I had to wait for about an hour to get the car as the line was extremely long and there were only two agents trying to deal with it all. When I got to one, he was efficient and it all went smoothly, but the wait was awful. The car itself was good and I liked it. Getting the car was easy and so was the return. The original rental I was given had a heavy smell of cigarettes and pot. It was like a wall hitting me when I opened the door and I did not even get in the car. The Budget employee at the desk was very helpful and prompt getting me a different car but this should not have happened to begin with.Reviewed Sep 27 2026

After I pre-paid and the booking was confirmed via text, I received a call from the counter at the budget location to let me know that they don’t have any cars. Fine, but the next frustration was they said they couldn’t cancel the reservation themselves and told me I had to call customer service and relay the fact that there were no cars. Why can’t the person at the counter cancel it themselves? When I called customer service I of course had to explain the whole situation and I ended the call feeling anxious. It’s frustrating that you are allowed to book a car online when they don’t actually have the inventory. It should not be this hard.Reviewed Sep 27 2026
