"Kayak/Qatar Airways tore one of my bags. I'd like compensation for it. Also, the check in at Chicago was time consuming and tedious owing to RT PCR checking. That should be made more efficient. Likewise, the check at Mumbai airport."

Flight staff was a mixed international crew, very friendly, unpretentious, polite and just nice compared to other airlines. The planes they use seem very new. Would definitely recommend Qatar Air over Aeroflot any day."

Although I was pleased that some of the flights used metal flatware, but still too much waste in the industry in my opinion. Also, the headphone jack was not compatible with my headphones. The type used on the 777 is the dual pronged one. I did not have an adapter so had to use the crappy headphones that are provided."

Pros: "My flight from Chicago to Doha was late to come in and there was a gate agent waiting for us and two other passengers with a sign when we got off the plane. He told us that our flight had already left but he would get us on the next one. We ended up getting seats on the next flight but then were also given the option to get a temporary visa and explore Doha for the night. We opted for the comped night which included a very nice hotel and $100 in meal vouchers. We absolutely LOVED Doha and the hotel and food was fantastic! I don't think I have ever received better service from an airline or a hotel. We ended up walking around Souq Waquif and the downtown until 1am (we are two young females!) with no issue and just used Uber to get to and from the hotel. Everything was so well laid out for us! No complaints whatsoever!"

They also pressurized us to decide quickly. our each check in baggage was over weight 1 KG or less than 1 KG due to faulty scale at home. Instead of giving us a choice or advice that you are allowed two more hand bags. They pressurized us to make one baggage over weight from all 7 bags and harassed us to do it quickly because they are closing counter in 20 minutes. That's how they charged me another $65. Also they lied on the counter that your seats are in a row but when i went into the plane our seats were separate. Lesson learned don't trust the person over the counter of Qatar airways."

Cons: "Online Check-in didn't work properly, so we had to check in at the airport. They were understaffed and it took us over an hour to get through check in. The customer service was horrible, and we were only allowed to bring a backpack for a carry on, forcing us to check our one carry on bag. This made our two long flights uncomfortable with nothing to change into once we landed in Dubai and still had another 8 flight to Johannesburg. The flight itself was overbooked, and we then had to place our backpacks under the seats in front of us, giving us no leg room for 13 hrs."

Screens and boarding card said "E11" but there were 3 gates "E11A" "E11B" and "E11C" and most passengers wasted time trying to find the right one (including "E11C" which was the first gate # passengers saw, and required going up stairs to a different floor to determine it was the wrong gate). Terrible signage, awful experience. Someone should be fired."

Cons: "Despite me telling the crew a number of times that he temperature was FAR too low, no change was made. Now I am not a first time flyer and I know flights can get cold. I had a sweatshirt, socks, shoes, two blankets wrapped and it was still cold to the point that I put the blanket over my head. When I looked around the flight almost every single person was completely wrapped in blankets and had hoods, sarees, and scarves wrapped around their heads. I had my 1 year old infant who already had a head cold that I feel was worsened by the cold dry air. I spent my first few days in Kolkata pretty sick. I know the cold air doesn’t cause the illness but it certainly worsened any stuffy nose I had into a full blown cold and chest congestion. I was VERY upset by the discomfort on this flight especially after having a wonderful flight with Emirates from New York to Dubai. I really felt like the crew did not care despite clear discomfort the passengers were feeling. It was incredible how visible the discomfort was yet nothing was done to fix the temperature. The freezing cold air kept blowing right on everyone theoughout the flight."

The little pouch with few essential things for travellers was very useful......you've taken take away too! Qatar, Turkish or Itthehad Airlines are beckoning me!"

The inflight after ringing the call bell for 10 minutes, was disgruntled to attend to us, literally screamed at us saying she was busy in the back and we need to be patient. She took an additional 10 minutes to bring us some water. Her attitude was inexcusable and offensive. I have been a loyal flyer making at least 2 travels in a year with Emirates and I'm ready to switch now."

Cons: "One of the worst experience I’ve had, if not the worst. Lack of communication between flight attendants at gate was the main reason for missing our flight, after 2 delays from the previous flight. When we got to the gate they closed it at that moment, earlier than it should have. A Mr. Fenney, person in charge at the gate, didn’t help much. Just went through the motion and as slow as possible trying to help us. It seemed he just wanted to pretend he was helping us. Worse was his attitude when telling is the gate has already closed, didn’t do anything to help us, nothing at all. We had to literally get information out of him. We then went to customer service were the same thing happened, a lack of care that we missed our flight due to things out of our control. Even to the point where the agent told us “be sure to be there on time this time”, like if it was our fault we missed it (we told her the details of our situation). Till this point they don’t seem to care. They left about 15 people, that i know of, hanging. If they had better comunication between gates and waited a miserably 5 more minutes (although they closed the gate earlier then they should have) everyone would have made it. Throughout the whole process we noticed that american airlines employees did not care that many on that first flight had connection flights. They were just going through the motion, slowly while all of us were a bit desperate knowing that the layover time was going to be very close."

