....Here's the but...when it came to boarding time, they announced that it was not going to be boarding by zones and that everyone should just get on the plane. On top of what appeared to be a mass exodus, or perhaps something you'd see in a third world country, those people who paid more $$ to have carry on bags, in zone 1 and be able to board first were most certainly not feeling the value. The gate experience was not well organized or orchestrated. After getting off the plane, our daughter realized once in baggage claim that she left her backpack on the plane. Not being experienced in this area, we asked for help. A police officer told my wife to go to Frontier office, where there was no one in the office, someone else said have them paged. There was no white courtesy phone in the area that was operating, so she went to Southwest and asked if they could page someone to come to the Frontier office and they said no, walked to next terminal to find a working courtesy phone, paged someone to Frontier and within 5 minutes ,10 people showed up. Asked if someone could help. They radioed to the gate that a passenger left their bag. What the rep should have said was that they called the gate, hopefully someone locates and if they do, they will bring it here and we will check on it in a few minutes. The person didn't say a word, 5 minutes later my wife asked what happens now. After a nice sigh and eye roll, the Frontier rep says if they found, they bring it. My wife asked would it be possible to see if they found it instead of just waiting around here for bodies to appear. The bag was eventually found and returned but the experience was just now a good one to say the least."
Pros: "Great fight attendants"
Cons: "The seats do not recline & they are very small so it was hard to be comfortable. My daughter found it hard to rest. The extra bag fees were a surprise and the fact that we landed an hour late because there was bad weather but we weren't told that we would be late until we were about to land and by then our ride had been waiting an hour and there was no way to notify them. I will not fly Frontier again unless I absolutely have to."
Cons: "With priceline I receive email notifications of coming flights...my phone email goes back only so far so I was unable to dig it out of history ave that was mildly inconvenient not exactly knowing or remembering departure time, flight number, etc"
Pros: "On time flight."
Cons: "Very clean."
Pros: "I got there."
Cons: "Claustrophobic, charged for everything, no blankets. In the future, I'll pay more to fly with a different carrier. Also, the hard sell at the end of the flight for the credit card was obnoxious beyond compare."
Pros: "the beginning price - maybe?"
Cons: "I got to the airport in Dallas 2 hours before my 6:55 flight, and at that very moment, received a text that the flight was delayed 3 hours. At that time, there was NO ONE at the Frontier check in to explain what was going on. I understand there was excessive wind in Denver, but there should have at least been a Frontier representative at the gate in Dallas. On my way home, again the flight was delayed by an hour because of something on a previous leg. Because of this, I am going to go with any other airline first. I think Frontier should either co-op with other airlines to get people to their destinations on time or have more planes.......or AT LEAST have someone at the gate to offer next day service or a voucher or a free snack or something. I also do not like the whole A LA CARTE theme with this airline and Spirit Air. I do not like that I was going to be charged for a coffee or a coke. The whole thing is too confusing, and I am going to pay more for an American, United or Southwest flight next time."
Pros: "I paid extra for preferred seating, arrived at airport 90 min before my departing domestic flight and they told me only 1 seat left on plane and they over booked. They wouldnt refund the $60 i spent and got stuck in middle for 5 hour flight"
Cons: "The seats were the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced. Couldn't sleep on the Redeye flight because seats were so stiff and didn't recline. I will choose other airlines if at all possible. Plus there's a charge for a glass of club soda for heaven sakes. Otherwise everything else was fine."
Pros: "Flight was on time, crew was friendly, plane was clean."
Cons: "Didn't find out about carry-on charges till flight was booked. Do your homework about luggage first! It just makes the flight seem cheaper than it really is. Not the most comfortable seats, but what do you expect for the price. 2 & 1/2 hours to Fla is about all you can deal with in those seats, for longer flights pick a more comfy plane."
Pros: "Love the airline staff. Always looking out for your comfort."
Cons: "Seats a bit cramped."
Cons: "The cancelled my flight and didn't tell us. They loaded us on the plane after being delayed for 2 hours. Took us off saying it would be another hour and we could start reboarding in 30 minutes. Then cancelled the flight with no more flights to get anyone out till monday."
Pros: "The ease of boarding."
Cons: "The flight attendants were rude, could have cared less about anyone being there. I felt super unsafe on the flight. the seats rattled, although I know all planes can fly through turbulence, I thought the plane was going to break. I asked a flight attendant for water and she would not give me water. She said "she didn't want to waste the water so early in the flight". I will be flying other airlines even if they are more expensive, being charged for everything is insane. I paid for a carry on bag and no one even checked to see if I had one or not, if felt like a waste of money. If you are going to charge for things, make it a priority to see that we as a paying costumer actually paired and bring it with us."
