We booked online with kayak, but when we got to the Avis ticket counter, they said they didn’t honor same day booking site reservations, and refused to provide a car for us. We ended up having to go with budget, which ended up being cheaper anyway.Reviewed Aug 15 2026

I bought the extra insurance for 50k damage to the vehicle and it didn't matter cause they won't rent a car to someone who doesn't have thier insurance card on them. I'm with a small time insurance company who doesn't have 24 hour access to a digital card and I don't travel with my insurance card... it stays in my car! They already have fleet insurance on all thier vehicles anyway so regardless the car is covered for liability right?So I bought full coverage and had the policy in front of the agent and it didn't matter because of policy?.. stupid. More like profiling! I've never had a problem like this with nextcar or budget or dollar and I work for door dash which has avis perks they tell me. I've always been able to rent a car with my platinum Mastercard anywhere and bought the extra insurance anyways cause it has helped, and I suggest anyone out there to do the same. Pick up and drop off were simple, quick and easy. It snowed while having the rental, which clearly didn’t have winter tires so I was sliding all over the road. Be careful when driving if your rental does not have the correct tires!Reviewed Nov 10 2024

The rear passenger tire had a slow leak and we were continually stopping for air-called Avis Customer Service and we got an exchange with upgrade with no problem at all!!! It was simple and we lost no time on our journey!Reviewed Jul 6 2024
