Good prices, convenient location, helpful staff, clean facility. Took a bit of time for vehicle to be ready - ~25 minutes. And this was after I had earlier phoned to confirm my arrival time. Vehicle was well-used with 75K+ miles on it but I was ok with that - would rather the well-worn vehicle than higher prices.

Engine light went on 2 days before drop off. And when every car rental company is at the San Francisco EXCEPT FOX you need to say that. Then the Fox car rental shuttles you to the general rental drop off where you have to get on a 2nd tram? Need to say that on the rental.

The shuttle drivers were nice, but pickups were too far and few in between. We waited 1 hour for a shuttle to pick us up on arrival and we’re worried we would not make it in time to pick up our car. Next, Fox tried to upsell me to a midsized vehicle even though I had selected and paid for what I wanted. When I went to pick the car up, it turns out they did not have the small economy car I requested. Instead they only had dodge chargers available or other larger vehicles. I prepaid for gas and they told me they couldn’t guarantee that I would not be billed for the larger gas tank even though this was caused by their breach. The car itself had issues - the key fob would malfunction and fail to open and lock the car at times, the interior of the car had discoloration in the seats, and the tires were definitely under inflated. The whole experience could have been better.

Very friendly helpful staff. Quick and efficient. Good choice of cars as marketed. Beware the auto check-in machines though. Our flight arrived early and we checked in 45 minutes earlier than booked. The auto check-in system as a result added another day to our booking (to cover the additional 45 minutes!). In fairness this was corrected when we mentioned it on our return. We also added Sat Nav as recommended by the auto check-in for an additional US$97 but this was unnecessary as our car already had Sat nav built in.

The process was very smooth from A to Z, staff very friendly and efficient. We loved our car! It was very clean and comfortable. There is a shuttle driving you to the pick and drop off location from and to the airport. Very easy! I recommend!

We've used Enterprise many times in the past, as recently as Nov '21. It was very frustrating to go to rent our vehicle and being told we need to provide an utility bill, banking statement or credit card statement to be able to pick up our car. I happened to have an email from the USPS about mail being 'held' with our address but that wasn't good enough. After 10 minutes of searching what we could access, I finally was able to access a credit card statement with our address on it which verified our address. Really ?!!? Who travels with a copy of a utility bill ?? Having this happen after 24 hours of traveling turned a somewhat smooth transition into a frustrating event making me reconsider using your fleet in the future. The agent was helpful but your idiotic policy overshadowed her attempt to be helpful. You may want to highlight these criteria on your website so people can be prepared to provide what you are demanding.

Enterprise had a limited choice of rental vehicles in the compact SUV class. When we arrived, they only had one car - a Buick which was unsatisfactory due to poor visibility out of the right side. Car had very large headrests and tiny tinted back side windows which made it nearly impossible for driver to view blind spot on right side. Rep didn’t offer a vehicle in the next class up (mid-sized SUV) without additional charges. Don’t ever rent a Buick compact SUV. It’s hazardous to drive in heavy traffic due to its very limited visibility.

If you’re flying later in the day-DO NOT trust that the shuttle will get you anywhere! Waited forever at the airport and then check in took a while but on the way out I waited well over 30 mins and then one shuttle came but said she was off work so another should be maybe 10 more mins which it didn’t so I had to take an Uber to the terminal to avoid missing my flight.

We had booked a luxury car online, but when we got there we found out we were too young, so we were downgraded to a different car. Despite that, we had to pay the price for the luxury vehicle. That is not even the worst part. The amount that we were charged for the car was double the amount that was quoted on the reservation. The "compensate", we were told we didn't have to fill the gas tank when we dropped it off. This did not drop the rate even near what we were promised. The car itself was fine and we were on our way. We then come back to drop the car off and are having it checked out. A scratch was found on the car that we are clueless as to where it came from. I'm assuming we are going to receive additional charges for that, but I guess I'll wait and see. Overall a sloppy, unforgettable experience.