Pros: "Everything was on time .. Even during the holiday season when its busiest."
Cons: "Don't like at ALL how they don't ask if you would like a seat preference.. Not just Frontier but ALL airlines !"
Cons: "$2.99 for a cup of coffee - c'mon man! The Indian passengers behind us not only had a screaming kid most of the flight but possibly the worst BO that I've ever smelled! The flight was full (of course) so there was not an option for another seat. I will pay more next time for another airline!"
Pros: "If it weren't for the convenience of a non-stop flight, I would not fly Frontier. I call the airline "Fleeced Here." They nickel and dime their customers for everything. Seat charge when checking in, carry on bag charge, charge for soft drinks and asking the customer for a 15, 20 or 25% tip for a service that once was part of the flight attendant's job responsibilities. The trip added approximate$ly $150 more to my flight. I will keep that in mind the next time I choose a carrier. My $176 ticket bloomed to $325 before I got home. :("
Cons: "The pilots did a good job of avoiding turbulance and the landing was quite smooth"
Cons: "The flight was ok,but the stewardess let small children run all over the plane and climb all over the seats."
Pros: "I like that the seats are thinner without a lot of padding. It gives more leg room. I like that my knees aren't hitting that seat in front of me. That crew was very nice."
Cons: "I don't like having to pay extra for my luggage. One bag should always be free and extra bags should be paid for. Paying for water is bad too. Water is cheap. People would buy a snack if they get free water. The fold down tray is also too small."
Pros: "There were quiet babies on the flight."
Cons: "It took longer than usual to board and the staff kept going back and forth about going through the safety proceedures."
Pros: "Nice staff and crew."
Cons: "On Frontier chairs don't go back. You have to pay for carry on (not including a purse or backpack) and check bags. If you want to guarantee you sit with your partner/friend you have to pay additiona fees at early check in. That's just straight up wrong."
Cons: "THE FLIGHT KEPT BEING DELAYED ALL DAY AND THEN IT WAS CANCELLED. PASSENGERS HAD TO SECURE OTHER FLIGHTS TO THEIR DESTINATIONS. SOME EVEN MISSED IMPORTANT EVENTS LIKE FUNERALS, CRUISES APPOINTMENTS, ETC. I WAS A DAY LATE FOR MY EVENT. I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TOLD IMMEDIATELY SO WE COULD HAVE MADE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS EARLIER. I WAS NOT A HAPPY CAMPER AND WILL NOT CONSIDER FLYING FRONTIER IN THE FUTURE!!!!!!!! THAT WAS MY FIRST AND LAST TIME TO PURCHASE TRANSPORTATION FROM FRONTIER AIRLINES."
Pros: "I was transported safely from point A to B. That's about it."
Cons: "Check-in was atrocious as we watched the clerks migrate from one crisis to the next, and no TSA pre-check. WAITING at every stage of the flight. You would think a one-way would be simple, but no. An hour at the departure terminal, delayed in-air, then sitting on the taxiway for an hour and a half at the destination, followed by more waiting at the gate. The pilot's excuses didn't help any, clearly trying to avoid an onboard riot for a flight in which we waited longer on the ground than we flew in the air. We checked the board afterward to see if any other airlines' flights were delayed--nope, only Frontier, every one. It's clear what happens. They pay the least possible expense for airport services, and are then the lowest priority at every stage of operations, resulting in delays at every phase of flight. The most frustrating flight I've ever had that didn't include actual incompetence or bad weather."
Pros: "It so easy and fast to find anything great job love using kayak !"
Cons: "Nothing !"
Cons: "I miss this flight.. Which was my returning flight home. Due to a flight coming to Cincinnati being cancelled thanks to mechanical issues and pilots working the maximun hours they are allowed. When asked about what frontier could offer the associate lied and stated they only had flights for Saturday ."
Cons: "I didn't know I had to pay for a carry-on bag upon arrival. That's an additional $45 I didn't know about. There was a 4 hour delay and no clear explanation as to why. There was never an agent at the desk when people tried to ask. Our gate changed 3 times. Overall an awful experience and I will never be flying Frontier again."
