Cons: "Over an hour delay before boarding due to supposedly bad weather. Because flight was overbooked they were offering $400 gift card to change to standby on another flight. If you didn’t make that flight (evening), you’d be confirmed on a flight the following morning with one stop in Detroit (we booked a nonstop to Chicago). Uh, no thanks. Then to top it off, we’ve landed and been told that it will be at least an hour before we can deplane due to no availability at the gate (it’s 1145 pm right now). All this plus their new policy of not allowing us to select our seats because we bought the cheapest tickets. Really Delta? You go ahead and cater to the rich and I’ll choose to fly with another airline."

Pros: "Upon arriving in Minneapolis-St. Paul, it was a struggle to determine whether or not my bags had made it, whether or not I needed to collect them from baggage claim due to the cancellations/delays, and if I was even going to be able to transfer my ticket. Flight arrived late in the evening when most flights were basically complete for the day. Luckily, I happened upon a red-eye arrival, and spoke to an agent at that gate (Taj). Taj was without a doubt, THE BEST GATE AGENT I HAVE ENCOUNTERED IN MY 40+ YEARS OF TRAVELLING!! I explained my situation to him, and he immediately asked to see my travel info. He proceeded to get me on a flight much earlier than originally anticipated, upgraded me to Premium fare status, and did his best to re-route my luggage (which he informed me was still sitting in ATLANTA 18 hours after having left there...) - how does someone get on a flight, and their check-in get noted, but their luggage does not get put on said flight?? Things that make you go hmmmmm.... All that aside...I will be planning a trip to Minneapolis-St. Paul specifically to take a gift of appreciation to Taj! Well done on this end Delta - Taj is an excellent example of intelligent customer service."

Cons: "I purchased a basic economy ticket and upon checking in, my Delta app said my seat was unassigned and I had to get my boarding pass at the airport. I checked back later and the app had me as number 7 on the standby list. I called Delta (wait time 3+ hours... my flight was in 3), and then the Delta app support where I was able to get through to someone. She told me that the ticket I purchased over a month in advance did not guarantee me a seat on the plane (???). She said that if I was bumped from the flight they would reschedule me for the next morning. She was pretty rude and made it seem like I had a 50/50 shot of getting on this plane. I rushed to the airport in hopes that I would be the first from Standby there, and the gate agent told me that I was fine and would board right after first class and be assigned a seat then. Great. Once I got my seat assignment, I board to find out there is someone else sitting in my seat...... They eventually called the desk and had her moved, but it was the weirdest boarding experience I've had.. and I've flown Spirit. These planes that Delta fly's are SO OLD. Both times I have flown Delta the "turbulence" has been so bad and cold air was blowing right on my the whole flight with no option to turn it off (it wasn't from one of the vents, but from the side). Someone close to me works for Delta and I know for a fact that some of their engines blow mid-flight.. and they tell the passengers that it's turbulence.. so that doesn't make me feel very safe. I won't fly Delta again if there is another comparable option."

Cons: "Flight delayed with no email communication or on site staff communication found out from another passenger. No one from the airlines showed up to tell us. Gate changed 2 different times , again I found this out through a 3rd party. Even "first class" seats are packed like sardines, zero leg room and I am short at 5'4". My nefew also flew on this airlines a month prior and had a similar experience with the gate changes and delayed flight, but his flight was then actucally cancelled and he found out when he got to the airport, again with no prior communication from the airlines, he was told it was a "Staffing issue" . The airlines would not reimburse him his travel time or offer a hotel room since the next flight was not until the next morning. Needless to say I will never fly this airlines again, it was my first and last time using them."

They changed the location of our baggage claim carousel with minimal notice, only to change it back to the original carousel with NO NOTICE. It took over an hour again for our luggage to come out and it trickled in so slowly, that I ended up getting my bag a full two and a half hours after we landed. Awful experience."

You can keep the money. I wouldn't subject a mango dog to your airline and service."

Pros: "For the money i spent to fly the only thing i had free was water. Wasn't used to flying with no complimentary snacks and to purchase items were a bit expensive. Baggage took too long 30 minutes. Wasnt accustom to waiting for my luggage at the baggage claim. Other than that the flight was good. Thanks for your service, but i will try not to use Frontier airline's"

Pros: "The plane seem fairly new and the boarding was fairly smooth. The crew was calm and even patient from my perspective, considering they were handling mad costumers after a 3&1/2 hour delay on christmast day. I saw good will on this flight from the crew. Remember when the pilots use to show you the cockpit? Well this pilot did to a kid as he entered the plane. The kid and his father were very happy, expeessing how cool is was as they continue to board. That, was a nice gesture and resulted in relaxing some people! The flight was fairly quick once we were in the air. Tha been said. This flight did t allow for me to rate entertaiment and food since it was too short for the crew to set that up."
Cons: "Well obviously the massive delayed! I, like many arrived at the airport with enough hours ahead to take this flight so say 6-7am only to sit around until 12:00pm in order to depart. That alone is a fairly black mark. In addition, the gate kept been moving around. Of course there are other planes to arrive and that needs to be understood but the constant changing and moving to distant gates was a bit tough on some of us."