In fact you would save a lot of money buy not putting seeds and grapes in the salads, buying plain white/wheat rolls with no seeds, and much simpler appetizers/desserts. I saw a lot of food being thrown away. Mine included. If you are trying to force people to buy food before they board, you have succeeded. TV displays and remote were very poor compared to your competitors."

There was nowhere in the reservation that asked about this. The plane was about 80 degrees for the entire 9 hrs. My clothing was soaked with sweat. The legroom was less than on the domestic flight (AA carrier) which led my son to bother the person in the seat in front of us more. There was a male flight attendant that kept coming by to tell my son to get in his seat, which was not helpful. He is only 3."

Cons: "Transferring between my flight from Madrid to my flight to Vancouver in the Dallas airport was an incredible pain. Sure, we had to go through customs, that's expected. Sure, wait for the luggage so you can take it through, right? We did. For 45 minutes. Then the announcement arrives: international destinations don't have to carry checked luggage through customs. That's why our bags never showed up. Now we have 45 minutes to get to our plane. We made it through customs relatively quickly, meander through the halls that guides are telling us to go through in order to get to our next flight... And then we arrive at the airport entrance, just outside of security. Thankfully, after alerting a TSA agent to our situation, we're not quite brushed off, but pointed toward another security checkpoint that might have a shorter line. We get back through security, and another TSA agent (who seems unsure we'll even make our flight) gives us directions to take a train to our gate on the other side of the airport. We sprinted. And we just barely made it. American Airlines was fine, Dallas airport and transfer protocols for international arrivals/departures were tedious, inefficient, and frustrating."

We had to pay for accomodation for two rooms at the Element hotel neer the airprt and we are still waiting to catch a "finaly" confirmed flight Jan 4th at 1.45 pm. I plan on calling BA hoping to collect the hotel fees at least."

Cons: "Heading from BWI to Newark to Boston on 9/29 on United. There were delays at Newark airport which lasted about an hour, and meant that we would be super tight getting in for our connecting flight. We had been told ahead of the departure of the delayed flight that there would be someone on the ground at Newark monitoring the delayed connecting flights, in case a flight needed to be held. Well, we actually landed about 15 minutes before our connecting flight was due to take off. However, we quickly found out that not only were the gates closed early, but the flight tracker was showing the flight had actually left early. There was clearly no communication between on the ground crews, and everyone working at the airport once we landed seemed confused about the situation. By the time we got within eyeshot of our gate, the gate agents were telling us that the Boston flight was already closed. This meant that no one was even monitoring the situation for us, and that they made no effort to hold the plane for the five of us who were supposed to be on that flight. Additionally, that was the last flight to Boston from Newark, so they literally didn't give one iota of care for our situation. I had a 10am wedding to attend that next day, and even after telling the agent this information she still asked me whether I wanted to get on a 10:38am flight to Boston, which made exactly zero sense. After all of this, she ended up getting me on a flight into manchester (that flight had been delayed for 3 hours by this time, and was delayed again after I was booked on it) which landed at 1:24am, a full two hours and some change after I would have landed in Boston, and a full hour away from Boston. Luckily, my boyfriend had his car and was able to pick me up. I finally got to Boston around 2:45am. My suggestion to the airport crews is to actually communicate when you have issues like this. It wasn't our fault, but we were greatly inconvenienced and they did not make an effort to prevent the situation at all. Adding to this, our pilot for that first flight told us that the reason for the first delay was that Newark was congested with too many flights into and out of the airport. THAT is entirely their fault for not being able to properly gauge their own capacity and should not have ended up inconveniencing passengers! I end all this with an additional inconvenience- when I arrived for my flight on Sunday at 4:40am for a 5:55am flight back to DC, I was told that my return flight had been CANCELED. Somehow, in rebooking me on the flight to Manchester. So I had to spend 30 minutes on the phone with United to get that fixed at 5 in the morning and nearly missed my return flight due to crew incompetence as well."

She was completely unsympathetic. Having a blinding white light in your face rather than an entertainment system, on a 14 hour flight, was torturous. My girlfriend and I were EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this flight. The food was also very underwhelming and akin to bad hospital food. But at least that was bearable."

