At least there's a good bar called Cronies close by to go and drown your sorrows for staying at such a dump
Quite place Showers 2 short but good
Great size pool for young children. The landscaping was very beautiful. They wouldn't let me do an early check-in. Had to wait around with a 3 year old, and a 9 year old for 2 and 1/2 half hours before being able to check-in after 3pm.
I couldn't believe they charged my card before I even got there. Then when I got too tired to drive anymore they wouldn't refund my money
Room was clean Very basic amenities. Bed uncomfortable.
You get what you pay for and that's what you receive here. You will get your money's worth and more. Pleasantly surprised. I would stay here again without hesitation!
This location has new , clean rooms. For the price, you can't beat it. Friendly staff. The bed was so-so. Extra cost for wi-fi. Low water pressure.
the room was clean and decorated in a sleek euro style with efficient use of space and aesthetically pleasing details. we got a good nights sleep - all we needed. bare bones amenities including skimpy rough towels, tiny bars of soap and that was it. one vending area. deteriorating stairs. check in process seemed to assume we were potential rowdies or criminals.
When we first came in, they gave us a one bed when I reserved a two queen bed. The front desk clerk was rude. The internet is $5 per day for each device. They had us switch room, the second room smelled old and musty. My friends and I stayed there for 4 days, 3 nights and we had been itching the whole time. When we got home from our trip, I went to see the doctor because my rashes got worse, the doctor said it got infected and caused Cellulitis. My friends Still has the bites and it's all over our bodies.
Didn't like that there were no deadbolts on the doors, I defiantly didn't feel safe and secure.
NOTHING. Completely awful. Roach in hotel room (others said the same-I guess we got lucky and only saw 1), lights went out through the outside of the whole hotel-a lawsuit waiting to happen once someone falls down the stairs, mildew on walls in bathroom, stained towels, powder on floor-(treated for bed bugs?). Save your money and go elsewhere.
Liked nothing. Staff was very rude. Only one outlet worked. Bathtub had a hole in it covered by a thin piece of plastic....thought I would fall through it. Room pictures provided on website look a lot better than the actual accommodations. I do not recommend.
The pool and spa The room was bare. No clock, no hair blow dryer, no bar soap. I am very surprised it was given a 3 star rating. We will never stay there again.
Some of the staff were very courteous and attentive, responding to questions and assistance I needed, and very friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable, quite a bit better than some other places I've stayed in the area, as well as a nice size. There is fantastic access to restaurants in the area and the Premier Inn itself is very easy to find. I quite liked having a selection of places to eat within walking distance. Had an issue with neighbors playing loud music and after I called the front desk to have them turn it down, they retaliated by pounding on my door and running off in the middle of the night. Not the fault of the staff, but still annoying and a bit alarming. I requested a fridge and microwave in my room when I booked online, but did not get either. I wasn't notified at all that I wouldn't get one ahead of checking in and when I did find out upon check in, the man at the front desk told me that fridges and microwaves are only available in certain rooms. There are no further explanation or offer to be moved to a room with a fridge and microwave. I'm not sure why some rooms would have it and some not, since there was plenty of space in my room to accommodate a mini fridge and small microwave.
The whole place was filthy and reaked. I would not stay again
Price... The smell of our room was atrocious. Like urine in a nursing home. This hotel is for extended stay on a poor budget. The clientele reflects the hotel. The price was cheap and reflected in the product. Only stay here is it is your only monetary option!
It was right off the freeway. I had to kill 2 roaches, found cigarette burns in the sheets of my nonsmoking room which smelled like stale smoke, the mini fridge did not work, there were stains on the walls & ceilings and the carpet was sticky. We checked in late, slept in our clothes, and immediately left when we got up the next morning. It was pretty gross.
The price is right All the rooms even the non smoke rooms smelled like smoke. A few people asked to switch rooms but all rooms were booked so we were stuck with the rooms.
Good location for what i needed. 45 min north of LAX which could be 1.5 hours in peak traffic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Older facility right on interstate 101. A bit loud and run down but served its purpose for an inexpensive place to stay.