Our flight was canceled, so I reached out for a refund or credit towards a future rental since we couldn’t find a new flight to LA. They repeatedly recited corporate policy and told me I was out of luck and that it was my fault I couldn’t find reliable transportation.

Before our rental place to begin, I became injured. They refused to fully refund the deposit that I had placed. Heartless! Never will use their services in the future and will be sure to filter out their company from all future rental car searches. Cruel.

Everything could have been better. It was so bad we canceled our reservation on the spot. First.. the price after ALL the additional add ons was more than Double what I was quoted through Kayak. Second… they rented our group and another group of travelers the same car. We immediately went in and canceled, called Enterprise and got a car for over 100 dollars less than the initial quote. I will never do business with Hertz. It was absolutely shocking it was so bad.

It was all good except the drop off. I arrived at the correct location at the correct time in Tucson and it was closed. I left the key and a note in the drop box but I am concerned I will be charged for extra time until they open. The hours said th we are open 9-12 on Saturday. I was there at 11 am on Saturday. Staff at pick up in LAX were fabulous. The women outside helped me a lot since I had several bags and 2 pet crates. They allowed me to check in with them outside. They were friendly and very accommodating. I appreciated that so much since it was so stressful dealing with all that luggage by myself.

Drop off at San Francisco airport was extremely well organized, quick, and very friendly staff. Pick up at Los Angeles airport went smoothly, although the line was long and we never received the receipt and rental agreement in our email as promised. The agent was friendly but we felt rushed and she didn’t take time to explain things, like insurance. The car was very clean and ran well. We got the car we were promised at booking.

Absolute worst service experienced, was told to go to preferred counter after waiting in line for 45 minutes went to the preferred counter and was refused service. The agent refused to get a manager. I walked out cancelled and went to enterprise and had the best service. Will never use Avis ever again.

Despite completing the digital check-in process, I had to wait in line 40 minutes to speak with an agent and then had to re-answer most of the same questions about extras and insurance that I had already declined. What is the point of encouraging digital check-in if it does not afford me an expedited checkout process and I have to repeat my selections? This process may not be limited to Avis, but it will incentivize me to try another agency who has perhaps updated their rental experience to reflect the available technology and busy lifestyle of their customers.

I changed the car 4 times before leaving Avis depot. The cars allocated to me were dirty, damaged and one was not road worthy.ie damaged tyre, rubber had cut into the steele part of the inner tyre. Some of cars allocated to me smelt of cannabis and had really high mileage ie 60 k plus. I'd welcome a call back from a manager and from previous experience of hiring from Avis I would think again.

The vehicle was nice. It was new and met our expectations. The pick-up point at SanFransisco was nice. There was an air train. It was easy to go to Airport. But the pick-up point in LA was not easy for us to go from Airport. We went by taxi with 2 kids and 4 pieces of baggage. It took a long time to get our vehicle. More than 1 hour.

We waited an hour to check in, finally checked in and then waited 2 hours to get a car because they ran out of cars. We saw many people who came after us get their cars before ours, and only got our car when we did after I started complaining. Staff was friendly enough, but they were short-staffed and clearly over-booked. Worst car rental experience I’ve ever had.

They said my SUV wouldn’t be ready for an hour bc in needed to be cleaned and said there’s an upgrade for a total difference of $79. I accepted. Declined insurance since I prepaid for the one online. I also declined the roadside assistance and prepaid tolls. I quickly signed the new contract for the upgrade without reading the fine print. I asked why it was so much, and was told it was the deposit, which will be returned and the difference will be only $79. When I made my return, turns out the upgrade was $79 per day, not “total difference”, and I had been signed up for roadside assistance and tolls. Complained to the manager who said “you signed the new contract” and claimed she did not know what was verbally offered to me. Be ware of added costs at time of pickup. Read the contract very carefully, even if you clearly verbally decline the extras.

