  • Suppose you are planning to visit multiple municipalities in Belize, consider flying to Ladyville, which hosts the country’s only international airport, Phillip S.W. Goldson International Airport (BZE). You can then use this as a base to connect to other destinations of your choice.
  • Those transiting to the western region of Belize, such as Cayo District, should consider booking flights that land at the neighboring airports in Belmopan. This option provides easier access to Cayo than Corozal Town. The flight frequency is higher, and you are thus in a better position to get your flight back easily.
  • December to April are the peak tourist months in Belize. This is the duration when the country witnesses a dry spell, hence the ideal time for amazing weather. Therefore, remember that fares are likely to rise dramatically during this period.
  • Several flights to Belize from the U.S. require a layover in Britain. Due to its colonial past, most of the cheapest flights are via England. As such, you should consider this option in case you are traveling on a budget and want to save money.

Remember that Tropic Air runs a hub at both Philip Goldson International Airport, and Belize City Municipal Airport (TZA).
  • The country of Belize is divided into six districts with the district of Belize lying on the northeastern coast of the country by the Caribbean Sea. Philip S. W. Goldson Airport (BZE), or Belize City Airport, is the international gateway to the island and the destination for all flights from the US to Belize.
  • There are several small airports located in each of the districts in Belize so getting around by air is very convenient if you so choose. There are two districts north of Belize City: Corozal Airport (CZH) is the airport in Corozal district and Orange Walk Airport (ORZ) covers the region of Orange Walk.
  • Cayo and Stann Creek are the districts in the center of the island. Cayo lies to the west where it shares a boundary with Guatemala. Matthew Spain Airport (SQS) is in San Ignacio town while Stann Creek in the east is served by two airports: Placencia Airport (PLJ) and Silver Creek Airport (SVK).
  • The east coast of Belize has one of the largest barrier reefs in the Americas and is one of the most popular tourist attractions on the island. Belize City Airport is centrally positioned along this stretch of coast and is therefore a perfect place to discover the multitude of cays and atolls that lies off the coastal waters.
  • The district of Toledo marks the southern boundary of Belize where it meets the Gulf of Honduras and contains the towns of Barranco and Punta Gorda. After your flight from the US to Belize, you can hop on a local flight from Belize City Airport to Punta Gorda Airport (PND) and discover the beaches of Amatique Bay.

The flight was delayed by 3 hours so they sent a meal voucher but I had no idea how to use it. It wasn’t very clear that I was supposed to use it at the airport. And I think they should have given us a list of participating restaurants at SFO.