Nothing. All around horrible don't make the mistake I did
Everything was clean. No weather stepping on bottom of doors. Made the night very cold even with the heater on.
location near highway, close to shopping malls and stuff like that quite loud, shower isn't that clean
Cheap Rate. Good A/C Dirty bathroom, Mold in shower. Shower head too low.
Nothing Everything. We booked for one night. But when we came after mid night we saw that room , sheets, bath were very dirty and stains were everywhere. We reject to stay and prefer to sleep in the car because it was Saturday night and all hotels around were fully booked. After our complaints night manager offered to reimburse us which we still didn't receive yet.
I liked bathroom and the bed super comfy. Parking , the fact that people live there oh and the fact the cops showed up because drugs
The bathtub was large, The wifi worked great, and they give you a cookie upon check-in. The bed was really uncomfortable and squeaky. The walls were super thin and I heard everything. Parking was right outside of rooms so you heard people coming and going and car alarms. Tub was stained, sink didn't work properly and drain smelled like sulfur. I would skip this place and try La Quinta inn.
just a bed & shower
Was there for pleasure, that's what I got. Would have liked fluffier pillows.
For the price and location, great! Very clean. A bit noisy, due to the 101 FWY.
Can't beat the price. Great for those travellers that are just passing through and need a bed to crash for a night. The location is good too, right next to outlets and theater. The rooms are very basic. Clean, but not squeaky clean. My room had a funky odor, like someone forgot to flush. The biggest drawback, however, is that there's no free wifi. $5 for 24 hrs of slow wifi.
The price We found someone's dirty shirt under our bed
They have a security guard that patrols from 10PM to 6AM. Right next to the outlets in Camarillo! Lot's of "thuggish" looking individuals that tried "mad dogging' me at numerous times. Now I'm Latino and perhaps maybe they felt insecure about me, but get rid of that show of bravado. I realized that the low prices attracts people like that, next time I'll pay $20 more to get piece of mind. Pillows smelled like cigarette/marijuana.
Great place to stay for a night and good value. The outside noises can filter into your room and no amenities on site. Some maintenance was done in my room without my knowledge leaving the carpet very wet and the A/C failed to work after the maintenance visit. Front desk staff member not too concerned about my informing him of the wet carpet and unannounced work in my room.
The location was good. The fact that the Camarillo outlet stores were right next door was an added plus. The pillows on the bed were a bit flat. There was no jacuzzi.
Clean, quiet, well-appointed room. Fitness center, pool, mini putting green, oversized chess board, garden area, wifi, breakfast, drink tickets at Brendan's, all included for a great price! It's such a great value, especially with little ones. The exterior and room decor is a little dated, maybe a little worn.
Amazing breakfast included! Staff very friendly. Clean and wuiet with a great location.
The hotel itself is nice for the price, but management charge me two separate $50 holds, $139 for no reason and $150 for a smoking fee because the fire alarm was missing. I don't even smoke! I booked through HOTELS.com and they still charged me f$139 or the room upon arrival without my knowledge. What's going on here???
The breakfast buffet was awesome! The hostess was very friendly and pleasant. The pool was very nice as was the hot tub; I just wish the weather had been less windy and chilly. No real complaints but my husband had some travelers checks and they would not cash one which was upsetting; especially since we were staying there at the hotel for five days. The grocery store, Ralphs, took care of it for us.
Loved the pool, hot tub, and hot breakfast! Bathroom didn't have a fan and the water from the sink took a long time to drain.
We enjoyed the beautiful grounds The room service through the restaurant was poor. Or food took 1.5 hours, was cold, and the burger was undercooked
Price was reasonnable Room was clean Toilet flush was broken Breakfast until 9:30 only Quite noisy in the morning
It was so delightfully quiet, convenient and comfortable. We would highly recommend staying there for any reason!!
There was a smell in the bathroom including the lobby
I asked for early check-in and they accommodated my request hotel could use an aesthetic update.