Nothing.First off the pick up/drop offs location is not even at the airport and I was given no heads up about this. In order to get there, I would have had to order 2-3 Uber’s to get my entire family and luggage there. And then try to find 3 more Uber’s at 3 am to get back, upon our return. When I called to find out the location, initially, there employee was extremely rude. I did not pick up my rental and I used a different rental company. I won’t be using this them or kayak again. Kayak should have disclosed this info ahead of time.

Car was upgraded because t that’s all they had. Had to take two shuttles from the airport, not clear on the reservation or call in #. Was told I was 9th in line wait would be almost two hours. I had to change all my plans. Saw another family with children get stranded because they would not rent a car to then after they waited 2 hours. Unlimited miles and they were denied never they had a family reunion in the border of Cali. Horrible service. Will NOT ever book with Midway. Or use kayak. I will book directly with car companies from now on.

This company is very odd and adversarial in their rental experience. I had a reservation, but rather than checking by name they booked me as a walkup customer and tried to charge me 3x the original quote. They ask for a lot of strange information that seemed inappropriate. Also when I asked if I could bring the car back 1 hour late, they stated that they would have to charge me. Seems like they are trying to buckle and dime you rather than providing a service at a reasonable price.

It took me 1.5 hours to get my car. There were 20 customers in line and only 3 agents on duty. Then one of the agents decided to take a lunch. I was literally shopping for another car while I was in line, as were others.Have more agents on duty when they know there are lots of customers scheduled to pick up.

The staff was friendly and useful.The car was dirty and smelled bad. We bought clorox wipes to clean some of the dried stains that we found; it helped with the smell. We also kept the windows open as much as possible to let the air circulate. After a couple days, the smell was contained.

Several things could have been done better... 1. The change oil light came on mid-week. 2. No where in the reservation confirmation or in any of the e-mails leading up to the trip did it tell us that we had to take a shuttle to a hotel to get the car, so we waited for a shuttle for the rental car company at LAX for quite some time before we realized that the company didn't have a shuttle. 3. Two significant unexpected charges were added when we picked up the car, so the rental ended up being much more expensive than we were expecting.

My flight was delayed due to active shooter meaning I would be delayed on when I would pick up the reservation. I found out that this location would only be open until 5pm which I would not be there in time to pick up the vehicle. I tried to call the location to let them know but no one answered. I them reached out to Kayak who said my reservation would be held for 24 hours. I asked if they had a number so I could let Nu Car know I would not be there and they provided me with the same number I had already called. When I called the general number, I had to wait 10 minutes each time to speak with a person. The first time, as soon as they picked up the phone, the call dropped. The second time the call was answered I spoke to the agent and asked her to repeat herself twice since it was loud going through TSA check point again. The call dropped or she hung up on me. I sent an email asking about me reservation but did not hear back. The following morning, I arrived to the location to pick up my reservation and they said they no longer would honor the reservation. I told them about holing the reservation for 24 hours, which is what Kayak said Nu Car would do and they informed me they do not honor that. Since I was already there, I rented from them but close to double of the rate of the initial reservation. They also informed me that the rental rate I had been given through Kayak would not have been honored since the price given was due to a glitch in their system. After looking at reviews for this specific location, it appears other customers have experienced booking at a certain rate, only to find out when they pick up the rental that the rate they were given was not honored. I would recommend removing them from Kayak. Their customer service scores was 1.3 out of 5 stars.

Very poor experience with NU car rental in LA, there were no cars available for myself and several other customers who had made reservations and prepaid. The person who informed everyone that cars were not available also redirected us to another rental company down the street called Sakura Car Rental, which was excellent. Do yourself a favor and bypass NU and go straight to Sakura.

