Pros: The front desk staff went out of their way to accomodate my needs and get me the car that I needed for my trip.

Pros: Staff was very quick and supporting. It was a RAV4 which was nicely maintained. It did not give any trouble. I had hired it for 13 days. It was returned on Saturday and office was closed so left the car at the office and dropped the keys in the drop box which was a convenient mode. I have not received the final bill so no comments could be offered if any deviation has been made in the agreed charges.
Cons: The car did not have a navigation system which is big negative point as it was not possible for a foreigner to drive without the navigational assistance. so i had to purchase the device which added to the cost. it would be appropriate if each car is equipped with this device as it would add to the service value.

Pros: The booking process was easy and seemed like good value... it was too good to be true.
Cons: The booking should not have been made. This booking company sent me to a closed car rental agency - which was not open on Sundays. It was an expensive taxi there, then the driver waited while I tried to find a place that was actually open, from where to hire a car, before driving me across town to the legitimate booking. What a waste of my time and money! I would not know anything about the Hertz experience, but I am very disappointed in Kayak.

Pros: Friendly and efficient staff. Office remarkably pleasant to be inside compared to other Hertz and other rental car compant offices. Vehicle drove well.
Cons: There did not seem to be a dropbox for after hours dropoff. Navigation device included in my particular rental does not turn off; the best I could do was turn the brightness to minimum.

Horrible Cancellation Policy
Cons: I called on the day of my rental with some bad news about my travel plans (flights delayed, had to get home for other issues) so I would not be able to pickup my rental car anymore. Unfortunately their policy is to charge you in full if you aren't able to pickup the car. So, I was charged in full for the three days I was supposed to rent this car. I understand there is typically a cancellation FEE associated with last minute cancellations. I didn't realize Hertz was so petty and charged people in full their full reservation when life happens. Too bad.

not able to get a car need refund
Cons: they would not release the car to me because someone in the company ordered it for me and they would not accept nay credit card other than the one that was taken when the reservation was made! this was an awful experience

Second time I've had a crappy car
Pros: The people at Hertz were nice.
Cons: I had to wait 30 minutes. I got a car with 37,000 miles, a stain on the drivers seat and out of alignment--it was like driving in a massage chair on the highway. This is the second time I have had a bad experience at Hertz. I am a GOLD Member.
What ever happened to Hertz' #1 rating?
I am done. Never again.

Cons: I wasn't informed that the office is closed on Saturday which is the day I had to return the car so when I arrived there was no one there - it was incredibly hot and I had to wait outside for a taxi to come get me.

Cons: they charged me more that what I paid for, as apparently the amount of tax was miscalculated.
Cons: When I booked, I put RDU airport as pickup. What I ended up with was 25 miles away from the airport. Why would I not get an obvious notification of this during the booking process. I ended up spending more money and was inconvenienced.

Late and dirty and wrong car
Pros: Nothing- paid for a Buick and got a Ford Fiesta.
Cons: Everything- no cars at pick up time, wrong car, smelled like smoke, and dirt everywhere. I have a video.