The rooms are small and it seemed like a very inexperienced person tried to update the room and bathroom. The walls were dirty in some places, and someone may have used the wrong type of paint to touch up the walls, which made it look like there were greasy marks in some places. I didn't feel safe there, for some reason. It's not very inviting. Also, when I was trying to check out in the morning, the lady was on a personal call and I had to wait for a couple minutes it seemed, before she decided to end the call to help me. I also would have appreciated more information from the nice people working the night before when I had checked in, like where the best place to park would have been for my room. Since they never told me anything about the layout, I just figured that I would find 1 main entrance, but that wasn't the case. We ended up parking in the back of the building, hauling our luggage up to the 3rd floor, just to find that our room was in the very front of the building.
The restaurant staff/food was excellent plus the breakfast voucher was quite generous. Although they did not have a fitness room, they had an exchange/agreement with nearby Gold's Gym that was complimentary - no charge within walking distance. This was a huge personnel plus. And, the pool was very nice, the rooms were private, quiet and very comfortable.
Very close to everything that we enjoy. No gym. You have to drive to another location.
Easy to get in and out, great location. Balcony in room, could leave open. Breakfast that was offered for free was good. Ac worked great, but had door open for air. Would denfinitly stay there again. Very close to expressway, room facing it, a little loud with balcony door open, but fine closed. Smokers from below, had smoke coming into room with balcony door open.
Controlled parking Needs updated toilets, fan for bathroom. Receptionist was just ok. Italian restaurant attached to hotel was too expensive and not very good. It would be better if they were separate so I wouldn't have to associate the restaurant with the hotel.
The beds of the hotel were nice and the bathroom had a very nice tub and shower. Those were the only highlights on this stay. The wifi in our room did not work at all and they said it was because we were in a part of the hotel where the signal was weak. They told me to hook the ethernet cable to my laptop and even that didn't work. It took 3 calls down to the front desk to get someone to finally fix the ethernet cable. The first night we came in, there must have been an event or a load of people at the restaurant in the hotel because we could not find a parking space anywhere remotely close to the entrance of the hotel. By the next morning half those cars were gone so I knew they weren't guests. The walls of the hotel were also sort of thin and I could hear someone next door talking loudly on their phone. Overall it was not a pleasant experience and I would not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
Live music at the Arena, total comfort in my room, nice restaurant, good food, good wine!
Great Value for the room ,located close to shopping Low water pressure, stale smell in rooms
Excellent value. Great amenities: gym, bar & grill, pool, WiFi & wired internet access. Water pressure was very low, making it difficult to shower. I understand conservation but I would prefer to make that a conscious decision rather than be forced by the plumbing.
The bed was comfortable Because we didn't book through the hotel the meager breakfast that others got for free cost us $10 each. After enough complaining they took that charge off. Other places offer free bottles of water - this place charged 2.50 if you drank one. The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it said it was a no smoking room.
The location is nice, close to shopping and coffee. Pool and hot tub area is nice and clean. Rooms were not very clean, old, tub stained, shower curtain moldy, fridge was off when arrived and once on it froze our drinks, hard to get in and out of with baby things.
GREAT PRICE, CLOSE TO VENUE.
Convince Maid service spotty and never complete
Tv sound was set so that we could not adjust volume and when air conditoner was running could not hear TV. Was told BT t the desk this c was done by cable company. That made no sense.
staff, room bath towels needed to be larger and I'm a small person!
I like that the hotel has everything in it. Little gift shop, cafe, room service, etc, the other hotels in the area don't have any of these things. It's really a good size and rather comfortable room for the money. The 2 rooms I was in needed painting on the bathroom doors, the Door security feature in both rooms were worn out. Light bulbs in bathroom needed changing.
Quiet, relatively comfortable rooms. Restaurant and room service very over priced
location was great room was not what I made reservations for. I made two reservations for me and a co-worker for 2 king rooms. 1 room was fine, the other room was an ADA room on the first floor with two queen beds that had not been cleaned. The shower still had residue so I asked to be moved to a different room. Second room was part of an adjoining room where the deadbolt did not work and it was still an ADA room and the beds were on the floor.
I stayed the night before at the Wynn in 'Vegas then had meetings near the Westlake Village Hyatt. Although the room was clean, it was dated and I was given a room that seemed much more like a jail cell with a small window set into the wall that was 2 feet sunk into the wall. Bad Room!