It’s worse. My flight got delayed but I was there just after 5 minutes of my time frame and they said they don’t have a car which I booked. They were offering me a mini van which I don’t want with the family for 4. The staff were so rude, no consideration if your flight is late for any reason. I hate this company. I would rather prefer to pay more and go with other renown company like budget or enterprise. Furthermore they are not located at the airport. I was supposed to pick car from LAX airport. But they don’t have shuttle. They shared shuttle with westin hotel. Really, how would I know that I have to take westin hotel shuttle by being LAX huge airport at first time. They don’t have proper instructions. Also they were not picking phone if you call them. Very poor service. I have two small kids with me and they have no sympathy or consideration for their client. The experience with Priceline and NU Car were horrible. Our flight was delayed by two hours and when we arrived at NU Car, they had given the car away since we missed the “two hour” window….so they cancelled our reservation. We then had to try to reach Priceline Customer Service…which was impossible and a total joke! Never again on Priceline or NU Car Rental. Pay the slight differential to rent from an established provider!

When we could not understand what she was telling us - she just kept repeating it with no additional explanation. They have you just go over by yourself and pick out a car when they are all parked in so tight there are few options. They are also mostly kias even though your reservations says Toyota or something similar for midsize car. Misleading and unhelpful.

The car was really beat up, brakes were worn, transmission stuttered between lower gears. It was not cleaned on the outside and all the windows were very dirty. The location was understaffed for check in. Multiple shuttles were needed which was not mentioned anywhere and proved rather inconvenient. I would not recommend.

I reserved and paid for a luxury sedan (Infinity Q50). They provided a standard sedan (Dodge Charger) with no credit or refund against my fees. They also charged me $90.00 for picking up the car early. This is a classic criminal bait-and-switch fraud operation. A scum company. What could have been better? For starters, they shouldn’t have been deceptive and deliberately dishonest. The counter person told me they didn’t even have the model I booked in their fleet. Total liars and fraudsters.

Unfortunately the rental office was not ready to handle what seemed to be multiple reservations on a Friday afternoon. It took two hours before we were able to get the rental vehicle. The vehicle we rented was a standard size SUV, we got a 2018 Dodge Journey with a questionable condition tire, bad wipers and the car engine was just horrible to drive in the LA freeways. We rented the car to drive up to mammoth mountain, and the experience was awful with this vehicle; luckily it didn’t break down. I would not recommend this location for rentals in LA.

Be aware that the shuttle bus to this agency, a shabby office a mile and a half from the airport, departs from a different location (a pink sign) than those buses serving other car rental offices. A long wait for us, so we ended up grabbing a taxi to get there. Be aware too that once you are there the office requires tangible proof of insurance - when my card wasn't sufficient unto this purpose, they made me call my insurance company so they could talk to it themselves. The guy in the line next to me was so outraged by their demands he started shouting, and they cancelled the reservation right then and there. ("We are calling the police," the woman at the desk said. And he said, "You're calling the police? I'm calling the police! I am the one calling the police.") The windshield on our car wasn't quite sealed - we felt a steady small draft of air, as we drove around.

Really Poor experience with this company. If price is at all comparable to a reputable company, go with the reputable one. First of all, they provided instructions of how to get their shuttle to get to the airport. These instructions were clearly out of date, so much so, that I tried to cancel from the curb and book with enterprise. Once I finally made it to the facility, I knew this wasn't going to go well. The place's appearance matched the service they would provide. The line was not terribly long, but it took about 30 minutes per person, for some reason. (For comparison, last time I flew to LAX, I was in an out of enterprise in about 5 minutes total.) Once I was being helped, I had to provide information I already had entered online, which took a while. Moreover, the desk agent confused and tricked me into extra features, which I didn't understand. Ultimately, I was given an economy car when I had paid extra for an SUV. The car was in pretty rough shape. It rattled, and I was worried it was on the verge of falling apart. Upon return, I was unable to give a receipt, and it seemed as though the staff did not have control over the amount of people around. Moreover, I asked for the shuttle back and told it would be there in 15 minutes. After 25 minutes, I asked if I could get a status update on the shuttle. They could not get a hold of it, and I waited another 15 minutes before calling an uber.

They do not honor the insurance purchased through Kayak so beware. The whole renting experience with them felt like a scam. Also they put a $400 hold on your card if you don’t get their insurance, and you have to prove your personal insurance will cover the car. So be prepared to show them all your insurance information. I just dropped the car off today so hopefully they don’t try to hit me with any extra charges for some reason. Last thing, the employees were not the nicest of people either.

