Took an hour and 20 minutes to get service. At 9:30am, with numerous flights arriving to Maui, HI there were only (2) two AVIS representatives available to serve a steady stream of 20 customers waiting in line. Every now and then a third person would come up front to the check-in area, login to the compute, and then return to the back office. Never attempting to lessen the customer load of the other two representatives. They needed to have more staff during prime, busy hours. None of the AVIS employees seemed concern that the wait per person was over 13 minutes in most cases even if the person had confirmed reservations.

We waited over 2 hours in a queue to collect our car, the lady was lovely and I felt bad that she was the only one on but it was super hot outside and it was such a waste of time.

I paid what I expected and the car was good.

The car overall would have been great but when we picked it up, it smelled like someone had smoked something in it and then they sprayed something in the car to cover up the smell. This smell stayed with the vehicle the entire time of the rental. The washer fluid was also low The entire trip.

This is not the fault of the employees at this office, but of the corporation itself. My car was not ready when I arrived for my scheduled time because this location ran out of vehicles. They were not even sure when or if they would receive more vehicles. Apparently the company allows folks to keep booking despite not having the information of whether or not a car will be available and ready at the agreed rental time. I didn’t get my car until 1.5 hours after the scheduled pick up time. Unacceptable.

We had to change our pick up time due to delays. We tried calling the Albany location MANY times but no one answered. Then we called Avis directly and they said there were no cars available if we changed our time, even though we had booked a vehicle. We ended up with no car and had to find alternate transportation. Terrible customer service!

I had reserved a mini van for pick up 2:00 pm on July 4th dropping off at 2:00 pm on July 5th. I was not notified by call or email. I only found out that the reservation was moved to Kily 5th pick up at 7:00 am and drop off 11:00 pm via my calendar. I would never have booked that as my departure flight was at 3:05 pm. Very disappointed. Avis ctold me to contact Kayak and Kayak told me to contact Avis. Will not use Kayak to verify book another vehicle rental.
