Pickup was okay. Car was VERY dirty on the inside. We attempted to extend our rental one day as we were driving the 8hours back to Oslo. We tried calling directly on the envelope they gave us and the call wouldn’t go through. We tried multiple times. Finally called the call centre for budget, got through to someone who quoted us $170 can to extend a day, they then put us through to the rental counter but they wouldn’t answer and we were disconnected. We tried calling again and when we finally got through they said the price was $240 Canadian and they couldn’t do anything. Then they threatened us if we dropped off late we would be charged. The woman was incredibly rude, ignorant and simply a jerk. We drove straight to the airport to drop off and when I went inside, I told the man what had happened, and before I know it he passes me the keys back and tells me he took care of it, it’s extended a day…. All smug like he wanted a pat on the back for being such a good boy. Well guess what, it was NOT helpful. I asked him how much it was going to be in Canadian to extend…. $440 Canadian dollars!!!! Are you effing kidding me, you stupid little man child??!?!!?! You think you did a good job? My rental for almost a week was lot much more than that and you think I want to extend when the price magically went up multiple times in the last 3 hours I tried contacting you and kept being disconnected because you wouldn’t answer your phone!?!?!?? So he refunded the money he put through on my card that I did NOT authorize, so when both transactions go through, because of the exchange rate, it will cost me money for his idiocy. I am beyond infuriated.

The vehicle was good. They charged outrageous amount for gas. We used the vehicle for 1 day and charged over $100. We used $25 Not happy about not getting some money reimbursed

The front desk was really efficient and super polite. He even gave us info about gas stations etc. The pickup was efficient as well. They are the closest to terminal and have a staff member 24/7 at the pickup location as well. Car was in excellent condition. To compare with Hertz next to them: - they don't upsell (Hertz even forced an "upgrade" to a worse car on me because I was 1h late to pick up due to flight delay). I actually requested an upgrade and they only charged 5 euros/day vs try to force me into a more expensive car - they don't nit-pick on scratches etc AND they inspect on the spot (vs surprises after) - Super polite.

No same-day rental. I booked six hours in advance, and the reservation went through once I landed and went to the kiosk, only to find out there was no car available because they don’t do same-day rentals.

Only issue was GPS not leading right to the pickup location. And there is no Budget signage, so it was a little hard to find.

There were absolutely no cars available. The personnel was absent and incompetent. We left and went to Enterprise who gave us great service.

Pick-up associate was kind, helpful, and friendly...and was efficient in getting me my rental and on our way. I needed to utilize the Budget Roadside service for a tire issue the day before returning the vehicle. The tow truck driver who responded was INCREDIBLY kind and thoughtful but knew little of the process for returning the vehicle with a spare tire and what the process would be to get the car returned with a tire with a puncture or if it needed to be repaired before return. Also, Budget had not customer service support available late into the evening in which to get direction and next steps for returning the vehicle. Upon drop-off one desk agent was not friendly and helpful, seemed bothered and not willing to help considering the tire complication, the next agent was attentive and helpful, but also knew little of the process of utilizing additional insurance coverage and what the tire repair process might entail. The car was clean and ran well, no complaints with the vehicle itself. All customer service agents responding in a professional and willing way as well as having knowledge of protocol when an issue arises would improve the overall experience.