Cons: "This was our first experience with Spirit Airlines. They cancelled the flight about an hour or two before takeoff and it was the last flight for the day. We almost missed our daughters graduation because of this so we got a refund and rebooked on another airline. We won't be flying Spirit Airlines ever again."

Somehow we missed that we had to pay extra to take a carry on. But we didnt have a problem till las vegas to cleveland. They wanted 100 per bag. No mercy. So we lost all our cliths and bags. I will never fly with spirit again."
Pros: "Old @** seats...with no leg room (cant fathom how anyone over 5'7"-my height-could fit their legs), no lean back (crazy uncomfortable--thanked God "only" a 3 hr flight), & could feel every single thing kid behind me was doing No free treats... no nuts, no 1/2 a can drink The savings i thought i got on the tix was MORE than eaten up by the $52 checked bag fee each way, tried to pay on Spirit.com to "save" 10 bucks on way home, but couldn't even do that b/c online payment didnt work for me... (flew Spirit a few years ago and remember having to pay $25 for my carryon @ airport kiosk--didnt realize that they more than doubled their fees). I kept stopping myself from asking Spirit employees, "how can they work for this place with a straight face." Bare bones on steroids... NEVER again, but i am happy pilots got me to destinations safely, there is that"

Cons: "We arrived at the gate about 10 minutes after the scheduled boarding time. There were no passengers in the waiting area. When I asked the Boarding Attendant if this was the correct flight she was VERY nasty to us and stated that the boarding was getting ready to close. (however the flight wasn't due to leave for another 30 minutes). She scanned our boarding passes with an attitude and we proceeded down the walkway where there was a line to board. Obviously we weren't THAT late. Unfortunately I didn't get her name."

What's next? Charging for breathing while in-flight?? Overall I will not be using Spirit again, and I will not recommend Spirit to my friends or my company.\ Mike Gibbore"
Cons: "I will never fly spirit again. When booking my flight through cheapoair I thought I had found a deal. After checking in I not only had to pay another 30$ in fees, but also had to pay 20$ each way for my carry on, and 20$ each way to "reserve my seat". Needless to say I ended up paying an additional 273$ that I was not anticipating. You'd think I could have had a complimentary beverage while on board paying that much but that would cost you too much. Not only will I never fly spirit again but I will also be communicating my experience with friends and family, encouraging them to do the same."
Cons: "Unnecessary delays back to back which caused me to miss an event that I was supposed to attend that night. I was in the airport longer than the flight (from LA to Oakland). Once we finally boarded the plane, we were stuck at the gate for an additional 25 minutes. Ruined my evening."

Cons: "Everything. Flight was 2 hours delayed and they wouldn't let us off the plane. There was a loud weird noise coming from the wings when they applied the breaks. Sounded like the plane was going to explode. I have taken many many many flight and have never heard anything like this. The crew was so rude and when I wanted to buy food they wouldn't except cash only cards. WHO DOESNT TAKE CASH?! Its pure money. So I went hungry for 5 hours."
Pros: "From front desk to flight staff everyone was talky nice. Last minute flight want terribly priced."
Cons: "My outbound flight was delayed 4 times. I got to my destination at 2 a.m. to begin my 2 1/2 hour drive for an early morning meeting. I was not allowed to board my inbound flight despite being their 1 hour early and already being checked in. I couldn't print my boarding pass online nor at the airport kiosk due to Spirit Airline issues. When I got in line to see a ticketing agent I had 45 minutes to get to my flight. When I finally was able to speak to an agent she refused to print me a boarding pass. In spite of still having 35 minutes to get to my gate and having already checked in and purchased a seat. After trying for a week to contact someone at Spirit with no response I've reached out to the department of transportation to file a complaint."
Pros: "The crew was very fun and nice, water was pretty cheap other than that the flying part went smoothly"
Cons: "Everything was pretty expensive, checking my bags in, the weight limit dropped so I had to pay extra, baby's crying right behind me and also kicking my chair the whole time, thank god this flight was only an hour long"