Cons: "Seat recline further would be better but I know that’s not doable in economy class"
Pros: "Crew was amazing. Upgraded to first class and a superb flight as well."
Cons: "Nothing to complain about."
Pros: "Ok crew, not the best planes and service but good enough to get from A to B. Was I happy with the flight? No, will I use them again? If the price is right for sure."
Cons: "Friendlier crew and better service"
Pros: "Crew were very attentive and hospitable to the crew. I have been flying ASIANA many times and enjoy the flight as well."
Pros: "Boarding was strange - it was still in groups although we were shuttled to our airplane. I was glad it wasn’t a packed flight as I wasn’t smushed by my neighbors in the seats. Very little turbulence, smooth taking off and landing. I like that I was able to watch free movies without having to pay for WiFi."
Cons: "The shuttle broke down on the way to the airplane and had to wait for another. The good part was that we didn’t wait very long (less than 10 minutes) for another to arrive. No free WiFi."
Pros: "Boarding"
Cons: "Three hours waiting for various issues to be fixed, only offered water once"
Pros: "Such great people and everything was clean"
Cons: "Sat at the back and they ran out of food."
Pros: "Pleasant and no nonsense service. Someone wants to move over to an empty seat......go ahead. Oh you’d like a beer.....here ya go. And so on and so on. Will fly again and again. Gladly pay a little extra to not have to deal with the nickel and diming of the other airlines. Looking forward to my return flight Thanks again Alaska!!"
Cons: "Not a damn thing.....absolutely perfect!"
Pros: "The crew was pleasant and helpful"
Cons: "First the flight was delayed for 1.5 hours as it left the previous city late, no reason was given, however when the plane finally arrived we boarded a hot plane that was experiencing electrical problems. The plane was rebooted multiple times, making it even warmer as the air was shut off with the plane. We waited on board at the gate for over an hour to be told we would deplane and reboard a new plane. All in I experienced a 3.5 hour delay on a late night flight. The second plane was much more comfortable, but didn’t make up for the long delays"
Cons: "No movies translated to spanish. Too crowded. Did not follow distancing while que exiting."
Pros: "Crew was nice. Seats very uncomfortable. Seems like they get smaller and smaller each time."
Cons: "It was a 3+ hour flight. They should've given us something more than chips or cookies"
Pros: "The helpfulness of staff in my time of need I had been on a surgery and your staff was very very accommodating"
Cons: "Nothing don’t change a thing, if it isn’t broken there is no need to fix it LOVE YOU SOUTHWEST"
Cons: "Three gate changes and then delays of ramp connecting to plane. It was ok"
Cons: "huge delay....7+ hr delay for a 2 hr flight..there were other jetblue flights scheduled on the same route that went ahead of us"
Pros: "Good crew"
Cons: "Flight was late, entertainment didn't work the whole time"
Pros: "Jet Blue planes are always great. Super clean and comfortable."
Cons: "They should have scheduled pistols for our flight. We had to delay the flight for two hours until they arrived."
Pros: "Great crew. Comfortable seats. Lots of leg room."
Cons: "I don’t think the internet worked. I tried everything on my phone and computer."
Pros: "Flight on time, smooth birding/disembarkment"
Cons: "I boarded the flight with a carry-on and one personal item. As usual I personally place the carry-on in an overhead bin. After the flight landed and I went to retrieve my carry-on, it was gone! The flight was full, so I checked with the flight attendants if my bag somehow got gate-checked or it was moved. They didn't know and they said maybe it went into the checked bags. So I wait at the baggage claim and out comes my carry on bag without any tags. Strange! My carry on didn't have anything valuable, but a bit of communication or some form of record would have made this odd incident a little less nerve-wracking. 1. Please communicate with the passenger if their bags get transferred to the checked bags 2. Please communicate with the crew which bags get moved from the cabin to the checked luggage 3. Please label the bags if they get moved around--there was no gate-checked tags or any stickers to communicate with the checked luggage folks."
Pros: "I slept a lot, there is more space than most planes"
Cons: "We were delayed by 3 hours, the flight had so much turbulence throughout, no water was passed out during our delay, in fact, it took way too long for beverages. When I boarded and settled in, a flight attendant was crushing Ice for about 30 minutes and the flight crew in the back was really loud during the flight when most of us were trying to sleep."

We checked one bag. That was fast and the agent was fast and super nice. At the gate, boarding was fast and efficient. Flight was uneventful which was great because it was early in the morning and most folks were sleeping. Landing was great. Delta does a really good job of making the flying experience better all around considering you are sitting in such a small space on a plane for several hours. Flight from ALT to Panama City was short and uneventful as well. No entertainment but no need since it was such a short flight.

I wouldn't say I liked being forced to check my small roller bag at the gate; too many people had bags and were in a higher boarding group.

Cons: "Luggage drop was severely understaffed. We had checked in, had boarding passes but there was a 45 minute wait just to drop off a checked bag."
Pros: "Internet access. Waiting area at JFK with charging stations for every seat and a tablet to order food & drink."
Pros: "Love the fact that the head rests move to support your head better."
Pros: "Hands down one of the best flights ever. Great seats, great leg room, amazing crew; I even met some good people on the flight. All around pleasing experience."
Cons: "My only complaint is the food. Some of the other airlines feed us real food, I want to pay for something a bit better. Still a great airline!"
Pros: "Smooth flights and in time. Everyone is so nice. True professionals"
Cons: "Healthier snacks instead of just candy and cookies... an apple for example would be great."
Pros: "Getting to my destination."
Cons: "Leg room, more room for carry on bags, coats, etc."
Pros: "Crew were very good but the seats were not comfortable for an eight hour flight"
Cons: "A little bit of leg space"

Wheelchair was waiting for me,changed to a better seat which was great as it's hard for me to walk

This flight was a horror. Every seat was filled, many of them by passengers coughing and sniffling (including one immediately to my left and another across the aisle to my right). The CO2 level in the cabin peaked at an outrageous 2,847 ppm during boarding and never fell below 1,500 ppm for the entire flight. I wore a mask over another mask and can only hope that that, plus the plane's filtration system, was enough to keep me from getting sick along with every other passenger on that plane. The recording says safety is American's highest priority, but refusing to mandate masks on board when COVID-19 is still a threat shows that the airline's actual attitude toward passenger and crew safety is one of depraved indifference.

