Pros:
This was overall a terrible experience for me. The car was extremely dirty (both inside and outside) at pick-up. The drop-off experience was even worst. I made a reservation for a day, traveling from PA to CT for an estimated cost of $201.24 due at pick-up. I dropped off the car around noon (mid-day) on the same day. A few days later, I checked my bank account and saw that they charged me $631.33 (triple the initial estimated price I agreed with at pick-up). It turns out that when I dropped off the car, the agent did not add it to the system until three days later, which he confirmed to me himself. Then, he told me to call the company for a reimbursement, which would take two to three weeks. When I called Hertz, they confirmed that they charged me for three days instead of one and told me they would do what is necessary to deal with the issue. I still have not received any follow-up calls or emails from them. This is extremely unprofessional and irresponsible of them.Cons:

The car was good, just wish it had a CD player. It was ok on cleanliness, could have been cleaner. Overall happy with the rental.Cons:

There was an added 6 dollar fee that was never explained. We were in a hurry to leave although I did ask the lady about it and she said it was "too late" to change it. She claimed at first that we had said yes to some extra damage coverage online which we had not and this was reflected on the bill. So I never did figure out what the 6 dollar charge was and when we went to turn the car in they said we could call the customer service office about it, but in reality I am not going to sit on the phone for 30 minutes for 6 dollars and the charge should not have happened in the first place. Secondly, we had to stand in the cold for about 15 minutes as we waited for our car to be prepared. That was annoying although the attendant did apologize for it. We were just in a hurry to get on the road because it was the day before Thanksgiving and we were in a hurry to beat traffic. It's just these small things that make you not want to rent with this company again.Budget

Didn’t get the car that I reserved over 2 months in advance. Was given a smaller substitute car. The car was not well kept at all with stains on the seats. Was charged almost double than what I was quoted.6.0 Okay

Didn't have a compact car as booked - ended up with a swanky SUV (at the same price!). Quick pick-up and quick drop off. The quoted price (cheapest for the area) was the final price. Nice car, made for a smooth trip.9.2 Wonderful