Great location New fitness equipment Room not clean upon arrival (hair on pillows, bath floor and tub) Staff not friendly Thermostat didn't regulate room temp well
Check in/check out was easy. We were greeted by staff on entering and leaving every time. The food and service at the restaurant and bar were good. The room was attractive, well-appointed and comfortable in typical Hyatt fashion. TV was high quality HD flat screen with digital access. Hotel had convenient access to/from the 101 freeway. The room overall was very clean, except under the desk, where little scraps of wire and dust balls indicated it had not been vacuumed in some time. Like a lot of older properties, plugs for iPads and phones were not convenient. Sockets on lamp bases would not accommodate chargers and there were no extra sockets around the desk (hence, my discovery of the detritus). Furnishings in the lobby area were sparse and austere. Clearly, you're not being invited to hang around the lobby and read.
Staff was attentive!
I particularly like the pillows. I don't know where the hotel industry gets them, but I'm on a search for my own bed!
Breakfast was beyond what was expected. The pool and outdoor space was very attractive. The layout of the hotel was very nice. Very clean and comfortable. Check-in staff was super. The style of the interior of the rooms was a bit outdated.
the breakfast was great! the beds werent comfortable and the room was a little outdated
Breakfast was very nice. Rooms and infrastructure are in desperate need of updating. Horribly ugly patched up bathtub, Counter torn out of room replaced with closet, but in a very depressing way. It was sad to spend so much money on such bare minimum surroundings.
Lock on my door wouldn't work therefore I was unavle to get into my room 3 times until they were able to solve the issue. Communication and resolution was very poor.
The location was close to many things, food wasn't in shortage near the hotel! And there are many markets *Target, Ralphs were within 5 min drive. It was a quite, very good stay for the price On the second night, we learned that the freezers aren't exactly like the ones in a normal home so DON'T BUY ICE CREAM AND PUT IT IN THERE. Also there was a couple of surprise guests, 2 crickets that came in through a missed hole from the caulking. Its all good though, aside from that this location was EXTREMELY clean and welcoming
The staff was professional and courteous. The price matched our expectations. It felt like a hotel on the decline. It felt like its peak was in 1992, and has since been in need of a large renovation.
Wonderful breakfast, close to freeway and shopping, friendly staff Bathroom needed updating
Great staff, great hotel Staff, food and room
The staff was kind and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast was outstanding! There are no elevators. We were fine but if you have any challenges with stairs request a first floor room.
Very, very clean rooms and super comfy beds & a delicious warm breakfast! We would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ocean view. Old shower heads. Uncomfortable furniture. Outdated music appliances. Unromantic decor and feel, kind've hospital-like.
location, service, room, view, proximity to great restaurants and the best/easiest wifi at any hotel we've stayed...
The room was very nice. Spacious with nice amenities. The free cocktail hour was okay and the complimentary buffet breakfast was awesome. I asked why the pool was closed and the employee said, "Some kid barfed in the pool earlier today". Perhaps some training on how to communicate with the public is in order. Although I did appreciate the girl's honesty.
The heated pool was very nice, clean, and large. I liked the game room during the happy hour as well. The halls were dirty, stained, and had a musty odor. The fire alarms went off several times during the day with no explanation besides "the cleaning must have bumped it" which doesn't make sense.
Beach is beautiful, private. Open bar for 2 hours! Decent food free breakfast helpful, friendly staff Bike rentals!
The size of the suite. The breakfast had a nice assortment of foods to choose from We had been there before, several times. The lobby is boring and doesn't have that elegant feel. The coast grill is the same as the lobby. We were in bldg. 2, no signs telling you were the elevator is, and our room, 310, is on the other side of the bldg. with no elevator near by. We will NOT go back to this property. It looks like the hotel is going under.
Clean and paradise feel to the hotel Great hotel but a little over priced rooms and parking.
How close we were to the beach and pool, breakfast was decent just depends on the time you go, the room was big Only warm water in hotel, bath faust wasn't working right, the garden view we had a big pillar blocking it, drain was broken if you wanted to take a bath, loved the scenery BUT not worth $200+ a night
Almost everything was great We had plumbing issues in our room and we were not able to put have movies
A plethora of vending machines other than just soft drinks. Everything a more upscale hotel would have in the "room bar" if you open would cost an arm & a leg. The machines are much more resonably priced. We were on the first floor. There was too much noise in the room directly above us afte 10pm. We had small kids, 1 & 5 that needed to stay asleep
We really liked this hotel. Friendly and helpfull staff. Nice rooms, well maintained garden. Absolutely recommended,
the location was great for shopping, and close to LA airport.Ideal for staying 1 night before taking a flight.
