It is not Avis problem. It is miscommunication between kayak and Expedia. According to kayak the pickup location was 64 th street NYC. Were as in Avis and Expedia the location is different queens NY.Reviewed Nov 15 2025

The pick up at AVIS was absolutely terrible. In a small airport like Palm Springs the pick up window was under staffed. When I finally got to the window they did not have the car we had reserved. When we were assigned a car it was not available and we waited more. Finally my wife went to the AVIS desk for the privileged renters and told that lady we had been waiting almost two hours and we needed help because I am diabetic. That person got us the AVIS car we had prepaid for and within 5 minutes we were on our way. The return process was back up for some reason. I waited in the car for probably 15 minutes. Then all of a sudden everything opened up and a person checked the car in and I headed to the terminal. Overall the service we got from AVIS at the Palm Springs airport was terrible.Reviewed Nov 13 2025

We waited in line at the service desk over an hour to pick up our car. Once we went out to the parking lot, and attendant had already given the car assigned to us to someone else so we had to wait for another car. When we went to leave out of the Avis parking lot, there was a problem with one of the exit lines so we had to merge with the one that was working which took even more time.Reviewed Nov 10 2025
