Your guide to booking Ponce flights

From booking to airport arrival, find tips to help you plan your flight with more confidence.
  • For the best chance at a low fare to Ponce, aim to book around 8 weeks before you fly. That window historically saves about 26% versus last-minute pricing based on KAYAK booking data over the last 12 months.
  • For flights to Ponce, recent KAYAK data shows that stronger deals tend to land around $249 round-trip. If you see a fare below that threshold, it's a strong deal – book before the price climbs back up.
  • If you can choose when to go, time your trip to Ponce around February. Round-trip fares historically average $224 that month – typically the cheapest month to travel based on the last 12 months.
  • Before you book:

    • Check the route's typical price range so you can spot a deal.
    • Confirm baggage fees and seat-selection costs on budget carriers.
    • Verify whether you need any travel documents beyond ID.
    • Pick a departure airport, since your nearest may not be the cheapest origin.
  • Shift your departure to morning to save up to $176 per round-trip. Morning flights to Ponce average $303 compared to $479 for noon flights. See the time-of-day chart above for the full breakdown.
  • Bag allowances vary by airline, fare type, cabin class and route. On flights to Ponce, some airlines may include bags at no extra cost. For example, Frontier includes a cabin bag and a checked bag in Economy Class and JetBlue includes a cabin bag in Economy Class. Always check the fare details before booking, since bag policies can change by ticket type.
  • When traveling to Ponce, many Americans opt to fly from John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Mercedita International Airport (PSE). Because it serves as the major hub for many well-known airlines flying internationally, including to Ponce in Puerto Rico from the US, JFK airport is well-liked because it encourages competitive pricing among the different airlines in this airport.
  • Consider staying at a hotel close to PSE Airport if you're traveling on the JFK-PSE route and yet your plane from the US is predicted to arrive in Ponce after midnight. Staying at a nearby hotel after arriving at PSE beyond business hours may make you feel more secure there. The Caribe Hotel, which is a seven minutes' walk away, is one of the nearest hotels that visitors to Ponce should consider staying at.
  • When traveling from the US to Ponce, those with disabilities may want to consider departing through Salt Lake City International Airport. The SLC airport offers a broad array of services, the majority of which are designed to accommodate travelers with various levels of mobility. For example, this airport has parking spaces reserved for cars carrying people with disabilities.
  • Passengers can relax in an airport lounge while getting ready for trips to various locations via air. When going to Ponce, the majority of American visitors who are on a limited budget and like to chill at an affordable airport lounge opt to fly out of SLC. The Delta Sky Club at SLC Airport is a moderately priced premium club whose services can be managed by travelers on a restricted budget.
  • Most travelers from northwest America heading to Ponce often leave through Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Several airlines, notably Alaska and JetBlue, operate indirect flights on this SEA-PSE route with only one layover in Orlando.

My screen didn’t work, my seat didn’t recline, the flight attendant was rude and completely dismissive, the airplane was freezing, the seats are way old, slanted and uncomfortable. I payed for a full ticket and got a horrific experience, with a flight attendant who dismissed me even though I was calm respectful and polite.

Flight was delayed many times. The crew was friendly but you eleven had to buy headphones to access the movies in the plane. $8 is not a lot for one person but it is when you travel with all your family.

JetBlue is always consistent and great, the food is limited in selection, but at least you can grab as much as you want on snacks and drinks at the Blue Locker.

Very well organized both boarding and deplaning. Very satisfied with the service I received.

Flight was on time arrived at the destination 10min early they kept in touch via email

at the time for boarding the lady just call Group A and no other goups and everybody from A to F go inside without the right turn, and when we get in theres no more spsce for carry on , the ones that get in at not correct group from the back occupy our space !!!!! a mess !!!!

The boarding and flight were ok, but there were several painful issues. The flight was 3:20 in the air and almost four hours door to door, but they only had snack packs on the plane. They really need to have food on longer flights or make it clear to everyone that they won’t have food. They also advertise free WiFi, but it did not work for 90% of this flight. Again, almost four hours door to door. If I had known I was flying spirit for JetBlue prices then I would have planned differently.

I think the food / snack service was very poor. tehy could have done better. Evrything else was great

No wifi, not even while close to the continental US or Puerto Rico, no entertainment whatsoever (TVs not working). Totally disappointing.

Wifi screens were great. Both flights were delayed, spending all day flying home and then getting home at 3am ruins the next day also.

Frontier is good until they cancel your flight. Way too many cancellations.

During the flight I suddenly felt very sick, and no one from the crew even tried to help me or check on my condition. They seemed completely indifferent and showed no concern for my well-being. I was very disappointed by the lack of care and compassion. I hope the airline improves its customer service and trains its crew to respond better when passengers need assistance.

First of all we hade waited 3 hours in the airplane waiting to leave. Second the return schedule was changed and it messed up my entire vaction. I won't buy never again another flight and recommend to nobody traveling with them.

The worst. They don’t follow procedure for boarding per group. Flight got delayed for no understandably reasons, they changed our destination from PR to Miami, left us inside a plane for more than 8 hours, then cancelled flight in Miami leaving us stranded. Poorly managed re-accommodation for a new flight and overnight stay so I have to spend in a new ticket and my own hotel room to been able to get to my office next day. Lost 2 days of work and as a doctor, patients loosing their appointments. to other flights and besides

I liked the price of the flight and the chance to buy a seat with no person seated in the middle seat.. Also the flight was right on time.

The flight left over two hours late. They charged me $180 to bring a carry on. There was an error with the spelling of my name and Frontair agent lied that I would need to pay $200 for her to fix the spelling, and pressured me that if I don't do it quick I would lose the flight. I called back and another agent said it costs $75 to fix. All in all, this company is a complete scam.

I took my first and last flight with FRONTIER. The seats are not able to be reclined so it’s not a very comfortable experience when you take a flight of 3 hours or longer. You must pay for your luggage either carry on or check in, so taking all this in consideration at the end what you think you’re saving your paying in services that should be included. Not a beverage in sight. . You’re seriously better off getting on a proper airline such as Delta, AA, United, etc.

Horrible and worse flight ever. Was left at the airport in SJU by my flight to JFK after several delay at Santa Domingo. Will never recommend Frontier to any one. After leaving, frontier customer service ask me to rebook and pay for another flight to from SJU to JFK. Worse airline ever. You pay for everything with frontier airline.

Frontier notifying me earlier of flight delay of over 2 hours.

Excellent crew. WE all know Frontier its a low cost airline but the travel time was about 30 minutes and the crew was phenomenal. I was with a group of 10 more and we are enjoy our flight. The only issue was in SJU waiting for the luggage.
