30 minute wait at pick up with only 4 people on line ahead of me. Otherwise a nice rental experience with a clean car and easy drop off

The price was great but the pickup was unacceptable. It was a 2 1/2 hour wait in line at the counter to pick up the car. We missed our dinner with friends because of the wait. I will never use Avis/budget in Punta Gorda again. There was only one person at the counter for the first 2 hours of waiting time.

The pick up and drop off was a little unclear. had to ask a few folks. drop off was not clear. there early 3:45am and directions in contract were not well written. took two people and 10 extra minutes to figure out.

There is a charge of $250 on my CC from the day I dropped off the car. Why? I 100% fueled the car, shook out the sand from the floor mat, and left the car clean. They said everything was okay at drop off and did not say that there would be a $250 charge. What is the deal? Please correct and let me know, $250 is not nothing.

I got scammed. The car was never there upon arrival. Never again. I had to dispute my credit card for the charges.

Pickup was a disaster. Their system went down for about 30 minutes during check in, so their staff was paralyzed. The line continued to grow. It took about 90 minutes to finally get my vehicle.

I was double-billed for this car: $454.29 from QEEQ.com who placed the rental order and $619.64 from Budget. When I disputed this double charge, Budget said I was late for picking up my car, so the original order had been cancelled and new order placed. I stood in line for the rental car for over one hour -- that's why I didn't pick up the car on time. I was there, the rental desk was understaffed and the line of renters was very long.