Cons: "Charge $45+tax for ONE checked bag AND $40+tax for a CARRY ON!?! I'll be sharing this fact with Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, FourSquare and Yelp. I'm never flying Frontier again and I'll be telling everyone I know to avoid them as well."
Pros: "On Friday, July 8, at DIA airport I waited almost an hour before someone took me to my gate A42 for Flight 122 supposedly departing at 8:10 and boarding at 7:35. Finally, I had to bring this to the attention of the ticket agent as I did not want to miss my flight. Noone came and the poor overworked worker took me at 7:45 -we did not arrive at the gate until 8 o'clock (luckily the TSA checkpoints were NOT busy) and had the flight been on time, I would probably have missed it. This gentleman asked repeatedly for assistance for over 40 minutes and no one came to his aid. I panicked and I want Corporate to know they need to hire adequate help so their customers are not treated like dirt. Once I boarded, the crew was fabulous! However, I am not happy about such a horrible experience. I deserve a refund or free return ticket for my inconvenience. I have flown other airlines and have never had such a negative experience with wheelchair assistance!!!"
Cons: "You all charge piece meal for everything; yet you don't hire enough people - I bet Corporate executives are getting their fair share!"
Cons: "No one explained to us why our 915 flight was delayed until 2 in the morning. And I'm sure the crew was just as exhausted as we were, which is completely understandable. However, aside from one stewardess, they showed how miserable they all were which in turn made the passengers more irritable. The flight home was much more tolerable."
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "Both flights had garbage on or under seats including chocolate which would have stained my clothes. Both times I had top clean this up myself."
Cons: "First, flight was delayed over 1 hour for non weather reasons. Next, my seat had NO arm rest cushion. It was missing. I asked the flight crew for a pillow or blanket, i was told they don't have any. They did not care about my seat not having an arm rest cushion. Next, no in flight entertainment. Once we landed, had to wait 15 minutes for an open terminal to pull up to. Then i still don't understand this, we all get up to get our overhead suitcases, and then the flight crew gets on the speaker and tells everyone to sit down because they need to get their suitcases first. Guess customers are not important to Frontier. Then lastly, not frontiers fault, but we then had to wait 1.25 hours to get our checked suitcases."
Pros: "The best part about the flight was when we landed in Dallas."
Cons: "The most uncomfortable flight I have ever been on. The seats were very hard and could not adjust. There was no information about the flight provided at any time during the flight except for when we were preparing to land. Compared to American Airlines (which we flew with on our way to Denver), Frontier has no comparison. There was absolutely no entertainment provided, and there were additional costs and fees at every turn. Not only do they charge for any and all refreshments, they also charge you to have a carry-on bag. The flight was also very very loud. The cabin rattled and roared for the entire hour and a half flight. We will not be flying Frontier again unless some major upgrades are made."
Pros: "The seats were pretty comfortable and the flight attendants were excellent."
Cons: "Having to pay $2 for a non-alcoholic drink is just silly. I had to pay for my party to sit together but other people that I know were on the same flight and did not have to pay extra to sit together. Our flight out of Philly was three hours late departing and we were told a "reason" only an hour before we left. Not in any rush to fly Frontier again."
Pros: "Both the ground crew and flight crew were very nice and helpful. Though the flight was delayed due to weather, we were kept well-informed."
Cons: "That the airline charges for any and everything."
Cons: "Flight was scheduled to depart at 9:20 PM on the 24th. On way to airport, I was advised of a 5 hour delay. At that point I returned home (1 hour 15 minutes from TPA airport) by which time the delay advice was increased to 7 hours. I called Frontier and they agreed to rebook me (at no charge) on a flight on Feb. 26th since all flights on the 25th were booked. I just checked and saw that Flt 291 actually departed TPA at 5:02 AM on the 25th. As always, it was stressful trying to talk to an agent having to listen through numerous recordings before I couold connect to ascertain times and make changes. I contacted Frontier at least 5 times and had language difficulties every time."
Pros: "First time flying with Frontier. No complaints other than having to pay for my carry on luggage. But when I only spent $80 (taxes and fees included) to fly from Dallas to Denver, I'm still happy."
Cons: "problem printing boarding pass on Frontier web site, had problem with this web site before- very unfriendly and doesn't work"
Cons: "I had a 2.5 hour flight that landed around midnight-- unfortunately I was unable to sleep at all during the flight. Even though there are no complimentary drinks or snacks, the flight crew turned the lights on for over an hour so they could ask each patron if they wanted to purchase anything. The seats are tiny and I could barely fit my 5'3" frame legs comfortably in front of me. Do yourself a favor and pay more for a real airline."