They pushed insurance HARD. I have travel insurance plus insurance on my own car (which covers rentals) and insurance through my credit card. After declining all their overpriced insurance which I didn’t need I was lectured on how I’m going to regret not buying theirs and how an accident is going to cost me so much money. Then I had to show them proof of my insurance and provide copies of my policy. Much to their surprise, disappointment and annoyance I HAD a copy of my insurance on my Geico app.

AMPM was just bad newsThey mixed up my pick up time. I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 12 noon, they had me picking up at 2pm. She was adamant about this 2pm pick up time until I showed her my reservation on my phone. After this got worked out, she told me that they not only didn't have the vehicle I requested, they only had one vehicle on site- a gigantic minivan, which isn't ideal for city driving. When returning the vehicle they drop you off about a mile away from the shuttle because, in our driver's words "We don't pay to enter the parking lot" A mile walk carrying luggage at the end of the trip isn't how you want to end a trip.

Great priceI liked that the service was the cheapest I found for the weekend. I have rented out of LAX before and I have waited over 30 minutes to get the right shuttle to arrive. This shuttle went around pretty frequently, and you end up in a random lot but AMPM is there when you arrive, ready with your car. They take you back to the hotel where their office is and process your paper work. The process is pretty quick and the service is great.The cars could use a car wash, at least the one we got. It wasn't very dirty, and we did't mind it too much, its just when you rent a car you expect it to be clean. For the price and the service it's not too bad.

It took us an additional 3 hours to get our car rental, including waiting for the first shuttle to get to a parking lot, waiting for the second shuttle while fighting with other Green Motion customers to get on it, waiting in line to check out, finding insurance information, then figuring out how to cram my 6-member family into the "7 seater" they offered us. It was a nightmare. My 8 and 10 year olds complained the entire time because they had no leg room. I cannot discourage renting from this company enough. Do not do it! You'll be pissed before even starting your vacation.

Pick up was pretty straightforward. Car was clean and ready to go. They offered a shuttle to the airport after returning the vehicle, which was a big selling point. They rechecked our rental return dropoff time and our flight time and said it all looked good. Drop off was chaotic and frustrating. There were no clear directions for what to do with the car other than a small arrow-shaped sign stating "returns". It was a dead- end drive, so the cars that parked to "return" were inspected, but then needed to reverse back out of the lane to a ramp that led into the building. This resulted in new returning cars blocking those that were inspected and needing to be backed out. I was told to park in a parking spot while they would "clear it out for me". Then 2 additional returning cars drove up into the cleared out "returns" lane. It was very uncoordinated. Super irritating for me to see people who were later dropping off their rentals to be serviced before me as I was awaiting further instruction. Two shuttles came and left in the time I was waiting to give back my keys and sign off. We arrived at 2:10 pm to drop off the car and did not get onto a shuttle until after 3. Our flight was at 4:20! Other passengers were also frantic about flight times, while the shuttle driver had left the van to go help the returns staff move cars. He yelled at one passenger saying "you're not my only customer, I have others!" They then held back our full shuttle while someone else was outside disputing their bill. Driver then proceeded to cram more people than there were seats for into the shuttle. Thankfully our departure gate was the 2nd one, but we had so much stress about whether we'd make it through TSA and onto the terminal shuttle connection and to our gate. I would not recommend this rental company.

The Worst Scam of my lifeAnother tipical rent a car company whose main purpose is cheating their clients. My best advice is avoid to rent a car with these scammers.

The instructions and convenience to pick up the car are awful. You have to go to the most random parking garage attached to the Renaissance Hotel. Was very difficult to find and not very convenient. The staff was nice and the car was good, but felt like I was renting a car in a third world country.

There were no shuttles when I arrived. I was told to take an Uber and that I’d be reimbursed. The Uber was $45 and I was not reimbursed until I asked about it upon my return.

