Flight cancelled, decided to drive home... Budget really stepped up
Pros: Needless to say I was a bit stressed. The Budget guys were great. The rep noticed by looking at my license that it was my birthday, and upgraded me to a Mustang for a super low rate. They were very friendly. And super helpful.
Cons: There was a line at the beginning, but they dealt with it well, letting us all know how long it would take to get to us, and assuring us all we'd be taken care of.

Cons: They overbooked and did not have the car. The line was insane and there were dozens of unhappy customers.

They did not honor the price I received on kayak!
Cons: When I arrived they said the price on my reservation from kayak was a misprint and charged me significantly more for the rental!

Cons: When I arrived at the registration counter at ROC airport on the evening of 6/9/2017, the person told me they didn't have the car type that I reserved, and they would need to charge me $10 per day. I asked them if I had a choice other than to pay it, and the person said no. That is not appropriate. Customer service told me the next day, I shouldn't have agreed to the extra $10 per day, and by doing so I was accepting the extra charge. They promised me a refund of the $20, but really, at 12:30 am when I arrived, I just wanted to pick up the car type I reserved and agreed to pay for and go. A positive customer experience was not created.

terrific customer service and fantastic New SUV
Pros: Very courteous customer service. Easy registration, pick up and drop-off. SUV was in very clean and new condition.
Cons: When I tried to extend reservation one additional day, the call center quoted a price more than double what was printed on contact at Rochester pick up location and would not honor the price on the contract that was printed in Rochester.

Cons: Agent stated that toll device wasn't available in the car, but it was. Reservation wasn't properly opened, and could not be found at destination. Agent at destination said she would have original agent open the contract and email me a receipt when it was closed. I never received a receipt. When attempting to rent from Avis in another city, I was asked why I never returned the first rental.

Cons: The only thing I didn't like is reservation said Impala or similar and I got a Malibu which I think is smaller

Pros: The car was great. The people I dropped it off with were excellent.
Cons: They guy who got me sorted at the beginning tried to give me a totally different (and not as good car) and was a bit rude about it. Then he tried to upsell me on a number of things and disparaged me for not taking them. Not good sales technique and not good customer service.

Pros: The rate was good but the car was poor quality. It vibrated severely at highway speeds, was not properly aligned and did not have standard features which I expect (e.g. USB jacks, Bluetooth, etc.)

Fast and simple
Pros: Efficient friendly pick up. Clearly marked instructions for after hour returns. Clean, non-smoking car.

Good car for the money, service not so much
Pros: I rented a Chevy Cruze; thought it performed well, and was quite economical. So, very good value for the money.
Cons: Service was disappointing with regard to pickup: kept me waiting for no reason. Also, I returned it completely full, but the sensor said I had driven more than 4 miles since filling it up. The software therefore charged me $18 to refill, but the charge was over-ruled at their desk.

Worst Customer Experience
Cons: They sell for cheap and then add hidden expenses, and they treat their customers in a very bad non-understanding way Their system is flawed and they still won't accept feedback. They are not there to give you a good service, they are there to rope you and treat u bad after

Pros: Vehicle was clean, reliable, and very comfortable.
Cons: I paid for Satellite radio but it did not work. I was able to get a refund for it. I was surprised by the cost in the end. there were lots of fees I was not expecting.

Cons: I called to ask how much it would be to drop off at a different location and was told it would not cost anymore. However, when i went to extend the rental, it was $200. I was also inadvertently told the wrong return time.

Pros: Nice car
Cons: Got there they didn't have car I paid for. They up charged me and for a Lincoln. Drove 250 miles to pick someone up (my children). Just to find out the back seat was missing 2 of the 3 latches. Tried to call office but even though I was told they were open until 1230am (wanted a same day return) they really closed at 6pm. Left note in key drop box with key to have someone call. They never did. Filed complaint with 800 still no call back. Spoke to office car was on loan was promised it would be looked at upon return and manager will call. Never called. Still waiting contacted via Twitter and they say to contact them via email. Did that today. Here's to waiting more. I will not rent from them again. Ever!