Cons: "Crew was helpful. Arrived early. Can't rate food or entertainment as there is none. On Fronteir it's easiest to accept the cost of checking a bag because the carry on fee is punitive."
Easy-going and relaxing crew. Seats were not super comfortable. But adequate.
Flight was delayed due to weather, which was not the fault of the airline at all. However, when it take an hour to deplane because they don’t have a ground crew to open the door, and it takes another 30-45 minutes for bags to even START coming, that IS the airlines fault.
Pros: "Smooth flight"
Cons: "There was a persistent wining sound next to the exit seats the entire trip that gave me a headache. The other passengers complained and were compensated on the price of their ticket upgrade but it was loud in the seats behind as well and we got nothing."
Cons: "If you really want to know about our experience with Spirit, then call 580-678-4080 and talk with Patrick."
Pros: "The crew was amazing."
Cons: "Nothing. It’s what I expected from Spirit. Got me from A to B as simply as possible."
Pros: "Seat was so comfortable"
Cons: "If we don’t have to pay for baggage we could eat while flight was delayed"
Pros: "Not even free water"
Cons: "Seats dont recline"
Pros: "The overall experience was very nice. The flight attendants were very humorous and made the flight even better. Both my flights arrived early which is always nice. I would definitely fly Spirit again."
Pros: "This was my first time flying Spirit and I had no issues. As long as you are taking a pretty short trip, this airline is great. Also, you should have everything with you, bag, drinks, snacks, etc. because you will pay extra for all of that. I carried a bag pack which fit under the seat and brought my own snacks and entertainment, so no issues. Flight was smooth and flight arrived ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Seats were pretty close together, but I’m a small person so it was fine. If you are tall, this might be an issue. My husband is 6’4” and would have been uncomfortable in a standard row."
Pros: "I got the lucky seat so 5k points for me! Yay!"
Pros: "On the plane, the seats were extremely comfortable, with a lot of leg room, even on the standard seats. Much more than on any flight I had flown with Southwest domestic. The staff was also a lot friendlier and generous. And there was plenty of room on the flight which made comfort affordable."
Cons: "They announced that the flight was departing from a different gate, but it wasn't listed on their website and there was no way to verify it on any screens. The gate that they said the flight would be departing out of instead still had the destination on it for the previous flight. Then, after that flight departed, it showed the destination for the next flight scheduled to leave out of that gate, not the one I was on. So frankly, a lot of people were very confused on where they were supposed to be waiting. Especially since, there was boarding for a different flight at the first gate, and no screen showing the flight that was being boarded there. So it caused a lot of nervousness for a lot of us, not being sure where we were supposed to be and afraid we would miss our boarding call."
Pros: "Friendly staff and updates. Price of tickets very fair."
Cons: "When you bring a very small carry on, a staff will try to charge for it."
Cons: "Everything! A waist of money."
Pros: "Got cancelled"
Cons: "Fly got cancelled"
Pros: "It my favorite ai line, but the staff was great and the trip uneventful."
Pros: "Getting upgraded for feee to an exit row seat where I had more leg room!"
Cons: "Didn't print my own b pass... Should've gone to a kiosk. Got to ticketing 55 min before flight, then I got bounced around from line to line (ending up where I started) and then told sorry! It's closed. I had to rebook, fly to Detroit, wait around 4 hours, and finally got home 8 hours later than scheduled and I had to pay for the new flight! The agent actually mentioned that Spirit overbooked!!! No wonder they didn't give me a b pass right away. Obvious it was a con job."
Cons: "I was extremely disappointed when I arrived at the LA airport and was notified that my flight was delayed and therefore I would not make the connecting flight. I asked for Spirit Airline to help come up with a solution. The agents at LAX kept me at the counter for over an hour making me miss my original flight to Dallas. All the Spirit agents kept saying is that corporate doesn't allow them to help. Only option was a refund or flight out of LAX 12hrs after my original flight and take a red eye. I was at the airport with (2) children under the age of 10. The people for Spirit had poor attitudes and lacked any effort to help come up a solution. I ended up having to book a same day flight from Delta Airlines. Delta flew out at 1pm. The (2) kids and myself were at the airport at 9am to catch the 10am flight from Spirit. Long day for us."
Pros: "I slept while onboard through both legs. I didn't want to be awake for the flight after the booking expirences."
