1st day of two day rental was cancelled due to no cars available at location. Quoted rate was NOT maintained when car was available on the second day.

I went there and was struggling to find the place, as the actual address is not what’s listed on Kayak because they’re trying to confuse people from finding the poor reviews on Google Maps. Once I was finally able to find the place, I went in there and showed them the confirmation and the guy told me sorry we have 0 cars. I told him but I have confirmation and the booking was extremely recent (literally the night before), how come you didn’t know you had no cars when you gave the confirmation. He just looked at me and said sorry there is nothing I can help you with. He suggested that I drive another 30 mins to a different Avis location and “try my luck”. When I asked him to at least reach out to that location before I go there, he said sorry “I don’t have the power to do that”. Quite honestly, this experience made me decide to never use Kayak again, and only the rental companies websites, to hold them accountable. Kayak’s confirmation email didn’t even offer a link to lodge a complaint for the above or leave a review. You guys literally don’t care whether your customers actually got a car, had a pleasant experience with the rental company, or even got scammer with a fake confirmation so that they go there and be forced to upgrade to a car 3x the price because the company they booked with “unfortunately, don’t have the car currently available”.

car smelled like smoke. gas tank was ¾ full which made refilling to the same level impossible.

They didnt have any cars available. Then was told they did at 3 other locations only to be told they didnt have any there either. Still haven't received my refund either. Total scam!

The agent from whom I picked up the car was very good and professional. The agent with whom I dropped off the car, was not very professional. He would not answer my questions about dropping off at that location, and walked away as I was talking. Then I found out Avis had charged me extra for dropping off at another nearby location (10 streets away), from where I had picked up, even though that's what they had instructed me to do, because the location I picked up from, closes prematurely at 3:00 p.m.. I had to call in and ask for the refund on the extra $25 charge.
