Seated at front bulkhead for a smidge extra leg room away from home and on flight back home. Away crew was very proactive about assuring our carryons had space close behind us (because no seat in front of us our personal items had to be in a small bin overhead). They actively required passengers place overhead luggage on its side so more items could fit in bins. Home crew made no such efforts. I had to struggle back rows to get overhead bags upon landing, no crew help then either, and some disgruntled passengers as I and others retrieved our bags. There was a system that worked pretty well. The home bound crew just didn't feel like working.
Southwest has inacted unfriendly customer policies like other airlines. Watch the fine print very carefully if you are having to alter flight arrangements. Rules are now complicated and very stilted to travelers sacrificing travel funds (unlike before where the simple, straight forward flight change policy was worth the extra premium for ticket price.) On the positive side, SW Flight crews are still wonderfully helpful.

Fairly good - the seats seemed more comfortable on this flight. The staff out of Detroit were quite friendly. But they directed us to the wrong carousel for luggage. :(
Just crazy with times being pushed and pushed and pushed and gate crew at Philly super rude and unprofessional with many under stress with delays.
I liked the new boarding process. I thought the buyup options (legroom, early boarding) to be easy to request and reasonably priced. All the Southwest team from gate to in-flight were so nice.
Flight time kept changing and so did the gate. It was very frustrating
Exceptional. The gate crew responded quickly and got me onto this earlier flight as the final passenger, saving me more than four hours of wait time for my reserved flight.
Liked direct flight options. Boarding is easy. Assigned seats, plenty of overhead bin space. Smooth flights, crew was helpful and friendly.
Staff friendly. Impressed that she spray cleaned the seat when I voluntarily moved to another before take-off.
Plane late by an hour. Would be nice if it is on time
Service OK except could not make out much of what the pilot said when making announcements. Wish they would have had seat back screens. Charging ports were conveniently located. Overall very average experience. Far from the best, but I've had worse.
I ended up having to sit next to a rather large individual who spilled over into my seat the entire flight. My neck and shoulder hurt from having to sit awkwardly for over 5 hours because this person didn't fit in their seat.
The inside of the airplane was to cold and there was condensation dripping down on me. We were late taking off from Portland to Medford and I was miserable.
The Drop Bag sounded like a good idea, but in reality it was a very long line with few employees to assist as you did the work to check in your bag. Take a carry on bag and skip Drop Bag! Our flight was delayed several times with no explanation. What food? We had a choice of apple juice or water.
Gate agent and flight crew were amazing! Only issue was landing and waiting on the run way for 30 mins to deplane.
The guy on the boarding gate, welber was very helpfula nd was able to help me, my wife and 2 young children be seated all together. The bad experience that i had on this flight was the flight crew- i waited for 15-20mins to retrieve my kid’s gate checked stroller. The flight crew didnt even apologize and told me to step on the side when i was already. Also the bag drop process was a pain. The machine keeps on having a lot of errors that wont take my bag. That took me alot of time to check my bag
Potatoes were not cooked in the pork potato meal. Flight attendants were great in first class.

The actual flight was smooth and we arrived earlier than expected which was great. The flight attendants gave unclear instructions and were rude. They seemed overwhelmed or flustered for the flight. Inflight service was delayed and unsure why.
Everything went smooth from check in, thru TSA, then boarding, and a smooth flight to ATL.
There were weather issues in the area apparently; however, that was not obvious from what we saw outside of LaGuardia. We were delayed leaving (which I understand); however, once we were on the plane we didn't leave for a long time. It may have been two hours?? - all I know is that we sat there for a long time with no information as to why we were not taking off. Finally, after 45 minutes to an hour (maybe?), the pilot gave us an update that no planes were able to go in the our flight path direction (or something like that) due to weather. There was nothing additional added. What does this mean? Why is this? What are the options? When will you give us another update? There were no updates for maybe another 30-45 minutes. There was no explanation as to why we couldn't be rerouted to avoid the weather. We had no information at all. We just sat on the plane (for about 2 hours) with very limited information. All I would have wanted is an explanation as to what was going on. Tell me there is bad weather coming our way. Tell me they are working to reroute us around it (which is what they did). Tell me SOMETHING.
My 4pm flight did not leave until about 10pm. I did not enjoy this experience.
I had an extensive delay on my previous flight and we had another delay due to the crew not being there. We were scheduled to have a late arrival but due to the delay it was even longer.
Had one of the worst travel experiences I've ever had. 1.5-hour delay turned into being held on the tarmac and our pilots timing out. Was supposed to take off at 4pm and didn't take off until 10:30pm.

My return flight to Honolulu (UA 1170) was on a 777-200. I’d forgotten the weird seating arrangement in first-class (2-2-2); I was in 1B, so I faced the passenger in 1C. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the flight computer, so we left LA an hour late (6:05pm). The meal I chose was Korean BBQ Glazed short rib. It was served with a nice salad and fried rice. This meal was better than breakfast on the outgoing leg. All in all, a decent flying experience. Ratings: 777: 3.75, food: 3.5, service: 5 (out of 5).
Food was not Good Nuts came very wet & not tasting Good Main course I asked for Steak they got me Chicken because they don’t have more !!!!

Flight delayed and then cancelled (due to mechanical issues + weather). Poor communication. No one there to help with rebooking and accommodations for the night we had to stay in Newark. Our luggage was taken off the original flight and apparently left on the tarmac in the rain. Items were soaking rain. The following day, the flight was also delayed due to mechanical issues. The second year in a row that I had to sleep in an airport flying from Tokyo to Newark due to mechanical issues compounded by bad weather. Partly bad luck and partly just poor service.

Leaving at 7 when scheduled to leave at 4:20 - you tell me. Understood there was a ground stop. Then having to "reboot" the plane because of a lighting strike, also understood. But basically the flight was a "clusterf#$%".
No drink service but there was no N/A as an option to choose. Seats were extremely tight. I am under 5.5 and I bumped my knees have no idea how taller people could manage.
My flight from Honolulu (UA 1221) was on a very old 757, no video monitors anywhere. If you wanted to watch a movie, you needed to do so using the United app on one’s phone. WiFi was $8 for Mileage Plus members; I demurred, choosing to spend my time reading a novel using the Kindle app on my Samsung S26. The meal was okay … Breakfast on any domestic airline is so-so as a rule and this one was no exception. The best part of the meal was the fruit plate and the warm croissant. The highlight: The flight left on time and arrived early.
My TV didn’t work I couldn’t watch any movies, but I was at least able to share with another passenger.
Mostly excellent. However, many too many gate changes. Connecting flight at ORD changed gate 6 times.

Our gate was changed several times, and the gate agents were just as in the dark as all of us in knowing when our plane would arrive at PHL.
Very long delay at PHL. The old section of terminal F is a disgrace. Take-off was 3.5 hrs late. It was not just the bad weather, but also too many jets occupying too few slots, a very PHL-based problem.,
Aa cancelled my flight where I was in first class seat 4B. They auto rebooked me on another flight, did not give me a seat assignment until at the gate. Where I got seat 29f, for a 4 hr flight. No accommodation at all for my first class ticket. Left 3 hrs late as well.
It was delayed 5 hours due weather and your app should be rebuilt or disabled. I could not change my original flight on delta so I did it through the delta app. Then rebooked on American once delta cancelled all flights from LGA to PIT on 8/27. American Airlines was fine once the flight took off 5 hours later. I wish my company would find a better provider than kayak.