Cons: "On the outbound leg from Dallas I volunteered to move seats for weight and balance reasons at Spirit's request. My return leg was canceled by the gate agent or the system had me as a no show. I tried to check in for the return leg and was unable. I called to get this resolved and got a CSA that didn't understand airline travel or English not sure which. (One example was I spelled my confirmation code 5 times both phonetically and in plain language) I tried to explain that my return leg was cancel for some reason when I volunteered for the seat adjust on the outbound leg. She continued to ask me to book and make a new reservation. I asked for a supervisor and received no help. Decided the best course of action was to hang up and try to get someone else. After navigating the voice prompts again I finally got someone who asked me for proof I was on the outbound. I informed him no one saves the boarding passes he needs to check the manifest the TSA requires of all airlines. He backed off after he understood that I knew the system and reactivated my return leg. It is still a mystery to me why my return leg was canceled after the airline requested me to move seats. It seems Spirit have saved money on front line employee training and saved a good bit on off shore CSA call center. Last time I'll fly Spirit and I'm posting it everywhere I can. I'll see you on the internet. Spirit Airlines-HC6N2Q"
Pros: "Arrived on time. Easy to get ticket from kiosk . Bag fit under the seat and in the overhead compartment. Cheap ticket."
Cons: "Crew looked and sounded as though they hate their job. Middle seat was much smaller then the isle or window."
Pros: "How they charged you for everything they could dream of."
Pros: "My flight was early. Everyone cooperated, no bumps in boarding. I'll be flying again."
Cons: "I honestly have no complaints. It was a great flight."
Pros: "Easy access, boarding, seating. Nice, new plane with updated amenities."
Cons: "The bag space under the seat in front of me seemed larger before, but it's probably just a misconception."
Cons: "Every thing"
Pros: "On time, friendly crew"
Cons: "overly narrow seats, no free coffee"
Pros: "I personally checked everything through Spirit's website and they let you know online that they are a "no frills" airline. If you can fit it in one bag then the cost is perfect."
Cons: "The amount of people who had no clue what they were in for was unnerving. It was a tight fit."
Pros: "The staff was excellent"
Cons: "The flight was smoth and the the captain and flight attendees where outstanding."
Pros: "One-way flight to destination"
Cons: "RUDE RUDE RUDE workers "helping" customers as the nightmare of checking in and receiving boarding pass. Then was told I didn't have a seat for the flight until someone didn't show up, EVEN THOUGH I had purchased a seat the night before. Almost didn't get on the flight because of that. Then if your bag is over 40lbs you pay an additional $30 to check it in. I ALWAYS fly Southwest and tried this airlines for the first and LAST TIME. All workers are rude and obviously don't want to be there either. Spirit airlines I AM DONE WITH YOU."
Pros: "The airline is very efficient and the staff is friendly."
Cons: "Very uncomfortable, nothing included. Tiny tray table. Southwest is much better."
Pros: "horrible. horrible. horrible"
Cons: "horrible. horrible. horrible"
Pros: "Flight was on time."
Cons: "Tray tables are too small. They were stupid actually."
Cons: "Our flight was cancelled and we were stranded in the Dallas-Fort Worth airport to find out own way home to Tampa. Spirit refunded us our return flight but was of no help in our rebooking. This was the first and last time I will ever take this airline. They took absolutely no responsibility for their actions and had not concern at all for our well being. Terrible, just terrible. Shame on Spirit Airlines."
Cons: "We prepaid luggage on-line and the check in at counter still took 30 minutes because employee at counter couldn't see proof on her end that we had pre paid. We traveled with our three kids under 8 and they would do nothing to seat us next to each other. We couldn't check in on-line so we were considered late check in, despite checking in at the airport 2 hours before the flight. We boarded and sat on the plane for an hour then deplaned due to faulty weather radar. 3 hour delay. Still no help to seat our family together. Very swaying and bumpy take off and landing. Seats don't recline. No drinks or snacks passed out, only for a charge. Cheapest airline ever. Will never fly again on Spirit. Flight home also delayed over an hour. Oh, and luggage max is 40, not 50 lbs., and they charge per bag per direction. They also charge you to book seats next to each other, despite us booking our flights months in advance and checking in 2 hours prior."
Cons: "Spirit cancelled my flight and would not offer to re-book me on a subsequent flight. They refunded my fare, but would not offer any other hep/services. I will NEVER fly this airline again."
