I paid upfront for the car hire. When I eventually got to the Budget hire at City Airport (including £25 taxi to get there) I was told that I could not hire a car - due to a previous driving disq (which has now expired but remains as note on license for an extra 2yts). - I was never asked about this during the hire process; - it has never stopped me hiring before (I hired a month ago, not from Budget); - I was not offered a refund WHAT IS THE POSITION THERE? - my weekend was ruined I could not get to where I was goingReviewed Jan 29 2024