Breakfast was good and a nice inner garden Guest smoking in the inner garden under our window late at night.
Location and some of the hotel staff was helpful. They were not very accomadating to children.
This is a modest hotel, well maintained, clean and simple. Grand bathroom vanity, with good lighting ing the bathroom, quiet vent, clean shower. Comfy bed. The continental breakfast includes good coffee, fresh fruit, oatmeal packs including plain. The courtyard is very pleasantly landscaped with green and flowers, and we saw several people sitting out at their tables, on their 1st floor patios, and in the charming gazebo. It's a well run, well maintained motel style inn with courteous professional staff. I'm an ex-smoker, and so when smoke drifts up toward the stairwell, to the second floor, from the courtyard patios where guests are allowed to smoke, it bothers me. the occasional smokers will sit on their patios and smoke and that dampers the pleasure of the stroll through the courtyard. I don't like the smell and don't want to breathe it.
The grounds were attractive and the jacuzzi was inviting.
Bathroom was clean. Bed was comfortable. WiFi signal was strong. It was a decent place to stay. Breakfast was good, standard motel food. It is an older place and shows some signs of age on the outside of the building and in the hallways.
the location of the hotel and the value for money the cleanliness of the room
how reasonable it was comapared to other hotels in this expensive area. no
very nice setting, well presented and clean. the jaccuzzi pool/spa was'nt working,so we we're unable to use it.
beautiful hotel - fully furnished and clean room - excellent breakfast - nice pool and garden - spacious parking and very affordable!
Pretty much all aspects - great value Food took forever to be prepared but they were swamped.
Very nice, clean and quiet. Though our room faced the freeway on a busy Friday afternoon, we didn't hear any of that noise. Will stay here again when traveling through Ventura County.
Rooms were on the small side, but still cozy. A comfortable bed and hot shower with neutragena bath products was nice The workers at the front desk could you a tremendous amount of improvement.
The girl who helped us check in was nice. The bed was super comfy, very nice location as well I did not like how there were about 3 employees at the front desk, not doing anything. A supervisor even came out and she was talking to one of the employees instead of helping us check into our room. There was a very big moth in the room (crazy right?) and that seems dirty to me. When we were leaving, not once did the girl at the front desk ask how our stay was when I asked her if we needed to check out before we left.. But whatever I guess.. People just don't have great customer service
the food was good I went for an escape from my busy life - I wanted to sleep and relax. The AC unit was so loud and clunky it woke me up every time it turned on. The walls were thin so I was woken up early by people passing in the hall as well as the people in the room next door. I tried to go back to bed after the breakfast, but the housekeeping was vacuuming in nearby rooms so again, too noisy to sleep. It was disappointing and the bed wasn't even very comfortable
Clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and beds. Pillows were too puffy:)
Cleanliness of the room Room layout Brightness of the room A/C control was very accurate Kitchenette area Seating area and desk The bed was a little hard Couch was a little hard to sit on
The bed was very comfortable. Check in and check out were efficient and brief. The waffles and oatmeal were good. The breakfast was underwhelming. The hot food was gross and the bagels/breads were stale. The hot tub wasn't hot and there were no towels by the pool. I think I over paid for what we got. I think I'll try across the street next time.
comfortable and modern rooms. good complementary breakfast
Cleanliness, staff friendliness, overall good breakfast. Next night we stayed at a Hilton in Monterey and the rooms were small, terrible carpet, and too expensive Did not enjoy driving through parking lot to get to hotel. Should have easy access offa main road
Overall everything was great, I use to live in the area & for last minute reservations for New Year's Eve night with a 3 month old the acommendations were perfect. We checked in about 5:30pm New Year's Eve, just walked right up to the desk. 2 young ladies were behind the counter & immediately let me know they would be right with me. One was Showing the other how to do something, when another employee walked in behind the desk & was told "oh you can help her" she was very rude when she helped me not even a hello, have a nice night you can tell she didn't want to be there.