Cons: "My wife and I along with our 2 yr old son were flying AI 102 from JFK to DEL on 12th Dec 2017. Boarding happened on time at 1 pm EST and that was the last sane thing to have happened. First, there was some problem and flight got delayed, AI staff would not tell us what was going on and kept buying time with one excuse or the other. Soon this stretched to over 3 hours of sitting inside the plane while the plane did not move an inch from the gate. Finally they announced there was some technical problem that required a part replacement and as per the DGCA regulations, passengers would need to deplane. After deplaning, we were given a $10 meal voucher and told to stay close by the AI gate as the replacement part was already on the way and the plan would take off around 6 PM. As time passed, passenger's impatience started growing as AI staff just wouldn't share any concrete information. Suddenly around 6 pm they announced that the replacement part had arrived and engineers were working to fix it and that boarding would now start soon, all this while insisting that passengers stay close to the AI gate as boarding could happen any time. Around 7 PM they started the boarding, little did we know that this was merely an exercise in deception that was never meant to get us on the plane, but rather just meant to herd us to a much smaller hall downstairs with poor air conditioning where people along with their hungry starving babies and crying children could suffocate further. To make matters worse, there was no explanation provided by the AI staff still about what was going on, downstairs staff would say engineers are still working and the staff upstairs that was managing the boarding said they were under instructions from downstairs passengers to board the passengers. After about 45 mins of waiting, passengers finally lost their patience. When several Mom's yelled at the AI staff to provide clear cut information, the staff relented and sent the passengers back upstairs where there was better air conditioning and people could still move around. We were still asked to hang out close to the AI gate lest we miss the boarding that could happen any moment - this was still 8 PM. After another hour of wait, around 9 PM finally we got hold of the AI station manager who informed us that the flight had been cancelled. Upon being asked the next steps, he had no answer and asked us to get back to the departure ticketing terminals where they would provide further information. Long story short, the next 2 hours were AI's shoddiness at it's best. Utter confusion, misinformation from the AI staffers, unruly scenes at JFK that eventually required police to be called in was the order of the day. We finally got into an AI arranged hotel at 1 in the night - no dinner - with the promise of being flown out the next day at 12:30 pm. It's another matter that the flight next day could depart only at 3:30 PM, but we were thankful that at least it did. #NeverFlyingAirIndia"

Cons: "Many seats on the plane were empty and I tried the touch screen consoles in 5-6 seats and none of them seemed to work. The plane was old and poorly maintained."

Pros: "Easy boarding, attentive flight crew, good food/snacks."
Cons: "There was trash by the seat and my tray table wasn't clean!"

Pros: "- Crew lack courtesy - Aircraft Seat cushion is not there - Seats mechanical system not in good condition - USB for mobile charger of maximum seats not working - touch screen of TV screen not working - few buttons of hand held remote missing - no soap in washroom - Loss of checked in luggage at destination airport, response of team not very cooperative."

Pros: "One of the crew members was courteous"
Cons: "The entertainment system was not working at my seat. Passenger in front of me also had issues with the entertainment system. Specifically the audio port had issues. Crew member suggested I shift to another seat where he said it was working. At that seat the video was not working. On being informed of the same he asked me to shift again. I didn't trust the crew and gave up. Being a long distance flight, working in flight entertainment is a necessary element. The second seat had issue while tilting back. It tilted back almost flat( broken )."

Pros: "The crew were polite and service was good."
Cons: "Plane was supposed to leave at 3:10pm but boarding started around 3pm even without any delay notice. Also the seats were so hard and uncomfortable, especially the bottom seat. Touch screen did not work."

Pros: "After boarding the aircraft, the interior was quite warm and uncomfortable as the air conditioning was not working properly. On asking the crew it was explained that it would be okay after the aircraft takes off. I could not understand this expanation but, had no choice other than bearing the heat in discomfort. The outside temp at Delhi at that time was 41 deg C. The aircraft was Airbus 321A, may be old one but should be maintained adeqately for the comfort of passengers and mind it, it's National Carrier's image. This continued even during the flight. The refreshments were of poor to mediocore standard. It's better not to provide cooked food and give cookies, juice, chocolates etc of proper quality and brand."

Pros: "That it's a straight flight to Delhi."
Cons: "Food wasn't great they need to update the containers that they use to serve food.plus entertainment didn't work at all.not only in my seat but most of the seats had problem.arm rest wouldn't sit up straight wen needed.plus no wifi"
