Staff was super friendly. Just was kind of irritated that it jumped 300 something dollars to 730 dollars because of all the fees/"upgrades" that I wasnt sure about because they seem small but they nickel and dime you to death the 200 dollar deposit was ridiculous compared to enterprises 60Fees. enough. I liked the gas and liability fee. But honestly was extremely overpriced.

Nothing, the worst car rental experience I've ever hadEverything. The customer service was terrible, the car was awful and the whole experience was horrible. So bad in fact, I went to enterprise the same day to rent a car because hertz was a joke. I'll never rent through either hertz or kayak again. Absolutely terrible experience all around.

Friendly staff. - super easy pick up and drop offTank was just 1/2 full - would have been nice to have full tank to start off our journey.... But that's just a small inconvenience. Car was clean and comfortable. Part of the front right panel was loose upon picking up vehicle - it was noted by staff, but I think it should have been fixed before renting to me. It made a whistle sound driving down the highway....

The man that helped me when I checked in was very nice and worked fast.When I came to return my vehicle there were only two employees working and there were about 15 people waiting. I left and came back and still had to wait about 30 minutes and I was given mis information on the gas. Also the car was not a good value I’ve rented cars for a quarter of the price at other rental car companies.

-Rented a luxury vehicle, given an old beat up 2019 mustang with 33k miles. Back window wouldnt roll up, front wheels damaged as the car shook for my whole 270 mile drive to las vegas. Tried to get a replacement in las vegas enterprise, was told nothing available and given an beat up pickup truck. On top of it, Enterprise lot person told me not to worry about documenting the damage i found as the I had paid for full coverage ins. However, when i returned truck to thousand oaks enterprise, they filed a damage claim against me. Wow, Enterprise is just like FOX rental cars now.

The staff made it easy especially with all of the Covid hurdles.You guys need to let your employees wear hats if they are going to have to work outside in the hot sun while Covid is causing issues.

absolutely nothingthe pick up/drop off time I requested did not translate to them. I booked $40 x 2 days no drop fee at LAX - I got charged 40 + 80 ... so if you can get my $40 back equalling the receipt you gave me - I would say Bravo! as it - worst ever- never again

If I could give a minus 1 star review, I would. I was waiting for over 20 minutes for the one guy working behind counter. When he finally approached me to begin the rental process, Robert, began asking typical questions "1 day rental?" My reply - yes. "Would you like to purchase our insurance?" My reply - no, I am fully covered by my insurance. "Are you sure you don't want to purchase?" My reply - no thank you. "What's your deductible?" My reply - is that really necessary? And yes it had an inquisitive tone. "I don't appreciate your rudeness; we are canceling your rental." My reply - what? Are you serious? You can't ask that? You are only required to ask if I have insurance and who's my carrier. Yep - Rudeness Robert did not allow me to rent a car from Avis, and as an AmEx platinum member who has status with Avis, was denied my reservation and renting a car because I CHOSE TO DECLINE their add-on insurance. This is the most blatant display of nonstandard questioning I've ever encountered in renting a car. The tactics pulled are closely akin to what a scam artist would pull on an unsuspecting individual! This place and it’s manager Rudeness Robert, are horrible and this business in no way, shape, or form should be associated with the Avis franchise. Please be forewarned that the location of this Avis franchise is 3167 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91362 and that their practices are despicable. Thank goodness Midway Car Rentals is right next door, is a much better establishment and is respectful of its customers. They rented me a car on the spot, matching my rate provided by Kayak, and advised me I was the 3rd person THAT WEEK that had a similar experience described above when attempting to rent from Avis.

Flat tire, does give a...Cheap price okFlat tire. Needed to exchange the car and Steve said, come back at 12. M***** I have work 50 miles away right now. I need a car. He didn't care. No customer service skill what so ever. He hates his job but the problem is it affects you. Dude needs to work in the mountains or something.

A dump, and they tried to give me a smoke saturateThe price.I paid $13 to take an Uber down to Avis. I had a printed a "premium" vehicle, which is basically a Chevrolet Impala, Chrysler 300 or similar. The representative pulled an Impala up to me. As soon as he opened the door, the strong smell of cigarettes wafted out. It was obvious they had not wet-cleaned the interior since the smoker(s) used the car. I told him the car reeks of smoke, that I would be driving a number of clients around all day, and there was no way I could take this car. He said they had no others of this type. He also tried to convince me that the car didn't smell like smoke. He then kept trying to get me to take a compact SUV. No matter how many times I said I needed and reserved a large vehicle, he kept trying to put me in a small vehicle instead. Ultimately, I agreed to take a mini van. However, he showed me the minivan (I wanted to ensure it was free of smoke). The van was covered with a mud and dirt, and the seats were covered with salt and French fries, like the last people to use it took a trip to the mountains with unruly kids. It also smelled of fast food. He said it would take about 45 minutes to clean out. At this point, I simply left and walked a few blocks over to Enterprise, which had several vehicles available. Unfortunately it also cost me about $140 on top of what I had expected to pay Avis. In addition, Enterprise would have picked me up, so my $13 Uber ride was also a waste. I plan to submit the bill for the difference to Avis for putting me in this position with their incompetence and negligence.