Two things that I really didn't like! First it was the price increase compared to the website, almost doubled the price from the website plus insurance! The second thing is the location, it doesn't say ANYWHERE where this rental car place is situated, there is no shuttle to the rental, we found out that there is one but it is to the Marriott, because the rental place is on top of this rennaiscence hotel by Marriott. We had to search and walk for a good while because we took the wrong shuttle.

Was offered an Ez Pass for $15.00 but was never given it. Was charged for it but it was not deducted from the bill when we told them we never got it.

HorribleThe people at silver car were very friendly and nice and gave us a ride to another rental car service ( Hertz )I will never book with kayak again, there was no fine print stating that I had to be over the age of 22 so when we got to silver car with all of our luggge expecting to get a car we were turned down because of age requirements!!! There was also no way for me to get my 48$ back from what I put down on the rental because I booked through a 3rd party app. So yeah KAYAK y’all suck . Go to HERTZ

Advantage LAX from a management point of view was disastrous. Not only did they not have an SUV per our booking, it took over TWO HOURS to get from the kerbside outside the airport waiting for their shuttle bus, to completing the paperwork and being given the car. Would never use again.

予約後メールで問い合わせても返信無し。 空港ピックアップも1号車で10分の距離なのに1時間近く待たされた。 12日間のレンタルにしたが追加の保険で500ドル請求された。フリーマイレージも1800(150miles x 12 days)マイルついていたのだが、予定により2日早く返却したら、12日分払ったのにも関わらずその二日分をフリーマイレージの制限から外れると主張され1500マイルに。追加請求された。おかしいから上司に聞けと言ったらフロントの黒人スタッフは俺の仕事じゃない、と。。 営業時間も説明書と実際が異なり、営業時間ギリギリに行ったら閉まってた。 They are super unkind. They never reply my inquiry even though i sent a few messages right after booking. -No reply -Additional insurance was 500 USD for 12 days -Free mileage was 150 miles per day.i returned 2 days earlier but the 2 days was not inclided in the free mileage even though i paid for 12 days Anyway this is the worst experience in my stay. NEVER recommended

Never picked up my car yet still had to pay full rental fee. I tried to explain my flight was delayed and I couldn't make in time to pick up my car before the shop closed so I had to cancel. These were circumstances beyond my control but this business charged me a cancellation fee that was equivalent to the full cost of my rental. What a ripoff!

Hidden TermsThe car was new and clean.They rely on Carrentals.com which has a horrible customer service experience. I wanted to adjust my booking, but Carrentals.com insisted that U-SAVE policy would not allow it unless I booked another car with them. When I arrived to pick up my car, U-SAVE mandated that I purchase third party liability insurance from them as they don't accept Canadian or international insurance coverage. This consequently raised the cost of my rental by another $250. I will not use them again.

Fraud Alert!! This company is a scam.The numbers given on the reservation - one was the corporate HQ in Mississippi which didn't answer the phones and the local number was a disconnected Verizon wireless number. No shuttles despite advertisement, and when I took taxi to the address in the reservation there was no such business there. What the heck? This wasn't at any small airport, it was at LAX. Several hours later when I'm already in another company's rental car I got a call back from the HQ who said the reservation email must have had old phone number and address. As for the shuttle, they would have needed me to take a shuttle to a private parking garage telling them I'm using their lot and then crossing the street. That is shady as heck. Too bad for them I already listed this as a fraudulent/scam charge on my credit card. Lady at HQ said they would fight it, and I broke my cool and told them to suck an egg. Good luck getting your $32 from me.

2 types of insurance and the car still wasn't coveThe weather on the day of pick up was pretty good.The Alianz insurance I paid for during the online booking process only covered me for personal injury. When I arrived at U-save, I was forced to pay extra for the mandatory liability insurance required by the state of California. I had paid for two types of insurance and still had no cover on the actual car I was driving. I've rented cars through a number of companies in L.A and wasn't surprised to be screwed with the insurance. There's room in the market for a rental company with transperancy, maybe U-save could be the change.
