KAYAK

Pros:

The people at the Meridian office were "apologetic" and nice, but couldn't help me.

Cons:

Everything. (1) Kayak did not provide Hertz my phone number although I have confirmation (screen shot) that it was given and Hertz said they did not receive that inforamtion from Kayak. (2) I am headed to Knoxville TN to do an inspection on an airplane and I had to be there by 3:30 to do the inspction. When I arrive at Hertz (Meridian, MS) they tell me they do not have any cars for me to rent, even though I have a confirmation. They do tell me that they have one in the shop with a "tire issue" but it will be afternoon before it is ready. My pickup was at 8:00 AM. (3) Now, I am stranded, without a rental car. I call Enterprise Rental, who initially said they wouldn't allow a one way drop off, but the local shop said "yes" we can do that, just cost $75.00 more. Enterprise had me in a car by 9:15PM an $200.00 cheaper than Hertz. Sorry Hertz, but your done with me. Kayak?? Third party rental sites have left me high and dry two times in a row now. Price Line canceled my reservation and didn't notify me and Kayak didn't pass my phone number on to Hertz so that they could have at least called me. I'm done with both of them.