Convenient to freeway, gas station, Walgreens, and casual restaurants. Breakfast was good, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, hot coffee, etc. every morning plus the "to-go" brown bag breakfasts are available for those in a hurry. The bed was super comfortable. Not as clean as other Hampton Inns I have stayed at and the front desk usually only had one person who was on the phone most of the time. The hotel faces the freeway, the traffic noise was very loud. There were no lights on in the parking lot the first night; it was really dark and creepy getting to my car! I was there for three days and there was the same little pile of what looked like paper bits and crumbs on the floor by the elevators the entire time. The hall carpets are very stained EVERYWHERE. The tops of the lights by the bed, picture frames, baseboards, top of the headboard, back edge of the desk were all dusty, there was mineral buildup all along the bottom of the shower door and it was obvious that vacuuming between the furniture was not done regularly. The entire hotel gave the impression that they are short staffed so cut corners on service and cleanliness.
Good space and food, clean.
Everything was comfortable and clean. The kitchen was really nice, and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Breakfast food was greasy, and low quality. There was some maintenance issues - tiles on the bathroom floor were cracked and a lot of the grout was gone/coming out.
I enjoyed staying in the room with the full kitchen. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The view of the golf course was very pleasant.
Nicely decorated studio with all the comforts of home. Beautiful view of golf course and gardens. Clean and comfortable. Good location. Short drive to restaurants, beach, Downtown Oxnard, or Ventura. Planning to stay here in the future.
Checking in and out was efficient. Excellent cooking facilities. Comfortable bed. The front door was not exactly the same shape as the frame for it so that there was light coming through in places. This made me feel unsafe and all the more since the front door was particularly thin. The apartment was extremely dark. Bathroom tiles looked as if they were going to come off. Toilet paper holder was broken and the cleaner would know this as it was in pieces every day but noone attempted to fix it.
cooking kitchen for family stay. Spacious room. a little bit remote distance of parking.
Loves everything. Beautifully designed. Breakfast was better than going to a restaurant. Will never forget my stay there and will recommend. Kind staff lovely Thank you for making such a big part of our memories
Nice big studio apartment style rooms. Love the free breakfast and light dinner service in the hotel lobby. Nice for golfers as there's an adjacent golf course. As part of my job I stay 2 nights a week in the Oxnard-Ventura area and have done so for 7 years. In the course of these 7 years I have sampled just about all of the two star and above hotels in the area many times each. In my opinion, this hotel offers the best value for a business traveler for a short trip. A lot of remodeling now, but that's temporary. It's in a residential neighborhood, and doesn't have a restaurant, so no place to go eat within walking distance if you choose not to have the free breakfast or light dinner provided in the lobby.
The staff, pool, the room was great and views.
Great room, quiet neighboorhood, extremely friendly and helpful staff, everything complimentary, hospitality hour
Location and access was great. Well kept, maintained and clean. Staff was helpful and friendly. Bathroom vent fans were both old and loud when turned on--LOUD.
I loved my room and how everything was set up. Perfectly met my needs for this one night stay. The best part was their complementary breakfast. Room cleaning tried to sneak in before my required check out time.
Rooms were outstanding ! Super clean and comfortable.
upgraded to the 'big' room with bathtub (with jets) in the room, it was nice, quieter than I would've expected being right next to the highway, but super easy to get around from, good breakfast. not much, our room was on the end, so easy access to the stairs, everything was great.
Free breakfast; reasonable room rates
Handsome clean rooms with crisp fresh white sheets and a comfortable bed. Four of us stayed four nights comfortably in one room.
Comfortable beds, cleanliness, spacious room. Thin walls (I could hear the elevator on the other side of our wall and children in the hall). The extra-cost breakfast service closed at 9:30am (too early).
The room was clean, very comfortable and excellent price. Nice lcd tv, comfy bed with excellent bedding and lots of pillows. Though close to the freeway, it was not noisy. Plenty of dining options close by. Excellent value! Did not include breakfast as all our other hotels did, at least Starbucks is close by!