Cons: "Had 2 flights from Las Vegas to Tampa. One was late & gate was changed. No one announce gate change & monitors did not show gate change until almost too late. Extra charge for EVERYTHING, including a cup of water AND for cary-on bags. Had 2 flights from Tampa to Las Vegas. One was almost 2 hours late. MULTIPLE people felt the same way we did..... We will NEVER fly with Spirit Airlines again."
Cons: "Flight was canceled just a few hours before the flight was scheduled to take off. We had to buy the last two business class tickets with American Airlines in order to make it to Dallas in time for a national sports tournament. Absolutely horrible."
Pros: "Horrible. Filthy seats and plane. Was told "get off plane and fly with another airline if you don't like it" several times by attendant just for asking for something to clean seat and floor with myself. Then I was thrown off for objecting to such disrespect ful treatment. I will pay triple, double, quadruple to fly with another airline from now on. This airline and its employees are beyond rude and disrespectful. Do not go anywhere near this company. I was warned not to fly with them and I thought it could not be so bad. It was 100 times worse!!!"
Pros: "I got there and back, albeit not on time"
Cons: "This airline is a joke. They advertise low prices to entice you to buy flights from them, then they've got you. The fees and charges to actually complete your trip are OUTRAGEOUS. My family and I began making jokes about all the fees, just to keep our sanity. I had initially booked us on American but switched it to Spirit because I thought I was saving $400. In the end, I spent 20% more flying Spirit We almost missed our return flight. After overly scolding us for cutting it so close, the lady at the ticket counter did everything possible to cause us to miss it. We sprinted to the gate where we were again chastised for not being earlier. Of course once we boarded, we sat there at the gate for over an hour due to maintenance issues. We concluded that they call the airline Spirit because they break your spirit if you fly this airline."
Cons: "The flight was delayed by weather. However, the Spirit e-mails were inaccurate and I almost missed boarding because I believed the e-mails and the airport board. When I, by chance checked the board, I found out that the incoming plane in question had landed and, therefore, went to the gate and learned that Spirit had "secretly" moved things up and would soon close the door. Had I believed the e-mail from Spirit, I would have been left -- and they would have blamed it on me -- because I relied on Spirit's e-mails."
Pros: "Loved the price. Flew from DFW to Tampa round trip for $121."
Cons: "The space on the plane is tough on me with no reclining chairs but then again I am 6'4" and 240 lbs."
Cons: "Spirit website is horrible and so is the customer service"
Cons: "They tried to charge me after canceling two of my flights. Missed two days of my vacation in California and had to drive 5 hours from Tampa to ft. Launder dale to get a flight which included me having to rent a car extra. Never would recommend spirit to anyone."
Cons: "My Flight was suppose to depart at 1:25 p.m and was delayed until 2:15. When I got to the terminal the flight had been moved to 4 different terminals and then was taken down all together until one of the other spirit airlines flights left. This ultimately ended up putting is at a 2 hour delay on flight and almost caused me to miss my connecting flight. If it weren't for a good amount of other people needing the connection flight that I needed I would have missed my flight."
Pros: "The crew was so unprofessional and it's like we were bothering them when we asked for something."
Cons: "The crew The seats. The person behind me kicked the whole time and the person next to me spread har legs and took the arm rest so it was the worst flight I ever experienced. They need to recline a little more leg room since I paid $36 for 2 seats and wifi."
Cons: "I wish there was in flight wifi and cvs."
Cons: "Delayed cuz the A/C smelt. Didn't offer us anything."
Pros: "This flight form Tampa to Dallas was smooth. There were no problems, boarding was quick, the plane was clean, the ride was smooth, the pilot was nice, thank you Spirit for finally getting this right."
Cons: "It would be great if all experiences like I had yesterday with Spirit were the same. Please have some extra training for your flight attendants and other employees and offer ways for them to interact positively like the ones who work at the Tampa airport."
Pros: "staff was friendly"
Cons: "the tickets were very cheap...but they get you at the airport..it cost $50 for each piece of luggage..even a small carry on, so that added to the cost of the 'cheap' ticket. Nothing, not even a bottle of water was free on the plane ride...we brought our own water and snacks bur to not offer free tea or coffee and a bag of pretzels was pretty chintzy. The seats do not recline at all..so the ride was uncomfortable. No tv or movie screen. My flight was only a few hours, but a longer flight would have been miserable"
Pros: "Cheap flight. I sat in the big seats which were spacious."
Cons: "It was cold on the plane. The flight was also late leaving."
