Best rental place in the country
Pros: I have been to hundreds of rental places. This is by far the best I have ever been to.
Cons: I don't like having to rent cars all the time but it actually saves money in the long run

Pros: Absolutely nothong!!
Cons: Worst and nasty customer services from bottom to top. Terrible Manager by the name of Sarah at your DCA airport location. Her attitude smells nasty, the least is to listen to your customers concerns but just brush up as if am her servant wasn't call for and you had a front desk helper called Deborah trying to fix things. After you guys charged my credit card for $233 instead of the $123 you gave me confirmation for. Never in my lifetime will i go closer to Budget, and i will make it a campaign to tell everyone i know. Including my 70K followers on Facebook. It's my new mission, your customer at your cooperation kept giving different solutions, i spent 4 hours on the phone for reservation i made 1 week prior to travelling.

I waited 45 minutes to pick up car
Cons: On a Wednesday evening there was a big line to pick up my car, I waited 45 minutes before I drove off the lot. They where completely understaffed for the rush, and no one stepped in to help out. When I dropped the car off, I was getting my son out of the car seat, and the person was pushing on me the receipt. I thought I had an airport pick up reservation
Pros: I reserved a car at what I thought was the airport and when I arrived I found out it was at another location. So the rate was higher and I was also charged a loss damage waiver that was almost as much as the car?!?

Old car with technical problems
Cons: The car was too old, the bodywork was In a bad condition and a warning light came off on the dashboard. I had to go to the airport to have the car replaced.

Great service with room for improvement
Pros: Good cars for rental and helpful associates (one tried to ensure my rate didn't go higher due to the fact that I went to a different pickup location).
Cons: Facility appeared short-staffed giving an impression of customer delay.
Pros: Waited 1.5 hours for a car, then I was transported to a different location to wait for a different car. The car I received was dirty and I received poor/erroneous return instructions.

Pros: I loved the service from the rental car office, everyone was very nice, down to earth and willing to help me.
Cons: Kayak, you need to provide clear disclosure before taking peoples payments online. You need to disclose that the coverage you offer for insurance is different than Enterprise, and that there is a security deposit in addition to the cost of the rental. For credit cards it's $100 and for debit cards it's $200. So instead of paying $400 I paid over $600. I would not have been upset if you would have just said that at the time I made my reservation online.

Easy and Excellent
Pros: I had to rent a car rather last-minute, and this was the most stress-free and quick way I can imagine. Kayak gave me a great price, and the Enterprise service people were incredibly friendly and easy to deal with.

Friendly, professional staff
Pros: The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They even credited me with an excess fuel charge because there was more fuel in the tank when I returned than when I rented it. I never had that happen at a rental car agency before.
Cons: Fortunately, a day before we left, I noticed that the pick up and return were not what I had specified in making the rental. Rather than being at the airport, they were at some other location in the D.C. area. When I called to change, I found out that there would be an additional charge and then the computer system shut down so I was told to call back. I went to Avis on line and was told that the reservation number was not associated with my name. I called again and cancelled. When I received the cancellation, it had the correct number, but was for some location in PA. I then used my Avis preferred number and made a reservation. Although $30 more than my original reservation, it was uneventful. I will never use a KAYAK arranged rental again!!

Pros: I appreciated the professionalism and politeness of all the employees I encountered with AVIS. My rental was not at the location I had expected, most likely on oversight on my part. And while the counter employees were not able to help much, they were polite and apologetic. I called the AVIS call center later that evening and the employee work with me to find a rental location close to my lodging, and a great rate. He went above and beyond to search for good rates and coupons. When I went to pick up the car, they location did not have the car size I had reserved. The AVIS employee was able to rent me an upgraded car with out any extra fees. When I went to return the car, they allowed me to return the car to the airport location without paying any extra fees.
I will rent with AVIS again.
Cons: I received a call from Hertz eleven days after making the reservation, two days before I was to pick up the car, informing me that the car would not be available because they would be closed. By this time, all available rentals in my area had been reserved. Hertz was unable or unwilling to help.
I was unable to get a car, and therefore unable to go home for Thanksgiving.
If I could give this a negative rating, I would.