After pulling away from the gate we sat on the tarmac for 90 minutes with hardly any explanation from the captain. Rows seem more cramped than before.

Pros: "Cause me to miss my connecting flight from Dallas to Mobile"
Cons: "Had the aircraft fueled before boarding the flight"
Pros: "I got an unexpected box lunch. Food was good. Thanks."
Cons: "Seats were cramped. A little more elbow room would be welcome."
Cons: "Everything was good except the delay of the fight itself and then the baggage we received almost an hour later with priority tags."
Pros: "The crew was very polite and helpful as the flight attendant was still new."
Cons: "It was FREEZING on the plane."
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "delayed almost 5 hours due to “air traffic,” flight had plenty of room and they did not offer any upgrades"
Pros: "Boarding was quick and well organized. Crew was friendly."
Cons: "By the time the snack service was completed, the plane was already descending and the crew had to pick up the service items before people had a chance to finish."
Cons: "Everything, especially an AA customer representative. Very rude, inconsiderate, and unprofessional."
Pros: "The checking kiosk with luggage check-in, weight station and automated ticket printing for boarding pass and luggage tag. Security checkpoint was smooth and moving fast. All above have vastly reduced stagnant check-in line at the check-in counters."
Cons: "Need more properly trained ground crew at baggage drop point (which is also the previously check-in counter) to ease the line and expedite the check-in. Also need more notification billboard along the long line to better inform the passagers what to expect at the security checkpoint."
Pros: "The crew was great and very helpful. They properly stowed a box of crab legs someone had on the flight that wouldn’t fit in the overhead."
Cons: "You gotta stop treating economy travelers like 2nd class citizens. The split level check-in at Newark is ridiculous with premium up top and easy to get to where there’s literally 2-3 customers. Versus economy where you need to take an elevator & then wait. no check on policy for economy is silly too"
Pros: "the flight attendants were a breath of fresh air. truly great client service, genuinely friendly. every person working at the airport that i encountered on my way to my flight was rude, disassociated, and honestly seemed to enjoy being petty while at their job. the moment i arrived onto the plane, the male flight attendant that greeted me was so kind, made sure i was okay, and was a source of much needed sincerety during the entire experience, as were the rest of the crew. thank you thank you."
Pros: "Flight on time, good polite service. Ground crew helped me check in again after the flight from Europe and find my way around O'Hare."
Pros: "Roomy cabin, comfortable seats. No boxes or annoyances at feet. Free complimentary beverages."
Cons: "Need to upgrade blankets th something that could actually provide warmth."
Pros: "The flight was listed as a 50 minute flight. The boarding was great, and very fast and efficient, but there was news that Air Force One was scheduled to land at our destination, so the flight left a bit early. Upon reaching altitude, the plane made record time. 50 minutes was cut down to under 30 from take-off to landing. The attendant was barely on the last row (a charter plane) from serving drinks, before the cart had to be put away for landing."
Cons: "The seats were tiny and my neighbor and I were both a bit taller and stockier than perhaps an average passenger (220lbs)."
Pros: "I enjoyed preferred boarding it made everything easy. Seats were fine as far as leg room."
Cons: "Attendant kept bumping into me, I had an aisle seat with her refreshment cart. But other then that everything was fine."
Cons: "My entertainment console was the only one that was busted."
Pros: "The movie choices were the only saving grace."
Cons: "They split up my family and were not accommodating in helping to find seats near each other. Flight attendants were rude. Requested a veggie meal and got chicken. Seats didn't recline."
Pros: "I liked when the attendant got an attitude with me when asked her if she had a trash bag but ignored what I asked to tell me to put up my table when I was already in the process of closing it."
Cons: "Overall just everything with my flight. The rudeness, discomfort. Just ridiculous! Can’t forget about the fact I couldn’t even buy WiFi so it was a really bring 5 hour flight."
